Private to the Arts and Orchestral Club - first meeting. Mostly introductions, but feel free to bring art supplies or an instrument!
Hello everyone!
Our first meeting will be in the unused classroom on the second floor! Be prepared to introduce yourselves! Snacks and drinks will be provided. If you would like to bring anything, feel free to!
- Koko and RubyIt was finally the day.
Finally, the Arts and Orchestral Club was a thing. Koko had revamped it along with her friend Ruby, and it seemed that things were going well. It was a bit of a side project for her - Quidditch, naturally, was her favourite thing to do, and it took up quite a bit of her brain's space. After that there were her prefect duties, which were greater in importance than Quidditch but could be a bit worrisome. Koko also wrote for the Hogwarts Headliner, something she honestly questioned - she had never been the best writer, but she had decided to apply, and she'd gotten accepted, to her surprise.
Still, though, she thought it was important for artists of any medium to have a place to be, and once she was handed ownership of the club, she had begun to ponder how to make sure everyone felt respected. The easiest idea she could think of was telling everyone to respect one another, but that in itself provided difficulties - how could students respect their peers if they knew nothing about them?
And so that was the entire point of this meeting. Koko had set up desks and tables for everyone. A desk in the centre of the room had two stacks of parchment on it. One stack of parchment was labelled 'introductory things', and in the stack, each piece had things like 'name', 'age' and 'pronouns' written out in slightly messy (but legible) print. There were other sections students could fill out, such as their favourite colours and their hobbies, and towards the bottom, they could add things that weren't specified in the form.
In the other stack, labelled 'today's activity', which was the most creative Koko could get, every piece of parchment was blank. This was for a reason. Koko hoped they'd like what she had in mind.
She began to pace the classroom, thoughts and worries running through her mind. Her cat was sleeping on her bed, not here, but she wondered if he would have liked to come. After all, Jax was fairly social - but if anyone brought and decided to play an instrument during any time left over, he would likely be spooked.
Finally, Koko stepped towards the back of the room, hoping everything was done correctly. There was a banner on the wall opposite the door that read, 'Welcome, artists and instrumentalists!' and had sketches of paintbrushes and violin bows on it. The classroom wasn't overly decorated for the club meeting, but she figured that the club would be what its members made it, not what she made it.
And they would make it something wonderful, she was sure of it.

Calypso walked down a hallway on the second floor, arms full of her sketchbook, pencils, and sculpting clay. Calypso would have brought her violin too, except that she didn't exactly feel comfortable playing in front of people without the camouflage of an orchestra yet. She had only been playing for a few years, after all.
She found the right door and tentatively stepped into the empty classroom. Well, the classroom was mostly empty. There was an anxious-looking blonde-haired Slytherin Prefect fixing some decorations at the back of the room. At the room's center sat a desk holding stacks of paper, and on the far wall a banner read: Welcome, Artists and Instrumentalists. Clearly a lot of work had gone into this first meeting.Calypso must have been the first to arrive, as this girl seemed to be the club's leader. Calwalked over to her. "Hello. I'm Calypso. Calypso Starling. I'm here for the Arts and Orchestral Society?" The Prefect greeted her and introduced herself as Koko Riddle. After the introductions, Calypso went over to the desk and filled out a form with basic information such as her name, age, year, house, pronouns, and also some get-to-know you stuff like interests, hobbies, and favorite colors. When she was done, she picked up a sheet labeled Today's Activity, and took a seat at one of the desks that had been set up for club members.
A few minutes later, the door swung open and someone else walked in.

As per usual, Nico hadn't slept much. Days felt like ages and the nightmares she had grew and faded in intensity. They had become unpredictable and she found it hard to put much energy in things. But even so, she was determined to meet new people today. With her flawless make-up skills, she looked once more like a beautiful doll with vibrant red hair. It had grown again, now reaching her lower back. The ice blue of her eyes popped next to the bright red colour of her eyeliner. A red cat eyeliner decorating the corners of her gaze.
Dressed in a black turtleneck sweater and black waisthigh jeans. Some black combatboots next to that, yet those hid her vibrant blue shark socks that gently hugged her feet. An unseen sense of comfort, invisible to her peers eyes.
She felt abit anxious though. With the sense of home that she no longer felt within the quarters of Slytherin, the redhead hoped that maybe she could find some more people to connect with. As another way to maybe have an excuse to avoid the ever lingering danger that loomed in her common and dorm rooms. Could she... trust others?
She walked in with a confident stride that hid her sense of feeling... seen. There were only two other students there. One she knew as Koko, her colleague and someone else she hadn't seen before. Taking in a deep breath, Nico decided to approach the one who wasn't a stranger to her. She nodded as a greeting and let her eyes glide across the room. There wasn't much decoration but everything that was needed for a club was present. Some papers and labels to make introductions easier... Koko and Ruby did good. A faint smile tugged on her lips as her arms crossed in a rather (at first glance) relaxed fashion. 'You did good.' The dhampir was one of little words. Always has been. Yet, Koko looked very nervous, just like when they first actually talked to one another. The redhead still wasn't sure how to the blonde felt towards her. Fear? Disgust? Since it had been so long and Nico was still allowed to come attend the club, it must be a sign that things...were good, right? Right?
Hesitant to approach the other student, Nico decided to stay back and hang near Koko for abit before taking a seat at a desk. A restless sense of selfdoubt hung over her neck and for no reason in particular, she felt that she had to be careful. Cautious. Vigilant.
Leaning against one of the tables near the back where all the papers were to be found, Nico scanned the room. Waiting for others to arrive and to get a better sense of who these peers were.

