It seemed as if the duel had gotten to an almost stable moment; despite both Raine and Alexander suffering the dreadful consequences of the Curse of the Bogies, the atmosphere kept being full of anticipation, as the other students that were watching the duel kept their attention on the three duellists.
As for spells, this round wasn't that full of it, just like the one before. Alexander had cast yet again a powerful Flipendo at Lamik, but the young Gryffindor still had no intention of getting hit by the other student; his feet were quick, and he easily dodged out of the way of the charm, almost as if it was the most natural thing for him to do.
As the two of them were busy firing spells and avoiding them, Lydia noticed that Raine was still without her wand; perhaps she had lost sight of it again, or maybe her head was getting too dizzy, her cold and fever too strong for her to attempt to retrieve it already. She knew that as the moderator Lydia couldn't support any of the two teams, but seeing how the curse was affecting the Gryffindor girl, well- she couldn't help but feel sorry for her. If the duel would have gone on for still quite some time, the Hufflepuff Captain had the feeling that Raine didn't have much time before fainting and leaving her teammate alone.

Raine sucked her teeth as stomped over to her wand that was kicked farther away from her as she moved to get it. By whom, she didn't dare say nor did she care why it was done, but she was tired. This whole spell making her sick and her feeling useless again to her partner just put her entirely off of this club altogether. She would stick with it though as she wouldn't let her partner down. But she was definitely going to be having some words with someone once she left the hospital wing.

Sweat began to pool around Alex's head, thick droplets gathering. Part of it was due to the exercise, part due to excitement. But Alex knew that the majority of them came from the curse that he was under. He could just feel a near-constant hammering on his head as he tried to hit the slippery Gryffindor. With the key word being 'try'. For he hadn't hit him once since the lion started to actively dodge.Mentions: @Lamik Fillestar
Alexander frowned, it seemed that Lamik was still in a somewhat decent conditions. And depending on how Raine looked, as well as what his senses were telling him. He was soon going to reach the point of no return. That no matter how many accurate he was, Lamik would be able to wither any blows before he was brought low by the Curse of the Boogies.
But he had to push through. He could never give up. There could be only victory, or making your enemies pay dearly for any victory. There was no other alternative, for one thing because the captain would have words with him if he gave up. But other than that it was a matter of principle. When the moment of confrontation came, he could not be found wanting and just giving up. He had to give his all.
Thus Alexander grit his teeth and ignoring the drumming sensation and the quickly rising temperature of his forehead.

• If a player successfully casts a spell at a part-Human opponent, they get +1 Accuracy if they attack and +1 Evasion if they're being attacked. This doesn't give any IC knowledge of the opponent's race or talent unless found out in advance or revealed during the duel.
Evasive Maneuvers:
• When a spell was successfully cast at a player with Evasive Manoeuvres, a 1d10 roll is performed prior to Accuracy vs Evasion roll to determine whether the spell will be auto-dodged (roll 10). The Accuracy vs Evasion roll will not be needed in case of success.
• The auto-dodge chance can stack only to 20% from any number of sources and in this case 9 or 10 would be considered a success.

Lamik dodged the spell sent his way once again, a sigh of relief coming out of his mouth as soon as he realized that he was still alright. From the looks of things, Alexander still was close to collapse. Unfortunately, after risking a glance to the side, Lamik realized that so was Raine. No matter- he'd make sure to cheer her up in the hospital wing once they had won. In his mind, the outcome was now nearly a certainty.

Things in this round went pretty much the same way as they did in the previous one, with one exception. After finally spotting her wand again, Raine reached for it and the precious wooden wand was safe in her hand; she was able to cast spells again, even though Lydia had to admit that the Gryffindor girl looked anything but fine. The curse of the Bogies was getting stronger and stronger, and the young duellist seemed quite close to fainting. Because of this Lydia kept her attention high, in order to stop the duel as quickly as possible once Raine will faint.
Alexander seemed pretty focused on hitting Lamik with his Flipendo, but the Gryffindor student had absolutely no intention of letting that happen. Once again the Slytherin boy cast his spell and, just like in the previous round, Lamik easily dodged the attack. Maybe it was Lamik's exceptional abilities at dodging, or maybe it was the Curse of the Bogies that was gettin the best of Alexander -or perhaps a mix of the two- but it didn't matter, cause in the end the Gryffindor boy still finished this round without taking any damage.

