Describe why this fits your character (not why you the player want it):
Growing up not only in the Muggle world where kids played rough and not always fair, leading Rebekah to learn how to dodge or slip through a situation unscathed, but among three other siblings has only further developed Bex's abilities. With a small frame especially in comparison to her peers and quick whit she has always been able to slip from one's grasp, evade an oncoming object, or sidestep at just the right moment. Most of this is all thanks to her growing up around a number of other children, even if they were Muggle and didn't have magical advantages only making playtime craftier. Her older brother had a hand in molding her evasive skills as well. Often the Morton children are engrossed in a game of hide-and-seek, freeze tag, or a game involved the need to duck/swerve/roll or lunge out of the way. Bex uses her size to her advantage and is quite proud of her short stature. Even if she appears to be small and frail she is quick to action whether it be taking off at a moment's notice, diving down to hide, shifting to one side or ducking out of the way. There have been occasions during recess where other's would have to form a group of "whose it" after the other children have all been tagged leaving Bex the last man standing and chase down the young girl before the whistle would call for the end of lunch and Bex could slip back inside untouched and victorious.
During her time at Muggle school, Bekah was a part of sports teams as well. She had at least given everything she could a try, except Rugby as the coach was a little too nervous about her being crushed. Her favorite had been hockey which she played as much as she could and practiced any minute she wasn't doing chores or schoolwork. Just as she was during outside time, P.E and games resulted in Bex running virtually untouched around the field. She learned more about weaving in and out of other players, ducking at just the right times, and almost developing a sort of sense to where exactly her body needed to be in order to be out of the way. Even if she was rarely one to score she excelled at helping push the ball up the field and pass it off to her teammates. Before leaving for Hogwarts she had gotten even better at being able to slip by unnoticed and snatch the ball from the opposing team.
Her love of physical activities and running most of all has kept her in shape and agile. Team sports helped Bex become more evasive and instead of making her rely on others to give ques it balanced her reading a room or situation enough to be quick on her feet. Her brother's relentless teasing at home, random swipes as they passed on the stairs, or sudden "head's up!" has created an anticipation of events when Bex is around others, heightening her senses enough to be prepared for anything!

It was a winter day, in the midst of December, and the snow felt so much so that the West Bromwich's kids couldn't go to school. The bus that was supposed to pick them up and bring them to school wasn't able to make its way through the snow. It was one of these rare snowy days - increasingly rare. The Murray's family was almost complete and out playing in the snow. Although it had been pretty difficult for them to get out - as the tiny Emma, aged barely 6, was having difficulties walking in so much snow. However, the tone was cheerful, and Emma even stopped crying after Russell took her on his shoulders. Suddenly, Emma's mother, whose name is Beth, screamed. It was a heart-rending cry that stopped the three kids - Russell, Jamie and Emma (Harvey was working in his room) - from doing what they were doing (basically playing and laughing). All the three looked up at Beth's face, astonished, waiting for an explanation. Which she finally gave us: her wedding ring felt as she didn't wear any gloves - what Russell underlines in a disparaging remark. In her eyes, tears were already accumulating. The three kids start looking for the vanished ring together with their teary mom onto the snow. Emma, who was still on Russell's shoulders, about five minutes investigation, cry out: "Here! Here!" It was a fast move finding the ring in all this glowy snow. Following the fortunate discovery, her mother gave that kind of look to Emma - not old enough to understand, though - just as she saw something brilliant in her small and shiny eyes. A kind of keen sparkle illuminating her young gaze.
It was actually the first that Beth Murray noticed this special ability in her daughter. Of course, when she talked about it while sitting at the table for the meals, or while watching late-night movies with her husband or even while shopping: nobody believed that Emma had some sort of amazing ability. Beth was absolutely convinced of that glow in Emma's gaze and worked towards proving it to the rest of the Murray. They were hard to convince, but Emma quickly started performing that ability, for all to see, in response to the numerous attempts of her mother to showcase her daughter. Beth Murray, a kind-looking mother, a caring childminder, and a delicious cooker, went to great lengths to lose many kitchen utensils, jewellery, and trinkets in order to show everyone that her daughter has a keen eye.
And! Finally, every member of Murray's family started recognised that Emma had this special ability. She was, according to everyone except her mother - that believed nobody in the world was that gifted -, quite more talented in finding small objects and noticing little sparkles than the average.[WC: 472]

Growing up with a football and baseball fanatic isn’t all that great, but it does have it’s benefits.
