Alice Wilson | First year | Slytherin
Full Name: Alice Wilson

History/Background Story: Alice was born in 2009. Her mother, Liliane Moore, is a muggle working as an estate agent. Her father, Elliot Wilson, is a wizard working at the ministry.
Although Alice has a wizard father, she didn't know anything about the magical world before recieving her letter from Hogwarts. This was due to Elliot keeping it a secret from Alice and her mother. A fact which was probably one of the reasons which lead to their divorce when Alice was five years old.
After the divorce, Alice stayed with Liliane. And while her mother tried to ensure a good childhood for Alice, there was always a feeling of dissonance. Because even though Elliot had managed to keep them unaware of the magical world, Liliane was aware there was something "weird" about him. And she was always worried Alice would share this weirdness, she kept an emotional distance from the child.
Her father on the other hand was very caring, on the few occasions that he actually was there. He rarely had time to do something with Alice, claiming he was busy with work.
During school, Alice was always rather popular among the other children. She was the kind of person who got along with almost everyone and seemed to know everyone. On the flipside, while she liked to spend time with a lot of other children, there were barely any which she could actually consider friends.
After she got the letter from Hogwarts, her father has contacted her and finally told her the truth about himself. While Alice understood the reasoning behind him keeping it secret, she was still angry about it nonetheless. The two of them parted on bad terms when she left for Hogwarts.
First Instance of Magic: The first instance of accidental magic was when Alice was playing a game of hide and seek tag (once you're found you can run away until the seeker has caught you) with friends. By that point she was the last one left and had gotten pretty worked up, trying not to get caught. While running away, she tried to slam a door she was running past shut to block the seeker. But she missed and didn't grab a hold of the door. Despite this, the door slammed shut either way.
Due to nobody except for Alice herself noticing that she hadn't actually touched the door, there were no reactions to this whole situation. Alice thought of it as strange, but since she had lived a pretty normal life until then, she chalked it up to a weird occurence, maybe she did actually touch the door and misremembered.
During the following two years, several small occurences like these happened. Alice herself was confused about these, but was unable to understand them. Her parents on the other hand started to notice and reacted quite differently. Liliane started to distance herself further from Alice, realising that she had the same weirdness to her which had brought Lilianes relationship with Elliot to ruin. Elliot on the other hand started to spend more time with Alice, although he didn't tell her anything until she had received her letter.
