2021, Stage 2 Group E: Ravenclaw vs Hufflepuff

Round 6

Well, that was unfortunate. One versus one. Two girls. One slowly disintegrating under the nasty effects, but still trying to cast, to burn, to get revenge for all the snot. The other was... dodging. It was a simple task, not quite interesting to watch, but still gracious to perform. The spell went so far from the intended target that it was sent basically into the ceiling. The flame faded away mid-way, but still stole some attention of the crowd. But only for a second before all the eyes were nailing down the two girls in the centre of the stage. Whatever comes next.

Thomas might've been gone but Callie's michevous taunts showed no signs of disappearing anytime soon. Duelling was a bundle of fun for the girl after all and that tended to bring out her more gremlin like tendencies. "Oooh, harsh!" Callie let out a bright laugh at Willow's harsh remarks, clearing finding nothing to be hurt by. As she spoke Callie silently prepared herself to try and move out the way of whatever Willow was planning, even going as far to feign casting a spell only to witness the flames hit the ceiling. "Hey, I'm down here not up there!" Callie remarked with a smile whilst twirling her wand in her hand.

Willow didn't want to be a sore loser. She knew she was on her way out of this duel. Martyna was down, Thomas was down, and Willow's aim just seemed to be getting worse. So much so that she sent a spell into the ceiling and Callie was untouched, and not even casting. The cockiness of this girl. Whether valid or not, was completely unsportsmanlike. Willow didn't want to be mean. She shouldn't be mean. Flash was here.

A snarl ripped through her throat as she yelled as hard as she could with her sickness. "Gods, do you Eagles ever shut up?" It was house-ist. It was mean. It was something she would probably send an apology owl about later. She was just so irritated of hearing all the voices around her. "Talking doesn't make you any better at spell casting. Must be why you've just stopped trying. You know you can't take me out yourself. So you're letting my own failure do it. How cowardly of you." Stop. Stop. Stop. Willow's mouth snapped shut, so rude. She'd cry about that later, for now she just had to focus.

Round 7

The friendly banter between the girls was reaching the peak as Willow was basically choking on her own snot, while trying to answer back to the white-haired Ravenclaw. It seemed the end was dooming closer for Willow, but definitely the girl wasn't from the weakest. She raised her wand and send another spell at Callie, but missed again. This time it went too close to Callie's head, would be an unpleasant experience if it'd hit. At least, Callie maybe would think twice before throwing sharp words at her opponent. Or maybe not, because the spell missed anyway.

As a reply to Willow's speech Callie decided to actually demonstrate another spell. It hit Willow in the shoulder, almost ricocheting. But the effect was not full. Willow would stand still and could continue whatever she planned to but from time to time she'd explode into sudden dancing of unknown nature (like the four guys in this video). And the stop to the dance would also happen instantly. That would be the most annoying thing about that — it wasn't a smooth non-stop dancing, but sudden periodic bursts, which were impossible to predict. And then add the nausea to all that. What a magnificent view, ladies.

Part of Callie felt sorry for Willow given her own prior escapades with the bogies curse. Sadly such sympathy was overpowered by her own competitive nature. Duelling brought out a different side to Callie and when coupled with the influence of Thomas she could be quite the little gremlin when she wanted. So it should come as no surprise that Willow's attempts at threats didn't hit Callie very hard and were greeted by her usual easygoing charm. "Shut up? Nope! It's part of the charm, don't you think? Where's the fun in being quiet anyway?" She quickly hit back as she prepared to cast her own spell after narrowly avoiding what Willow deemed fit to send her way. "Coward? Nah, no way! Ain't my fault you're your own worst enemy right now." The slightest hint of sympathy could be found within Callie's tone even if it wasn't buried beneath her own extremely visible excitement."What's that old saying? Oh yeah! The meek will inherit the earth and all that..maybe that applies here?" She offered with the same faint grin that rarely ever slipped from her face. "I never knew you were such a good dancer, Willow!"

This was hell. This was actually hell on Earth. Not only was she snotting, dribbly, feeling ever so sick, feeling like she could turn over in her grave. It would almost be better if she could just knockout right now and take the loss. Her spell missed... again. And Callie's own dancing feet spell hit her in the shoulder.

She could feel herself break out into dance every now and again which did nothing to help the feeling as if she was swimming in her own brain. It took everything she could to drown out Callie, physically biting her tongue to stop from getting too mean. Willow just wanted it to be over, whether or not she lost.

Round 8

Willow has to taken everything too seriously as she raised her wand to set the sharp-tongued Ravenclaw on fire. The flame erupted to hit the girl but wasn't strong enough to set anything on her aflame. Was it possible to cheat by making the clothes fire-proof? Did anyone actually check the duellers for eligibility?

But anyway, considering Willow's worsening situation, the flame being not hot enough was more explainable.

Callie seemed to enjoy it as she was practically torturing Willow, dying from the lack of breathing air due to snot blocking the breathing functions. Dancing in that wasn't enough. It was time for... singing. The spell spiralled all the way towards Willow and the effect was instant. It was tough to sing as you had to breathe in for the next phrases to sing, and one could collapse from suffocation if forced to sing with not enough air. What could be worse was how one had to sing under that spell. The spell chose very very very very rapid rapping, worth of a victory on some contest.

It was close to impossible to survive by the end of the verse.

Being hit with flames seemed to bring Callie back down to earth a tad even if it didn't end up setting her aflame. "Eeek, nice shot!" She complimented as she brushed down her robes and looked up to her unfortunate opponent. Things weren't looking great for Willow, in fact the poor girl looked downright miserable. However despite her newfound sympathy for her victim at the end of the day a duel was a duel. Callie could apologise for her retaliation later but for now she needed to see thingd throughtill the end. Perhaps some apology donuts were in Willow's future, who could deny the power of donuts? Nobody, that's who!

Of all the people she expected to be mean and cruel, she saw it coming from a Slytherin. The trash talk of duels was not an aspect she was excited about. She hated it really. She saw it as a waste of time and breath. Especially when she could barely catch it. First the dancing, now the singing. Callie was torturing her, perhaps taking pleasure in kicking her while she was on her way out. She was now on Willow's extremely short hit list. Although... it wasn't really a hit list that she did anything with. It was moreso a list of who to avoid in the halls.

Fact was fact, Callie was deemed evil by Willow.

Willow couldn't make it through the rapid rapping, so whatever she had on her mind, probably fully covered by the sticky snot now, had to be discarded and she just had to dodge whatever was coming her way. Which she successfully did.

But we know that on this site we don't allow to describe gore scenes, or something disturbing, or detailed event of torture, especially towards a child. But for Merlin's sake, how else can you calmly continue to read about a person coughing on the increasing amount of snot that was forced into dancing, then singing and then a final attempt to make her tickle to her temporary death? You all are sick crazy I'll say! Mind my words. Smh.
