Noah didn't quite recover from his panic for a few seconds, even after he backed off. The rush that it had put him in was unbelievable, and now that he had the time, he could recall when he had felt this before. More importantly, he could now understand what "feeling powerless because of magic" meant. He was beginning to realize he wasn't one to speak so highly of 'getting better at it" considering how abysmal he was at magic. It also filled him with a bit of dread, what would he have done if Flash actually was serious? He didn't want to think about it right now, but it kept nagging him.

He wasn't particularly paying attention to the other guy, yet again. But when he turned around to leave, Noah couldn't help but feel extremely offended. After all of that he just walks off? Like... Noah wasn't sure if this was normal behaviour but it certainly wasn't something he was fond of, you can't just... walk off like that. Not after what he had done.

"No, wait, you can't just go away. You literally just..." Just scared him to death? Just made him feel like running away crying? He wasn't quite sure how to frame it and stayed quiet for a few seconds before continuing again, "I mean, you can't just do something like that and casually walk away like that..."

He also wasn't sure what exactly he meant at that moment, what more did he even want to hear from him? An apology? More advice? He wasn't sure but he just didn't like the idea of him just... walking away after that. It just felt very... incomplete? It just wasn't right. He had to... get even or something.

Flash stopped, though he did not turn around right away. He didn't want Noah to see the face he was making, one of callous revulsion. Logically, he had no issues with him, and in fact had been trying to get better at this base reaction that boiled up within him. Like with Ross, people who were just living their lives normally, who had no idea how lucky they were to not be in his position. People who could just skate by and not have to worry about all the eyes on them, about what to do if they woke up one day with their wand gone and their hands bound.

And here he was, insisting that he knew what Flash could and couldn't do. He didn't even have the faintest idea of what Flash was capable of, yet he thought it was wise to continue to poke a stick at the snake. He wanted to strike. He wanted him to know his pain, if only a fraction of it. He had faced far greater temptation than Noah's though, and faced enough consequences of his actions to be swayed from facing more. He would have liked to see Noah eat his words, but in the end, it would be Flash who would pay the price. It always was.

"I can't? Or else what?" Flash voice had grown deep and griping. "You'll hurt me?"

Flash did look over his shoulder, curious to see whether his response would elicit any kind of reaction that he should look out for. He didn't trust anyone he didn't know, even the ones that appeared like completely incompetent spellcasters. If Noah wasn't actively attacking, he'd finish the short distance out the door.

A strange sense of fear filled Noah up as he stared at Flash standing there still for a few seconds. He had no idea what he was thinking but Noah knew he had made a mistake. Right after realising he was horribly weak in comparison to the person in front of him, the last thing he should have done was potentially make the person feel angrier. Of course that wasn't his intention at all, he didn't want to make things worse but he didn't realise that's exactly how what he said sounded, it was an error he was regretting deeply.

The fear wasn't as bad the one he had felt a few moments ago, or a few minutes before that. It was more anxiety than fear, he wasn't going to be harmed, he knew that much, but what made it worse was that he couldn't say what was going on in the other persons head. Why did he do what he did? What was he thinking? Did he hate Noah? Had Noah accidentally made himself an enemy? He didn't want that to be the case but the words that he said next definitely did not help his discomfort.

Of course, Noah was not at all ready to fight, even if he was he would be lying on the floor in about a second, at best. No, Noah might not have known much about the world outside of academics and books but even he knew when he should shut up. He wanted to say something, persuade the other person to stay. Why? He wasn't sure. He felt like he could learn a thing or two from him. He was actually worried about what would have happened if this was a real situation, what would he do? He wasn't sure. And that scared him. But he had no way of negotiating this. Especially when they had already started walking away when he didn't do anything for a few seconds.

The sound of a door closing, a relieved yet annoyed sigh following right after it. He wasn't happy. He was scared, terrified really. The threat leaving certainly made him feel a bit more at ease but he now had so much more on his mind than he did a mere few minutes ago as he was happily going about with his day, no pink hair, no person pointing his want at him or borderline scolding him. It was terrifying to him and he just wanted to go back to his dorm and go to sleep or something but he had an entire day ahead of him. Taking a deep breath and trying not to think about what had happened for the time being, Noah finally stepped out from what had to be the most eventful time he had had in a bathroom.
