date january 13, 2021=========================hex code #ac1f3Gia smiled and nodded. "Yes, well, we can figure that out later I guess. But it will be fun, I can already tell." she said to the boy confidently. She had always loved the time they spent together back home in Manchester, so why would their times at Hogwarts be any different? Aside from the location and the fact that they hadn't actually spoken in person for a while, nothing had changed. Well, alright, those two things were a pretty big deal, but from what she could tell so far, Henry was the same as ever. Except for one thing, something she'd just noticed.
"Henry," she began slowly, "Your stutter is gone!" The Gryffindor remembered the very first time they'd met, back when she was only nine and he ten. They'd talked about his stutter for a bit, and she'd assured him that she didn't mind it at all, which was completely true. But. . . if it was gone now, that must be amazing for him! Her face bright with excitement on his behalf, she grinned at him again. "I honestly can't believe I just noticed," she told him with a small laugh.
The second year explained a bit more about the wizarding world and technology. "Oh, okay," she replied. Then, she remembered a question both her and Vance had been wondering about ever since she'd gotten accepted. "Why don't they use it much? And why weren't we allowed to bring any technology to Hogwarts? Does it not work here because of the magic or something? Or do we just not need it?" Her guesses were a lot closer than she would've thought, but she wouldn't know this until Henry replied.
Gia nodded in agreement with what the boy said next. Then, she felt as if she should explain a bit more of what she was thinking. "Yeah, there are a bunch of good things about using owls, but. . . I feel like one big disadvantage about them is the speed. Like, you know how human technology allows you to send text messages and stuff that the other person gets immediately? Oh, there's another thing - if you want to send multiple people the same message, you need to write it over again."
That was when the first year realized that it might sound as if she didn't like using owls or was against the magical way of communicating, and so she added, "I'm fine with using them though, and it's a really fascinating way to send messages to others, sorry if it sounded like I thought technology is better. I don't think that, by the way." It was true. Both ways had good things about them and bad things, and they were so different from each other that it was hard - if not impossible - to choose one that she liked better.
Henry sounded a little surprised that she'd been to the tree he was talking about, and Gia nodded. "Yes, I was there before break a few times." Then he asked if she wanted to hang out there at some point, and she nodded again. "Sure! Ooh, maybe that can be the first place we meet up again after this. . . and we can figure out about the Broadway music and stuff there too, if you want." Still, she was enjoying the time they were spending right now and didn't want it to seem like she wasn't, so she stopped that part of the conversation and turned to the topic of houses instead.
The twelve year old in front of her laughed a little as he told her more about their house. "Oh, I never thought you guys were evil or anything. . . I actually kind of wanted to be in that house, but I was sorted into Gryffindor. I do think my house suits me pretty well though." She laughed along when Henry told her about the Ravenclaw dueling team name. It was nice to be having a good time with her friend again, it really was.
The girl shrugged. "It's kinda awkward. . . but I met his girlfriend and she was actually pretty nice, so yeah. It was when I went home over winter break," she added. Then Henry told her what his favorite classes were, and there were so many that Gia couldn't help laughing again. "Wow. There's a lot of them, huh?" she gave him a quick grin. "What's the Ancient Runes class about? Like. . . what type of Ancient Runes do you learn about?" She hadn't heard of the Ancient Runes class before and she was curious about it. Henry probably knew a lot more than she did, since he was sure it would be his favorite class next year.779 words

Nodding a bit as Henry already started to plan things out and organize the meeting. Perhaps at the owlery or grounds somewhere, the boy thought about bringing some books on the wizarding world and Loki would definitely join them. Before thinking about the Broadway music and now technology didn't work at Hogwarts so that was a bit of a problem.
Looking up as he was sort of surprised by her comment but continued on as he spoke " oh yeah, well it isn't completely gone since when my anxiety is over working or when I'm stress it comes back but yeah I got it pretty under control now," smiling a bit toward her as he remembered the reason for why he practiced on the stutter each night until it was controlled. The reason was for his mum after the attack he wanted to do something to make her proud and change from a child to somone mature and independent at least in his eyes that was.
"Mostly only pureblood's don't use it and that's because magic can do mostly everything that muggle technology can but also because of the parents who didn't grow up with it so their kids don't not all of it at least. However because there is too much magic in the air at Hogwarts, muggle technology doesn't work here that's all we know really," Henry replied and now was curious on that problem and about answers on how they could get Broadway music at Hogwarts.
Henry quickly shook his head before speaking " no no no, I'm sorry if I sounded like owls were better than muggle technology since their both amazing in their own ways and all. Also they bot have benefits to them and bloody amazing to learn about," giving the girl a smile as the conversation continued on.
"That would be a perfect hang out spot and also give us a place to figure out the whole Broadway music, brilliant idea Gia!" Henry replies as his mind went back to racing over organizing and planning the hang out and details but still the conversation moved on.
"You wanted to be a slytherin? That's cool but your right Gryffindor bloody well fits you but that doesn't mean you don't have some slytherin qualities," Henry spoke giving his friend a little nudge as he laughed a bit before the conversation continued to her brother and his girlfriend.
"Awkward? Is she nice or any flaws you can tease your brother about later?" Henry replied with a smile before classes and specifically Ancient Ruins became the topic of subject as he smiled before he begun to speak " you learn all about the ruins of the wizarding and even how they cross into the muggle world in the class. It's mostly geek and latin ruins through but it's so interesting some say the class is hard but fantasizing no less. Especially the homework and books, I can let you borrow them if you like?"

