Group C: Ravenclaw vs Slytherin
With Damion’s cast going off successfully, Aida beamed a smile back at him that she knew he wouldn’t be able to see. Yet, once a spell aimed at her had gone awry and hit him instead, she grew concerned. Of course, everyone was destined to hurt in duelling, especially during this match. The white witch looked back at her Slytherin friends and, having sidestepped Alexander’s cast, she decided that she had been right. Neither of them were holding back. Unfortunately Aida would have to bring pain to Ileen and Alexander, but hopefully it was for the best for them.

Even though the tension was present in the room -this was a duel, after all- it was still nice to see that the duellists treated each other with respect. The smoke from the previous round was making things more complicated, rendering most of the duellists unable to see that well. Aida seemed to be immune to that as she aimed her wand towards Ileen. However, it seemed like her wand had other plans, as it refused to cast the spell in the direction of the Slytherin girl, and instead the spell flew towards Damion, that successfully managed to avoid the Incendio Duo, just as the flames from the previous Incendio went off, dealing a last -60HP damage.
Alexander and Ileen in the meantime seemed ready to jump out of the way of any spell that might have been directed towards them, even if in the end no spell flew in their direction. Damion had decided to cast the smokescreen spell once again, just as the previous Fumos started to wear off; this time the smoke was much thicker, and it would take a longer time for it to properly go away.

Ileen caught only a glimpse at Alexander before the dark smoke blocked her vision. She could still see his silhouette but it was too dark to make out facial expressions.
The thoughts in her mind chased each other as she gripped her chestnut wand tighter. The familiar wood in her hand calmed her down and she bit her lower lip, forcing herself to inhale slowly. Not too deep though. The smoke was everywhere.
One thing was clear to the young Slytherin: Like this she had just to randomly aim into the dark, hoping she would hit one of the Ravenclaws. But she knew her chances were little and she was way too concerned to hit Alexander by accident to actually follow that approach.
Looking back at her dueling partner she tried to come up with a plan - something useful she could do. Although the frustration she had felt the last time started rising in her, she didn’t allow her emotions to influence her judgment.
When she spotted Alexander’s silhouette it had been just the right moment. She saw him changing his position. Was he prepared to dodge?
Unlike Alexander she knew a lot about her very close pale friend but didn’t know about her blind-vision skills. However, she followed his lead, trusting his approach. But nothing happened. Only that the smoke got much thicker and darker.
Ileen gritted her teeth and squinted her eyes to make out one of her opponents. She wouldn’t allow smoke to defeat her. Hopefully, Alexander was with her.

Damion was happy that he had survived this long. He was wanting to see this to the end. He wanted to win this and be able to help his team out in any way possible. He was hoping that he would not be unconscious. He wanted to win this duel and tell his friend all about it. He was hoping that Dylan would be very proud of him.

Group C: Ravenclaw vs Slytherin
Aida didn’t know what it was about Damion, perhaps his loveliness even in the dark, but it seemed that everyone’s spells were hell-bent on diverting his way, including Aida’s. Through the dark of the smokescreen he wouldn’t have seen her look of shock, but he would have heard a curt hiss come from his partner’s direction. Yet, somehow, Damion dodged out of the way. Did he know, despite the darkness, that Aida had been the one to chuck that spell at him? She would apologize later, but for now she had to make sure to concentrate better. She should be fine, even in this smoke. Maybe it was just nerves. Pointing her head back over at Alexander and Ileen, Aida nodded. It must be that inwardly she had an aversion to hurting her friends. She didn’t want to hurt Damion either, of course, but what else could explain such poor aim on her part? Throwing her hair back over her shoulder, Aida hoped that Damion knew that she wanted him to win despite her error.

Group C: Ravenclaw vs Slytherin
This had been an unepxected round to say the least. They had expected to be targetted two times by the Ravenclaws, yet the smoke cloud only got thickerand he saw a blast of fire going from Aida to her partner. He was surprised, had it been intentional ? He certainly did not expect so but the whole situation was confusing and he could not be sure. In any case, they would simply have to push on. Their tactic this round had not paid of, but there were still more than enough chances. And this was quite an even match.
Truly the outcome of this duel was still in the balance, and could go either way depending on the whims of fate. They had been lucky till now, but there was anything but certainty that this current bout of good luck could continue.
But in the end, he knew this was going to be a good match. Wheter it ended in victory or defeat, it truly was an even fight.

