Birds of Prey
Gabriel watched with pride as his pet gyrfalcon / owl flew around in the air for the first time at Hogwarts.
His eyes started tearing up and Gabriel had to move his hands and wipe his eyes in such a way that he would be able to continue to watch Felix fly. Majestic white with black speckled in between, Felix flapped his wings and circled around, searching for something to eat. Prey. Food. Hunger. Life and death. All of these thoughts went through Gabriel’s mind as Felix started speeding up.
Gabriel watched in awe and with anger as a dark shadow crossed over and flew next to Felix. It was a wild Gyrfalcon, and it was a loner.
The two circled each other high up in the air, showing off their majestic wings and dangerous beaks and claws. Having acknowledged each other’s existence and having asserted that neither wished to battle, the wild gyrfalcon flew off back into the Forbidden Forest.
Gabriel whistled a high note and Felix flew straight down and landed onto Gabriel’s glove encased left hand. “Good boy Felix, good boy. He said while stroking the gyrfalcon / owl’s head. Gabriel was very happy for Felix, as he would now be assured of his safety within the air and in Hogwarts.

Birds of Prey
Melina had somehow found herself wandering the grounds again, it was something she'd often do by now as friends didn't seem to be her forte as they where back home in France. Getting cold she tied up the strings of her hoodie and let down her hair hoping it would create some extra warmth.
Walking through grasses and stepping down steps , she had eventually gotten bored and sat down. Melina had done a lot of thinking recently, originally she had scoffed at what the hat had told her but she was starting to believe it, maybe she did need a change in her mindset.
Melina sighed, her eyes taking her away to the sky where a stunning owl was flying in elegant circles. It made her think of the time where Melina and her Brother Marcus had gone to a bird show where there where all sorts of Falcons ,birds, owl's and eagles on display. Smiling a bit she spotted a boy, probably the owner who was tearing up at the sight of his bird, who was now not alone.
As the birds made quite the show Melina gazed in awe, eventually it flew back down to it's owner and the other possibly wild was out of sight. She smiled as the boy affectionately praised his pet.

Birds of Prey
While wiping his eyes clear of tears after Felix had landed safely, Gabriel noticed that someone was watching him. They were wearing a hoodie so Gabriel could not tell wether they were a boy or a girl, but he could tell that they had been watching him and Felix for probably a little bit less than five minutes. They were sitting down in the grass not a far distance from where he stood, so he let Felix fly after him as he set out to meet and talk with the 'stranger', but in a good way of course.
Gabriel strode over the grass with an air of pride mixed with a newborn sense of confidence. When he got to where the 'stranger' was sitting, he said: "Hi there. My name is Gabriel Mattix. Am i correct in saying that you have been looking in my direction. I mean this in a good way, as Felix is not a very good talker. Listener yes, but talker no...” He said while pointing in Felix’s direction, which was changing every couple of seconds as he did aieral tricks and basically just flew around like any other ‘normal’ bird would. However, Gabriel was a bit curious as to why the ‘stranger’ had not gone up to him after he had caught her staring intently at Felix and him...

Melina raised her eyebrows as the young boy approached her, he seemed rather confident considering she had just seen him cry. As he stood in front of her she decided to take down her hood, it was probably a bit strange. He took a minute looking back at his bird before talking.
"Hi there. My name is Gabriel Mattix. I am correct in saying that you've been looking in my direction. I mean this is a good way, as Felix is not a very good talker. Listener yes , but talker no.."
She nodded as he pointed at his bird and smiled lightly at his slightly confusing set of words, perhaps that was a British thing. "Well Felix really is rather good at putting on a show, i'm Melina, Melina Descoteaux." Melina brushed her frizzy hair out of her face and sighed "sorry if it was weird of me to stare, i was just walking around and i saw him."
Melina spotted the boy's Ravenclaw tie and couldn't help but get curious, it was one of the houses she was hoping to be sorted into, minus Slytherin of course. "What's Ravenclaw like?" She asked, probably again a bit strange but why not.

Birds of Prey
Ve was wondering the ground for the first time, taking in everything. Bates her harpy eagle on her shoulder. Right now she could only see two people talking, and since it was a good day. When she sat down she and Bates looked up to see a bird that she couldn't identify. Bates let out a quite chip, she smiled and nodded before standing up and letting him fly into the air. She chuckled as he did Arial tricks the strange bird, before sitting down on the bench. She pulled out a random book from her bag.
She chuckled quietly at Bates, and looked at the two kids in front of her, and just shook her head. She looked back up at Bates who was playing chase in the air with the other bird, "Bates Anseo!" She yelled in Gallic, her strong Irish accent clear in her voice. Bates stopped and flew down and landed on her arm gently, because she doesn't wear gloves. "Hi bud, having fun?" she chuckled out, bates just nodded, "Well we can stay." She smiled, bates chirped again and took off. She knew he would fly to far, but she still feels that he checks up with her. She looked down at her book and continued to read about the Mythical Birds that are found around the world.