Christian ‘Chris’ Nakamura, Kage’s mother’s friend’s wizard son, absolutely loved football and baseball, and when Kage was dropped off at Chris’ mother’s house to stay for the day, Chris roped Kage into playing (or rather, trying to play) the two sports with him.
Needless to say, their version of the two sports was very… Twisted…
There would be the warm-ups. “Thirty push-ups!” Chris would bark, and both he and the girl dropped to do them. At first, Kage struggled to do so many, but slowly, strength accumulated, and she was able to do more than sixty at a time.
Next. The actual game would begin. Now, of course, it’s pretty much impossible to have a decent game of baseball or football with only one person, so Chris would grab some of his (wizard) buddies to play with him.
So many Muggle sports fanatics. So many.
The actual game was more a test of nerves, strength, and how loud you could shout. And, of course, your aim and strength. Chris and his buddies taught (successfully) Kage how to throw a fastball (Kage achieved 67 mph at only age 10!), a curveball, and a knuckleball, though her knuckleball wasn’t really a knuckleball at all. Her arm strength accumulated even faster, with the help of ‘warm-ups’. (The arm strength proved to be exceptionally helpful, especially in the later years when Kage learned the art of milkshake making)
And yet.
The football throwing. It bolstered Kage’s strength even more, though her aim in this particular field wasn’t too great. The sport of tackling was also taught to Kage, and soon, she was able to take down both Chris and a friend with one spectacular lunge.
Running was next. Of course, that couldn't be forgotten. Football players ran a whole lot on the field, and baseball players sure darted pretty quickly from base to base.
The baseball diamond was just a set of garbage cans set up neatly in the unusually wide street. The boys and Kage (and sometimes a stray dog or two) would sprint from can to can, can to can. They would sprint for more than twenty minutes a time, and after, stop, panting like dogs, hands on knees.
Years and years of training and games. Years and years of dealing with Muggle sports fanatics. Years and years of strength accumulations.
By age ten, Kage’s extraordinary strength rivaled that of a soldier in the military. She could run miles at a time, and both her throwing distance and speed were probably enough to get her on a minor league baseball team. Probably.
There are more ways to accumulating strength then lifting weights, that was for sure.

Ability or race: Parselmouth
Why it fits this character:
He had inherited this ability from his grandfather, when no one in his family had it before him. Adonis had always been scared of snakes. Afterall, they slithered, hissed, they were full of venom- how could he not be? They didn't even have any arms or legs! They were like his natural born enemy. well, he hadn't ever seen one either. Snakes were not really around in scotland and he never went to zoo's. He had only read books about them and seen picture, but that was enough to ward this ginger off from them. He hoped to never ever actually meet one in person, but just his luck he did.
At 10 years old, not long after his first "magical" experience, a speaker was coming to his school to teach them about animals. Adonis loves animals and was very excited too, hoping to pet cute fluffy animals. he quickly realized he was mistaken when a lady in a zoo uniform walked in, holding a large boa constrictor. Adonis freezed in utter fear. The snake was almost bigger than him, hanging off the woman's arms.
The woman talked for a few minutes about the snake, and asked if anyone wanted to hold it, to demonstrate. No one raised their hands, so the woman decided to pick randomly. that wasn't very fair in adonis's book. The woman pointed at adonis and His teacher ushered him to stand up. Adonis shook in fear, unable to say anything as the lady placed the long snake over his shoulders, holding the one end. The heavy weight of the snake, was almost as heavy as his gut feeling was right now. he wanted to run away as far as he could. the snake felt cold as The lady talked to the class how to properly hold it, while adonis stood there, eye to eye with his worst fear. While the lady was taking, the snakes face got dangerously close to adonis's. He managed to spit some words out at the snake, in fear.``Please don't eat me..ok?`` He stumbled over his words, trying to be quiet so his classmates wouldn't make fun of him for talking to a snake. In his surprise,The snake nodded back. Adonis assumed this was just a very very smart snake, almost unknowing that he himself , was a Parselmouth. The same as grandfather has once been. The snake was removed from his shoulders, and he quickly ran to sit back down on the verge of tears. yes that snake may have understood him, but that doesn't mean it scared him any less. What did you expect? he almost found it scarier that it could understand him. Next time he is encountered with a snake, it will be a bit of a surprise for anyone around him, and for himself. Maybe with this talent, he will be able to overcome his huge fear of snakes and actually befriend them. They may have a lot more in common that he originally had thought.

