A Slap on The Wrist, Newspaper to the Face
'You're wrong.' She whispered. That time in the Common room. He didn't understand what it felt like. How it felt to have the sheer amount of responsibility being placed onto your shoulders because they, the Professors and Head of Houses, expect you to be an example to your peers. That night was a mistake that shouldn't have happened. It happened on the night where Nico had gotten the most points in the entire school that month, dragging the victory of their House in, and yet she got chewed out for attending there. 'My emotions weren't in the wrong place then...' She whimpered and took in a deep breath, trying to calm her tears down. 'What I did back then wasn't wrong. I was tired. You don't even have a clue what I've been through... What I had to swallow...' The memory of past time made her clench her jaws together before she let go again.
'But that doesn't matter. Does it?' With her sleeve, she covered her eyes, trying to recollect her thoughts and emotions. Alot was going through her right now. The last thing she wanted was to lash out at him, but she was close to.
In the meantime, he had gotten up. Telling her that the answer she was looking for was somewhere within herself. She feared to hear that. It scared her. But she knew that there was some truth in that... Sadly.
He demanded her to get up. To wipe away her tears. To pull herself together. Hidden behind her sleeve, she frowned annoyed. Did he really think he could just order her around? Yet, the things he said next, made her eyes watery again. He cheered her on in his own cold way. It felt strange. His voice showed little to no emotion yet his words contained a sense of warmth. A heat of a battle. Nico felt embarassed but she slowely got up. Her smudgy sleeve rubbing over her eyes, trying to catch any tear that would dare to roll down her cheek. Her back straightened, her head held high... A blush of shame flushed her cheeks red, her shoulders shrugged slightly as they still needed to recover from her pure emotions. 'I...' The dhampirs once true ice blue gaze looked murky, shyly gazing into Percivals eyes. The mixture of sadness, frustration, embarrasment and determination made her wobbly on her feet, but she tried her best to stay put. 'I... I will..'
