@Kara Capricorn -- @Cassandra IronwoodsToday was a special day, a chance for a bit of romance or platonic love. It was an opportunity to have a little bit of fun and make room for love in your heart, whether that was a new blossoming relationship or to help grow an old one. Love was a powerful emotion, capable of achieving great things. This event was the push that was required to help those in need to make that first step, to find a bond that they could treasure for the years to come. Maybe people will find their childhood sweethearts here or build the foundation of a bond that only grows.
Perhaps that was too optimistic. Nonetheless, this was a way to escape from the drama and angst, a chance to just have a little bit of fun and have a cute date. And what better location to spend with someone than under the stars?
Entering the Astronomy Tower, students would see the familiar staircase decorated with floating paper hearts that gently spun around in the sky. Following the trail of hearts up the staircase, they would enter into the Astronomy classroom at the top of the tower. The entrance to the classroom had a large arch made from paper flower roses in different shades of pink and red around it.
Walking through the arch, people will be greeted by a very different decor than they were likely used to seeing at the astronomy tower. Heart garlands were draped on the edge of the tables and paper hearts floating in the room randomly. There was a sign on the side, saying "please take one". In smaller text, it also said, "You may take up to one of each if you would like".
By the sign, people would see three main options. The first was a vase of pink roses. If anyone looked carefully, they would notice that the thorns had been cut off from the stems. Taking out a rose, they would notice a small label attached to the stem. The second choice was little bags of sweets. A transparent bag holding a small variety of heart-shaped chocolates or sweets. There was ribbon around the bag that tied it shut and a blank label on each bag. The third choice was an eggless cupcake, with glitter icing on it that looked like a rose. On the cupcake case, there was a blank sticker label here too.
When someone took one of the items (or multiple), the blank labels would start to change immediately. They would see words start to form on them. It would give them a number. That was it. A number.
Looking up, they would likely spot a room full of picnic blankets scattered around the area. There was also a foil heart-shaped balloon that came in white, pink or red. They had a small weight on the bottom of the strings to prevent them from flying away. On either side of the balloon itself, they would see a number.
It was clear that they were supposed to go to the respective number to meet their blind date.
On finding their matching balloon, they would look down to see there were two cushions on top of the picnic blanket, with a hamper in the middle. The hamper itself contained a variety of snacks: biscuits, chocolates, scones, cream, jam and cake. There were also some small sandwiches, in case anyone wanted something a little heavier. For drinks, there was a small teapot of hot water that was magically kept hot in the hamper. They would find a small selection of teas, as well as hot chocolate powder in the hamper too - with sugar and milk. For those who preferred a cold drink, there was also water and juice available.
It was definitely on the colder side up in the tower. Being wrapped up in a coat and some gloves would probably be ideal. Hats and scarves would be a decent idea too. After all, the sun had set and it was the middle of winter. However, the sheer number of people around as well as the fireplaces helped to add a bit of warmth to it that prevented it from being freezing. People would not need to wear snow boats as it was not freezing by any means. However, it was definitely suggested that people dressed up warm for the evening.
Sitting down and looking up, they would see the beautiful starry night sky showering over them. Anyone who was good at Astronomy might be able to name some of what they see.
There is something about ambition, how it not only propels you but also defines you.