Link to your encyclopedia thread: Kenna MacNeil
Name of Ability or Race/Talent that you Are Applying for: Non-Human Enthusiast
Describe why this fits your character (not why you the player want it):
Kenna has always had a fondness for creatures, great and small, magical and mortal. Growing up on a sparsely populated island, there were not many humans to befriend. Besides, all the Muggles thought Kenna and her family were "freaks," and avoided them as much as possible. So Kenna, an only child, had to make do with animal friends all her life.
Barra did not have many land creatures, mostly just red deer, eagles, and corncrake. And of course the Hebridean Blacks, though they were so well protected and hidden that Kenna had only once caught the barest glimpse of one, much to her disappointment. An Aethonan had also once landed on Barra. But it had been a brief visit, and the winged horse probably lived on the mainland.
As an island, however, Barra teemed with sealife. Whales, porpoises, otters, merfolk, murtlap, even a kelpie (who, according to Barra legend, was a cousin of the Loch Ness kelpie). Kenna loved greeting the Barra sealife, and had even picked up some Mermish over the years. The selkies that frequented the isles were a particularly surly bunch, but they did seem to take a liking to the lonely young witch. Perhaps they saw in her a fellow outcast, another ugly duckling left out in the cold. Or perhaps they realized that Kenna didn't care that they weren't as pretty as their Greek cousins - she was fascinated with all creatures no matter how ferocious they looked.
Since the wildlife of the Isles was rather limited, Kenna spent much of her free time reading up on creatures and beings to be found in other parts of the world. She was fascinated with magical creatures and beings in particular. She has already consumed and practically memorized all the books on magical creatures and beings to be found in her father's library. Her father being a historian of magic in Scotland, these books naturally had a heavy Scottish tilt. Kenna has used the internet and the Muggle library to learn more about non-magical creatures outside of Scotland, and on a few trips to Diagon Alley has acquired new books on magical creatures around the world to add to her collection.
Kenna can't wait to take Care of Magical Creatures and learn even more about their habits and preferences. She is eager to get a magical pet, probably a Kneazle (because she admires their grouchy independence and protectiveness of their human). She also is excited to meet the merpeople colony of the Black Lake. Her friends among the merfolk of the Outer Hebrides had told her a bit about them - and not all good! But Kenna isn't sure she can entirely trust their opinion; the merfolk of the Hebrides are notoriously independent, half-disgusted by and half-jealous of other merpeople. So Kenna will approach the Black Lake colony and all other creatures she meets with an open and understanding mind, eager to learn more about them.

Describe why this fits your character |
Mary was not used to see many metamorphmagi during her years... She knew that this talent was not really common in the wizarding world. She thought that maybe that was not so ordinary 'cause she lived in Soho, London, practically she grew among muggles.
But she knew one thing: her grandma (her mother's mom) had this ability, unfortunately she had never had the opportunity to know her, since she died a few years before Mary was born... But instead, her mother always told her how her mommy had the ability to switch her appearance to whichever look she pleased, she also could completely change her form!
When Mary was 6 started to notice that when she was mad her hair would change colour, same as her eyes: they would become bright red! Even when she was talking to someone and she was in empathy with that person, her eyes would probably start to change, taking little strands of that person's eye colour. Her ability grew more powerful day by day and it was more difficult to keep it as a secret, since she lived in a place where Muggles were everywhere. She even had to miss Muggle school sometimes because, when she was sick, her ability showed the most. She also hated when they would go out for shopping or when she had to be in the crowd in general for a good amount of time. She was scared that she couldn’t control her talent.
Sometimes when she played with her BFF Emma and she started to show how happy she was, her hair would slightly become more of a golden colour rather than her ash/icy blonde one. Emma could swear that one time she saw Mary's hair changing in front of her eyes, but fortunately anyone could believe her. “I can’t believe that you didn’t trust me!” she told to Mary “I’m not crazy! I’ve seen it I can swear!” Emma was so angry with her that she literally didn't speak to her for an entire week. But then obviously they couldn't sulk for more than 7 days consecutively, so after Mary had to apologize with her - without no reason, since it wasn't her fault - they started to play again together like nothing happened.
On the other hand, when she was at home playing alone, she experimented a lot her ability in order that she could control this incredible ability: she used to bring her dog in her room and practice with him, she watched and played with him, but never losing her concentration... Sometimes she failed and a long tail or two dangling ears would appear, but other times she could reach her goal. So finally, she could get out in public without that terrifying sensation that suddenly she would change her appearance.
