Welcome To My Life pv Rose Moon

Aldor - Iphiane

Finally a break from the busy days at Hogwarts, classes, overwhelming amounts of people, it was good to be back home, this time he was expecting a visitor, his best friend Rose Moon. For other people, having a friend comer over wouldn't be such an unexpected an special moment, but for Iphiane Humbleglow, this was probably Aldor's biggest achivement so far.

The smell of all types of pastries and the sound of Aldor's favorite band would fill the house. Aldor was pretty happy, for the first time ever, he would bring a friend home, they could share an amazing amount of things, books, music, and the ridiculous amount of food he was preparing with his aunt.

''Iphy, isn't this a bit too much? I am not really sure if just the three of us can actually eat all of this.''

To which is aunt replied jokingly.

''Aldor Amadeus Humbleglow, we both know that you are the most likely to eat all of this, don't think I didn't notice last night you woke up in the middle of the night and ate the left overs of yesterday's dinner''

Aldor laughed quietly, thinking about the plans he had for when Rose showed up. They kept going with the task, until they finally prepared everything that his aunt was planning, the fireplace was cleared, and everything was in the place it was supposed to be, and so, Aldor went back upstairs to get changed while Iphiane sat on the couch, a few meters away from the fireplace. Both patiently waiting for their visitor to come.

@Rose Moon I decided to post it just in case I forget to post it later.

Rose looked up at the time, while she was gathering the things she might need in her bag. It was just a small bag, and only carried small things that she might possibly need, but probably wouldn't. She was scheduled to come to Aldor's house by Floo sometime soon, and she was incredibly excited. She wanted to see his house- where he lived, how he lived, how he liked organizing all his stuff. She wanted to learn more about her closest friend.

She really wanted to meet his aunt. Aldor had talked a lot about his aunt in the past, mostly about how he really looked up to her, but a little about her not sending him as many letters. Aldor usually had very good things to say about his aunt, but when Rose heard about Aldor's aunt sending him less and less letters over the school year, it sparked some concern and protectiveness in the Second Year. She really hoped that Aldor's aunt wasn't about to pull the same act as the rest of his family. Because if she did, Rose would have something to say about it. The redhead did, however, expect their meeting to be pleasant and smooth. She didn't want to judge a person before she ever met them, so she was trying not to with Aldor's aunt.

But most of all? She just wanted to see him. Aldor. Her best friend, and the person she could count on and trust the most. She just wanted to spend time with him.

The lioness looked up, deciding she had better make her way downstairs now. She wanted to be on time on the dot, so she slung her bag over her shoulder and walked out of her room. She looked down the hall that had the rooms of all her siblings. "I'm leaving!" she called, receiving a chorus of "okay"s and "bye"s from her siblings. Rose's mom was at work today, actually, so Rose didn't have to say goodbye to her or tell her that she was leaving. At least, Rose had been told that her mother was at work today. She might be out with her fiance, doing fiance things.

Making her way down the stairs, Rose approached the fireplace. She took some green Floo powder in one hand, and threw it into the fireplace before her. She knew how to use Floo well- she was, after all, taught by her mother. She said Aldor's address.

Rose immediately felt herself and her bag being transferred over to his house. She stumbled out of Aldor's fireplace, being met with a warm smell of baked goods. They smelled so good. She knew that Aldor loved baking, so maybe he had been doing that before she came. Her eyes looked around the room. It looked a lot like a house Aldor would live in. She also saw a woman, who looked very much like Aldor's aunt. She smiled politely, and said in her soft and gentle American voice, "Hi. I'm Rose, you must be Aldor's aunt, right?" Once she got confirmation from the woman, she would continue, saying, "What would you like for me to call you?" She wasn't sure of the woman's first name, and didn't know if her last name was Humbleglow like Aldor's was. So she thought that she might as well ask to find out.

The woman would greet Rose with a smile, she stood up walking up to her and extending her hand, she looked rather happy, but she probably wasn't the first person you'd think about when trying to imagine how Aldor's aunt looked. She was rather young, tall and a bit muscular, with a sleeve of different things tattooed on her right arm, over all, she was quite beautiful.

''That's me, you are absolutely adorable, nice to meet you dear''

She was pretty much Aldor's oppsite, energetic, a little loud, and she bassically spoke without thinking at times, and even though Aldor and all of his family was from Ireland, the way Iphiane talked would probably sound more like she was british, probably because of how often she travels and how she stays in the same place for a long time.

