Damphires? That sounds Dangerous Open

The boy was curious. That's for sure. But as far as Nico could tell, there didn't seem to be any hostility in the way he spoke. It was harmless. The redhead couldn't help but softly let out a sigh of relief. 'It's nice to meet you, William.' A soft smile slid unto her lips. Maybe she could let her guard down a bit. So far, all of them just wanted to be taught. Educated. They had little to no biases towards Dhampirs. Or... Werewolves.

'I'm Nico.' She nodded her head once as she spoke. It could be seen as a small bow towards William. 'Sadly... There is a stigma surrounding dhampirs. They're pictured as cruel creatures who are out to eat other people. Maybe, they used to be that way. But today they really are trying their best to fit in. Eating food like... humans do. Finding things to replace blood. I-I'm sure of that.' Her ice blue eyes trailed off to the side for a moment. Many memories flooded her mind as she tried to get back to the present.

Thankfully, she did just so. And on time. Because another girl had taken notice of their conversation. Next to all the pale children she had met in her life, Nico was quite sure this specimen was one she'd remember for a lifetime. The only place she ever saw girls like her, were in magazines where they advertised tropical lands and beaches with crystal blue seas. There was also this certain TV-show where small children would be dressed up and get spray tanned for competitions. She found that show very ... strange.

Lightly shaking her head, Nico tried to stay focused. It would be rude to stare. Even though she looked like a spray tanned spoiled child, there was no telling that she actually was a spraytanned spoiled child.

'As... Paige said. Dhampirs.' It had been a while since Nico caught some glimpses of the Muggle world. Even though she was part-vampire, her human part made her experience Muggle London multiple times throughout her childhood. 'Are you familiar with those, per chance?' Nico could already imagine the answer but she didn't want to jump to conclusions. Give people a chance.

William nodded to what Paige said, letting out a small chuckle. It wasn't a humored laugh, but a laugh of understanding and relation. "You can never fully trust everything you read, because most things are biased one way or another, and it may not even be on purpose. Most of the time its just subconscious perspective."

He smiled back at Nico and returned her head-bow. He took note of what she said, but what he focused on the most was what she did when she stopped talking. He noticed her eyes showed suppressed memories of sorts. He could only guess with the subject, she either had an unpleasant experience with a Damphire, or she was one. If she was one he couldn't blame her for hiding it: it was perfectly understandable. But it was wrong to assume, so he just took note and decided to tread carefully on this subject from now on.

But before he could answer, his eyes caught on the latest addition to the conversation: a girl who looked like she came out magazine, and probably didn't smell much better. He didn't like being rude to people due to their appearance or attitude, but the way she looked and acted reminded him too much of people he was forced to hang out with back home. She looked like a rich brat who wore enough make up on to supply the Chinese army. He shook his head a little; he needed to stop. There was no reason to judge the girl the way he was: old habits die hard.

"Yeah..a little music would be nice, can't say that's the worst thing to lose due to coming here," he said in reply to her statement, but let the two other girls explain to the new one what they had actually been speaking of. He hoped his interest in the girls' conversation wasn't beginning to gather unwanted attention.
