Hogwarts on Ice
Alan probably should not have been as confident in his abilities to stay on his feet as he had been, because right away the universe punished him. One of his skates would slip away as he moved to steal the puck from Dee's grasp. So instead of doing anything useful he would crash onto the ice, pain shooting through his knee. He bit his teeth together, a slight hiss escaping his mouth at the slight pain before he pushed himself back up again, readying himself for whatever could follow. It took him a while to get back on his feet with the ice being quite slippery. As he got up he could watch many other people go ahead and be in the offense and defense of things but at least he hasn't been the only one to hit the ice; so Jake too had to fight to get off the ground. Alan couldn't help the amusement that made him smile as he watched the pillow wrapped boy get off the ice. The pillows, while possibly taking the brunt of the fall, did not seem quite useful when it came to maneuverability but Alan didn't want to crush the boys hopes or dare insinuate for him to do a sport without being "protected" though his falls still seemed painful and Alan wondered how much of the damage the pillows could actually shield him from. As he finally had found himself into a standing position, Alan would mentally ready himself for the next move and this time put more effort into staying upright on the ice as he wouldn't want to fall down again. He wanted to be of better use for his team.

@Thomas Lestrange
After swirling around the ice with Flash, and a momentary run-in with Dealla at the beginning of the game, Willow had come to a full conclusion that skating around and hugging friends was much more fun and less mean than how everyone else was playing. They all seemed to be mad at each other, what with the tackling attempts and the body blocks. This was coming from a person who had been on the Quidditch and Duelling team.
One person in particular that seemed to need a little bit of extra love was Dealla. Something about her vibes was off and Willow was determined to fix it! However, in a way that was solidly Thomas Disapproved. Which made her happy. He was a big bummer on a big bummer ice rink, not just in a big bubble pool. "Dealla~ I'm coming for you!" Her voice was sing-song, the most non-threatening a badger could get. Her arms were outstretched as wide as her smile. They quickly wrapped around the girl's shoulders and to Willow's surprise, she was hugged back! "Anytime! Let me know if you need any more hugs throughout the game~" This was something she took very seriously.
Distributing happiness was truly much more important than playing hockey.

@Willow Anderson @Henry Knight
For once, Jake had tried to do his job defending, but suddenly he hit a rough patch of ice, and his feet came out from under him. Then, for the third time, Jake found himself falling straight down onto the ice. The small boy lay on the ground, frustrated at his feet, and at how hard it was to move around. The pillows meant the fall didn't hurt (much), but the jarring to his body wasn't fun, and falling was still scary. And this time his cheek scraped against the ice too. The pillows also meant it was hard to move and balance. And he thought he was doing a good job but he must have not been really, because he couldn't even stay on his feet. He was horrible at hockey. Why had he even tried to play?
It was then that he heard that familiar voice again, and that boy from before had come back. Jake looked up at him, and tried to stand. It was something he was getting practice at. "I'm okay..." he murmured, trying to hide his face from the other boy, because he could feel a lump in his throat, and a prickling in his eyes.
The other boy said he was one of the best players because he tried the hardest. Jake did look up for a moment then and give the boy a small smile. He was trying hard...he was...but if he was the best player why did he keep falling down?
The third fall had made the difference for Jake, and while the Hufflepuff had been skating quickly before, now he drifted along slowly, no longer willing to risk it. The pillows had protected him from pain, but they hadn't protected his feelings.
He looked up at the voice of one of his friends, and saw Willow skating towards Dealla, offering her a hug and telling her to let her know if she needed any more through the game. Jake raised his hand slightly.
"I need a hug..." Jake said, sniffling as he tried to skate over to Willow.

-Mentioning @Alan Vanes -
Lydia's idea of trying to tackle Alan seemed good at the beginning: she knew how to skate, and she still didn't know if the other boy was able to skate or not, so in the chance that he wasn't that good at it, tackling might have sent him on the ice. However, that could have worked if she wasn't suffering from the Curse of the Bogies.
The stupid curse was getting the best of her, making her feel dizzy and almost as if she couldn't breath. Her nose was basically completely closed, and she had to breathe from her mouth; however, that wouldn't have been a problem, if only she wasn't also feeling nauseous. Trying her best to keep her feet steady on the slippery ice, she skated towards Alan, ready to try and do something useful for her team. He was getting closer and close, so Lydia prepared herself for the impact that would have come the moment she would have tackled him...
That moment never came. Lydia looked around confused, not understanding what had just happened: did the boy move away in time, or did she completely miscalculated her trajectory?
A small sigh left her lips, before she sneezed once more, her head feeling way too light for her liking. She needed to wake up and do something useful for the team, instead of just skating around.
Looking around, Lydia thought about what she could do next, and then went on with her plan.

