Unexpectedly Acquainted PV Samson Moses closed

While Mistie didn't have much against the Slytherins, she did try to avoid them, in a very in obvious way, of course. She didn't want anyone thinking she was scared of them, or anything. She just didn't want to be bothered by them most of the time because of strange rumors she heard, but mostly because her family was respected but not liked by Purebloods who came from that house. Her family was known to get sorted into every house except for that one, and she wasn't sorry to say that she was grateful.

The young Gryffindor was heading towards Herbology, one of her favorite classes. She had come to realize that she really enjoyed dealing with plants, even though they had only done minor work with them. Magical plants were of course so much more cooler than the simple ones, like roses, oaks, and meager mushrooms. And luckily they had a great professor who taught them in a fun way to entice their imaginations.

Mistie walked into the classroom and quite quickly went to sit next to her friends, some other Gryffindors. She immediately fell into conversation about something funny that had happened in the common room involving some studentd bickering conga line if dancing underwear.

She was laughing at a joke when she and a few other students began to notice a commotion nearby; a group of Slyther seemed to be cruelly teasing one of their comrades, a rather kind looking boy, about something or other. Mistie frowned but it wasn't her business and she didn't care for 'sinister snake' stuff. But even though she tried to get back into the conversation she couldn't help but keep looking back at the poor boy.

If he caught her eye he would notice the inviting look that she offered him, as if she were allowing him to sit with her instead of his housemates who were being especially obnoxious today.
