Waking up on a Saturday always felt like a blessing to Bailey. With the whole weekend open to her, she set out for breakfast which was in the Great Hall, as it usually was. On her way to the Great Hall, Bailey passed the Rehearsal room. Bailey remembered talking to Rachel Crook about jamming together - Bailey on the piano and Rachael on the Violin. This might happen one day soon, as they had planned when they met in the girls lavatory that fateful day.
Deciding that after she ate her breakfast and studied a little, she would practice the piano a little. With that Bailey sat down at the Ravenclaw table for a spot of breakfast. Fried eggs, bacon, biscuits, and some apple juice. Rather muggle-ish of her, but that was what Bailey was in the mood for.
Finishing off her juice, Bailey got up and on her way to the library she passed the Rehearsal Room. Deciding that putting off he practice wouldn't be beneficial, she walked inside and sat down at the piano bench.
With the opening cord of her favorite muggle song, Dear Theodosia by Lin-Manuel Miranda, Bailey instantly felt better. Her solders relaxed, and she lost herself in the music. A while later, Bailey paused to stretch her fingers, which were a little sore after playing.
Humming to herself, Bailey stretched her arms and played a few scales, to warm up a little more. It wouldn't do her much good after she had already been playing but it warmed up her fingers a little more.
And then....

Eliza had self decided to take a walk to the rehearsal room. She had been awake for... she looked around the room. When did I wake up?... She rolled her eyes. It had seemed like she'd been awake all night. Had she? She pulled her scarf on, buttoning up her robe. She walked out of the dorm, heading down the hall.

As she walked down the hall, she realized she didn't necessarily want breakfast. She walked down a few flights of stairs as she looked around at the many many paintings. She waved to a few.

"Hello there!" A woman in a green dress smiled. Eliza waved and walked down. She saw the door to the rehearsal room close. As she slowly stopped, she walked over to the entrance and peeked through the crack in the door. She heard someone humming, and quickly decided she wanted to go in and see this other child's talents.

Should I've brought my violin?... She opened the door slowly, looking at the girl on the Piano. She adjusted her glasses, walking in. She looked at her as the girl continued humming and warming her fingers. She didn't want to alarm her, nor did she want to.... well, stalk her. She watched the girl.

Dear Theodosia?! She smiled. I love that song!! She sat on the drum chair behind her, and looked at the girl, hopefully not too creepily.

Atlas had stayed up almost all night dreaming up fictional scenarios in her mind. She had thought that her constant daydreaming would have died down seeing as she was now an actual wizard living in a school for magic, but she had been wrong. Last night her mind followed an assassin with a tragic past and quite a romantic future.

Knowing she didn't have any plans for the day other than studying, Atlas wanted more than anything to continue thinking up the assassin's wild life. She slid out of bed and after doing the bare minimum to look presentable left the girls' dormitory.

The Hufflepuff common room was not too full and not too empty. Atlas assumed this was due to it being a Saturday and some kids deciding to stay in while others hung out outside or throughout the castle. She jogged down the steps and looked up at the common room's clock. "Dammit!" She cursed under her breath. Atlas knew that by this time the Great Hall would be practically empty and that eating alone would be extremely awkward. Instead, she made her way toward the Rehearsal room hoping someone was playing today. Atlas didn't play any instruments herself but loved quietly sitting in a corner or outside the room and listening to others play.

She hoped specifically that someone was playing the piano or the violin since it would fit perfectly with the image of her assassin in a cloak and with a bow and arrow fighting for her life. But any music would be a great start to the day.

Even before Atlas saw the door to the Rehearsal room she heard a beautiful melody that strangely felt nostalgic. It was as though she had heard it before but couldn't place a finger on from where. There was a certain urgency and passion in the music that made her want to know the true story behind the song. Was it a love song? A goodbye? Nevermind that, hearing that it was piano made her smile to herself. Her assassin was now doing weirdly intricate fighting moves that would no doubt be impossible to do in real life.

She walked up to the door and through it saw two girls: one with ginger hair, and the other with blond. The former was sitting on a drum chair listening as the latter played the piano. Atlas quietly opened the door, making sure it didn't squeak, and walked in. Not wanting to disturb them she slid down the wall, crisscrossed her legs, and tuned out everything except the sound of the piano as her mind wandered back to the assassin.

