Voices in the Bathroom
It was a rainy day in November. Florence had now been on the school for about a month. And she did the same thing like she used to do when she was home. She sat mostly for herself reading somewhere when it was a break from the lessons. She sat in the girls dormintry alone reading, sometimees she sat in the library or sometimes outside under the big oak. But today it was a rainy day so if Florence didnt want to catch a cold or something or get her books destroyed. And she felt she couldnt sit in the dormitry today. Beacuse some girl had decided to throw a party with some of the other girls. And Florence didnt want to join them to be honest either. And the library wasnt a good space today either. When the debate team had decided to sit there and have their meeting of the month.
So Florence did decide to go somewhere else and ended up in one of the abanoded toilets. She sat down on the floor and looked around at the place. It was very dusty and some of the mirrors were broken. Florence wondered what had happend to the place. And why someone didnt use the toilets anymore. Beacuse they were fully fuctional what she understood. She took up one of her books and started reading. But after a while she ended beacuse she couldnt concentrate beacuse of the dripping from one of the cranes. She looked at it a bit angry. Why couldnt there be quiet somewhere.
Then after a while she raised up and went forward to one of the windows and saw the rain stream down outside. And she started to think of a song and a melody that she used to sing at when it was raining. She had first heard it at the radio when she was young. And then whenever it was raining her dad used to sing it. Or just croon the melody. Florence liked to sing, but mostly to herself so no one could hear. She was quite ashamed over singing. Her dad once heard her when she was sining in her room one evening and came in with tears in his eyes and said that she sounded excatly like his grandmother did. And she had such a beautiful voice. So Florence guess she had some talent but she was quite afraid of showing it to the world and to other people. She closed her eyes and started singing.
"Oh, I hear, hear the echo of your drums, It’s in your hands, let the rain dance ,I feel, feel the power of your song, It’s in your call, let the rain fall. Make it rain, make it rain, rainmaker. Make it rain, make it rain, rainmaker.

Voices in the Bathroom
@Florence Ainsworth Hex: #000BBFThe rain pounded down from the cloud-filled sky, streaking the windows and soaking everything in sight. Ashley was restless. She needed to go somewhere, to do something. She sighed and ran her fingers through her messy red hair, which was growing frizzy from all the moisture in the air, and looked up from her book. She could usually spend hours upon hours reading and not be bored, but not today. Ashley pulled herself up from the comfy chair she had been sitting on in the Common Room, grabbed her book, threw on a turquoise hat and infinity scarf (it was cold!), and walked out the door. The castle was buzzing with life despite the dreary weather. Ashley walked down flight after flight of stairs, not really knowing exactly where she was going. Eventually, she reached an area that seemed relatively quiet, a room on the second floor. She had never been in that particular area before, so, not knowing what to expect, Ashley slowly reached out, grasped the cold door handle in her fingers, and twisted. The door swung open with an audible creak. Ashley shivered. The room appeared to be a bathroom, or at least, it used to be. The walls and crevices in the large, dank space were filled with ancient spiderwebs, and the mirrors were covered in layers of grime and large cracks. Ashley took a tentative step in. The sinks were coated in rust, and the toilets looked like they might actually crumble at any given moment. The whole room was illuminated only by the weak rays of light filtering dimly through the dirty windows.Ashley's brow furrowed. Why was this room abandoned? Had something . . . . happened there? She shuddered and turned back towards the door. And that's when she heard it. A melodious voice, coming from somewhere across the room. Someone was singing. The voice was feminine, and it sounded quite young, someone of Ashley's own age, perhaps. Ashley pushed her glasses up on the bridge of her nose and walked towards the voice. Her boots echoed on the cracked stone floors."Hello?" Ashley called out quietly. "Is anyone there?"

Voices in the Bathroom
Florence continued a singing the melodic song. She liked thee sound of it. And while she was singing she could hear her dads voice singing it too with her. In her head they sounded really good together. And she smiled to herslef while she was imagnie that her dad sang with her. Then she stopeed beacuse she suddenly heard a voice.
Florence face turned red, had it sound so bad that the principal or someething had send someone over to give her detention for singing? That she disturbed other pupils around the school. But then it came to Florence mind that the case might have beeen something else. Like maybe there was someone that was looking for peace like she had did? Should she answer the voice? Or should she wait for the voice to found her.
Florence took a deep breath. And had decided to answer the voice. Sometime you have to go against your fears. Florence that was very like shy talking to new people and got very anxious around new people didnt really like what she had decided to do. She had decided to answer the voice. It was now or never she said to herself. And she did it. "Hello, In here!"
