Henry never minded the quiet,
actually the twelve year old enjoyed it most times having grown up where most days were spent either reading alone or exploring the woods by his house again alone. So sitting outside by one of hid favorite places at Hogwarts with Henry Llewellyn that he thinks is one of the coolest people he met was pretty good to Henry.

Slightly fiddling with the muggle camera hanging from his neck as the second test watched the two flobberworms digest the lecture before watching the one given to him to care form slid forward a bit before rest itself on the grass.

At that point Henry would turned away to meet Henry Llewellyn's eyes with a smile as he listened to his friend speak. Nodding a bit to his comment about the photo again with a wide smile on the Slytherin's face as he couldn't wait to develop the photo and show it to Henry Llewellyn tomorrow.

As the topic changed to dueling, Henry would nod again toward Henry Llewellyn's comment about the slug vomiting charm, it was indeed gross. However with his friends question about dueling spells, Henry would hold his camera down a bit and look Henry Llewellyn in the eyes with a smile as he thought over different dueling spells before speaking" the weirdest spell that I used in a duel is Curse of the Bogies which simulates you having a cold," another moment to think before the twelve year old spoke" however a few other spells that could be defined as weird are; the singing jinx, the bubble producing charm, and the sneezing hex."

Silence wasn’t exactly something Henry was used to. Having been raised with six older siblings made quiet moments few and far between. When it did get quiet, Henry tended to get restless. As it was now, he was fidgeting a little with the paper bag, rustling the top edge. He rolled it back and forth between his fingers as he watched the flobberworms. It was funny when they moved and ate. They were just really strange creatures in general.

What was nice about being outside with the flobberworms was spending something with K. The more time Henry spent with him, the more relaxed he felt around him. When he realized he had a small crush on K, it had been difficult to maintain his normal demeanor around him. Spending more time around him was good, though, because he was feeling himself falling back into the friends mindset around the older boy. It was still occasionally nerve wracking, but he enjoyed the conversations they had.

Even if they were about gross spells.

Henry listened as K explained a few of the weird spells he used for duelling. A few of them sounded kind of familiar. Henry was pretty sure he had heard Curse of the Bogies before. It was good to know defensive spells, in case something bad did happen, but some spells were just so bizarre. “I wonder how these spells came about. It’s so weird to think that someone was just like ‘you know what would be useful? A spell that makes someone spontaneously dance’.” This was in reference to Tarantallegra, one he had learned earlier that year. “I mean, other than with duelling, what’s the point of these spells?” Henry wouldn’t put it past some people to make spells for the fun of it, but these spells had such random effects.

Henry flashed a smile toward Henry Llewellyn before glancing back toward the flobberworm still fidgeting which the camera he was holding as the twelve year old only thought this time was fun and he got to spend more time with someone that he enjoyed their presence and considered a close friend; Henry Llewellyn.

Only thing was he wasn't that smart when it gave to love so he didn't really know that his friend has a crush on him and actually wouldn't even believe it if he did know...

The boy grew up with severe self esteem and self worth issues so at most times the twelve year old wouldn't have believed that someone could see him in a good way, let alone have a crush on him so he may have been a idiot with love but also there would be a good chance that if Henry was told about it then he wouldn't believe it... not to mention the boy is still figuring out his sexuality...

Henry listened to red speak and met his eyes as the second year smiled wider, glad to he discussing spells and dueling with his friend before nodding a bit and replying" they are weird, maybe they came about because someone wanted to pull a prank or trick with them?" Before listening to his next question and thinking a moment before the boy would speak" dueling definitely makes the most sense for them... but do they have other uses? Maybe defending yourself or pulling a prank?"

Despite the time of year, it was pretty nice outside and Henry was enjoying it. He usually preferred doing more than just sitting and talking, but there were at least the flobberworms to make it a little more entertaining. Still, it was occasionally nice to just sit and talk, so he was appreciating the opportunity. They didn’t talk a whole lot about their interests other than mischief, so it was cool to get to discuss other things.

“Maybe,” Henry mused, considering the reason the spells had come about. “I dunno, I guess I just assumed all spells came about for practical purposes, y’know?” He said, thinking about all the lessons they had where they learned about the invention of spells. There just seemed to be a necessity for something at the time the spell was created. Defending oneself was logical, but when Henry was in a dire situation, he wasn’t sure if he would think of the dancing feet spell first. As useful as it was to keep the person attacking him from doing anything.

Henry shifted in his spot and scanned their surroundings, taking in the nature. It felt good to get outside, sometimes, since the castle could be so stuffy. It was weird, with how big it was, that it could feel so restrictive. His home was often suffocating as well, what with so many people living in it. But outside, there was seemingly endless amounts of space. It was nice. Besides, fresh air was so much better than indoor air. It wasn’t often it happened, but Henry wasn’t sure where to take the conversation next. Perhaps he should grab some of the slime now.
