Cookie Cheers!
Stomach rumbling, Tyranni pushed open the doors to the Great Hall, paused quick to scan over the Slytherin table, and upon spotting her friend, she headed over. Despite getting there a bit late, there was still a seat next to Andy.
"Mind if I sit down?" She didn't wait for him to answer, as she knew that the boy would not mind but felt it was polite to ask regardless. From her bag, she pulled out the box with the gingerbread mug that she had received earlier that day (Saturday December 5, 2020) Link, accidentally bumping the right shoulder of her friend. "Oh sorry about that!" She placed her left hand on his shoulder, giving it a quick rub as one would to reassure someone. Setting it on the table, it automatically filled with the drink that was in her mind, warm spiced apple cider.
"Thanks for the gift Andy! I love that you thought of me while you were at Hogsmeade. How did it go?" She raised the cooking mug to her mouth taking a small sip of the warm drink, the smell of cinnamon and apple wafting through the air. If there was a smell that reminded her of still winter nights back at her grandparents in Norway, it was this. Sweet tones from the apple soothe the senses to provide a calming aura, while the spiced cinnamon adds a flair to the drink, deepening the flavor of the apple. Mug still held up near her face, she looked up, and glanced over at the boy, a small grin turning up the right corner of her mouth, icy blue eyes meeting darker blue eyes, a hint of grey flecking the edges.
It appeared that Andy had purchased one for himself as well. Not a surprise. If her mothers joke about the way to a mans heart was through his stomach, she certainly knew Andy would be no exception to this when he got older. It never failed that during many of their interactions, the young boy had food close by to munch on. It was really quite endearing. Her first real friend at Hogwarts, it was fitting. He was a sweet as the treats he so enjoyed eating.

Cookie Cheers!
Spinach lasagna, and a whole head of steamed broccoli. He needed to catch up on those greens to cancel out all the confectioneries that came with the Most Wonderful Time of the Year, turning his blood into liquid sugar. Ah, the benefits of youthful metabolism and an immune system fortified by magic. Genuinely though, Andrew loved his veggies, and he did have a chocolate limit, needing to give his sweet tooth a break at some point.
Rid of his heavy winter cloak, his thick gray sweater and blue jeans were exposed, comforted by the warmth of a crackling fireplace against his back as he sat in the Great Hall, digging into his meal. After a hard day's work of shoveling snow, Andrew looked forward to changing into pajamas after dinner and chillaxing in the Common Room.
By this time, he had completely forgotten about the note he had sent, along with the package to Tyranni. He gave freely out of the kindness of his heart, not expecting anything in return, and rarely ever took anything personally, focusing on more important life-saving matters such as the sustenance of lasagna in front of him.
So when Tyr did appear, his initial reaction was genuine pleasant surprise as to why the girl was here. The contents of the note had long vanished from his mind, since back in the Owlery, he hardly viewed it as a "date" invitation. Tyr was a friend, and they ate together frequently enough. Not as consistently as he and Dan (Dan made sure of that), but variably enough so that mealtimes with Tyr could also be seen as a bit of a special occasion.
Mouth full, he nodded enthusiastically and scooted a smidgen as a gesture for the girl to sit down, only recalling the gift he had sent when Tyr pulled out the box he recognized, containing the gingerbread mug he had bought earlier at Hogsmeade.
Him, being the manly man he was, hardly paid notice to Tyr bumping his right shoulder, but registered the apology and comforting rub of his "injury", causing Andrew to swallow his bite with a playful huff. "Least that wasn't the other one," he half-joked, hinting to his left arm.
That would've gotten a sharper reaction—him and his low pain tolerance and paranoia—if anything brushed up against the tender, inky black veins that ran underneath the left arm of his sweater. As if the slightest disturbance would somehow agitate the poison and cause it to spread further, so he feared. He shuddered internally. Just thinking about it made him wonder how Tyranni was coping with hers. No shortage of admiration for the Co-captain (and Captain) who continued to roughhouse and breeze through Quidditch and didn't seem to show sign of weakness at all, at least from where Andrew sat on the spectator stands.
He distracted himself with another bite of lasagna, grunting lightly in appreciation as Tyr thanked him, then cleared his mouth to reply:
"Oh, it went great. So much fun without you," he said sarcastically, smiling as he went on to narrate everything in detail. He and Dan had shoveled snow from the streets and, while at it, had a short snowball fight with each other, using the piled snow to make their own snowman: with a fluffy gold tinsel scarf, candle nose and paint can top hat (dyed orange and black, respectively, with the Color-Changing Charm). During their break, they had to stop by Honeydukes and pick up some sweets. Perusing the stalls outside in the Square was where Andrew had bought the gingerbread mugs for him and Tyr. Oh, and butterbeers were always in order at the Three Broomsticks, at the behest of Dan and his Irish genes, as well as a proposal about sneaking into the Hogs Head inn for a sip of firewhisky, which Andrew had bluntly refused.
"You? How were you holding up here?" He took a sip from his gingerbread mug—now filled with hot chocolate, saving it for dessert after his dinner plate was cleared—wondering what Tyranni had been up to since they last saw each other.
