Alternative Title : Venting through forcefully making strangers offer their head as a live mannequin because jealousy is hard to deal with
It was not long before he had an interesting interaction with Miss Adlai Rod. The interesting thing about it was not the conversations themselves, nor the events that transpired during that meeting. Those had their own value to it, but the most astonishing thing was that he technically wasn’t there- during that interaction. In fact, to Adlai Rod, the only Hanako Tone she knew was the one that jumped on Cassandra Ironwoods for the hell of it during a party between Parselmouths. That was the idea of Hanako Tone in her eyes. But the person who she had an interesting encounter with was Papa MacaroOni, also known as Mac. The Slytherin boy wore a Paper Bag over his head to help his insecurities and social awkwardness. That’s right, folks. The Hanako Tone was also Papa MacaroOni. No, that wasn’t the most astonishing part. It was that Adlai hadn't figured that out yet. And Mac/Hana never planned on informing her anytime soon. He treasured the feeling of not being himself to let that go. And the more he interacted with the Hufflepuff, the more he felt that Mac and Hana were simply two different people sharing a body. Not that he was saying he had Multiple Personality Disorder of course. But it was like- once he wore Paper Bag Chan, he dropped that 40kg+ luggage of emotional baggage and ran. R a N.
But that also meant Mac didn’t have the same priorities as Hanako. The same goes for interests, pet peeves. Everything had to be different to preserve the freedom he felt under that Paper Bag. That meant everything he was pushing down when he was Mac had resurfaced the second he became Hanako again.
“ G OD D A M NIT HOLM W O O D !!!” a tiny paper-bag-less Slytherin boy yelled frustrated beyond belief. On a bright sunny day on the grounds, the boy was seen under a particular tea and angrily weaving flower stems around one another in a continuous loop. It didn’t take two brain cells to know this boy was not to be messed with at the moment. And him being in the middle of making what seems to be a flower crown did nothing to cease the imaginary blaze in his aura.
During that talk, his Adlai- er - Miss Adlai kept yapping about how sooooooo greattttttt Flash Holmwood was. How he needed help and was ready to help others. Well- actually, there weren’t many good things she said about him apart from that but it still bothered the boy. How did Holmwood even slither himself into the conversation? What did he do to even impact Rod to have her make such a sad look just thinking about him? As he let out another agitated groan, he angrily scanned his surroundings. While he was a simple boy who could not digest his emotions properly, he had to push it onto others when needed. And right now, he needed a really nice mannequin head. Lucky him, he found the perfect victim.
“ OI YOU!” he screamed at the figure whose existence he didn’t even know was relevent until now. “ YEAH YOU WITH THE NICE HEAD. GET OVER HERE AND GIVE ME YOUR HEAD!”. Of course, he was quickly aware that the stranger would most likely not respond to such an aggressive tone. Especially one where they asked for their head. So he opted for a softer one. “ PRETTY PLEASE WITH SUGAR ON TOP!” It was still a bit loud. And it wasn’t kind enough to be a question. But it had the word ' please' in it.
OCC NoteReducioPlease keep these in mind before rp-ing back:

The Gryffindor first year girl that was Tory Williamson was just being simple and quiet. Slumped against the stone castle wall of Hogwarts, thinking. Actually, not thinking, more like staring blankly out at the Great Lake with her mind empty. Much to her dismay, she had seemed to completely and utterly run out of thoughts to think.
It was an especially chilly March day in the Scottish mountains, and Tory, seeing as barely anybody was outside due to this, had made her way to clear her mind. More like stare mindlessly at a calm lake for half an hour straight, but eh, whatever. The air was crisp and cool, and she enjoyed sitting there, watching the water closely as if the giant squid were about to splash right out of it and onto the shore.
“OI YOU!” She heard somebody shout, but paid no mind to them, just assuming they were talking to somebody past her in the distance. “YEAH YOU WITH THE NICE HEAD. GET OVER HERE AND GIVE ME YOUR HEAD!” Tory whipped her head to where the loud voice was coming from far off, glaring at them. Nice head? I mean, she thought she had good cheekbones, but Tory didn’t believe she had a ‘nice head’.
She thought about opting out from this maniac and whatever they wanted her head for and just (sprinting) back to the castle, but then, “PRETTY PLEASE WITH SUGAR ON TOP!” Was heard. She inched her way closer to the person, yet refused to get within 50 feet of them (what if it was a murderer or something, ya know?) “UH, ME?” She yelled right back, then added with concern, “WHY IN MERLINS BEARD WOULD YOU WANT MY HEAD?”