Dealla Prince could have a career day, a hat trick if you will. Yet the pair would still look back to this day and know who the victor was the moment Thomas discovered her abhorrence for her name. The instant change of features aided this belief, leaving Thomas with an amused expression opposite her as she finally gathered the puck on her stick blade.
Additionally, her negative reaction delayed her shot, allowing Thomas to square himself to Dealla's position and increase his chances to save. She rejected the name was hers, Thomas releasing a rare soft chuckle to himself, opting to stay focused on the puck before engaging further. After she spoke, she leaned forward sending it into the air, a decent shot trajectory labeled for the inside of the post.
Stretching out his leg in unison with his stick, Thomas barely managed to deflect the puck for another save. Preserving his net once more, though he could not attain control of the puck-- it eluded his reach and spun back out into his defensive zone. "Keep shooting, Dealla." Thomas encouraged her with a sarcastic drip, his eyebrows raising with an amused nod.
His eyes then relocated to his defenders, one beginning to take a lap after a failed spell. And the other who would probably headhunt Thomas if he issued another command. He would eye Willow briefly, in hopes she pursued the puck. Hoping a cohesive backcheck from their forward group would allow their team to regain possession and end Opeila's boredom.

Miss.Another player who was having a not-so-great time on the ice was poor @Jake Morris. While physically unhurt, falling down again and again while everyone else seemed to be playing the game without him really wasn't all that much fun. Thankfully, his housemate Willow was around to cheer people up, generously distributing hugs to anyone who seemed like they might need it, and Jake needed one. He even announced this, but perhaps not loud enough? Or Willow was still distracted by checking on Dealla? Either way, she did not seem the hug coming, its force powered by the desperation of half a dozen falls, and did not have time to brace herself. While the impact of Jake bumping into her was cushioned by his pillows and likely didn't hurt at all, the fall onto the ice did. A little.Initiative: Jake vs Henry

Two successful saves under his belt, two out of three of his spells had hit, and he was looking to extend that streak. Ileen gritted her teeth and tried to finish her lap as fast as possible. As much as she had been confused at the beginning of the game, she now wanted to participate. This was something personal now. Her eyes squinted and a grim expression on her face, she looked over her shoulder from time to time to follow the events. She couldn’t believe what her team was doing there. None of them contributed something besides, and that was probably even worse, Lestrange. At least he had managed to block Dee’s scoring attempt. Henry seemed like he was somewhere else. “All hat and no cattle,” she muttered to herself, deliberately ignoring the fact that she herself contributed absolutely nothing - as long as there were others to blame…
However, when she was about to finish her stupid and undeserved lap, Team blue was in puck possession once more. More precisely, the Hufflepuff, Kazuo, had the puck. Ileen felt a wave of motivation crashing over her, which was certainly not only driven by noble and positive feelings, and picked up the pace once again. "No way, not if I can prevent it." And she meant it. If she had to throw her body on the ice penguin style she would.
Under no circumstances was this boy allowed to score a goal. Probably no one had ever seen Ileen so motivated. Her dark eyes were flashing, her lips were tightly compressed, and her eyebrows met steeply above her nose. She dashed past her own goal, finally done with her penalty round. She wanted to prevent the Hufflepuff from scoring so badly that she would even team up with people she disliked almost as much. Only in the short term, of course.
So, she quickly looked over her shoulder as she passed by Lestrange. “Keep it up and defend it! Do it!” Only Lestrange himself and Dee could tell from that how much she despised the other boy.
The Slytherin prefect had defended his goal brilliantly so far and certainly didn't need such unhelpful advice, but that wasn't the point. That was the closest she would ever come to cheering when it came to Lestrange. You have to take what you can get.