''I'm Iphiane Humbleglow, or Iphy, if you rather call me that. Please come in, take a seat, Aly will down here soon.''

Aly, probably reffering to Aldor, he didn't usually mind being called by diminutives, but it was kind of strange to hear someone reffer to him in such a caring way, but of course, Iphiane was pretty much the only family he had, and the way Aldor always talked about her reflected a strong bond between the two.

Soon enough, the Hufflepuff walked downstairs, with his hair being a mess, like always, wearing casual clothes, a grey shirt with a drawing of a dinosaur, it was a bit big for him, a pair of black socks and black shorts, yeah, it was definetly Aldor's style. He was carrying a small red box in his hands, probably something that he wanted to show Rose.

''I'll leave you two so you can talk, I'll be right back.''

Iphiane walked towards Aldor, giving him a pat in the head before walking back into the kitchen. The boy would walk up to Rose, smilling brightly, as he opened his arms a little, almost as if he was offering her a hug, at this point, it wasn't unusual that the boy seeked for Rose's attention.

''I'm glad you came.''

Rose reached forward to shake Iphaine's hand, smiling back. Rose's handshake was firm, but not rough. Her great-aunt always told her that you had to have a real handshake if you were to ever shake someone's hand. Not something floppy or fake. She blushed a little as she was told that she was absolutely adorable. Rose hadn't really heard that kind of compliment before, but she did appreciate it. "Thank you so much. It's wonderful to meet you too. I've heard so much about you."

Iphaine never really gave her an answer about what she wanted to call her, so Rose wasn't sure how to address her. She decided she could just call her Iphy or Miss Iphaine if she really needed to call her by her name. Rose was ushered to come in and offered a seat, so she said, "Thank you," as an instinct and came in, sitting on the couch. In a place that she wasn't familiar with, Rose would much rather stand up than sit. It just felt so invasive to sit on the couch right as she came in. But she did know that some people really liked serving people and welcoming them into their home, so she pushed that aside and perched on the couch when she was asked to.

It was kinda cute the way that she called him "Aly." Rose was sure that meant Aldor- who else would it mean? Their pet or something? Iphaine was not much different than she had imagined her, but definitely different than Aldor. Her red hair matched his, and their faces were similar, but she had tattoos all up her arm and seemed very energetic, loud, and upbeat. Nothing like Aldor.

And it smelled like heaven in that house.

Aldor came down and Rose couldn't help but smile as she saw him. "Hey, Aldor," she said, as a greeting. She was offered a hug and she stood up from the couch to go hug Aldor. She did see the box in his hands, but decided to ask him about it later. He told her that he was glad she came. Rose smiled. "I'm glad you invited me. How are you?" she pulled back from him. He looked a lot like... Aldor. Rose was wearing a denim romper, nothing too fancy or out of the ordinary.

Rose looked down to the box. "What's this?" she turned her head a little in curiosity, wondering what was inside.

The boy looked back up at his best friend, tilting his head a little, as he answered Rose's first question, he looked quite smiley, more than usual at least.

''I'm alright, I slept quite well last night.''

Aldor would show the box to Rose as soon as she asked what it was, he wasn't usually the type of person who gave too many gifts to his friends, but this time it was different, somehow he felt like it would be very kind to have something prepared for her, although, it was true that he spent the whole day cooking and fixing the whole house, even his room, which was a miracle.

''I got this for you- it isn't much, but I hope you do like it''

The boy blushed a little, as he handed the gift to Rose, inside of the box, there was a silver necklace, a dragon holding on to the moon, the symbol seemed familiar, the dragon specially, it had some similarities to an Antipodean Opaleye, but the whole symbol, was almost identical to one that was in one of the books that Aldor showed to Rose.

This was the emblem of the Humbleglow, Aldor learned recently about the past of his family, apparently the family is much more ancient than it seemed, there wasn't many things that stood out about them at first glance, but their capability to research and obtain information, apparently some of them were related to the Minsitry of Magic, others simply solved their own problems.

Aldor said that he was alright, which was a good sign. Rose could always trust Aldor to be honest with her, so she did take that seriously. He also said that he got a good night's sleep last night, which Rose was also happy about. A good night's sleep always helped things. "That's good."