What did she mean by ‘ why?’. Why was she questioning the sanity of a screaming 12-year-old and their highly suspicious command? She should’ve known better even if her existence was not relevant if not for her head. Even as a 2nd year, did he look too cute and adorable for his commands to be taken seriously? Perhaps so. But that alone would not be enough to stop the boy from being tempted to immobilize her right there. The powers of a 2nd Year are not to be trifled with. He learned that first hand. Then again, he was unsure of Pretty Head’s year and she may very well be a 3rd year for all he knew. Even from far away, he knew she had already towered him in terms of height. Then again, who didn’t? If only it weren’t for their public area, immobilizing her would’ve saved him time and his hearing abilities. But that was not the case and there were too many people watching.
But that didn’t matter. He was not some brash foolish 1st year he once was. He had grown through trial and error, a lot of therapy, and classes on Basic Human Behavior ™. If there was a future where he could get what he wanted without completely making another person hate him, then his therapist would be proud. Although he might have needed a bit more work when he only wanted to use Pretty Head’s head, but his therapist didn’t need to know that particular detail. Now, what was it that was mentioned in Basic Human Behavior class? Complimenting them, was it?
“ BECAUSE YOU HAVE A NICE HEAD!! IT’S SUPER PRETTY! SUUPPPERRR!!” he yelled back to Pretty Head that kept a safe distance from him. Understandingly.
But she was still too far away, there was no way complimenting would be enough. Hanako was deep in thought for a second, recalling his classes. Explain the situation calmly and help them understand his intentions?
“ I WANT TO USE YOUR HEAD FOR MY OWN PURPOSES!” he pointed to the half-done flower crown. Yes, that was more understanding than ‘ I want to use your head so I can vent to a stranger about something that has been bothering me without considering your feelings at all'. That was certainly a mouthful. What was not apparent to the boy was that his brain could be simplified like this:
85%=flash Holmwood sucks
10%=cats are the devils ready to haunt his reality
5%=logic
Whether Pretty Head ever agreed to let her head be used by him for his own purposes was up to her, but Hanako was not done yet. The distance between the two suddenly gave him a rush of anxiety. He already had so much anger and frustration just waiting to be burst open that having such a nice head leave as well as making him nervous. Who else had a better head than her at the moment? He had no time to find another nice head! He was desperate!
“ I’LL PAY YOU!!” He almost pleaded, giving into his deep-rooted habits of getting away with anything by offering material things. Or in short term, ' bribery'. His therapist would be disappointed.“ I’LL GIVE YOU MACAROONS! TONS OF MACARONS! JUST LET ME BORROW YOUR HEAD I CAN’T TAKE IT ANYMORE!” he was really losing his mind at this point. When has his bribery of macaroons ever worked? It was definitely not his first time and they have only given him disappointing results. He only had one goal and that was to finish this blasted flower crown in peace and he was ready to give anything to finish it. So be it if he had to act like a brash foolish 1st year. The flower crown was his only salvation to his stomach-turning emotions and he couldn’t stop it here.
I'm happy all my requirements were met. Thank you, Pretty Head@Tory Williamson

“BECAUSE YOU HAVE A NICE HEAD!! IT’S SUPER PRETTY! SUUPPPERRR!!” This caught Tory a bit off guard- she hadn’t ever been complimented on her head of all things before. She finally mustered a “THANKS?” Back to the figure - looked like a boy as far as she could tell, but she couldn’t tell if he was older or younger. Complimenting her did in fact do some good on the head dude’s end, at least she knew he wasn’t an entire lunatic now, right?
“I WANT TO USE YOUR HEAD FOR MY OWN PURPOSES!” The Gryffindor girl’s eyes widened to the size of an animated cartoon character’s. She didn’t say anything but kept thinking about ‘own purposes’ meant. Chopping it off and using it as a mannequin head? Or was he being metaphorically? It was a bit hard to tell.
“I’LL PAY YOU!!” The boy finally shout out, and Tory got snapped out of her train of thoughts. She began to think, In what? Real money or- “I’LL GIVE YOU MACAROONS! TONS OF MACARONS! JUST LET ME BORROW YOUR HEAD I CAN’T TAKE IT ANYMORE!” Her questions were answered.
And right there, right then, Tory decided that this mysterious head dude needed something. He needed help, or to rant, or just...something. Tory Jane Williamson was not the king of person to to leave a single soul in distress, physically or mentally, and so, with a mighty sigh, she scuttled her way closer to the boy, close enough to see he had an Asian face with shaggy brown hair. He was also a noticeable Slytherin.
He was also holding a messy, half-done flower crown of some sorts. “What can I say, I gave in at your macaroon offer.” Tory said to lighten the mood a bit, a small smile about her face. “How can my apparently nice head be of your assistance?”