Obviously, she couldn't switch to any form on porpouse for the time being, but every day she trains herself in order to make it possible: sometimes she concentrates on a small trait, like the colour of her eyes or her hair, she changes that trait for a certain amount of time until she can call it a success!

Name of Ability or Race/Talent that you Are Applying for: Terrible Presence
Describe why this fits your character (not why you the player want it):Aurora Celestia Ranvier. Her presence was not as graceful as her name. The way she sees other people, how her face remains expressionless when she is alone, and the way she sighed loudly to let people know their existence is not welcome, often make people stay out of her way. Growing up in a muggle world, she had trouble making friends. Some saw her as a really intimidating person who had no interest in social activity. People often found her in odd places not many people like to visit in their free time. Her curiosity about weird things such as conspiracy made her an adventurous kid. Everyone who knew her will always say that she is a stubborn and quiet kid who hates people. Even when she smiles, there just something off about it. Instead of it looked like a genuine one, somehow, they thought it was fake and forced. She has a pretty face and quite bright as a kid, which might be another factor why people thought she is ‘more’ than the rest and unachievable.
Being friendly and warm is never in her blood, not even the slightest to the outside perspective. It was not like she put on a façade to intimidate people. Just how her face structure looked like, stern, serious, and her analytical eye made people think that she silently judged them all the time or as if she was planning something terrible. When someone annoys her, there’s a high chance for her to snap and rip that person either in a calm demeanour or something a bit more physical.
Some will feel uncomfortable whenever she’s near. She would likely ignore them and do her own thing, occasionally giving them a side-eyed look to make them leave. She is somewhat unpredictable. Nobody could pinpoint her mood besides being nervous. She would never show people that she was scared. When things are overly chaotic, she would stick to her cold, quiet, and calm in public but cry like a baby when she’s alone. Aurora’s intimidating presence is more about her expression and her first impression. She only managed to make one friend throughout eleven years of living, and that was because she showed her real emotion. Her hatred towards her stepfather made her a bit closed off. No one besides her closest muggle friend and possibly her mother really knows her.
Despite all of that, Aurora is only an awkward and insecure kid who just want to fit in but don’t know how to.
But it is hard to deny, the vibe that she gives to other people is something else.

Why it fits my character:
Max learned about the World Wrestling Entertainment when he was four and asked his parents if he could learn to wrestle. His father agreed to it and he started training. He soon found out about the different martial arts and asked his parents if he could learn them to which they refused as he was doing very poorly in his wrestling training in terms of offence. On the summer he turned six, he again asked his parents if he could learn the martial arts and his parents agreed to enroll him in bjj classes, thinking he would actually learn offence. The martial arts were very hard for him and although he could easily dodge his opponents, whenever he tried to tackle them they could always break free seeing as he was physically weak. His ultimate goal of becoming a professional wrestler for the WWE slowly began to fade and soon quit training.
One day, when he was 11, his Hogwarts letter was delivered to him by Professor Iwasaki who explained to him and his parents about magic, the ministry of magic, Hogwarts, ect. Once the professor left, Max decided he’d become a professional duelist as he’d probably easily dodge spells just like he dogged his opponents attacks and as he was really great at studying, he’d probably learn many spells for dueling. Later that summer, he and his parents went shopping at Diagon Alley where they bought Max a wand, his clothes, his books, and his school supplies. When he got home, he started reading the books to be ahead of his classmates in Hogwarts just like he was ahead of his classmates in primary school. He made notes when he read the books, notes from A History of Magic, by Bathilda Bagshot, notes from Book of Spells, by Miranda Goshawk, notes from Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, by Newt Scamander, and so, days passed which he used to read all seven books of the books he and his parents bought.
When he finished reading and writing notes on The Dark Forces: A Guide to Self-Protection, by Quentin Trimble, he decided to reread the Book of Spells again as it had a lot of useful charms in there. This book was much more interesting then the others. It had spells that could be used for all sorts of purposes. The book was so interesting he memorized it front to back. He even practiced the wand movements although he was careful not to say anything so as not to do any underage magic he learned about in A History of Magic. Later that Summer he bought Book of Spells Year 2 to practice those charms in Hogwarts.

