So many spells had been cast, and yet no one had dealt any damage yet. Despite that, both Mars and Illowy would find their sniffy noses getting even worse, the nausea threatening to boil over. The Curse of the Bogies was no easy spell to deal with, let alone attempt to keep duelling with. Especially for Illowy, the bubbles surrounding her made it even more difficult for her to cast. That didn't stop the Slytherin from firing off her own spell toward Celynne. The Ravenclaw swiftly evaded the spell, but came close to being hit by Erik's. Amadea's eyes went wide as she watched the spell miss by less than an inch, flying barely under Celynne's elbow. Mars seemed to be dodging a spell that wasn't coming toward them, but it did give them an advantage as Celynne, yet again, blinded the playing field with Lumos Maxima.

Amadea shielded her face, trying to make sure she still had a clear view of the duellists. The light was quite bright, and Amadea knew it would make it more difficult for everyone to cast. Yet again, no damage had been cast this round. This was going to be a lengthy duel, but Amadea was excited to see how things would play out. Both teams seemed to have solidified a strategy, but which one would prove superior over the other?

They really seemed to be picking on Cel alone now, didn't they? Well, that was all right, she wasn't being targeted for nothing. Good thing she was a small target, though. "Mars," she called, trying to get her partner's attention, and motioned subtly with her wand as soon as she did. Tapping her foot against the ground, she waited for an opening.

Two jets of light sailed past Cel's shoulder as she crouched, shooting a (probably unwise, but whatever) glance over her shoulder to follow them hitting the wall harmlessly. That was it—stepping forward, she repeated the wand gesture—more pronouncedly this time—and tossed the ball of light between them like a flash grenade. She squeezed her eyes shut at the last second, vision washing over white as the spell lit up the room, then opened them—yep, spot on.

Grinning, she reached out to high-five her partner, wand hand still up and ready. What to do now?

Mars grinned at the quiet mention of their name, eyes trained on the two Snakes in front of them. At the first quiet noise, they flipped their wand into their sleeve and ducked, throwing an arm up to guard against the blinding light. They could feel it burst out around them, and smiled, pearly whites glittering in Cel's handiwork.

When they finally looked back the field, Illowy and Erik were once again blinking spots out of their eyes. Returning Cel's high-five, they drew their wand again. "Glad I didn't have to nose-dive this time around," they mentioned to Cel, brushing a lock of hair out of their face.

"I had a feeling they'd both go for you... But I didn't think they'd both miss!" With a laugh, Mars raised their wand again, the light in their eyes sharp and twinkling.

The duel continued. Despite their growing nausea, Mars would fire off a Curse of the Bogies toward Erik. Perhaps they wanted to retaliate for the fierce symptoms that were ravaging them at the moment. Erik, still recovering from the blinding light Celynne had produced during the last round, was not quick enough to dodge the spell. Now three out of the four members of the duel would be struggling with the Curse of the Bogies, though Erik's symptoms would take a while to grow to the severity that Illowy and Mars were dealing with.

Celynne cast her own spell as well, sending the Fire Making Spell toward Illowy, who was not only dealing with severe nausea and the need to blow her nose but also was covered in bubbles from many rounds ago. She was also still attempting to regain some vision from the blazing light during the last round as well, which made it almost impossible for her to dodge the fire. Amadea felt so badly for the Slytherin girl; she was really going through everything this duel. Somehow, she was still standing. The spell could not have been good, though, as she was now aflame in addition to everything else. The Ravenclaws were not going easy at all.

Both Slytherins fired off their spells, attempting to disarm Celynne, which was a smart move considering she had been the one to cast many disadvantaging spells so far in the duel. Fortunately for the Ravenclaw, she was able to easily dodge both spells coming her way. Finally, damage had been dealt during this duel, Amadea thought. Still, it was far from over and she stood in silence, waiting to see what would happen next.

At one of her opponent's comments, Cel shrugged. "I'm short," she said, by way of explanation, which—was true, but this was really no time to contemplate the virtues of height, or lack thereof.

In her previous duel, Cel had stayed adamantly away from fire. In her experience, fire never, ever, ever worked. She'd seen it herself: things lit aflame in the Blossomball, in the forest, practically every situation she'd been in, and almost all of the ones she hadn't! But there was no denying that flames were powerful, nor that they were fun, and after some experimentation she allowed herself to relent on just a few of the grievances she'd held against the element.

As the jet of flame hit her target, she felt another two spells miss her by a mile. Honestly, she almost felt bad for the other team, but she had better things to focus on. Her partner's spell hit Erik, too—she grinned, proud of them. The Curse of the Bogies was a great curse, for sure, and they'd used it several times, but it wasn't one that Mars always succeeded at, and she had to applaud their focus.

Gripping her wand again lightly, she rolled her wrist, preparing to aim.
