@Frost Cira─────────────────────────Needless to say, Everly was highly disappointed in herself.
Everly had originally been trying to get some homework done, and the weather had finally become somewhat getting better. Adorned with a fluffy jacket, textbooks, and parchment, she sat outside along a tree, flipping through A Book of Spells, her mind focused on anything but schoolwork (which, admittedly, is not the best thing when you are trying to do homework).
Rolling her wand in between her fingers, she stared at the walnut wood, memory once again refreshed. Her last - and really, last - duel was over, and Everly could say that she was less than pleased. Sure, she wasn't really that experienced, but getting knocked out in one and forfeiting the second - wasn't exactly something she wanted to tell. The scene was engraved in her head. Everly couldn't let it go, mad at herself, her opponents, her partner. She knew it was neither of their faults, and a little voice said it was hers.
Hopefully next year would be better.
Rolling her wand in between her fingers, Everly grimaced slightly, mulling over her thoughts. Her hands were clammy and she had to grip the walnut wood wand tighter, cold reality hitting her harder than it had before. Staring upwards at the sky, she looked no different than a student drifting off in daydream.
Everly watched as a leaf floated down, narrowly missing her head, and let out a long breath.
"Flipendo," Everly spoke underneath her breath, the word almost foreign to her. Spellcasting was once effortless for her, but after only casting one spell in her first duel, and not even trying in her second, she hadn't been practicing as much.
The lion folded her legs, rocking back and forth. Maybe she just needed some more spell practice. Maybe that was it.☆
