Erm, hi, quill pal.
Hi there quill pal,
I feel sorta mad, writing this letter to you. It feels like I’m writing to nobody because your a stranger and all, but I guess we’ll get to know each other a bit eventually, right?
For starters, I’m a Gryffindor, and a first year. My favorite subjects consist of potions and herbology, but my overall favorite thing to do at Hogwarts so far is just read in library. I mean, so much to read and see! This building is pretty much a piece of living history itself, and everything about it fascinates me, from the crevices in the walls to the secret rooms around each corner.
Anyways, I hope you get this letter at um some point and tell me a bit about yourself when you do!

Hello Quill Pal,
I also feel mad writing like this, but we signed up for it so...we must pay the price, I suppose. I will try to write a little bit about myself in this letter, since it must feel terribly awkward to write to somebody you don't even know the name of~ I am Violet Carrington, first year, Slytherin. My favourite subjects are Potions and Defense Against the Dark Arts. I also love going to the library and I go to the grounds after class to look at the Great Lake once and a while.
Hogwarts is a mystery. I like to adventure through it sometimes, especially since I love to talk to the portraits or just watch them, ask them questions, and overall enjoy myself with both the subject that I couldn't enjoy at home such as spells and, you know, other things.
I was thinking about applying for a sport~ duelling or Quiddich, but I'm not sure which one to take! I like both, but I'm pretty sure that I will get dumped into waitlist if I apply to either of them. Especially since I am a first year and I don't have much experience at anything, including spells. Do you think I should wait a bit, maybe? I would love to hear what you think.

Erm, hi, quill pal.
Hi Violet! That’s a really pretty name! The flowers are very pretty as well! And about the dueling and quidditch dilemma, I would totally go for it! Even if you get waitlisted, that gives you time to practice your skills more, so when you do make it, you’ll be a pro and rock the team. I’m sure that both the Slytherin Quidditch and Dueling teams would be happy to have you if you ever do end up joining.
Also, er, sorry I forgot to actually tell you my name, in fact, I don’t even know how in the world I forgot, but I’m Tory Williamson. I signed the last letter “TJW” because those are my initials. It also feels quite strange that I’m owling somebody in Hogwarts as well- I mean, it’s such a big school so it makes sense, but still, it’s strange owling somebody that I’ve probably had all my potions classes with and just never noticed.
Do you enjoy watching Quidditch or Dueling more?

I'm sorry for this super late response, I was busy with school and homework, so I didn't have time to reply to any owls sent to me at all. Meanwhile, I haven't abandoned you, don't worry.
I applied for quiddich, and am in the waitlist, but if any of the current chasers drop off their position, I'm pretty sure I'll take it I'm not sure if that is going to be anytime soon thought. Both of them are really really dedicated players...
Tory is such a pretty and unique name! I haven't ever heard about it, but its really pretty ooooh.
I enjoy both, to be honest. Learning new spells is SO cool, but flying on a broom is great as well. Do you have any preference too?

Erm, hi, quill pal.
It's fine, I find myself drowning in my school work sometimes, too. The only reason I'm responding so fast is because I have to check the owlery twice a day for my mothers letters and respond or else she'll walk all the way here from England to make sure I'm not dead. She's a bit oveprotective, what can I say
That's cool, I would apply to, but I can't really see myself in any of the positions. I'd much more like to just watch it and read about it. Sorry about the chasers...Maybe one of them will get horribly injured at 3:14 AM because somebody stabbed them so you have to take their position
I don't have a preference, but I must say that I enjoy watching Quidditch more. To me it's way more exhillirating and entertaining. Oh, by the way, I don't know about you, but I am so excited for the Ravenclaw vs. Slytherin match on May 1st. It'll decide to goes to the summer rounds. I'll be rooting for Slytherin all the way, as I have bad experiences with Ravenclaws, plus, I have way more Slytherin blood in me. I hope to see you across the pitch in the Slytherin stands somewhere.
