IC Information: Celeste is quite possibly one of the oddest girls in Hogwarts. Despite a perfect understanding of how social conventions work, she does not understand why they are that way and chooses to ignore most of them, living life her own way. Which is all very well and good in theory, but she has virtually no friends. She's perpetually calm, well-meaning but terrible at expressing it, and very mature for her age.
IC-Interests: Stargazing, reading, playing board games, keeping her weather journal, and collecting pebbles.
OOC-Interests: I like to read, watch Chinese variety shows with my mum, and roleplay.

My quill pal hasn't replied in a while, and when I checked, her name was replaced with 'Ancien Sorcier' (something like that), and she just disappeared? So here I am.

IC Information: Ana presents herself to be noticeably outspoken, sporadic, and ever-charming in her interactions with people. Stimulated by intelligent and educational discussion, she also possesses a reckless nature. More often than not, however, she will more than happily carry an endearing and kind tone, consistently knowing what to say and how to act to appease another. In other moments, she will be entirely unequivocal in communicating her thoughts and will refrain from any type of saccharine speech. She appears to be ethical and calm in the face of chaos, but emotionally stagnant in other situations.

IC or OOC Information: Asterin is an inquisitive and energetic child that loves to make new friends and experience new situations, whatever they might be. She can come of as very happy-go-lucky and that is not far from the truth. She does, however, have a tendency to stick her nose in business that is not hers because she is so curious by nature.
IC-Interests: Solving ANY type of mystery/logical conundrum, making new friends, learning new things, playing sports and other games (especially gobstones!), climbing trees, doing gymnastics.
OOC-Interests: At the present moment, most of my hobbies revolve around either writing (a place like this site), playing pc games, or doing jigsaw puzzles! I have just started a 2000 piece one that is going to take me forever, but I love it so much!

i. best friend.

Hogwarts is not only a place for studying. It's a place for friendship to blossom...!

Cedrella Blythe is an introvert. The girl's hobbies include writing, reading, and hiding from people at all costs. And though her social skills need some sharpening, because she can come across as an asshole sometimes, she needs a friend that brings back the trickster deep inside her. Ideally, this person would be her character foil: exhibiting opposite or conflicting traits with Cedrella, which would make their friendship unique.

They could sit next to one another during one of their lessons (if your character is a first-year). If your character is older, they could meet at the Library, the common room (if your character is a Ravenclaw), or at the Hogwarts Express, as I have yet to write Cedrella's point of view as she get inside the train.

ii. frenemy.

And while friendship is nice and all, nothing works better than a friend/enemy/rival to get some drama going!

Again, Cedrella is somewhat of a loser, in the way she unknowingly sabotages herself into stepping out of fun activities for the sake of being left alone. She doesn't really know how to engage and doesn't really see the point in doing so. It's hard to get her mad or frustrated with anyone, so to have someone that can push her buttons would be really funny.

This character would also need to be a character foil, but in a more noticeable way, as their traits would highlight each others' strengths and weaknesses. I wouldn't want their "rivalry" to get out of hand, as they'd still respect each other. Ideally, they'd be a first-year, but a second or third-year is really good, too. (I don't really see Cedrella being rude to someone much older than her).

They could meet on a day Cedrella is in a sour mood, and they bump into each other. Or meet in the common room (if Ravenclaw), or during lessons (if first-year), or Hogwarts Express... We can discuss this further.

iii. mentor.

Ah, yes, the mentor!

While Cedrella isn't the most studious Ravenclaw there is (she definitely fits better the creative trait, rather than the smart one), she doesn't want to fail her lessons. This character needs to be a few years older than Cedrella, so she can look up to them, or, we can put a spin on this, and have Cedrella not want to be like them: if your character doesn't care for their grades or something like that.

This is vaguer than the other two ideas as it really depends on the other character. They could meet at the library or something like that.