Describe why this fits your character:The Redmond family home is a two story house located in Dublin Ireland. Three people live in said home, Timothy Redmond, Alison Redmond and their son Liam Redmond. Located upstairs lies the library, guest room and Liam's room as well as two bathrooms one in the guest room and another. This bathroom is located in the hall where you could go left to the library or right to Liams room, straight ahead in this hall lies the bathroom. Downstairs lies the master bedroom, a bathroom, the little room to the garage they use as a laundry room, the kitchen, and the living room. But where not here to visit what lies downstairs where here to visit what lies upstairs. Sitting at the desk next to the window in the library room Liam was reading a book, one that was about History.
But it was for the year in school above his own at the moment. Ever since it was revealed that Eli wasn't actually Liams friend and Marcus chose Eli over Liam because Eli was more fun, Liam became withdrawn from people. He began studying more and more for school, he stopped playing games and read in his free time. Whenever his mother and father had the time to play with him he would decline and say he was going to go and study or read a book. Because of all this reading he always had an urge to read text books ahead of his classmates and for the year above him. As a result from all of said time spent studying he had become a straight A student. Whenever another student was struggling he would tutor them, whenever extra credit was presented he would take it.
Even though he was never in need for the extra credit, he just wanted to keep his mind off of Eli and Marcus. When Liams letter for Hogwarts arrived it took quite a family argument for his parents to finally give in. And allow Liam to attend Hogwarts, but on the one condition he would still be a perfect student. Liam was just happy that they where giving him some sort of deal so he could go. Liam saw this as the perfect opportunity to forget about Eli and Marcus and start over anew. Once he received his supplies and arrived at Hogwarts he began studying the next day after the sorting ceremony. There where so many classes that he would have to study ahead for so he decided to take it slow and add a class to study ahead for every year. So he chose the class he found would be the most useful in general, Charms class.
After reading all the books that he was required to buy one book caught his attention and he began to re read it. Said book was "Book of Spells" by Miranda Goshawk. Liam found this very interesting and after his second read he read it again but took notes along the way. After that he payed visas to the Hogwarts library searching for more books like Goshawk's book. Some of the things he read was material for second years. And while he read he took notes as well, and drew wand movements in his personal journal. Liam found it all very intriguing and fun to learn about. He began listing the library as often as he could without breaking rules, and he soon forgot all about Eli and Marcus. Growing up, Suzuki had never really been fazed by anything. Everything was boring. Not scary. Boring. Snakes were boring, what Muggles called 'horror movies' were boring, everything was just so boring there wasn't a point in them.
When Kage was 10, her ridiculous Muggle friend dragged her over to her house and turned on something called a 'tee-vee'. The two girls ended up watching 'Slenderman', a movie which the Muggle had claimed her brother recently purchased.
Kage learned one thing.
Muggles scream a lot.
During the whole horror film, her Muggle friend wouldn't stop screaming. To be honest, it wasn't scary at all. Sure, a ridiculously tall dude with a faceless face was a bit... Abnormal, but it wasn't scary.
"Whaddaya mean, NOT SCARY? DID YOU SEE THAT GUY? SLENDERMAN? THAT'S LIKE THE SCARIEST THING IN THE WORLD- I'm glad we live in London, no forests nearby!" The Muggle had ranted on for a while before she stopped.
Honestly, though, the movie wasn't that scary.
Kage's mother knew something was up. Kage was hardly scared of anything in the world around her, except for annelids. Annelids freaked her out. Big time.
Emi, Kage's mother, decided it wasn't a big deal, and it was probably good that her daughter was 'fearless'.
About a few months after the 'teevee' arc, Emi took Kage out hiking. Of course, hiking includes the part 'finding snakes'. They had just come across a medium-sized woody area. Now, Kage is the kind of person to only look up, and not down when they’re walking. Needless to say, she didn’t know she had stepped on a snake until, of course, she stepped on the snake.
It moved. Kage lifted her foot.
An adder. Adders are known for that distinctive pattern on their backs, and their poisonous bite.
Kage’s mother jumped. She screamed. And she backed up, pretty fast for someone who sat at a desk all day long and, in Kage’s opinion, did nothing. Kage, however, wasn’t all that scared, even though she did recognize the adder pretty well. She leaned down. Squinted at it. It was only when the snake turned to stare- no, glare at her, until she backed up too.
Kage and Emi Suzuki spent quite a while backing up after that.
Even though Kage may not have been scared of an adder, she certainly did not want to get bit.
Although being 'fearless' didn't seem like much then, Kage found it useful later on in her life (like talking to teachers- that requires more bravery than most people think), and she took advantage of her fearlessness.
It was useful, alright.
