Yep...yep, it didn't get any easier the second time round. AJ could confirm that much at least, he still felt his heart pounding in his chest as he wondered which wrong calls he could possibly make this much. How he could possibly stumble upon his words. For now, it wasn't important, what was important were the approaching duellists.
AJ didn't bother trying to quiet down the crowd this time, he knew it wouldn't work. He just go right down to announcing the Duellists. He extended his left hand toward the Ravenclaw side of the arena. "Ah wunce ageen hav' tha pleesure uf welcomin' oor contunders frem hoose Reevunclaw! Thomas Beens and Culleh Jensun!" A raucous amount of cheers came from the crowd, a few members waving scarves and banners of brilliant blue.
"Thus teem hooevur, oor Reevuns have a dufferent uppoonent teh feece." He gestured with his right to bring the Serpents onto the stage. "Pleese ulso wullcome Adonus Thorn and Opeyla Wunters!"[colour] He shouts, a different chorus of noise rising as a tide of green comes over the stands.
He takes a few steps forward to address the duelists now. "Reeght, am gonna assoom tha' yoo ull ge' tha' just uf thus bee knoo. Wunds onleh, jus' speels." He reminded them in case they needed it, and with that he stood back, and signaled the match to begin.

God, how was this even...
Opeila felt like her last duel had only been a few days ago, as she heard the boy whose name Opeila couldn't remember currently call Adonis and her onto the stage. Here they were again and Opeila could only barely bite back a whispered 'Try not to get hit'. While Adonis' ability to avoid spells didn't seem to be the best, Opeila had given him enough of an opportunity to return a snarky comment. The backfired Firemaking spell still made her face turn red in embarassment.
Instead she eyed her opponents. Callie she already knew- the sugar addict who almost murdered her with an apple. The other... unknown. Well, as long as he wasn't that much of a good duellist... Though the scoreboard suggested differently.
Opeila took a deep breath and tried to get her nervosity down a bit. No more thinking of earlier losses... clean slate.
The Slytherin would do her best to bring her team to victory.

Callie was excitable at the best of times but duelling season took things to different level. In the lead up to the day she had been borderline insufferable and hardly ever shut up about her impending match against Slytherin. Currently Thomas and Callie had proven to be a deadly duo judging by their current track record and they had no plans to concede that title anytime soon. "Hey guys!" She gave her opponents a wave coupled with a bright smile as she bounded onto the platform. "Good luck!" She added with a devilish grin as she prepared for the task at hand. She turned to Thomas and offered him a thumbs up before speaking. "Let's make this three out of three."Action: As strategised.

Group E: Ravenclaw vs Slytherin
In a rather strange departure from Thomas' normal demeanor before a duel, he was humming to himself as he stepped up onto the stage. It was clear that the boy was in a remarkably good mood, a change of form that was likely a welcome one even if it might've been unnerving at first. Surveying his opponents, his gaze quickly passed over Opeila as a stranger, but his little performance stopped briefly as he nodded to Adonis. There was a light of recognition in his eyes; the two had exchanged names once long ago, and though they hadn't actively kept in touch since their train ride first year they had bumped into one another on occasion.
The young wizard smiled at Callie, confident in the laziest sort of way as he nodded. Some might have perceived it as smug, and his tone was coy as he asked her, "Was that not always the plan, Callie? I thought we were always trying to win, did I miss a memo?"
His posture hunkered down as he focused himself on the duel at hand. Still, he couldn't be bothered to take the competition too seriously. The friendly smile he wore walking in seemed to bear greater resemblance to a cocky grin now, but it was still clear he was there to have fun (if perhaps as a second motivation to winning). Tom once again glanced over to the snakes across the stage, and if they allowed it he'd make eye contact with each deliberately before stating, "If either of you sends an Obscuro my way, I'll make sure you regret it." The threat was only half a joke. Thomas was getting rather tired of being unable to see for half of his duels.

Was Adonis really ready to deal with the mental ramifications that came with losing again if they were to for this duel? Certainly not! Which was exactly why he wasn't trying to think about it and instead move forward, past the previous two duels. He was tired of constantly thinking back on such and instead wanted to move forward with such. All he needed to think about and focus on at the moment was winning this duel. Just winning. A single one. For once. It was quite the annoyance to him that they couldn't. The young Thorn let out a deep exhale and readied himself in his stance with his wand at his side.

