It was a drawing. He observed it blankly, burying his face back into his legs soon after. Idly he ran his nails along the softer skin of his neck. He ignored the offering for drawing. The sentence of uncalled-for claims of familiarity did not appease him, it just made him think that the being didn't grasp the depth of why he was like this.

The question of whether or not drawing would ground him elicited a blunt response.

"Drawing holds no meaning to me." The boy spoke in a low mutter. Keeping his eyes shut tightly. Art was something he learned simply because he was an heir. There was no meaning behind it to him, he didn't know it because he enjoyed it. It was just a tool used to impress nobles and clan elders.

His breathing was shallow. "It would not be a release."

He tensed as the adult moved, changing back to the previous shape that just made his skin crawl more. It was like a wolf to him, a wolf trying to make itself less threatening so it could more easily devour a sheep. He wanted to stop growing up, probably wasn't a very healthy way for an adult to cope.

He shifted in discomfort, making himself look away. Fingers flexing into claws that breached the thin epidermis of his throat. He croaked out a dull response.

"That's nice. It does not comfort me. No matter the mental age, you are still a person of authority." He left it at that, adding what he wanted to say mutely.

' Someone who can do a lot of damage if willing to betray those they are supposed to protect. A person one would be more inclined to believe than a child who doesn't know any better. His form tensed at the thought, scarred memories rising up that made him shiver slightly. He swallowed dryly.

"In the end, it doesn't matter to me."

He kept his expression hidden, form still tense.
