She watched as Valentine went to cast at her, dodging out of the way easily, before going to cast incendio duo right back at him. She watched the end of her wand as it just...fizzled out. Really? She sighed in exasperation, this duel was never going to end if she couldn't even cast at them.

Everly honestly felt like screaming.

She was prepared for a hit, she was almost positive there would be one because of how close she was to elimination. When Delilah pointed her wand at Jackson, she turned to Robert, and he didn't do anything, perhaps using the same tactic she was using, Everly stood momentarily confused, wondering what they were planning. She didn't want to get hit, of course, but she also didn't want her partner to die and then a Flipendo-palooza.

This round was... relatively boring. Everly opted out of casting again (surprise surprise), as did Robert this round. Instead, he decided to savor the moments directly after his partner's healing spell, enjoying the ability to take a deep breath while he was once again not drowning in snot. Eyes darting around, he noticed that nothing else really happened this round either. Jackson's spell missed its target, and Delilah's spell seemed to fizzle out at the tip of her wand. He was a bit disappointed, but at the same time, he couldn't really blame her. After all, he'd also decided to take a breather this round. "Don't worry Del, you got this!"

Santario observed as the duel ultimately dragged on. In reality, it wasn’t that bad; if she remembered correctly, her first duel was about twelve rounds, and this was nearing that. In all fairness, it would not be that bad if it was more exciting than a waiting game. Everly oddly enough had a way to win if she was never hit. Sure, Delilah could keep up healing at least one of them… but what would happen if that is what it came down to. Hmmm, maybe someone would get bored enough to forfeit.

Her mind wandered as she watched two… No, wait, three spells. Three spells flew at Everly? Her mind perked up as she saw Jackson’s wand pointed in the direction of his partner. Perhaps he over flourished or took a misstep that caused his unexpected attack against her, but it didn’t much matter. Everly dodged all three spells.

Robert watched as both his and Del's spells once again flew straight past Everly. By now, the young boy was starting to see the humor in the situation. Almost against his will, a wry smile crept onto his face, eyes dancing with mirth. Seeing a third spell, this one from Jackson's wand, fly by the nimble Gryffindor as well was his breaking point. A snort of uncontainable laughter burst out, releasing the floodgates. Shaking uncontrollably, he bent over, thankful that nobody had targeted him this round. Luv you Jackson Apparently, shortness of breath and teary eyes are symptoms of both Curse of the Bogies as well as hearty guffawing, a fact that made the pour boy start laughing even harder. Gasping for breath, Robert tried to compose himself, but without much success. He was able to stop giggling for a second, only to start again worse than ever.

What was Jackson thinking?

The Ravenclaws sent another twin set of spells towards her, both of which she dodged, bouncing off the side harmlessly. Delilah's spell came close, but thank goodness she was able to get out of the way of the third spell that came her way (tatsuuu ).

Wait... third spell?

Everly set her glare at Jackson. She didn't know what happened, or what had caused that misstep, but he wasn't the one dying here, so maybe show a bit of sympathy.

Valentine had had enough from the moment he’d laid eyes on his teammate and beheld the pain in her. Any tolerance for his antics had expired the moment, weeks ago, he had seen dozens trapped within a blazing train carriage, hunted like prey by squib terrorists. There were no pleasantries with anybody who pointed a wand at him. It was just business and had remained impersonal since. He could smell the sickly aroma that began to overcome his foes, or was that the scent of his own body succumbing to the Bogie Curse?

Casting again, she watched in shock horror, one spell, two spells, three spells. All three missed..wait...three? She looked over at Jackson, he had also casted at her, assuming that it was an accident. Immediately she heard her duelling partner start laughing, the noise causing her to laugh as well, covering her nose and mouth with one hand as she chuckled. Laughing when you are extremely congested..doesn't feel nice.

As Robert and Delilah began to laugh, Santario grimaced laughing while having legions of snot pouring out of your nose like the 300 on their way to meet the Persians was not a pretty sight. Quite sickening, actually. Thankfully, most of it was covered up by Delilah covering her face and Robert bending over. Well, whatever had happened to Jackson last time to cause him to cast at his partner did not happen this time.

While Jackson’s aim was true towards Robert, it would see that the sickness was not stopping him from just getting out of the way of the spell, but the same again would be said for Everly as she nimbly avoided Robert’s incoming attack. Delilah would successfully manage to heal her partner and temporarily ease his suffering, but at her own toll. She would now be suffering the worst effects that curse of the boogies had ever inflicted. Giving up looked really good right now; in fact, so did the floor. What a lovely place to take a have a lie-down. Close your eyes and let the pounding in your head stop. Could Delilah keep fighting this terrible cold?
