Meeting Yet Again.

Interacting with @Haley Rose
Normaly, Adelaide used the library as some kind of safe space, were she could just grab a good book and sit down in a quite corner to enjoy a few hours of peace and quite. Away from all those loud first years running around and causing havoc. But today, sitting at a little table between those high shelves didnt even remotely relax her. Turning yet another page of the heavy and dusty book she had picked for her History of magic essay, Adelaide sighed. She had wasted most of her free afternoon trying to write down something acceptable for her essay but hasn't even been able to complete half of it.

All she really wanted to do, was grab an acctually interesting book and sit down under one of the trees surrounding the Black Lake to read. The weather had become much warmer in the last week and she wanted to enjoy those first signs of spring. But no. This essay was due tomorrow and Adelaide couldnt risk getting a bad grade just because she wanted to relax in the sun.

Reading the same sentence two times over, Adelaide groaned and dropped her head onto the table. She really wished, she had a friend that was acctually good in History and could help her. But none of her friends were even slightly interested in the topic and would'nt be of much help to her.

Hearing some loud noises down the aisle she was sitting in, Adelaide slowly raised her head to glare at the intruder that dared to disturbe her self-pity-party. But when she realised who it was, her lips slowly turned up into a smile. It was the little Griffindore she had met a short while ago and the girl had yet again dropped all the books she had carried just a second ago.

Adelaide giggled, when the other girl let out a silent curse under her breath, and raised from her seat to help her pick up the fallen books. "We really have to stop meeting like this." She said while smiling at the shocked expression on the other girls face. "My back is really gonna hurt if I have to pick up the books you drop all the time" She said, handing her back some books she picked up. "You are not by chance any good in History of Magic are you?"

Haley often found herself back at the library. Not only because she loves books, lately much more often because she had homework to do. It had been a long time since Haley had sat alone in the library, and as she slammed the heavy book lying on the table in front of her, she let the air out of her lungs loudly and leaned back in her chair. Her eyes wandered outside through the large windows and she missed the sun's rays on her skin. How she would love to grab one of her favorite books and sit outside somewhere and read. But today she spent this day in the library doing a bunch of homework.

But it didn't help, she had to finish today and so she bent over the table again and started with the last task for today. Between the quiet murmuring, the turning of pages and the soft scratching as Haley wrote with her quill on the parchment, it was quiet around her. It was as if she had tuned out everything around her, and that suited her just fine. She was able to concentrate better than she had in a long time and after half an hour she put her quill down and was satisfied with her performance. Done for today, she thought to herself, and began to pack everything into her bag and stack the books.

She picked up the stack of books in her arms and for a brief moment her eyes widened at the weight. Barely seeing where she was going, she hoped she wouldn't run into anyone and without further incident she arrived at the shelf she was looking for a few steps later. But just as she was rejoicing that no mishap had happened to her, the stack of books lost its balance and toppled off her arm. "Oh come on, really?" cursed Haley, rolling her eyes.

Just as she was about to pick up the books a voice made her aware that the incident had not gone unseen. Astonished, she looked up from the floor and saw a familiar face smiling at her. "I guess I have to admit to myself that this is not a good ploy." Haley laughed, now smiling at Adelaide as well. As luck would have it, the two had met before, only that time it was outside where Haley dropped her books.

"I forgot you were so old already." Haley joked, winking at her, "I hereby promise your back that I'll try not to drop the books around you anymore." By now, the two of them had picked up all the books and Haley began to arrange them on the shelves.

"Oh, I am." she answered to her question. In fact, Haley was good at every subject. In one more than the other but basically she performed well in all of them. Even though she didn't like every subject. But Haley was in her first year and the Slytherin girl was already in her second. She wasn't sure if her knowledge would be enough to help her, if that was what she was getting at. "Why do you ask?" she now inquired, turning to Adelaide now that she had all the books stowed away.