He handed her the box. She had expected for it to either be something for her, or something he wanted to show her. The former was more accurate. She glanced up to him, scanning his face. He looked a little bashful, and maybe nervous about the gift. She opened up the box. For a moment, Rose was breathless. "Aldor..." she finally whispered.

A silver dragon wrapped around a crescent. It was elegant and oh, so Aldor. Dragons were just Aldor's thing. She would think of him and his passion for dragons every time she saw it. It was so thoughtful of him to think of her like that, and to give her something. He didn't normally give her gifts, so it meant a lot for him to do that. "It's gorgeous. I love it," she said softly. Tearing her eyes away from it, she looked back up towards Aldor. "Thank you so much." He said something about friendship bracelets, and that maybe this could be theirs. "Yeah! I like that. Except maybe they're..." Rose held up the charm on the chain. It wasn't really a bracelet at all, was it? It was more of a... "friendship necklaces." She smiled at him again, it reaching her eyes. Rose took both sides of the necklace and pulled it around her neck, fastening it there. She pulled her hair out from under the necklace, and adjusted the charm on her chest. It fit right below her collarbones. It looked good on her. "Thank you again. It's... amazing. I appreciate it."

She took in a deep breath. "What is that smell? It smells like heaven in here."

''It's the least I could do after everything you've done for me.''

Aldor smiled, brushing a bit of hair away from his eyes, he was really glad that she liked the gift.

Meanwhile, at the kitchen, Iphiane was simply finishing to decorate everything she had baked with Aldor, but also listening at the students talk, at this point, she was bassically tearing up out of pure happines, she knew Aldor would go very far, but somehow, having the boy's friend at her home, reasured her, and made her very joyful.

''Honestly? I think it's a mix of Grilled Jamaican Pork Chops, Ice Cream, Apple Pie, cupcakes, cookies- goodness, I can't even recall the rest, I believe there was chocolate and a lot of other stuff-''

Aldor got a bit closer to Rose, almost as if he didn't want his aunt to listen to what he was about to say.

''As soon as I asked if you could come over for vacations she went crazy and started cooking at every possible chance, honestly, this could last for a few days if distributed well.''

Aldor laughed quietly, it was true that his aunt could be a little bit intense at times, but he was glad that she was happy that Rose was going to come over to their home, even though Iphiane had a few weeks in which she stopped writing letters to Aldor, she still loved him, and was extremly protective. It would be no surprise to Rose that Iphiane treated Aldor like it was her own child.

Soon enough she came out of the kitchen and walked back to them, placing a hand on Aldor's head, trying to fix his hair a little, which was pretty much a futile attempt, while she did this, Iphiane turned to Rose and smiled and smiled at her.

''I'm sorry for interrupting, I just forgot to ask how long you were allowed to stay here dear. Apart from that, would you like some cookies while the time for dinner comes around?''

Everything Rose has done for Aldor? Rose was about to retort that she hadn't really done that much for him. But she didn't want to ruin the moment, so she kept her mouth shut. Maybe she had done a lot for him, though. She had helped him come out of his shell a little, encouraged him, gave him advice, and let him confide in her. But he had done stuff for her, too! He had let her confide in him, too. He had complimented her and made her feel better about herself.

She giggled a little when he told her the ginormous mash-up of all the different foods that contributed to the smell floating around the house. "That's a wide variety of smells," she commented. She leaned closer just a little to listen to Aldor's words, then gave a little laugh again, though quieter this time because of Aldor's lowered voice. "Well, more for you, then," she murmured. She was glad that Iphy was excited that Aldor had a friend.

Iphaine came out of the kitchen and did something that Rose and her family would call "momming" him. She tried to tidy up his hair (which, in the end, wasn't very fruitful). You wouldn't ever be able to tell that Iphaine was Aldor's aunt, rather than his mother by blood. She apologized for interrupting, and then asked Rose how long she would be staying.

Well, Rose's mother usually came home late, because of her work. Rose wasn't sure how late she would be late tonight. Her mother had asked her to be home by seven. Technically, Rose knew she wouldn't be home until a lot later than that, as she had been most of the time. She had tried to take some days off for Easter, but she hadn't been entirely successful in the end. She had ended up working pretty much the whole break, anyway, save for a couple of nights. "Oh, don't worry about it. It's a little after three now, and my mom said I have to come back home no later than seven o'clock. I don't have to stay that long, though. She's not coming to pick me up or anything, she has work tonight. I think I'll just floo back home around seven, if that's okay with you?" Rose would let her respond, and then would answer her other question. "I would love a cookie, thank you for offering."

