First Year Potions Free Closed

I don't care, making potions will be fun! My mum is amazing at making potions, it couldn't hurt to try!

The girl said. Aurelia was sure she didn't make it properly. She was sure she skipped a few steps while brewing it. The pink haired girl could never had done it in less that five minutes especially since she was a beginner.

I often mix together ingredients, I don't often have issues with it. If anything, it bubbles over or doesn't work... but I'm sure it'll be fine!

If it doesn't work, it wouldn't be fine. Somebody could have a painful stomach ache, or even worse, they get poisoned and die.

It didn't explode, let's hope it works in general..

Well, Aurelia hoped no one would get poisoned if the pink haired girl was to put it in someone's drink. But who was she going to put it in anyway? Aurelia didn't care, it was none if her business. She direct her attention back to her sketch book.

The professor was really taking his sweet time. What could have hold him up so late? The professor better show up soon else she was going to leave the class.

Asteria hurried into the dungeon for her first potions class,she hoped she wasn't late. "Brr!" Asteria said silently as she stepped into the classroom. 'They couldn't make the room a tad bit warmer for the students.' Asteria thought to herself while hurrying to a seat in the middle of the class, of course they probably had their reason seeing as this is a room where potions are made and stored. But she couldn't help but think such a thing, seeing as it was freezing.

As she walked toward her seat, Asteria couldn't help but notice how large the room was. The freezing dungeon seemed large enough to fit a class of about twenty students. The walls were lined with what looked like pickled animals that was sealed away in jars. Asteria wondered whether they'd be using any of these animals anytime soon. Looking over in one corner, Asteria noticed a Gargoyle fountain, with water flowing from it's mouth and into the basin that laid below. In another corner was a cupboard, 'What's in there?' Asteria though curiously.
The main thing Asteria noticed was the lack of the potions Professor despite the room being full of students. Perhaps they were getting supplies or talking to another professor, she was sure there was a reason. Asteria mind began to wander, what were they going to learn today? Would they be making a potion or taking notes?Asteria settled on simply taking out her books and materials and waiting for the professor.

Aravis walked calmly to her potions class. Her curly black hair was neatly braided and pulled over her right shoulder. Her blue eyes reflected the light making them appear to have a tint of green. She hummed a simple muggle tune that her brother used to sing often. She carried her books with pride. Potions was one of her favorite lessons. She walked into the classroom and scanned the room. In her pocket was a small potion she had brewed outside of class. She intended to give it to anyone who had a slight cough that annoyed her in class. It was a handy potion to have aside from the side effects. 

She took a seat near Aurelia that was empty. Aravis set her books on the corner of her desk in a neat manner along with her quill and ink. She took the potion and set it beside her books. She tore a piece of paper from her notebook and scribbled something on it. She placed the piece of paper around the base of the vial. The note read "Pepperup Potion." Aravis was fully aware it worked do to having to make some for herself when she had caught a cold. She thought of introducing herself to the others in the room but decided against it and sat in silence.

A student walked calmly into the room and sat on the chair beside her. Aurelia gave her a warm smile. The girl beside her was probably going to be her potion partner. The dark haired girl opened her book. She flipped the page to the index letter P . It was a remedy potion to cure flu and colds and common illnesses.

She glanced at her name tag on her laboratory coat and stood a distance in so that any sickness wouldn't be passed on to her before asking,"Pepperup potion? Have you caught a bug, Avaris?"

"Well, I've heard fumes would come out from your mouth and ears when you drink it, making consumers look like a dragon." She joked.

The professor suddenly rushed in with heavy footsteps and huge strides.
"Finally. He's really late." Aurelia commented.

The professor introduced himself as Proffesor Wilsons. He apologies to the delay then He professor took out his chalk and began writing on the board. "Antidote to Common Poisons," Aurelia read. She smiled, it was a basic potion and a useful one. The professor began instructing everyone to pair up and get the materials for making the potion.

"I had a cold a few days back, all better now of course. I figured if I carried the extra bottles I made with me I could give it to students who begin to catch it or started feeling a tad bit under the weather." She said with a smile. She laughed at the dragon comment Aurelia made. "It sure does, it's quite funny in all honesty when fumes come out of your ears." She remembered how shocked she was when it had happened. Aravis had forgotten to read the side effects that day, and had nearly panicked due to thinking she would up poisoning herself.

'I wonder what took so long...' Aravis thought to herself in curiosity. The professor walked in silencing the room. She watched as he wrote on the board. Aravis smiled happily as her second favorite subject began. They were going to learn how to make an antidote for common poisons. It was probably useful to Aravis seeing as she always wound up reading the wrong recipe page, ending up with a deadly poison instead of something else. The professor instructed the students to begin to get their materials. Aravis stood up and began searching for the correct ingredients. 

Aurelia prepared the table while Aravis collected the ingredients. She unrolled the mat. Put a burning stand, and coals underneath it. She looked around for a lighter. She couldn't find one. She remebered she had her wand in her pocket.

She pointed her wand directing towards the coals. "Incendio," She said and an orange flame lit on one of the chunks of coal the flame grew as it contacted the other chunks of coal. She filled he cauldron pot halfway with water and put it on the stand above the fire. She also laid out a chopping board in case anything needed to be cut. She put the knife beside the board. It was put in a neat perfect manner that she like and pleased her eyes.

"Ah... Bezuidenhout, careful with the knife." Proffesor Wilson warned. She wasn't sure how Proffesor managed to learn everybody's sir names without the students introducing themselves, maybe it was a second nature to Proffesors. She looked at the knife's edge, it wasn't sharp, actually it was so blunt that it could be used for shaving hairs or filing nails.

"Students, wait for the water to boil before putting any ingredients in," the professor instructed.

He entered, getting his pen and parchment out. He then looked around, his hands shaking as he heard the teacher enter. He followed the teacher's orders, grabbing a cauldron to follow the steps. He sighed, the lesson was very boring! He then yawned, his jaw clicking as he did so.