@Henry Knight 13 January, 2021Gia laughed a little bit when she saw the expression on Henry's face after she mentioned his stutter. It was as if he'd forgotten all about it! After he replied, explaining a bit more about it, she said, "Yes, you sound so different without it!" she gave her friend a big grin, happy for him. "Sounding different isn't a bad thing, by the way." The eleven year old added.
A few minutes later, the boy told her why wizards didn't really use technology at all - or, at least, not as much as humans did. Gia was still having a hard time adjusting to the way everyone in the wizarding world called people without magic muggles, and she never used it all that much. She didn't think she was going to use it for a while longer. . . at least not until she really got used to it. "Oh, okay," she nodded. "That makes more sense."
The girl then began wondering how exactly they were going to play Broadway music the next time they met up, and the wheels in her mind began spinning. Changing the subject to that, Gia shrugged. "Maybe we'll just have to sing the songs, then." she said to Henry. "I remember you having a nice singing voice. . ." the first year laughed, and then another idea occurred to her. "Oh! I brought my guitar, I could also play some songs on that, don't you think?"
Henry hurried to apologize as well, saying that he didn't think that owls were better than technology. Gia shook her head. "Don't apologize, you have nothing to do it for!" she told him.
"I never thought about that," she added after a couple of seconds. "I guess my world - or my old world," she corrected herself, "is something that wizards would want to learn about. Kind of like how I'm so surprised by everything I see here. . . it's probably the same for wizards when they encounter human things, like technology, right?"
It really was an interesting concept, one that she hadn't ever thought about before. No matter how crazy this side of the world seemed to be, perhaps it was just as crazy for wizards whenever they stepped into a big human city. They wouldn't know how to use very much of the objects there, like a phone or a computer, would they? No, they wouldn't. Still, it wasn't like the regular humans were the ones sending messages to the wizards alerting them that they weren't who they thought they were, so it was different. A little bit.
Gia couldn't help smiling again when Henry showed so much enthusiasm about her idea of a meeting place. "I'm glad you think that's a good place," she told him. The Gryffindor honestly couldn't wait for the next time they'd meet - all their planning was making it sound better and better! She laughed again as her friend nudged her gently after saying that she had some Slytherin qualities as well. "You have Gryffindor traits, too," the eleven year old teased back.
Their conversation then moved on to the topic of Vance and his girlfriend. "She's nice. . ." Gia said, and hesitated a moment as she thought back to the first time she met the older girl. "Her name's Inara. And I can't think of any flaws at the moment. . . she was acting so perfect." With a shrug, the girl waited for one of them to change the topic. It soon came, and Henry told her about the Ancient Runes class. "Cool!" she exclaimed after he was done. "Ooh, maybe. . ." she replied with another smile.
Gia looked at her wrist and then realized that her old watch wasn't there anymore, since it was technology. It was funny, she still hadn't grown out of that habit, and it had been so long since she'd arrived at Hogwarts. Like, four or five months! The eleven year old didn't want to cut their time short, however, so she didn't ask what time it was. She'd figure it out sooner or later, when one of them needed to go anyway, so it didn't really matter. Hopefully the other Hogwarts student didn't have anything else going on, she was enjoying talking to him.700 words