Valentine's day fast approaching and around the corner. So when the green eyes saw the signed up sheet on the bulletin board near the Great Hall door, they had signed themselves up. A smirked crept up on their face and with the mischief glint in their eyes,
Cash also had signed the snarky Gryffindor girl name - Katherine Labrouder - under their name on the signed up paper. Their mischief deed can go two ways. Either Katherine will thanks them for it or this little shenanigan the second year pulled could angered the young lioness. Either way Cash thought Katherine need to have other social interaction outside the purple haired.
And so after the young socialite put their name on the paper, they wrote an owl back home. Some days later, they got a reply from the owl that the Beater sent in Maritza (one of the Ironwoods Manor helper) handwriting alongside a package containing the outfit that Maritza had picked for Cash.
The young maid said she was more than delightful that her Mix will attend this kind of things for the first time. Cash also asked how is their mother doing. Maritza explained that their mother more withdrawn and throw herself more into her work after the death of their father. Cash feel sad about the news but it is what it is.
They can not change the past. Cash sighed as they open the soft material that wrapped their package. The green eyes smile spread when they see the outfit that Mariza sent. The young maid had sent Cash a red long sleeve pullover top, white skirt, a black knit chunky winter scarf, a pair of red legs warmer, their 5 inches black leather Oxford shoes.
To completed the look, Maritza also send the purple haired a brown with golden buttons medium length trench coat. "Bless your keen fashion sense, Miss Ramos"Cash stated softly to themselves.
Today is the day. February 14th. Before they met Kara, the young socialite never celebrate Valentine's day before. The Ironwoods never too big or too fond about showing their emotions. Whatever it is. So when Kara had asked them to go steady back at the P.U.R.E ball, in front of their club mates and the other attendees, Cash a bit weary about the whole romance thing.
But Kara being her own self, without her knowledge had assured and help Cash that they deserved to be happy from all of the things that have had happened in their life. So, after Cash put on all of their outfit, they walked up to the Astronomy tower. When they climbed up the stairs, the staircase had been decorated with floating paper hearts that gently spun around in the sky.
Following the trail of hearts up the staircase. Cash looked up at the arch of the classroom. The arched also been decorated with paper flower roses in different shades of pink and red around it. Cash let out a chuckle and shake their head at the cliché decoration. Cash stepped further into the classroom until they found a sign on the side, saying "please take one".
Upon the signed, there are three options that the purple hair can took for their date. The beater then grabbed a rose from the vase and a transparent bag holding a small variety of heart-shaped chocolates. There was ribbon around the bag that tied it shut and a blank label on each bag. Cash finally arrived at room.
The room full of picnic blankets scattered around the area. Cash also notice the heart shape foil balloon. Then they realize there's a label that comes within the items that Cash had took earlier. The label shown number '8'. Cash then marched up to the many balloons while searching their designated number. Once the green eyes found it, they looked down.
On the floor, on top of the picnic blanket there are two cushion and hamper with array of foods and beverages in the middle of it. Cash could spotted chocolates, cakes, scones and sandwiches. They also saw a tea pot with selected teas, hot chocolates powder, some sugar and milk. There's also selections cold drink. The purple haired smiled to themselves.
At this point they should not have surprise by it. When a professor arrange some event (either like this or an errands), they will go all out. Go big or go home they thought. Cash then took off their trench coat, fold it and set it beside them nicely. The purple haired then seated down on the picnic blanket. They stretched out their legs, one feet on top of each other.
Both of their hands behind their back, supporting their body. Cash whistle a soft and low tune of Spanish lullaby while waiting for their date to arrived.

Kara Capricorn -- Cassandra Ironwoods
February 14th, 2021. That date would seem normal unless you thought about it. However, this was a more special date than others. It was Valentine's Day, the day of love, romance, and supposedly chocolate.
Kara was walking to the Astronomy Tower, following behind a few other people. She had been a little further behind timewise than others, but she'd manage.
She was wearing simple white shirt with a long red skirt, and a jean jacket over it since it was usually pretty cold during this time of night, especially in higher up places. However, the most surprising thing she was wearing were the heels and the hairpiece. The heels matched her skirt and were tied with a ribbon, so she was going to be taller than Cassie in this case, unless Cassie wore heels as well.
Since Kara's hair was now in a pixie cut, she didn't do much with it, but she still took good care of it since she was usually accustomed to longer hair. When she had found the hairpiece, she actually quite liked it, and it was a simple headband. She had woven it into her soft brown hair and it actually looked pretty good.

Kara made it to the top of the tower, the decorations were very unusual from the usual look of this normally cold and dark, but calming, tower. She saw that there were three little goodies or things to choose from, but Kara's eye was caught by the roses in a vase.
Taking one of the feathery pink roses, she didn't need to be very careful, as there were no thorns, but she also saw a little slip of paper attached to the stem, like a blank label. However, the label didn't stay blank for long, as before her eyes, Kara watched as a number slowly was shown on the paper. The number was "8."
Kara looked around for a bit till she spotted a room filled with picnic baskets, but since Cassie had been first the "8" basket had already been taken by them, so Kara left to where she found Cassie themselves.
"Hey Cassie," Kara waved, still standing up, but now pretty close beside them "Sorry it took me a bit to get here. But, you look really good!"
Kara sat down beside her purple haired partner and gave them a quick kiss on the cheek, smiling and admiring them.

