Laura was creeping around in the Basements exploring every part of the castle. Laura heard a very faint dripping noise and she listened and walked around to see where this strange dripping noise was coming from.
Laura still couldn't hear where the noise was coming from so again she looked around but the dripping noise became louder like a stream. Laura has no idea where this noise or what is was but Laura knew it could be dangerous so she slipped her wand out from her jumper and held it up, pointing it at wherever she heard the noise.
"TAP, TAP, TAP!" the noise kept becoming louder and then quieter Laura was becoming frustrated for not finding the source of the sound. Looking in every direction Laura didn't find the sound but she did find A History of Magic book which was wet from the water on the floor. Laura has just noticed that there was water on the floor and that it was growing deeper and deeper and deeper. Laura then noticed she must be under the Great Lake, she wasn't sure if this was true or not but wanted to know now she has notice.

Opeila had been avoiding basement and dungeons for weeks now. Alright, basement proved to be difficult as she practically lived down there, but if she wasn't in her common room or dormitory, she never spent more time than necessary in the corridors. It was not safe, she knew that. The second year hadn't planned to go down there today, but as she entered the stairs to get up to the library, she stopped. Were those... footsteps? Behind her, down the stairs in the basement?
She had been planning to go up to the library and bring back some books and then spend some time outside with her cat. It was getting warmer outside, spring was slowly turning into summer and when the sun came out, it was very nice to sit on a bench, a blanket or near the lake to read a book and get some fresh air. Loras, her little grey tabby, had also taken a liking in butterflies. He would chase them around whenever he found one, but he rarely ever caught one.
Torn Opeila stood at the bottom of the stairs to the ground floor. Should she go and check? Maybe she had been wrong. Or... maybe there was something else that was trying to lure her down. The thought made her heart beat faster. What if there was something that wanted to harm her?
And if it was a student? Most of the older students- taking away Selim and Jack, Opeila didn't think those two could surprise her with anything by now, as well as Kaegen Deathmote- wouldn't go down there without a very good reason. But what if this was a first year?
Opeila remembered herself in her first year. Back in February, moments before the spider attack, there had been a third year with blue hair, who had told the first years to go away and leave the situation to the older people. Opeila had almost felt offended by it, but now she knew that she had been right. First years, maybe even second and third years weren't prepared to defend themselves against the dangers that were waiting in the darker parts of Hogwarts.
But a lot of them were overestimating themselves.
With that, Opeila had made a choice. She drew her wand and slowly walked down the stairs. "Lumos.", she murmured, conjuring a small but bright light at the end of her wand. Loras was walking close next to her, the young girl could feel him touch her ankle the whole time. Next to the footsteps, there was another noise. Maybe water dripping from the ceiling? Possibly, the basement was always kind of humid, due to its position under the lake.
The Slytherin placed her wand on her flat hand. "Point me." She watched the wand spin until it pointed north. Good. Now she at least knew in which direction she had to go to find the stairs again.
Opeila followed the sound of the footsteps, making sure to memorize the way she walked. The basement was a maze of corridors and Opeila, having a terribly weak sense of orientation anyway, did not want to get lost down here.
Finally, she saw a little silhouette appear. A girl, a first year from the looks, was standing in the middle of the corridor, holding a book in her hands. Opeila quickly caught up. "Hey- wait!", she hissed, keeping her voice low. She quickly walked over and stood in front of the girl. "What are you doing down here? Wait- I know you." The face was vaguely familiar...
"You shouldn't be here, it's not safe. Trust me. Come on, let's go back."

Mentioning/Interacting: @Opeila Winters, @Laura Thompson Brook #666The weak beam of light danced around the musky place, sound pinging off the walls. Sound and colour, both. I'm running out of batteries. Should've brought more. *Dummkopf! Suzuki accused herself, wondering how she was going to read after hours now.
The sound of her boots tapping on the hard concrete clouded her mind with colour, and Suzuki slowed down. No need to rush. She had all the time in the world. She slowed down to a walk, her boots making no sound now.
There was a book in the pocket of her robes, and her useless wand (pity she hadn't learned Lumos yet- it would've been useful) in the other. Her almost dead flashlight was held loosely in her hand (she'd seen what it was like when she held it tightly).
Suzuki was fairly sure she wasn't supposed to be down here, but she didn't care. The girl didn't recall anything or anyone telling her to stay away from the basements. It hadn't taken her long to find the place, either- she'd gotten lost on the godforsaken staircases, and arrived at the entrance to the dungeons. Being bored of being bored, she entered.
And found herself in what very closely resembled a sewer (she'd explored a sewer before in London (with a friend, of course)- it was nasty).
Alright- it wasn't as bad a London sewer, but it wasn't a Fukuoka beach, either.
Turning another corner, she almost slammed into a girl- a second year, probably. She was talking to another girl, one around Suzuki's age. Didn't think I'd find anyone here.*Dummkopf is German for 'idiot', or 'blockhead'.

One moment Opeila had still been talking to the Hufflepuff, the next she almost got run over by another girl, also a first year by the looks. By Merlin's beard, did they all think that the basement was some sort of adventurous playground? She noticed that the girl was also carrying a flashlight, meaning that she likely didn't know Lumos or felt too insecure to use it. The dungeons were dark, shouldn't the fact that they didn't know the wand lighting charm be enough to stop them from coming down here?
Fine, the girl that almost crashed into Opeila was carrying a flashlight, she got a point for at least partly using her brain. "And why are you down here?", the Slytherin asked, unable to ban her annoyance entirely from her tone. "Both of you, please come back upstairs with me. It's dangerous down here and I'd prefer not to have to alert a prefect or professor because of another death." Her request that the two girls came back up was not optional. Either they came with her, or Opeila would alert someone who had the authority to make them. Hogwarts was her home and she would not allow it to get closed because two kids got themselves killed under her watch, simply because they apparently had no good sense of judgement.
OOC Note: As Laura left the site, I suggest that we do a quick ending for this thread.

Selina had never been down the basements before but wondered what was down there or who was down there.
"HELLO!" shouted Selina to see if anyone would reply but no one did. Selina heard voices and just noticed that there was water on the floor Selina headed to where she had heard the voices and saw a Hufflepuff, Slytherin, and Gryffindor including Selina that made all of the houses.
"Hi," said Selina smiling at them all "I'm Selina who are you?" Selina had no guarantee that they would reply but stood there hopefully looking at each of them.
"Where is all of this water coming from" asked Selina and she suddenly became serious, Selina dragged her foot out of the water and it was absolutely soaked but luckily these shoes were Selina's least favorite.
Selina looked at every corner expecting to see a hole but she saw nothing then Selina looked and thought:
"Quite mysterious down here".
It was very dark and Selina was looking at every inch of every bit of every wall they were a couple of ladders and chains on the wall and Selina wondered why they were there maybe for decoration but Selina doubted it.
"Who are you?" repeated Selina to all of them.