The thick smoke was surrounding the four duellists, and Lydia hoped that they wouldn't get too lost in the dark that they would accidentally hurt their partner. As she carefully watched over the duel, she saw that all four duellists had decided to cast spells. Aida and Damion both targeted Ileen, the girl with Incendio Duo, while the boy had chosen Flipendo this time. Luckily for the Slytherin girl, her quick feet helped her escape from being set aflame and being hit by the knockback jinx in the same round.
Alexander had decided to try and hit Aida with the same spell that the girl had chosen in this round. His spell successfully flew from his wand, this time actually directed towards her; however, the smoke was so thick that even if Aida had not been particularly fast, she still managed to evade the spell thanks to Alexander's bad aim. Ileen, after she managed to evade the spell directed at her, pointed her wanted in the direction of the smoke and successfully cast the wind jinx.
The effect was immediate, and soon the smoke completely cleared from the platform. All the duellists were now able to see each other again.

Ileen squinted her eyes and tried to make out her opponents. She couldn’t see anything and there had been no attack last time she had been ready to dodge. She tried to listen, wondering if she could hear the voices of the Ravenclaws to get at least a clue about what they were up to.
She was just about to risk it and cast a spell by herself, as she heard two incantations, first two from further away, then one right next to her.
Just in time she saw the spells flying her way, quickly sidestepping to avoid them. Uh hu. The game was on now. She wondered if both had aimed for her or just in the general direction of the two Slytherins. She couldn’t tell. But it didn’t make any difference either way.
The young girl gritted her teeth and raised her wand, full of determination. She was frustrated. She didn’t know what was going on, she couldn’t see if Alexander hit or was hit. “I am so done with this.” It was more a hiss than a spoken sentence.
She would remove this smoke now! Yes! “Alexander, get ready!” She was well aware that there was no need to tell her partner to get ready. It was more a life sign since she was not able to see him anymore.
Well, now it was time to use her knowledge. The eagerness to learn harder spells would finally pay off. Hopefully… “Ventus!”
And just like this, she sent a strong wind towards the dark smoke to remove it from the stage. A mixture of joy and relief washed over her, followed by mild triumph when the dark smoke actually dissipated and the four students could finally see each other face to face again. An amused grin flitted across her face and her eyes sparkled with pride. "Oh, there you are!" Her voice was delighted and joking, but then the smile slipped from her face again and she forced herself to focus. Nothing had been won yet. She had only ensured that things were clear.
Her dark eyes darted to Alexander. He looked unharmed. Aida, too, looked as if she hadn't been scratched yet. Only Damion looked a bit scorched.

Group C: Ravenclaw vs Slytherin
It was hard to see anything through the dense fog, it obscured nearly everything. If he hadn't known where each person was in the make beforehand he would not even have known who's who. But he did, and he knew that the person left to him was his friend Aida. Who he had to burn in order to get out of the fight as soon as possible. Which would be easier if this smoke wasn't obscuring everything !
He saw the shape move and shouted "INCENDIO DUO !" and a burst of fire came out of it. Only to just shoot past the target he had been hoping for. Inside Alexander cursed a little, the smoke was messing with his depth perception.
But he had to push on, something which was made abundantly clear with a blast of fire going past him, roughly where he knew Ileen was. Whilst moments later what he thought was the shape of a Flipendo flew past as well. Then the familiar voice of his partner called out 'Alexander, get ready!' and he instinctively knew what was to come next.
Thus he prepared himself for what was to come next. Thus when he saw the smoke clear, seeing his best friend opposite of him as well as the unfamiliar dark haired Gryffindor. Whilst a quick glance showed him that his duelling partner was still standing there, unscatched.
Thus with this relief, he sprang into action.
