A Magical Start.

He honestly looked impressed. Adonis thought it was pretty sophisticated since his was so embarrassing. "so yeah, not as funny as yours, just a little bit boring." he ran his fingers through his hair, and it bounced right back to how it was. ``Well maybe it wasn't super funny, but it wasn't boring! its like..whats the word for it? majestic? i dunno, but its so cool!`` he laughs a little bit.

He smiled warmly . ``if they have a piano or something at hogwarts, i for SURE wanna hear you play. You're probably super good at it too!`` after saying that, he got very excited for it. Hes not very musically inclined himself, he could play an old box guitar his mother had but he wasn't great. Adonis fiddled with his fingers, just now realizing how much he was going to miss his mum and father. They used to all bake together and have contests. Since hes not great at hiding his emotion his smile faded a little, and he looked more blank faced. He was silent for a few seconds, and realized it. ``..Oh uh- sorry ! dozed off for a second there.`

"if they have a piano or something at hogwarts, i for SURE wanna hear you play. You're probably super good at it too!" Adonis said, which made Lillian blush and smile shyly. Personally, she didn't believe that she was amazing at it, but she was above the level for her age.

Lillian was about to talk when she noticed that he went blank-faced and silent for a few seconds. She looked slightly worried - she had only met him today but she knew for a fact that it wasn't like him to be so silent and blank-faced. Adonis was a very happy and expressive person, Lillian decided that he must be thinking about something so she decided to leave it until he came back down to Earth. Finally, he said, "..Oh uh- sorry ! dozed off for a second there." And she nodded to make sure that he knew she understood.

She was sure that there was nothing too wrong with him, but she wanted to make sure he was okay. "Is everything alright? If something is wrong, you can always talk to me," she told him, placing a hand on his shoulder and smiling as warmly as she could at him

"Is everything alright? If something is wrong, you can always talk to me," he smiled back . He really didn't want to burden her, but he didn't want her to be worried either.``ah its nothing. I just realized i wont see my mum or dad for a bit,bit its not that bad.`` he was really comforted by the fact she was asking.

``I've never been away from them for this long, but i didn't think i'd miss em' that much.`` he shrugged. ``i'm still excited nevertheless.`` he paused. ``kinda lame isn't it?`` he gave an airy giggle and rubbed the back of his head. he was a tiny bit flustered and embarrassed by missing his family. Adonis didn't want her to think he was a mama's boy or anything, because in reality the only think his family did together was baking. majority of days he would go outside and mess around with animals or climb trees, than come home and cook dinner. His mom and him were a bit closer, but even than they didn't talk much before he learned about the magic stuff.

Adonis didn't plan to bring his family issues up, since they didn't really upset him, so he wouldn't want anyone else to worry.

"kinda lame isn't it?" Adonis asked with an airy giggle after explaining, and Lillian shook her head. " I don't think it's lame at all...It's understandable. I know ho you feel." She nodded, thinking about earlier when she almost let a few tears slip out at the station.

Lillian never usually got close to people apart from her family. She was scared of her stepdad at first, too, but they have a great relationship now and she even calls him dad. Her siblings were her best friends and it was hard to be away from them, and she was so close to her mum she would definitely miss her the most. "I think I'm going to miss my own room and bed the most," she joked, laughing afterwards.

"Listen, I know I'm not your family, but we're friends, you know? I've never ever made friends this easy, but there is just something that draws me towards you...Besides, you're the only person who'll talk to me," she chuckled, "I suppose what I'm trying to say is that I understand that you're scared you miss your family, and I'm absolutely nothing like your mum or dad or anything like that, but I'm here for you." She smiled warmly, although also a little awkwardly, at him. She wanted to comfort him and make him feel better, and even comfort herself a little. She most definitely didn't want their friendship to last just the train journey.

"Sorry if that's corny," she laughed nervously, scratching behind her ear.

"Sorry if that's corny," Adonis matched her nervous laughs, and than gave her a quick hug than pulled away to talk.
``Not corny at all. hey, if you ever need to talk to me too, I'm always around! besides, you're also the only that will talk to me too.`` he laughed. He never had actual friends before, even though he was warm to everyone. He used to come off to people as annoying and loud, but he learned to live with it. ``y'know , one of the main things i was scared about during this was bein' alone, good thing you're here!`` he looked around a bit still absorbing the atmosphere.

``i am a bit worried about like grades or whatever, if they have those. my noggin' isn't great for learning anything but recipes. Not scared about anything else though-`` he fiddled with his fingers .``unless there's snakes.`` he laughed.
Adonis wasn't great at school, especially in the past few years. He got bullied a lot, but he was very aloof to it, his problem was remembering things.

