An Aritist is an Explorer
Simon couldn't believe that they had witnessed Kara create such a fabulous masterpiece right in front of their eyes. If someone had told him before this that they were going to make a sculpture out of loose parts into a horse, he didn't care if they were a professional, he wouldn't have expected it to turn out this fabulous. He smiled as he looked in awe of the finished piece. Kara Capricorn really was an artist, and a gifted one at that. "That's absolutely incredible," he said.Creating art with @Kara Capricorn and @Haley Rose
It was then their turns to try to put their ideas into creation. While Haley got to work, he pulled out some of the parts here and there and tried to see what would fit together to perhaps work. No, not that piece. Maybe. Perhaps... Definitely, yes! One by one each piece began to either make the cut as one that would go into his artwork or got rejected and sat on the table. Those pieces would have to wait for another project another day.
His ended up being very simple but he didn't mind it. He could tell already that he was going to love his little owl. When Haley was done with the welding part, she went to grab the grabber and Simon took the blowtorch and made sure to follow all the safety precautions that Kara had set forth. No need to burn down the classroom they were in and get every one of them in detention.
He had just begun piecing his pieces together when Haley expressed her excitement to show off her creation and he glanced up, smiling brightly. "Damn, Hales...putting me to shame over here," he laughed. It was great and he loved that it also sort of referenced the very first time they spoke to one another.
While she worked on the cooling process, Simon worked to finish out his owl. The feet were a little tricky, and he had to get inventive by having it stand on a branch of a tree, and he had to fix the eyes a couple of times so they were aligned with each other and not off balance. In time though, he got it just how he wanted it to be. There were a few mistakes with the welding, but luckily those were all made in the back and not seen by the finished product when presented. "Alright, I think I'm finished too."
Ladies, we can wind down those thread if you're ready =)

Kara watched as Haley pulled out her own sculpture and placed it on the towel beside her own horse. The brunette made sure that the redhead was being careful and wasn't going to completely mess this up, as that would not be very good.
Later after Haley had pulled hers out of the bucket, Simon had finished with the cooling process and was now going to do the same.
"Damn, Hales...putting me to shame over here," He said looking at Haley softly, letting out a small laugh.
"Now now, there shall be no shame putting, this is a safe haven of equality!" Kara said with a sarcastic tone, pretending to be surprised at Simon's words, when she really didn't care.
Kara smiled softly at the young couple. They just made her heart warm with how freaking adorable they were with the way the two interacted. With her mind on couples, her thoughts drifted to Cassie before returning back to the real world as Simon pulled out his own little own.
Simon had said he was finished, and Kara walked over to the towel. Both of their sculptures looked very good for first time ever being aloud to play with fire. It was definitely and experience they would remember, and the same was for Kara. She had enjoyed teaching the two first years her hobby, as it wasn't a very popular one.
"Well, I have very much enjoyed doing this, and I hope it is the same for you two, but I believe our time together must come to an end. I will clean up and then take my leave."
After that, Kara proceeded to put all her supplies in her bag, as well as the horse, which was safely wrapped in a [dry] towel. She picked up her bucket of water in one of her hands, and the other was empty, but the bucket was pretty heavy, so she was most likely going to make a detour to the bathrooms to dump it out.
She moved towards the boards in the wall where she had first came, and she lodged it open, dust slowly drifting out as she climbed into the tunnel.
"Goodbye Simon, Goodbye Haley. It was nice meeting you two and a wish you both luck in your lives."
With her closing statement, she picked up the piece of wall and put it back in place, making it like she had never been there and there was no hole. She turned from the exit and walked down the tunnels, going to who knows where.

Haley said goodbye and thanked Kara again and looked after her as she left the room. "That girl is really talented." Haley spoke softly, more to herself than to anyone else but loud enough for Simon to hear her. She turned back around and was now looking at Simon. Only now did she realise that the two of them were alone in the room again. She smiled broadly, still thrilled at how he had come up with this idea and organised all this so that they could have a special first date. And it was special. Unforgettable.
She walked over to Simon now and sat down on one of the tables and took his hand, pulling him so that he was now standing in front of her. She looked at his face, which was at least as sweaty as her own, yet he was beautiful as always. She grinned at the thought and shook her head briefly to gather her thoughts again. "Thank you Simon. Really, that was very special and I really had a lot of fun!" She couldn't be grateful enough. For always being there for her, for putting so much thought into today, for him.
Haley brushed Simon's hair out of his face, which was sticking to his face from sweat, and smiled at him. She rested her arms on his shoulders and spoke a little more softly now, "You know Simon Ezra Kincaid, you really are something special." And after that sentence she leaned forward slightly and placed a soft kiss on his lips. She lightly played with the hair on his neck as they kissed and after a few seconds they released the kiss. It felt like a short eternity, as it did every time, and it was over far too quickly.
She cleared her throat briefly before speaking again now. "um, I-I guess I should go take a shower." She laughed a little embarrassedly and slid back down from the table. She walked over to her artwork and handed Simon his owl and took her Cheshire cat, looking at it a little amorously. She was grateful to have such a great memory for the day.
"So I guess for the next meeting I'll have to think of something." She joked, lightly bumping her elbows into Simon's side as they walked to the door. "I must say, you've set the bar very high." And that wasn't even a lie. For Haley, not every meeting had to involve something special, because they always were. Whether they were welding sculptures together, having a snowball fight, or just sitting in the library reading. Still, she wanted to return the favour to him for this special day.
Haley said goodbye to Simon before she would make her way to the Gryffindor common room and then take a cool shower and find a suitable place for her Cheshire. She briefly thought of Simon's words when he once said one thing he would change about Haley was the house and she understood. At least his reasoning. She thought it was a pity that they had to part ways by the time of the Curfew at the latest.