“What can I say, I gave in at your macaroon offer.” Tory said to lighten the mood a bit, a small smile on her face. “How can my apparently nice head be of your assistance?”
Hanako was a fan of ‘faking it till you made it. Other than English and Parselmouth, he had to say dumb bluff was another language he was proficient in. But when the Pretty Head started walking towards him, and not to punch his face appeared. But a punch in the face from her would’ve been more believable than what she said. He sat there for a moment as his brain buffered his unfamiliar situation.
“ Holly shirt it actually worked?” Was this what his alternate universe self felt when his bribery of macaroons actually worked? Although slightly embarrassed he had to beg for it, he wanted to express his joy from someone realizing his power of macaroons and their value but he had other pressing matters to think about. “I need to sort out my turbulent emotions through the weaving of this flower crown. “ he explained, his soft voice slightly tingly from his earlier screaming. “ And you’re the only head that’s good enough for something like this. Basically, be my head mannequin. Just until I finish this up. Then you can go back to doing...whatever it is you do”
It occurred to the boy that his voluntary mannequin is literally a stranger. He had never seen her before. There wasn’t much that stood out to the boy other than her being a Gryffindor. And all Gryffindors left a bad taste in his mouth. All of them. At the thought of his cat-loving dorky Gryffindors, he asked her a question with utmost seriousness. “ You don’t have a c- ca-caa-” cursed words are hard to say. “ c- cee aye tee… are you living with any cee aye tee’s or something? “ It was a very interview-like question. As if he wasn’t the one begging for her head earlier. He didn’t know much about his mannequin and he didn’t care enough to know but knowing if she lived with any cats was an important matter. “ And don’t you lie. I can tell if you do” to be fair, his sneezing would tell if she was lying or not. And if she chose to lie, he didn’t have enough empathy to feel bad if he were to accidentally sneeze on her hair multiple times.

“Holly shirt it actually worked?” Not the response Tory was expecting to her walking over, but she didn’t really mind. Now to find out what this really was about. She didn’t even know yet, which probably wasn’t the best sign in the world. “I need to sort out my turbulent emotions through the weaving of this flower crown.” It seemed as though Head Boy had read her mind as he said this. He also actually had quite the soft, quiet voice when he wasn’t shouting halfway across the grounds.
“And you’re the only head that’s good enough for something like this. Basically, be my head mannequin. Just until I finish this up. Then you can go back to doing...whatever it is you do” He continued to explain, and the Gryffindor nodded. Boy, this utterly boring day was turning out to be more eventful than Tory had thought. “Ok then.” She said calmly. “I can be your head mannequin head.” She had never been a head mannequin before.
“You don’t have a c- ca-caa-” Head Dude went on, and Tory furrowed her eyebrows. What was Head Dude tryin’ to say? “c- cee aye tee… are you living with any cee aye tee’s or something?” Cee-aye-tee’s? What were those? The Gryffindor cocked her head to the side like a confused cat, and then it clicked. Cats. Why did he want to know if she lived with any cats?
“And don’t you lie. I can tell if you do” What in the world-? Scratch just more eventful, this day was more strange and more eventful than she had planned. Whatever, she liked strange. “Er-well yeah, I guess,” She did live with a cat back at home if that was what he was asking, Jammy the Black. But she had stayed home for Easter break, and hadn’t seen Jammy in...how many months now? Since winter break.
“But I haven’t seen him since December so you really don’t gotta worry if your allergic or something.” She plopped herself onto to the ground, thinking back to what he had said. Turbulent emotions. With a deep breath, she changed the topic to why she was here. I mean, she knew it was to be a ‘head mannequin’, but was that the real reason? She thought not. There was something deeper.
“Spill the beans, Head Dude.”