``how long do you think the train ride is gonna be?``

Lillian blushed slightly when he hugged her, she wasn't expecting it, but then she laughed at what he said about the snake. She would definitely have to try and keep him away from any Slytherins.

"how long do you think the train ride is gonna be?" he asked, and she shrugged. She wasn't sure how long it would be, or really even where they were going. "You know, I'm pretty sure this Hogwarts is some place in Scotland. Although it is a little annoying that the only magical platform seems to be in London at Kings Cross." She smiled, " Hopefully it won't be too long, I get restless sitting down for ages." she admitted with a nod.

"You know I think the grades at Hogwarts are called OWLs or something. I wouldn't worry too much, you can copy my work...As long as you bake me things." She giggled a little, "For legal reasons, that was a joke and there will be no copying."

Lillian was rather smart for her age when it came to things like English and History, but she was terrible at anything related to maths. In fact, she was above average for English, History and even Music. Despite this, she did terribly in Physics and Computer Science and Chemistry and Maths and anything that involved equations or numbers. "Do you think we'll have to do a lot of maths at school?" she asked him, thinking about how hard it was at muggle school and hoping to get away from it.

" Hopefully it won't be too long, I get restless sitting down for ages." He already was restless, so he nodded in agreement. He hasn't stopped moving once since he got on this train. Tapping his foot, playing with his hair, biting his hair...you get it.``yeah me too. no way will i be able to sit for super long on this train.``

Adonis happily agreed to the baking/copying truce with a hearty laugh and a thumbs up.``don't worry, i wont tell anyone, promise! `` he gave a toothy grin trying to hold back laughter and act serious.

" "Do you think we'll have to do a lot of math at school?" he thought for a minute.. would they? its magic after all. He assumed magic had to do with emotions more than equations. ``uh..probably not a lot. i doubt magic have a lotta equations. It is a school though, it probably has some.`` math was one of his worst subjects, next to history. ``I hope there's less math than normal school. i dont wanna have to divide to do magic stuff!``

she laughed and nodded in agreement, "I hate maths, I'm terrible at it. I much prefer reading and writing and stuff, I used to want to be an author or something of that sort. I suppose now that I'm going to Hogwarts I won't be able to do something like that since we don't really learn English or anything, so I won't have the right qualifications. My favourite subject at muggle school was history...a little nerdy, I know." she smiled and nodded, "did you enjoy muggle school? what was your favourite subject?" she asked, to see if maybe they enjoyed the same subjects.

"I think it sounds a little silly, but of all the things we learn at Hogwarts I'm looking forward to classes related to history the most, what are you looking forward to? And also what are you not looking forward to, maybe we can hate the same classes together." she laughed. By now she was laughing practically every sentence. Adonis brought out a different side of her, he even made her feel a bit giddy. She never usually talked or joked this much with someone her age, and she enjoyed every moment of it, almost as if the thought and worries of her old life were gone.

He shared that hatred for math whole heartedly, he mostly just used math as a sleeping class. "did you enjoy muggle school? what was your favourite subject?" he hesitated. ``uhh...i guess english. I wasn't great at it, but i did enjoy reading different stories!`` in all honesty he wasn't fond of any of the classes, but he could tolerate english the most.``i liked lunch more.`` He laughed and rubbed his nose. ``i never really liked school, i got expelled from my first one just some kid punched me right in my nose. He was the headmasters son so he got away with it, and i just moved to a new one.``

He enjoyed the fact she was obviously getting more comfortable around him the more they talked. she was smiling a lot.``well, my mum mentioned a class being about animals or uh..magical animals when she went- if they still have that i think that'dd be so fun.`` adonis also laughed. No one ever bothered to listen to him or took the time to enjoy his jokes and long ramblings. this is probably the most fun hes had in a while. ``history in a magic school sounds way more interesting than history in a normal school. or just ANY subject sounds cooler.``

She listened closely to what Adonis had to say and nodded along with every word so that he knew she was listening. Lillian had the tendency to look bored or unbothered by what others were saying, and she enjoyed Adonis' company so much that she didn't want him to thing that she didn't care.

"Oh yeah, care of magical creatures, it does sound super interesting but I don't know if I like animals that much...I like sea animals and cats and reptiles but truthfully I am terrified of mice" she giggled, "also it really sucks that you went through that at your old school, it's really unfair. I don't understand how anyone could bully or hurt you," she said, shaking her head in disbelief.

Lillian wasn't lying, she really couldn't believe anyone could hurt him. He was so kind and friendly towards her. "I guess I sort of got bullied at school, but people would only shove me sometimes and say mean things to me...I've never been hurt super badly or anything." she admitted. She didn't want Adonis to feel alone so she tried to make him feel better by relating to him. "By the way, why did you get bullied? If it's okay to ask, if you don't want to answer there's no need."