Back to his senses, his next target would be his friend. With Alan joining the enemy team, they now had a significant advantage. He watched Alan's games, even competed with him in Shuntbumps, he knew he was a lot more than he seemed, in nearly every way. Flash had a strategy that was easy to read if anyone watched him during games-- go after the biggest threat. Who was it who taught him that... wasn't it Val, actually? Was it really a wise choice?
Well, he already checked Willow, might as well take a turn asserting his dominance on all of them one after the other. Maybe then they would start backing off instead of even trying. Well, it wasn't likely that he alone would strike fear into the enemy. He was far from being scary. Instead, he hoped it would make his team feel more assured, and more at ease. That said, Alan was predictably too sturdy to fall. Flash's height and muscle was only an advantage against others his age. Still, the strike hit at least.
Meanwhile, it was hard not to notice his partner in defense giving Willow a fluffy tackle. A smile would creep onto his face involuntarily, knowing Willow was sure to enjoy getting piledriven by pillows. She looked like she was happy, which made Flash happy.

Kazuo caught a glimpse of Flash giving Alan a solid check and grinned at his teammate in encouragement. Flash was a hell of a defenseman considering none of them had really known what they were supposed to be doing when the game started. Maybe the Slytherin just enjoyed knocking down the opposing team? Whatever the reason for his success, it was certainly helping them keep a step ahead.
As he raced to where the puck had slid out of his initial reach, he sensed other bodies also closing in, amused that it once again seemed to be him and Dee against Henry. Was he the only one on their team trying to grab it? Unfortunate for him because he simply wasn’t fast enough this time around. It hadn’t been his intention to tussle with Dee over it; his only intention was to keep it away from Henry and wouldn’t have cared if it had gone to her. In the end, the puck was on his stick and this time he wasn’t going to let anything else distract him. As he turned to face the net, however, the force of impact caught him by surprise. Having avoided bodychecks and spells alike to this point, it seemed his luck had finally run out. Or rather, maybe Lestrange finally identified him as a threat.
“Oof!” He let out his breath in a whoosh at the impact of the knockback jinx. That was not pleasant. Yet he managed to keep his stick on the puck despite being pushed backward across the ice. He managed to slide to a stop, raising his head to gaze straight at Thomas, giving the goalie and grin and a slight nod of acknowledgement. “Good hit.” He offered in response. “My turn.”

When Cash joined this game, the green eyes hoping the game more thrilling but in reality the game was so boring. Sure they got the chance to do the hockey check at someone though so far their attempted to do the maneuver still was not that successful. The green eyes took a glance at the score board.
From the last time Cash had seen the board up to this moment, the score was still the same. Not a single thing was changed. The second year shake their head as they covered a yawn with their hand. At this point Cash rather sit in one of those boring History of Magic than doing something counterproductive like playing this game.
As the referee blow his whistle and the next round of the excruciating rather boring game called ice hockey commenced, Cash was ready to do the game although their enthusiasm were not as high as the first time they stepped into the ice.
The puck had been drop and just like the last time; Dealla, Kazuo and Henry were the one that fought to gained the possession of the black disk. At the end, Kazuo was the one that had control and the possession of the puck. "For Merlin's sake! How hard can it be?!"The young socialite grumbled under their breath.
"Gain some score, come on! This game become bored rather quickly. Seriously get your head in the game, guys!"Cash stated to anyone that close enough to hear what the purple haired said. Cash's head still pounding and their throat was still a bit sore it was because of the effect of Pei's Curse of the Bogies.
When the game done, Cash definitely will visit the Hospital Wing to asked for some remedy to made their cold go away. As Cash swipe away their runny nose from how cold it is (or perhaps it was because of the Bogie), The green eyes saw someone came at them. The red head beauty known as Lydia Cooper attempted to do the hockey check to the Beater.
But it is looked like the cold wind of winter get the better of her too as she proceeded to body check Cash, the green eyes managed easily evading her action. Good thing the green eyes managed to do so. Cash pretty certain if Lydia succeed doing what she intended to be done, the young socialite will have some bruise here and there on their body.
Hockey and Quidditch almost identical and had the same outcome. The purpose both of the game was to hurt other people and make the other person have bruises in some part or all of that person bodies or worst case some bloodied nose and broken bones. The green eyes was bored beyond belief.
They almost left the game in the middle of it. Then an opportunity arise. Cash was skates a bit far away to made their momentum. Once Cash was satisfied with the distance, the purple haired skates as fast as they could. It is time for them to returned the favor. With their force and speed, Cash was hoping what they will do success for once.
But alas, just like their previous attempted at body check someone; that maneuver did zilch, nada not or nothing go well according to the plan as their attempted turned into a fumbling hockey checks. One thing Cash know for sure, they are a decent Quidditch player but not for Hockey and Cash definitely will stick to the thing(s) they are good at.
