A feeling of peace
The sun was high in the sky with a cool breeze blowing throughout the school. Instead of the normally cloudy or rainy day in Scotland during the month of March, it seemed like a rather good day to spend outside with friends.
A twelve year old boy dressed in a pair of second hand jeans, long gray shirt, and a faded greenish jacket with a messager type bag on his shoulder and a orange feline by his side step out onto the grass of the grounds at Hogwarts.
Henry Knight would have preferred to be in the library that day since he's there majority of everyday, which was a good thing so if friends needed to find him then they would just head to the library. A place that the boy spends almost all of his free time in, probably more than the common room that was.
But that day seemed too good to stay inside and his orange feline; Loki looked like he wanted to stretch his legs so the boy would have got up early and head to the great hall to eat breakfast. Since it was so early there wasn't many there and the second year couldn't find his best friend; Logan Baird there either which meant he was left eating alone.
Although it was rather quick before the boy wild find his way to the grounds and soon the great lake. Where the second year would walk long the shore before coming to a halt by a large leafy oak type tree where its branches hung over the water's edge.
If he wasn't at the library then he was here, at times the boy could be predictable probably why friends can find him so easily.
Henry would sit with his back leaning against the tree and facing the great lake, placing his bag neatly at his feet as he took out a advanced charms books and begun to read while Loki sat in front of him looking out until the feline would see someone familiar approaching and run to greet them.

Logan had decided that even though it was March, it was a perfect day to spend some time at the Great Lake. The weather was still cool, but there wasn't any rain, which brought a smile to the second years face. She had decided to wear a faded pair of jeans along with an off white long sleeved blouse with flowers. It was a very springy outfit, but Logan thought it was perfect for the day.
Sherlock was trotting along the Hufflepuff's feet, chasing after random leaves that were still on the ground every once in a while, only to come right back to his owner. Logan glanced down at the cat with a laugh, he was just over a year old at this point and it was easy to tell he had matured greatly since she had gotten him. "Are you having fun Sherlock?" the girl questioned the cat with a laugh as he took off after another leaf.
A blur of orange is the first thing that caught Logan's attention as she crouched down to bet the mischievous cat that was now at her feet. "Well hello Loki," she giggled as she finally noticed the owner of said cat sitting against one of the many trees along the lake. She only shook her head with a smile as she approached, "Are you having a nice day Charm?"

Henry would stare at the ripping of the water ahead, taking slow steady breaths as thoughts filter his mind and past memories became clear.
Eyes closed but visuals of past events filter throughout his mind as the twelve year old was remembering events that happened a few weeks to months back.
Meetings Alexa Mackenzie and Henry Llewellyn at the Valentine's day errand which was awkward yet also included a few other odd feelings that the second year couldn't put his finger on.
Entering the dungeons with Henry Llewellyn and other Slytherin's after thinking a few strange things have happen there with the scent of blood coming from the walls.
Finding out that his father was engaged to marry Pearl Moon the upcoming summer at the end if Christmas break which would make him and Rose step siblings.
Silence surrounded the twelve year old and after a moment he would open his eyes again and take a breath staring at the ripping water in front of him.
Loki however would rubbed on Logan's legs clearly happy to see her but not purring before the feline would run after Sherlock, flickering his tail from side to side.
Henry would look up at the sound of her voice with a smile before replying" sure I guess and you robin?" before moving his bag a bit out of the way so the girl had room.

Logan dropped herself down beside her best friend, only slightly concerned about getting her off-white shirt dirty, it would wash out. The girl looked at the boy with a grin on her face as she began to explain how her day had been so far. "It has been a very nice day so far. It isn't too cold, nor is it too hot. I went for a run this morning since I am actually able to do that now, I need to make sure I am in shape for dance and competitions once I get home." The girl rambled on as she glanced over to notice Sherlock climbing up a nearby tree, she really hoped the cat did not get himself stuck, as she did not want to have to get him out.
The girl had finally got her sleep schedule to return to normal after the attack on her common room in the beginning of the year. She was no longer woken up at the sudden noises coming from the common room or the creaking of the floors in the dorm, she actually had energy for once. "So what are your plans for the day Charm, other than sitting out here to avoid pretty much everyone?" The girl tilted her head to the side, allowing her long hair to fall over her shoulder and almost touch the ground, a dorky grin was present on the girls face.