He had barely finished uttering the word start before spells started flying left and right. The Ravens seemingly wanted to get some early damage and debilitation in, whereas the Serpents wished to get the enemy team out of action, at least for a moment.
In a rare stroke of either luck or misfortune, every spell struck true. Poor Adonis copping the worst of it. However, in a duel of the blind, the one-eyed team is king. And whilst Adonis was possibly a bit woozy and bleary eyed, his teammate was entirely free to take advantage of the fact her opponents couldn't see.
AJ noted that their seemed to be a sense of small smug satisfaction from the Snakes that they had ignored Thomas' request to not use Obscuro.

Group E: Ravenclaw vs Slytherin
Was there even a better element of surprise than doing what the opponent had said out loud?
... Probably. Did Opeila have a better idea? Well, not really.
She didn't know why her duels always seemed to follow the same pattern. If Opeila had learned something about her partner during this year, it was that his spells were strong, but he was terrible at evading others and maybe the Ravenclaws had noticed that too. The Slytherin wasn't too surprised that their attention was completely on Adonis and maybe that was her luck.
While being underestimated wasn't flattering, it surely was an advantage that she intended to use. "Obscuro!" Praying that she wasn't as terrible as back at the hockey game, where that exact same spell backfired onto herself, she pointed her wand at Callie. Either her prayers worked or she actually improved since the game, a black piece of fabric wrapped around the blond girl's head.
Next to her she heard Adonis casting the same spell- poor Thomas. He had apparently actually not expected it, or he was simply terrible at evading spells as well.
Adonis next to her got hit by both Ravenclaws' spells and Opeila risked a quick look. Alright... he was alright...

In contrast to her surprisingly silent and serious opponents Callie was having a grand old time. As she flung her spell towards Adonis she rocked back and forth on her feet and had her usual easy going grin etched onto her face. Where was the fun in taking everything so seriously? Unfortunately her good mood was interrupted by the sensation of a blindfold encasing her head, prompting a loud laugh. "Thomas you jinxed us!"She exclaimed as she clawed at the blindfold only to find it had suitably latched itself onto her. "Okay, NOW I get why this spell sucks."Action: Owled!

Group E: Ravenclaw vs Slytherin
As to be expected, Thomas immediately jumped into action the moment the duel began. With an expertly cast curse, there was a grim sort of satisfaction on his face as he watched the spell land. Perhaps that was the great distraction that allowed Adonis to hit him with his worst enemy... Obscuro.
This was getting old, and he felt the need to comment on such. "UGGGGHH. I’M SO SICK OF THIS SPELL, TRY SOMETHING ORIGINAL FOR ONCE," Thomas shouted, his outburst the result of countless occurrences of the blindfold being applied. He grumbled under his breath, not providing Callie any sort of satisfaction with a reply as he resigned himself to darkness once again. At least this time, Adonis wasn’t half as good at casting as Willow was—the blindfold didn’t tightly wind around his eyes to the point where it couldn’t be removed with solid effort.

Group E: Ravenclaw vs Slytherin
With a quick flick of his wand and the incantation that came with it, Adonis had immediately gone on to cast the Blindfolding Spell, completely ignoring Thomas' half joke threat. Whatever it was. Joke or not. He did not care. Whether they had met on their first train ride to Hogwarts as First Years or not, it wasn't going to stop Adonis from going with what he and Opeila felt was best at the moment for them to try winning this duel. He was sick of losing. Sick of being targeted for the most part too. It pissing him off was an understatement, especially when he thought himself to be a decent spellcaster and it made it that much harder when he had spells being flung at him left and right. But hey, that is what comes with being a duellist after all, right? Plus, if he were to truly want to be an Auror, things would be far worse and he'd actually be fighting for his life.
The second Adonis' spell flew from the tip of his wand, he was met with one spell that instantly forced him to let out a snot-filled sneeze. He was then met with the Knockback Jinx shortly after and found himself pushed back a bit with a hand holding onto his abdomen as he gasped for air. Eventually, he managed to shake it off rather quickly and get back to being focused enough to ready himself for their next move. Adonis cared not for the comments made by the Ravenclaw team and instead set his sights on whomever he was aiming for next with his wand at the ready.