Eliza, who had been fixed on the girl at the piano, just noticed the two other girls. She was surprised when she looked at the girl with brown hair, she was closest to her. She waved a small hi, and looked back at the girl at the piano.

The other girl, the one with pink hair, had sat down and opened her flute case. Eliza looked around for an instrument she new how to play. Violin?... Drums?... Trumpet! She thought to herself, picking it up from the case.

She held a folded sheet of paper in her hand. As she picked up the trumpet, she placed the mouth piece into the instrument and held it up. She unfolded the music sheet and placed it on a music stand. Dear Theodosia. Heh She looked at the girl at the Piano, and played paired with her. They were playing side by side, and she smiled as she continued to play.

She looked at the others, and stopped for the rest, then played. This was fun. Eliza-- was having fun. She was enjoying herself. She'd need to get used to it. She persisted to play, blowing lightly, blowing hard. She kept going.

Eliza smiled, as she listened to Bailey's voice. It was so elegant. She continued to play, closing her eyes and playing with her whole heart. Never had she ever harmonized with another group of people so perfectly.

When the girl at the piano finished, Eliza set the trumpet on its stand and smiled, huffing and puffing from the intense blowing. She smiled as the girl at the piano introduced herself. Bailey- She thought. What a gorgeous name! She smiled.

"I'm- Eliza. Eliza Corrids." She smiled. "I know, its funny. Eliza, just like Eliza Schuyler," She laughed slightly. "Its nice to meet the lot of you. I don't get to talk to many of the other house members. Im a quiet introvert." Except for right now- She thought, taking off her robe and walking over to the nearby coat hanger.

"And your right. Tis is an elegant combo. Leslie Odom Jr. sang that song quite perfectly, if you ask me. Then again, no one asked." She laughed. "Sorry, Im a bit tipsy. I didn't get much sleep. I'll shut up now" She crossed her legs, sitting down on the drum seat again. She looked at the girl next to her.

"What's your name?" She asked, trying to make some conversation.

Atlas was lost in her thoughts, with her eyes closed, listening to the gorgeous sound of the piano. With every note, she got more lost in the music while the assassin gradually slipped her mind. The sound of the flute had yanked her out of her thoughts and back into the world. Had the other girl started playing? She didn't notice anyone else come in so it must have been her.

Opening her eyes she saw the girl with ginger hair wave at her. Softly smiling back Atlas took a closer look at the girl. She had dark brown strips mixed into her ginger hair and black glasses with a thick frame sitting on her nose. The girl broke eye contact and began looking around the room as if in search of something. An instrument maybe? Her thoughts were confirmed when the girl picked up a trumpet and started playing the same nostalgic melody.

Atlas finally noticed the third girl in the room. She was playing the flute and although she stood barely a couple of meters away her gaze seemed very distant. She wore a melancholy expression as if she hadn't been happy for a while. What had this girl gone through? Atlas had noticed, a while ago, that being a witch wasn't all fun and games. That a huge amount of her classmates had gone through things she couldn't even being to think about without tears forming in her eyes. At times it made her feel less than them, or unworthy of being here, since even though her life wasn't perfect all her family members were alive. Atlas would never admit to anyone that ever so often she felt a sting of jealously pass through her while looking at kids who had lost everything. Maybe if her parents were dead she would fit in more? After having these thoughts Atlas would scold herself for hours. Deep down she knew she was extremely thankful that her family was alive and well, and would never wish that type of pain upon herself, the one exception being if her hurt took away someone else's.

Hearing the girl at the piano start to sing, Atlas turned her head toward the sound. "I'll make a million mistakes, I'll make the world safe and sound for you! Will come of age with our young nation..." It was breathtaking. It sounded like both a love song and a goodbye. A goodbye that hasn't yet happened but will. Atlas rubbed her arms to try and get rid of the goosebumps that came with the song.

When the singing came to a stop and the girls stopped playing, the one at the piano spoke. "Ah. A bittersweet combo. Sweet and brassy, love and tears, work and play. All put to music." She turned around "Don't you think so?" Atlas felt as if the girl knew the story behind the song and when the ginger answered she realized they both did. Was it from a famous movie? A play? Is that why it felt nostalgic?

They introduced themselves and Bailey Glade and Eliza Corrids. And when Eliza turned to her Atlas took a couple of seconds to realize they were waiting for her name. "I'm Atlas" she said. "It's very nice to meet you both!" Atlas turned to the third girl, the one with the flute. "Oh and you too, you all play beautifully."