It was getting harder to breathe. Her chest felt constricted as she bent down to pick up her wand and even that took much from her energy reserves. Staggering, Raine braced herself and pointed her wand at their opponent. She wished she could have done more; for herself and for Lamik. She was lucky enough to cast the Bogies spell at Alex to make him suffer as she was, but she also felt bad for the kid as she knew very well what symptoms he must be going through. These Flu-like symptoms were nothing to sneeze at and Raine hated it immensely.
But her team needed to win.
With her head seemingly filled with cotton, Raine called out the spell that she hoped would hit its target.

Another successful dodge! Lamik couldn't contain a grin from breaking out across his face. His opponent was clearly getting weaker and weaker, and knowing the curse inflicted upon him it was only a matter of time before he wouldn't be able to continue fighting. "Hang in their Raine!" He called out, noticing how terrible she looked. "It's our duel!"

Alexander's headache was just getting worse. It fels as if a series of hammers were banging on Alex's head. Distracting him and preventing him from actually hitting the dang nimble Gryffindor. Who just looked so smug as well, it was annoying. He knew that the blonde Gryffindor knew that he was about to go at any moment. But at least Raine was going to suffer the same fate soon, as she looked extremely pale, ready to keel over at any moment.Mentions: @Lamik Fillestar and @Raine Sage
But the fact remained, the chances of winning were infinitely small. And somehow, that seemed to excite him. Even with his demise close, he could feel the adrenaline pulsing through him. Urging him to fight with everything he had. Urging him to 'survive' And who was he to deny his own instincts ?
Thus with a vicious grin, Alexander pushed on. Even as the hammers kept pounding.

It looked like all of Alexander's efforts had finally paid off. After a series of rounds in which Lamik kept escaping his Flipendos, the young Slytherin boy finally managed to cast and hit the Gryffindor duellist. No matter how quick Lamik was, the spell still hit him on his shoulder, definitely leaving a bruise there. However, things weren't looking too good for Alexander: the curse of the Bogies was getting worse, and the boy's healt was worse and worse each round, the mucus wasn't helping with the nause, and the fever started getting high.
With her wand finally in her hands, Raine didn't lose any time before casting one last spell, just before the Curse of the Bogies completed its purpose. She raised her wand and pointed it at Alexander, her disarming charm flying towards the Slytherin boy. However, the young boy had no intention of getting hit, and he managed to avoid the spell. Lydia could see the exact moment when all the effort of staying up and fighting took the best of Raine. The young Gryffindor fell down onto the ground, and the Hufflepuff Captain quickly jumped up and stopped the duel.
Once the healers had moved the unconscious girl, Lydia looked at the remaining duellists and nodded. "You can continue now, good luck!" she said, and stepped down from the platform. The duel was now one against one, and anything could still happen.

Sweat was going down Alexander's brow in torrents. Torrents neverending as the physical exertion grew and grew. But he could not give up. Thus he pointed his wand at Lamik, concentration at the very edge of what he could and loudly shouted. "FLIPENDO !!!" and to his surprise, he had calculated the trajectory perfectly and Lamik stumbled. Falling into the blast of the spell.Mentions: @Lamik Fillestar, @Raine Sage and @Ileen Knight
Then, from the edge of his vision he could see a flash of movement and quickly jumped out of the way. Just in time to see the telltale signs of an expelliarmus fly past him. He looked in the direction of Raine, and saw that she was now down and unconcious. Which led the referee to get them to take a quick break. He then saw how Raine was dragged off the stage, just like poor Ileen.
At the thought Alexander had to grimace. He hoped she was recovering alright, she had been hit hard.
Now having a very short moment to breathe, Alexander muttered with an incredulous tone. "I actually hit him." Then his vicious smile returned. Well, if he could hit the boy once he could hit him twice more. It was unlikely, but the chance was there.