When she mentioned she is an associate of those evil feral creatures, Hanako spared no hesitance in giving her the same look he gave a mouldy cheese. His features softened only when she mentioned she hasn’t been in cahoots with the tiny devils since December. “ I’m usually both allergic to both cee-ay-tee’s and cee-ay-tea owners. But as I’m in a hurry, I suppose I will grant you the privilege of being in my space. For now.” Before he could say anything more, she had already sat near him, ready to fulfill her underpaid duties as a head mannequin. Not that he minded, it only surprised him for a second. Being a living head mannequin on the first day and knowing what she needed to do... he was grateful for her decisiveness. Had she done this before? He wondered but said nothing as he placed the un-finished flower crown on her head. He was then reminded of the time he used Rainwood’s head for the same purpose as well. What a useless memory to have.
Just as he thought awkward silence would ensue between them, she boldly spoke up about what he was troubled with. “ ‘Spill the beans’ you say?” he repeated, questioningly as he worked on the flower crown on her head. “ Last time I checked, head mannequins don’t usually ask questions like that. Nor do they ask questions at all” While his tone was slightly cold, it was nowhere near malice. As the sharp words left his mouths, he felt guilt creep into his gut. An automatic defense activated whenever anyone asked about how he was feeling. It didn’t help that it was clear to both of them that he indeed had beans to spill. Enough to force someone else to spend their precious time letting him borrow their head. Surely, he would have to be a naive idiot to think Pretty Head only came just for his offer of macaroons. His therapy sessions had taught him that not everyone can be bought by materialistic things alone. How high are the chances that Pretty Head came here with other intentions other than his macaroons? She could see him as pitiful for all he knew. Maybe she found it hard to turn away a student dramatically begging for her head. Perhaps she was captivated by his adorable looks.
In the end, she was an odd stranger with a nice head that chose not to ignore him. For reasons, he may not know anytime soon. He desperately wanted to ignore her presence but he felt like heavy baggage on his mind. Before he was sure weaving flower crowns would’ve lightened the load, yet he couldn’t deny that compared to the chance to verbally speak out his worries, just a flower crown wouldn’t be enough. And she’s a stranger as well! He didn’t even know her name for god sake! After his long mental debate, he gave out a long sigh. “ Are you positive you’d like to be a talking head mannequin instead of a silent one? My vent may bore you to death. How can a chat with me possibly make your day better than it is now? Because let me tell you, it usually doesn’t. Based on my experience with many of my peers. I can guarantee you a happier self if you chose the later option ” he warned casually, making sure it didn’t sound like he was purposely bringing himself down. It was only the blunt truth and there was no need to beat around the bush about it.

Tory was a Gryffindor, a first year, and a girl, and definetly not moldy cheese, but Head Dude was still looking at her like she was. Eh, whatever. If he thought both 'cee-ay-tea's' and 'cee-ay-tea' owners to be devils, then so be it. At least I'm helping somebody, right? Tory thought to herself as Head Dude placed the flower crown upon her head and she smiled softly.
“ ‘Spill the beans’ you say?” Head dude repeated after what Tory had said before in a questioning tone as he worked on the flower crown sitting on her head. “Last time I checked, head mannequins don’t usually ask questions like that. Nor do they ask questions at all” The Gryffindor just shrugged. "Well sorry," Her apology wasn't sincere at all and it was obvious with the voice she used. She continued in her normal voice, "If you couldn't tell, this job doesn't really come with a manual or anything, so I'm just trying my best."
As far as Tory could tell, this stranger was utterly confusing. In fact, he seemed himself to be utterly confused about his emotions, or so that's what Tory believed. She could read people like books, it was sorta her thing, and to her, this snakey Slytherin was clearly having trouble mapping out what the hell was going on with his own emotions. Not that Tory could relate very much, she always liked knowing what was coming ahead and when, as she was a woman of consitency, she was, but she could at least try to understand a little bit.
Hearing Head Dude sigh loud and long, Tory snapped out of her thoughts and back into the moment. “ Are you positive you’d like to be a talking head mannequin instead of a silent one? My vent may bore you to death. How can a chat with me possibly make your day better than it is now? Because let me tell you, it usually doesn’t. Based on my experience with many of my peers. I can guarantee you a happier self if you chose the later option ” Tory chuckled quite quietly, turning her head back to Head Dude. "I'll be silent and listen then, because what else am I here for? I'll only share my opinion when necessary, if that's alright." She replied coolly.
"Now, stop trying to avoid your feelings because we all know it's only gonna get worse if you keep walking around the issue instead of actually attempting to solve it. The heaps of beans that you have must be spilled at some point, whether your willing or not." The first year said plainly. If he wanted her to be a head mannequin, she would be the best head mannequin to every roam the earth.