She looked to Aldor. "I also wanna see your room sometime," she said. "You can learn a lot about a person from their room."

Iphiane nodded and did a thumbs up when Rose answered her questions, taking out her wand, and with a flick of it, brought the plate of cookies to the small table close to the couch.

''There, feel free to take as many as you want dear.''

She smiled and walked back to the kitchen, leaving the two young wizards on their own.

After this, Rose told Aldor she would like to see his room, in reality, he wasn't really expecting she did, but at least he did tidy up his room, which, to his aunt, was a big surprise, since he never really took care of his room, and would always leave several things laying around.

''Oh, we can go now if you'd like to, is upstairs, there is three doors but- it's pretty obvious which one is my room''

He would let Rose go first as he followed closely, for some reason, Aldor didn't feel that nervous about this, after all, he opened his heart to his friend many times, and it wasn't like his room was something he had to keep secured so no one could go in.

Upstairs, as Aldor said, it was pretty obvious to guess which one was Aldor's. It was a simple white door, which he decorated with a few stickers of dragons, and hung a small sign on the door handle, which simply said 'Humbleglow'.

Inside, was pretty much anything you could expect from the young boy, a desk he used for writing and putting a few other things on, such as small plastic figures of dragons, a bed which seemed a bit small, but considering Aldor's height and complexion made it pretty much the best size for him. Over it, there were a few plushes with shapes of different magical creatures.

There was a shelf which had clothing on the lowest part and a few toys as the shelf went up and the walls had a few of those glow in the dark stars. In general, it was pretty easy to understand Aldor with a quick glance over his room.

There was one last thing which could catch someone's attention, a letter written by Aldor, dedicated to someone called Elzabeth Gillan. It wasn't long, and it was most likely just a summary of poems, but why would Aldor send that to anyone? If he ever sent that letter that is.

Apologies for the delay, motivation has been kicking my butt
Rose reached out to take a cookie from the plate that was set out, saying, "Thank you." She looked down at the cookie. It was a little strange that Iphaine had called it a cookie, as normally people who lived here in the United Kingdom called it a "biscuit." That was the weird thing with languages. In America and the UK, they both spoke English, but it was different versions of it. They had different words for the same things, and said things differently, and spelled things differently. Same language, different dialects. It was fascinating. She only wondered for a second why Iphaine had called it a cookie, as it wasn't that entirely important.

She took a bite out of the cookie. That cookie was good. "Mm," Rose said softly, taking another bite quickly after that. "What kind of cookie is this?" she asked. "I might have to make it myself sometime." Rose said stuff like this sometimes. That maybe she should do something, try something, make something. But normally she couldn't. Her family just didn't have that kind of money.

Aldor let her go first up the stairs, so Rose forced herself to be confident. If he trusted her in his house, then it was no use worrying about if she was being invasive or not. Rose's hand hovered just above the railing as she went up the stairs. It was instinctual, something she had always done. If she tripped, then she could put her hand out for balance. But if she didn't need it, it would have no problem just hovering above the railing.

The Hufflepuff was right- it was obvious which room was his. His door was decorated, and when she turned the handle to go into his room, she just knew that it was his room. Everything about the room screamed Aldor. Well, Aldor wasn't much of a screamer. So maybe everything about the room told you with honesty that this room belonged to the ginger-haired boy.

She saw the open letter on the desk, but she definitely wasn't rude enough to read his letters to other people. Wasn't that illegal or something? But she did wonder what other friends he would be writing to. They would probably be cool people, if Aldor had found them and had written to them. Her gaze only passed quickly over his desk and his room.

"Ah, this is definitely your room," she said with a glance behind her at Aldor.

There was something strange about houses. You could tell what kind of a person lives there just by the appearance of the house. And each house seemed to have its unique kind of smell. Right now, there was that Aldor smell mixed with the baked goods that Iphaine had made in anticipation for Rose's arrival. You could just tell that the two of them lived there.

Now that she was here, and they had moved past the greetings and the courtesies, they didn't have anything to do yet. "What kind of stuff do you have to do?"
