This thread documents important and some just totally random! letters between Annie and her friends and family back home.

Dear Mum, Dad, Grandfather and Adam,
Hi! How are you? I'm in Gryffindor! I was kind of surprised, but as you can imagine, Luella was really excited. The feast last night was amazing. You are going to love it here Adam! Its 7:00 right now, and I just finished my second dinner at Hogwarts! My dorm is called Kneazle Nests. I met two other first years on the train who seem pretty nice. One, Ashley, is in Ravenclaw and the other, Calypso, is in Gryffindor too. I think my favorite class so far is transfiguration. Magic is a lot harder than I expected! Say hi to Rose and Penny for me!

Dear Annie,
We're so proud of you! We are glad you are having a great time and are already making friends! Wow, Gryffindor? Though we all thought you would be in Hufflepuff, Gryffindor makes sense. It is a great house (almost as good as Hufflepuff!) and they are very lucky to have you!
The house feels so empty without you and Luella. Adam is getting pretty bored without anyone to bug! I think even your climbing tree is missing you! Write back soon!

P.S. We also included the letter from Dawn, Jill and Jason. They asked us the address to Hogwarts! It was kind of a disaster. We just told them we would send it for them.

Hi Annie!!!
This is Jill, Dawn and Jason. They made me (Jill) write it because according to Dawn, I have better penmanship (not true!) How are you? How is your new school? We are pretty good. School just started. Oh, speaking (or writing, I guess) of school, where are you??? Jason is convinced that you go to an academy for spies because for some reason, no one would tell us your address. We just gave it to your parents to send. Write back soon!

I miss you guys people and Camberley so much! Haha, Jill, your handwriting is the neatest I've ever seen! I am good, and my school is amazing! We get to do a lot of things I didn't get to do homeschooling! No, Jason, I don't go to a spy school. ;D As for why no one told you my address, my new school is so in the middle of nowhere, we don't have one! Mail doesn't get delivered here. Crazy, huh? OMG, your school doesn't have an address?! That is crazy! We're glad you like it though. Is it beautiful there? Did you have a good Halloween? Right now we are at Creams Cafe getting ice cream (a cold weather tradition!). Wish you were here! You are coming for Christmas, right?!