To his surprise, she did not take his prior warning as seriously as she should. In addition to that, she started spewing up words like she knew him more than he knew himself. The first time they saw their faces was like what? 10 minutes ago? And she was already talking like she knew how his brain worked? While her assumptions were definitely spot-on, it annoyed the boy anyway. He was, in some ways, trying to improve his deep-rooted habit of ignoring his feelings. It was only until summer last year did he see a major flaw in his mindset. But like a lump of tangled yarn, his habit clearly still had a long way to go before he could completely untangle it. He doubted that spilling the beans to an utter stranger just because she seemed more emotionally mature than he was, was going to solve anything.
Then again, it was that same thing that happened before- last summer, that made him a better person today. Her words did make him realize he once again, is letting his undigested emotions fester. As much as it pains him to admit to himself. “ Trust me, lady. This was a great step from what I used to do when this happens. I’m surprised how you’re allowing yourself to lend an ear to a troubled stranger. Do you always wander around here in hopes that a stranger would scream for your head? What an odd, Pretty Head. Now don’t look behind or you’ll interfere with my craft” he lightly scolded with a faint hint of a smile on his face.
While the day started out with crazy swirls of emotions, he appreciated many things about Pretty Head. She did not force him to share his troubles and didn’t give the energy of a tea (drama) crazed maniac that only wanted to suck the good gossip from him so she could spread it everywhere else. Oddly, he felt like she didn’t care enough to share whatever he might tell. And that was great. “Well, since you offered, I might as well make your time here worth it. I’m taking out several macaroons you should’ve gotten, though. Hannah Tone sharing his emotions is worth quite a bit” He prided “ Now then.. Where to start….” his cheeky voice began to take a serious tone as he became quieter as if he was deep in thought. “ Hmm..to be honest, I don’t think I should be upset. I only saw someone who I thought was.. slightly interesting, frolic and dance with some snotty rich bastard. Honestly, I don’t… I don’t understand why it pissed me off so much. I hate the guy. I just didn’t like seeing him all so happy, that’s all.” he ended his rant like that but deep-down he knew exactly why he might be feeling this way. It wasn’t the first time it happened anyway. But he was convincing himself that it was something else. Perhaps his emotions that day were only affected by previous events, although none came to mind enough to make him this upset. He could pass it off as a fleeting obsession, but was there really all there is?
“ A-anyway, that’s it. Not a lot of beans to spill huh? I bet the weather just affected my mood. I'll get over it soon enough” he joked, regret starting to bubble up in his stomach.

She stayed quiet for a good 5 minutes after Head Dude - his name was Hannah, apparently, but Head Dude sounded better so she was going to keep calling him that - spoke. She picked some grass out of the ground firmly, fiddling with it in her fingers and ripping it into shredds. The poor, innocent grass. Too bad. She picked a small, weak, wimpy looking daisy from the ground next and gave it an even harsher treatment. The stem was barely reckognizable, ripped into fourths, and the pedals scattered across the ground sadly. "You" Began Tory, looking down, away from Head Dude, at the broken, almost depressing looking flower, "have every right to be upset."
That was all she said, but her tone was so strong and loud sounding, it made it seem like she had just given a 3-hour-long speech of advice and wisdom. "If I liked somebody, I wouldn't really enjoy seeing them be friendly and hangout with somebody I hate from the bottom of my very guts, either." No, this hadn't happened to her before, but the thought of one of her bestfriends hanging out with that rude little snotty biatch that was Gabriella Haworth1. Oh, the screaming Tory would do if she saw that. She could practically feel anger boiling through her skin as she gripped more flowers from the ground, squeezing them so hard they would have suffocated and their necks would have burst open if they were people.
"A-anyway, that’s it. Not a lot of beans to spill huh? I bet the weather just affected my mood. I'll get over it soon enough" Tory glared at him with sympathy that he didn't know how to deal with this. She could agree with the weather affecting mood thing. All winter she had felt horrible, she was ill, stressed with piles of school work, was always suffering, and all because it was constantly freezing outside.
More silence filled the air for a few mintues before Tory spoke again. This time with a much more gentle tone, "I think you should confront them. I mean, If your upset, then say so. They'll never understand your feelings if you keep venting to strangers about them instead." She closed her mouth and clenched her teeth so hard, her mouth was pretty much glued together. Your not supposed to talk, idiot! She scolded herself, your opinion was not needed then yet you shared it anyways! She looked away from Head Dude, away from this.
"Sorry, I'll be quiet now..." She mumbled, picking more grass to rip to its doom.
