@Valencia Deathstout @Kaegen Deathmote
Howard shifted in place, rubbing the back of his neck to calm his nerves. The situation had become uncomfortable to say the least. It had been a long time since he had interacted with Kaegen and although he was always a bit of an odd duck, he didn’t remember full on crazy. Now the disheveled Ravenclaw was accusing him of kissing first years, rambling off titles fit for a mad king and completely ignoring most of what Howard had to say. The icing on the cake would come when Howard denied kissing the girl. Kaegen would simply meet his eye and shake his head no, leaving the Hufflepuff with head cocked to the side and mouth ajar. This is what happens when he ventures out to talk to his peers. This is why he should have just minded his business or better yet, just stayed in his private dorm. Yeah, it was nice in there. No awkward conversations or key keeping scarf bearers. Whatever the hell that was. Fortunately, Valencia would come to the rescue.

For a first year she was pretty confident. Most of the others were too busy tripping over their words or crashing into each other in the halls, but she held her own when Kae blew the horn on the crazy train. After agreeing that there was no way the two had been kissing, she quickly diverted the conversation back towards the odd Ravenclaw. Looking interesting was one way to put it, looking like a pile of rags brought to life was another, but to each their own they say. Hopefully the compliment would at least be taken as such. Continuing to take charge, Valencia would question why they had ventured out to the grounds on such an uninviting day.

“Oh...it’s just quiet out ‘ere. Too stuffy this time of year.” It was a partial truth. When the weather was cold and dreary, the halls would get crowded. The common rooms would run out of elbow room and the noise would overwhelm his ears as too many voices reverberated off the stone walls. The part he left out was the fact that he was avoiding as many students and staff members as possible. Not too long ago he had pulled a stunt with his girlfriend. A demonstration he had hoped would prove a point and validate his feelings, but what transpired left him feeling further ostracized. So, to escape the prying eyes he sought solitude on the quiet grounds. Although Howard’s answer was only a half truth, Kaegen would keep his brutally honest. He was here because he lived here. He might be a little off, but Howard couldn’t help but grin at the answer. A grin that wouldn’t last long.

Describe fog to me?

Howard’s face would fall slack as Kaegen asked his question. He couldn’t put two and two together. How could a brain go from this to that? Where was the connection? What broken synapse in the mind would allow for such a thought process? Howard crossed his arms as his gaze hardened. If Kae didn’t seem so genuine in his questions and answers he might think he was just having a go. Perhaps he still was but Howard wasn’t going to play. “Dude, no.”
