Boggart Banish
"That's not at all how this works!" Alan complained weakly. "I know what I saw and anyone would have been suspicious, you simply could have said its a boggart but you choose not to-" he would argue slightly, before adding, "-, sir" He meant no disrespect but it simply was not fair to put the blame on him. Curiosity wasn't a crime especially if it was well placed. If it had been an actual girl and Alan had simply walked away he would have done something much worse, so in the end he did the right thing. It ended up being a misunderstanding but Kit had been the one to not uncover the issue. Though Alan also knew he couldn't be mad at the man, it was mostly confusion. Would he have reacted the same? No one would like to admit their fears to a stranger, right?
He couldn't help but nod slowly, that had been exactly his thought process at least a little. Knowing another person's fear unveils a big portion of who they were and what made them who they were. Alan was a little unsure how he felt about a stranger knowing this, but he was sure he could place at least some amount in trust in the other man. He was a metamorph just like he was and he also was somewhat a superior tasked with the students protection. When the man asked about his question, Alan had to bite his lip as he thought about how to word it correctly, before taking a leap of faith and finally asking. "How do you not care what others think of you when you transform in public," he finally asked, cringing at how bad he formulated the question in the end. He did not mean to sound brash or impolite, the opposite was the case, he somewhat admired the caretaker's ability to not worry about this so much as Alan did. But Alan had grown up his whole life with only one objective, to hide what he could do because others wouldn't react positively to it.