Henry watched as she sat besides him and again he moved the bag out of her way before turning to meet her eyes as she spoke.
Henry couldn't help but smile as his best friend rambled on about different aspects about that day; how the weather was and what she did before and why. It comforted the second year to just listen and stay silent, speaking wasn't his favorite actively so this was amazing to the boy.
However when Logan did finish, Henry would replie" sounded like your day was quite full today robin," before his eyes followed hers and he saw Loki jumping up the branches of a nearby tree while also meowing toward Sherlock.
Henry laughed a bit at his feline, as Loki climbed up the tree occasionally finding himself stuck at certain points before turning back toward Logan when he heard her comment and replied playfully" so you figured out my goal, to hide away from the rest and rest," before he would think for a moment and continued again" head to the library after this and probably read then come back here and look for magical or non magical creatures," okay that did sound a little bit pathetic as the twelve year old laughed" go ahead and laugh, I know it sounds pathetic but I'm enjoying avoiding the dungeons and a situation like last time."

Logan laughed a little at Henry, not because he was pathetic, but because her plans were very similar to his own. "The dungeons are weird, I don't understand why you would go down their willingly." The Hufflepuff scrunched her face up at the thought of the dungeons. She had ventured down their once on one of her nightly walks but left after only a couple of minutes. Quickly the girl glanced over as she heard the crunch of some old leaves and laughed a bit at the sight of Sherlock rolling around in them. At least he was having fun at the moment.
"At least we are mostly safe at the moment," she told the boy with a grin on her face, "The Hufflepuff common room wasn't lit on fire this week, so it must be a good week." It was only Sunday, so the chances of something catching fire in the common room was highly likely, but Logan wanted to think that it was going to be a good week.
"So your plans are to go to the library and then look for creatures. Sounds like fun," she grinned at the boy as she thought about maybe going and practicing some potions, although she wasn't sure if she was going to just yet. She also thought about practicing for dueling, but wasn't sure if she was prepared to embarrass herself.

Henry playful nudged Logan's shoulder with his as he replied" because I would perfer to sleep in my dormitory than the library," Henry smiled a bit as always felt his spirits rise when he was with girl. There was just something about her being with him that no matter that situation everything seemed just better or had a better outlook when he was with her.
Henry then dramatically leaned against his best friend as he spoke" I still think their trying to kill off the Slytherin's since our common room is position right in the dungeons where a hag and other things have been rumour to be," smiling a bit as the boy took his position back against the tree as he watched Loki bended down before leaping up with his hind legs and playful ponceing on Sherlock and then running off a few steps away flickering his tail.
Henry eyed his best friend when he heard words before brushing a strand of hair from his face as he spoke" it's always a good week when no hufflepuff's are caught on fire," Henry then lightly nudged the girl before continuing" and I don't you need to visit the hospital wing to check if your there." Henry smiled toward her almost letting her know that he'll always be there for her and he truly did care for the girl, sometimes he saw her more like a sister than anything else.
"But I'm started to get the feeling that safety doesn't exist at Hogwarts, " Henry spoke smiling toward Logan before gazing back at the two felines as Loki slid across a few leafs as the cat attempted to bat at them.
"By fun, do you mean pathetic Robin," Henry replied toward his best friend before asking" what's your plans for today, Robin?"