Henry was glad to find an friend from before Hogwarts whom he enjoyed spending time with and their reunion was in the boy's mind; brilliant especially since they didn't fight or yell or anything like the one with Scarlett he had in the previous year however Scarlett and him are better and the boy would even like to say friends again as he smiled toward Gia with a smile that was from ear to ear while he spoke " thank you and you look different to but in a good way, in a brilliant way Gia uh if that doesn't weird and all-"
Brushing back a few strands of hair from his eyes as the twelve year old's mind started turning and developing a plan to meet up somewhere outside and listen to Broadway songs, something that Henry would have never even known if it wasn't for the first year Gryffindor standing in front of him as he heard her suggested and a part of him love it while another part of him was terrified from the thought as he replied " as long as we're in a private place that sounds great if we sing the songs, you have a great singing voice to Gia, and you can play them on your guitar. There's also a piano in the rehearsal room, we could meet there and I could play that to if you like? But meeting in outside around the grounds is a great place to," Henry started to think shout different options and settings and ideas to this meeting.
Human? Henry thought for a moment or two about her question before replying " well it depends on the family, some use muggle technology and others things while others have limited uses of the items then the third option which is hardly ever the case really is the family is isolated from muggle technology and items but it depends on the family really," giving his friend a smile as his mind questioned why the girl used human and wizard instead of muggle and wizard but didn't dwell on the fact as their conversation continued.
"Thanks, I like to believe everyone is a mix of different houses and not just one," Henry spoke on her comment about gryffindor and slytherin before the conversation continued and changed.
Letting out a bit of a smile as she talked about her brother's girlfriend: Inara whom Henry thought probably wasn't Gia's favorite topic so he just nodded and let the conversation continue on.
With a break in the conversation and no where to be at least not that time, Henry wanted to stay and talk with the girl for longer but also wanted to plan their meeting Broadway music session as Henry spoke " what if we meet this Saturday near the great lake for the songs?"

Two Different Worlds
@Henry Knight 13 January, 2021Henry returned her compliment with one of his own, making the first year smile brightly in his direction. "No, it's not weird at all," Gia said with a laugh once he was finished speaking. Then, realizing that she hadn't yet accepted his compliment, the girl hurried to say something. "Oh, and thank you." She laughed once more.
When the eleven year old suggested that the two of them could sing the Broadway songs in their next meeting since they couldn't actually listen to them off a device like they would if they were back at her house, Gia caught a small flash of. . . something in Henry's eyes. Maybe fear? She remembered him being slightly awkward about his singing; he hadn't liked doing it in front of many others. It had taken her quite some time to finally convince him to actually sing with her, but she managed, and had found out that he was actually very good. After a few seconds of silence, the Slytherin boy finally answered, agreeing.
"Brilliant!" Gia said happily. "And yes, of course we can do it somewhere private, if you'd like. The Rehearsal Room sounds good," she added when he mentioned maybe meeting up there for their next encounter. "Maybe we can meet up there one time and at the Great Lake some other time?" the Gryffindor offered. She liked both those places, and had been to each of them multiple times during the school year, and didn't really have a preference as to which one he chose. She would also be fine if he chose somewhere else as well, honestly, Hogwarts was one of those places with so many amazing things to see around it.
The first year spotted a faint look of confusion on her friend's face and assumed that it was because she kept using the word human instead of "muggle" like everyone else did. He didn't say anything about it, though, and so she didn't see the need to give an explanation. Not yet, at least. It would most likely come up in one of their other conversations anyway, so she'd just wait until then. It was kind of silly, after all, but. . . whatever. "Hmm, okay," the eleven year old thought for a moment about what he'd said, and a few seconds later their conversation moved on.
Gia smiled at the boy and nodded. "Yes, me too," she told him. "It's a bit odd to me, how the Sorting Hat sorts us. I mean, does it just look for the most apparent trait inside our heads that matches with one of the four houses and sorts us into that one? Or is there, like, some deeper thing that it's searching for?" The girl had been wondering about this for a while; ever since she'd been sorted into the house of the brave on the first of September months ago. She was certainly happy with her house, but the Gryffindor remembered the hat saying that she had all sorts of traits similar to ones of the different houses. How had it decided to pick Gryffindor, out of all of them?
Their conversation continued on past Inara, Vance's girlfriend, something Gia was grateful for. While she had enjoyed talking to Inara over the winter holidays, she still wasn't really sure what to think of the girl. Henry then suggested that they meet on Saturday at the Great Lake, and the eleven year old nodded enthusiastically. "Sounds perfect!" she said with a smile. "What time should we meet? Would a little after breakfast work for you?" Saturdays were not very busy for her, and really any time would work. So she waited for the Slytherin's response, thinking that he probably had more going on than she did, being a second year and all.629 words