This was something Elena Jangleton had been looking forward for a while now. This club was one of the quiet places where she could explore her hidden talent and it was the perfect setting really. She had wasted no time in getting ready throwing on a Gryffindor sweater and pulling her hair back in a ponytail before kneeling down in front of her trunk to pull out an object that was probably more aged than her. The last she had even used the thing had been at the talent show last year but it still worked. The Gryffindor rarely got a chance to play every now and then but when she could in her free time, she opted to hammer out a few tunes on the battered old violin which brought her solace in these turbulent times dusting it off with a cleaning cloth before carefully zipping it into a black bag made for it slinging the thing over her shoulder.
It wasn't too far of a walk as she found the right room slipping into the classroom which already had a few people mingling about, none whom she was familar with but nevertheless, Elena spared them all a smile. Her gaze wandered over the rows of desk and chairs that littered the room as if trying to choose where to sit. She was more of an introverted person so shrugging her shoulders, Elena and her trustworthy violin navigated towards the rear dropping her instrument bag on the floor with a gentle thud as the girl's slender figure slipped into the chair all too keen to get started with this intial meeting. This had been something she had been wanting to get off the ground for all too long and the chance to express her talents in a small public display was a chance she would not pass up. If anything, her instrumental skills had gone up a notch since then as she took in the layout of the room.
The little banner was a nice touch, her eyes scanning over the text secretly happy spotting the violin bow decorations on it. They had really transformed this place and that only made her more eager and secure in the thought that this little group of theirs was going to get jumpstarted here soon. She was keen to see who else would show up, there were a lot of people Elena knew who had a taste for the more cultural aspects of life and something like this would suit them well. Maybe she should have prodded Adlai into coming, she seemed like the creative type from the stuffed hippo gift the Hufflepuff had given Elena. The brunette filed that away for later reference, her gaze resting on the doorway waiting to see who else would be joining their little band of musicans and artists.

Rumors/gossip you might have heard about Henry ~ReducioHenry Knight
is overall a quiet and background type of guy which means there aren't many rumours about him going around but there are still a few that are spread around the school about him. Maybe you heard that he's a know it all or a geek/nerd that is at the top of all his classes in his year. Maybe you seen/heard that his hand is always up in any class and the boy always has the answer for questions pertaining to academics. Or maybe you heard that the boy is a sight for eyes with his dreamy blue eyes and perfectly tan skin. Maybe you saw him in the corridors and like most think that the boy is quite cute or had such beautiful features. Or maybe you heard about the rather popular rumour that the boy teaches himself advanced lessons and learns from his older brother during the summer holiday. Then there's the true and popular gossip that Henry Knight is a Duelist on the slytherin dueling team which leads to the rather popular rumours that the boy knows a few advanced but dark spells and jinxes.
The twelve year old isn't one for social interactions or making new friends but after running into Gia again and having a remind almost of how much he liked playing his violin and normally only in private; singing then the second year thought about joining the Arts and Orchestral Club not actually thinking he was going to do it but there he was going through the corridors with his rather old and battered violin case in hand.
His orange feline; Loki was still with Rose Moon and her cat; Chaska for the time being. Just until the club meeting is finished since the cat is particular with who he trusts and being slightly skittish around large groups of people the cat didn't know Henry figured best to leave the feline with his friend during it.
Henry walked through the corridors occasionally pushing strands of his hair out of his face or pulling them over as a attempt to calm his nervous and relieve his rising anxiety. When the door to the classroom was within sight, Henry would push back his hair from his eyes before gripping the battered violin case in his right hand sort of tight as he doubled checked to ensure his wand was in his pocket with his left; who know what could happen at any given point it wad Hogwarts.
After a moment or two, the twelve year old finally opened the classroom door and entered the room.
Looking around from the arranged tables and banners welcoming the attendants before looking at the table in the center holding two stacks or so of papers.
Assuming the girl everyone was talking to was the leader of the club; Koko Riddle. Henry would fill out the introduction paper on the table first while he watched two others, one he recognized as the slytherin perfect whom he would only give a slight smile to before staying back waiting for both to finish.
Once they would Henry would take the short paces to the lesser of the club and introduced himself to her.
"Hello, I'm Henry Knight. Uh- I'm guessing your one of the heads of the clubs? It's a club," Henry spoke with a small smile and instantly felt the awkwardness setting in as soon as the interaction is over the boy would turn on his heels and go to the other side of the room.
Score one to anxiety and social interactions or courage is still zero...
Recognizing another member from Gia's party, Henry figured he should stand by her as he waved to Elena with a small smile as he spoke" hello," before turning and looking out at the rest of the club.

Today was the first meeting of the Arts and Orchestral club. Nervous was a bit of an understatement to describe how Aurora felt. Her sketchbook and her set of charcoal pencils were already inside her bag. She put on her lavender sweater, jeans, and slip-on shoes. She took her bag, put it over her shoulder and walked out of the Ravenclaw common room.
"It's going to be fine, just don’t forget to smile so they won’t see you as a grumpy person!” Aurora mumbled to herself as her own footsteps echoed in the hallway.
Aurora arrived at the unused classroom, the place where the first meeting will be conducted. She knocked on the door and opened the classroom door. Aurora looked around the room with the hope to find some people she talked to before. Her anxiety started to grow when she realised that she never exchange any conversation with any of them.
“Hi.. I’m- um- I’m Ravenclaw. I mean, that’s my house. My name is Aurora, Aurora Ranvier. is this the arts and orchestral club meeting?” She asked everyone in the room. The older student welcomed her in, then she grabbed two parchments inside the ‘introductory thing’ and ‘today’s activity’ and sat on the empty chair nearest to her. She grabbed her pen and wrote her identity on one of the parchment