"Hey, the library is a wonderful place to fall asleep in when there are very few people there." She defended, before stopping with wide eyes. She had just admitted to having fallen asleep in the library before. Too late now.
Logan remembered hearing something about a hag and nodded at the memory of the staff and students being attacked. It was a strange year. "I am pretty sure the common rooms were located there before the hags were, but at this point you never know." Logan thought she knew a lot about Hogwarts, but as time went on she was learning new things constantly.
The Hufflepuff only rolled her eyes as she shoved Henry's shoulder with her own. "I will have you know that I have not caught on fire yet, been blinded by smoke and attack by random hands is a different story though." Logan at this point was just admitting everything. She assumed Henry knew about the attack on Hufflepuff in the beginning of the new year, but she hadn't told him that she had been blinded and almost pulled down by the hands. All well, all she could do at this point was to play it off like it was nothing. "I am perfectly fine on my own. Mostly."
The brunette thought about what her plans were for the day. She didn't have much that she wanted to do, but she would maybe go for a walk with Sherlock around the grounds for a bit before finishing up some work for the week. "Not much really," she said with a shrug of her shoulders, "I might go for a walk around the grounds before finishing up some work this week. Aunt Hannah sent me the written out copy of choreography for dance this summer, so I might read over that and practice."

"I agree, the library is a nice spot to fall asleep in especially in the aisles where no one really goes," Henry replied remembering a few times where he fell asleep surrounded by books which was actually felt quite nice to the second year. Anyway Logan admitted that she fell asleep in the library a few times so he figured he should to.
Henry would playfully roll his eyes as his best friend with a bit of a laugh and grin as he replied" I didn't think there were any hags at Hogwarts either, my brother always talked about the school being safe but now I'm started to think that they want Slytherin's to die," the boy would brush a few stands of hair from his eyes and smile toward the girl. He always felt comfortable around the girl and always felt his attitude brighter up when he always around her probably why he preferred hanging out with her than to others.
Henry felt Logan shoulder's against his and heard her words describing the events that happened to her when the hufflepuff common room was recently attacked, Henry then gave her a smile and started to list out with his fingers as he spoke" is it wrong that I'm starting to see that has normal Robin? But at least you made it out okay," giving his best friend a smile before counting off with his fingers as he spoke" a intruder wasn't in the dungeons close by my common room, I didn't smell blood in the area where I was and kept on going further in, students didn't break their legs and were attacked either," that night was a strange on for sure and it reminded Henry why he avoided the slytherin common room.
The boy would nudge the girl's shoulder with his own as he replied to her comment, " sure your find on your own Robin, that's why I'm here also to make sure you survive till our seventh year," sharing a smile with her before looking toward his orange feline batting at Logan's cat paws and jumping from spot to spot trying to get him to play.
The boy leaned against his best friend's shoulders as his eyes drifted toward the ripping water of the great lake, one of the only benefits of the slytherin common room is that they could see the giant squid every once and a while.
When he heard Logan's voice, he would listened carefully to her but continued learning aginest her shoulders, as the boy nodded before replying" what work do you have to do? Perhaps we could finish together? I still have to add a extra six inches to my history of magic essay and add a few details to my potions essay," the boy remembered his best friend did dance as he spoke to her, " your going to do amazing with the choreography robin like your did last summer holiday and if you want any music you can always ask."

At the mention of Henry being there to keep her alive until their seventh year, the girl laughed. "Oh we are both doomed," she giggled, "but I will make sure to keep you alive until we graduate. No promises after that though, sorry." It amused Logan that they were trusting their lives with the other, but it also made her feel extremely lucky to have a friend like him.
Logan glanced over to see Loki attempting to play with Sherlock, and in the blink of an eye the grey cat had leapt at Loki and taken off into the trees around them. The Hufflepuff only rolled her eyes and laughed at the cat as she felt Henry lay his head on her shoulder. It was peaceful out by the great lake, and Logan loved it.
At the mention of the work she needed to do, Logan had to think for a second. "Transfiguration and DADA. I did potions first," she told the boy with a grin as she glanced down at him. The choreography came up next in her thoughts. She had music picked out for this recital, but she had a second one right before returning to school that she had to choreograph herself. "I might take you up on that offer for the music." She said as she leant her head against the boy's on her shoulder, looking across the lake. "I have to choreograph a dance for my second recital in August, so I would need music to go with it."