Sorry for the wait
Henry smiled at Gia, he was glad that she was at Hogwarts and they could speak again. He missed talking to her and hanging out with the girl. The second year always found the girl to be a comforting, bubbly fun spirit that was always amazing to be around and at times found that he missed her company and meeting her at the muggle school gate.
Smiling at his friend, Henry would nod a but and listen to her words as memories of their past interactions filled his head allowing him to smile and for a fleeting moment forget about his troubles and ever looming anxiety.
As the topic changed to signing and where to it, the twelve year old got excited even with his anxiety as he spoke "maybe we can switch days? For example, one day in the rehearsal room then the next by the great lake if that sounds good? And when we do it in the rehearsal room, I can play the piano or violin to if you like?"
As plans for their meetings started to form, the twelve year old couldn't wait to start or meet his friend and start singing. Remembering a few years ago, how he had to keep the wizarding world a secret from her but they still had fun no less but how that they both know about the wizarding world, Henry was absolutely sure that they'll have a better time together.
"After breakfast sounds good to me then, should we meet in the rehearsal room or by the great lake first?" Henry asked as the excitment and anxiety bubbled within him.

@Henry Knight 13 January, 2021The Gryffindor nodded. "Yes, of course! That's what I meant when I said that earlier." she added. Then, suddenly, Gia clapped her hands together in excitement. "This is going to be so fun!" she exclaimed, smiling happily at her friend. "So, we're going to be meeting at the Great Lake first, right? On Saturday?" Remembering Henry's offer to play an instrument whenever they met up in the Rehearsal Room, she added, "And sure! I'd love to hear you play again." Her mind began wandering slightly as she wondered which Broadway songs they could play with the instruments they new.
After a few seconds, her mind went to one of their meetings from years ago, only a little after they'd first met. When she compared the Henry she'd known then to the one she'd just recently reacquainted with today, it was really quite amazing how different they were. The boy standing in front of her was almost nothing like the boy he'd been before. . . but everything that had changed was something positive. His stutter was gone, he seemed a lot more - what was the word? - outgoing, she supposed. Yes, outgoing. He didn't seem nervous at all, and was acting perfectly comfortable in this still somewhat strange environment. Strange for her, of course, Gia corrected herself. He'd known all about this for his whole life!
The Slytherin then told her that meeting up some time after breakfast on Saturday sounded good, and she nodded. "The Great Lake. The next time after that we can go to the Rehearsal Room, and we can keep switching if you want." Gia paused, and then added, "We don't have to just go to those two places though, if you don't want to." The eleven year old grinned brightly at her friend. "Okay, so we've got all of that ready. . . what about - " Before she could finish her question, however, the first year's gaze caught on one of the windows lining the corridor. "Oh, it's gotten so dark out!" she said with a frown. "Dinner's probably already started!"
Glancing over at Henry, she waited to see what his response would be. After he finished speaking, she nodded to the empty corridor around them. "We should probably get going," she said, her tone showing how reluctant she was to do so. Gia had been having such a wonderful time talking to the boy in person after so many years. Still, she was very grateful that the two of them had planned to meet again in a few days, and waved goodbye. "See you on Saturday, then!" she said with a smile, turning towards the Great Hall, her mind full of ideas for what they could do then.Gia has left the thread.448 words

Henry heard her comment about switching up where they met and watched her clapped her hands together even, although Henry just smiled and nodded as he was still planning every detail out in his head. The boy truly was a geek or nerd, it didn't matter as the boy listened to his friend's next comment before taking a moment and adding " it's going to be wicked," often the boy included British words without knowing probably why majority of his sentences had the word 'mate' in them or even he was emotional and expressing his feelings about something the boy often use the word 'bloody' before but rarely ever noticed it as he smiled at his friend.
" Saturday at the great lake, after lunch then?" Henry asked posing a time and wondering is he should bring his violin since a part of him wanted to bring it and play it to his friends voice and guitar like old times... Henry just nodded toward Gia with a shy smile when she mentioned hearing him play again causing him to reply " and I can't wait to hear you play again to!" Referring to both her voice and guitar.
As the conversation neared the end and Henry nodded toward their plans for meeting and switching places on Saturday and future days, the twelve year old spoke " this Saturday by the great lake then the rehearsal room then yeah we can talk about meeting at other places later," still smiling as he was more than happy that he was with his friend again after a year or so.
When he heard her mention dinner and it getting dark, the boy would look out before back at his friend saying good bye allowing Henry to speak " uh right, yeah see you in Saturday by the great lake then," before the boy would turned and head in the opposite direction to mainly check on his cat before dinner.