Cash had whistle from one song to another while waiting for Kara to but there was no signed of their lover. The dreaded feeling of being stood up lingered in the back of their mind. Cash was so familiar with that kind of feeling. The humiliated feelings that they felt for being stood up made them feel like a fool and the young socialite was no fool.
Now Cash seated cross-legged on the floor that is covered by the picnic blanket. The purple haired sighed as they already waiting for sometimes. Cash about to get up from where they were situated until a voice greeted them. A voice belong to one Kara Capricorn. To say the least Cash was annoyed by her. They already waited for Kara for sometimes.
Cash's green eyes travel from shoes that Kara wore for the occasion. "Cute shoes"Cash gave out a compliment when they saw a bow like tie wrapped around Kara's ankles. Their eyes then continue to travel. A long red skirt, simple white shirt. And to completed her looks, Kara wore a jean jacket over it. Kara then greeted them with a wave.
Cash nodded their head as a way of greeting. "Hey"Cash said. "Sorry it took me a bit to get here. But, you look really good!"Kara expressed as she sat down beside the Beater. When Kara leaned in and gave Cash a quick kiss on the cheek, Cash's face is the same color as the pull over that they wear. Cash clear their throat and made a dismissal gesture with their hand.
"It is fine"Cash uttered which is a lie. Cash still irritated but they pushed it aside. From young age, Cash already used by people not showing up or somehow they managed to disappointed the green eyes. Cash pushed that unwanted feeling down into their little feeling boxes. Cash plaster a smile. A bit faux and did not reached their eyes but a smile is a smile.
"Thanks. So do you"Cash took another glance at Kara. This time around Cash really take in all of Kara appearance. "That headpieces makes you more adorable and when I thought that was not possible but you proved me wrong"Cash let out a small nervous chuckle as they rubbed the back of their neck. Love is and was a foreign territory for the young socialite.
Cash still learn how to grapple the subject when it comes to love. Their upbringing did not help them the slightest. The beater then looked at the selection arrays of the food and beverages that already laid in front both of the serpents. "Shall we commence?"The green eyes then smile to Kara.

Almost the exact moment Kara's lips made contact with Cassie's cheek, a blush grew quite quickly on their face. Kara smiled softly at that and always enjoyed flustered her purple haired lover. Cassie always seemed to get pretty shy at any type of affection, whether it be given in public or if they were alone.
"It is fine" They were most likely referring to her being late, so it's good that Cassie seemed ok with it at the moment. However, Kara was able to read their disappointment of their face.
"No, it's not ok. I should've came her when it was planned, but I didn't, so I am in fault at the moment, therefore, I am still sorry and after this we can cuddle or do some other random shit back in my dorm or yours. That's my best attempt to make it up to you at the moment, so sorry about that as well." Kara cleared her throat before complimenting Cassie, once again trying to help in any sort of way possible.
"Thanks. So do you. That headpieces makes you more adorable and when I thought that was not possible but you proved me wrong" This time, it was Kara's turn to blush, which she did, but she made a cute little "humph" sound to try and play it off...horribly.
Cassie and Kara just seemed to be gazing at each other in admiration for quite a long time, till Cassie had broken the actually quite comfortable silence.
"Shall we commence?" Cassie asked.
Kara gave a smile, grabbing a drink and clinking the glass with Cassie "We shall!"
Kara drank from the drink, she hadn't even looked, so it was random. Smacking her lips a bit to try and figure out a taste, she settled.
"Pumpkin juice. The drink of newfound lovers. How convenient...again!" Kara looked at the bottle in her hand now.
Kara looked at the array of food that Cassie had also set out from the basket, and the little vanilla and strawberry cake immediately caught her eye, so she grabbed it and dug in of course. She isn't the most lady like when eating, but she's definitely not to messy, so she'd try to make Cassie laugh by giving her a chipmunk cheeks smile before swallowing.
"It's good!"
