Valentine's day was fast approaching and love was definitely in the air. As chatter about crushes were often discussed during classes and dates were being arranged. It was funny now holidays at Hogwarts were fill of much spirit and almost everyone could be seen celebrating them no matter how significant or insignificant they were.

Even with all the love floating through the air, not everyone understood much about Valentine's day. One of those people was Henry Knight; Second year slytherin dueler. The twelve year old was a know it all and practically a genius when it came to classes and academics but he could be called an idiot on matters that includes things such as; valentine's day and love.

The two topics just never quite made sense toward the boy, probably because he matured quite fast and took almost pride in being independent since his mother died in the werewolf attack or perhaps it was an another reason.

No matter the reason, the twelve year old never understood the holiday which didn't bother him since he mostly just read or studied during the month however the three day's before valentine's day; an cookie decorating errand was brought to his attention by his friend: Rose Moon.

Thankfully nothing changed between them nor were there any awkward situations that emerged since finding out that their parents were engaged to each other. So the twvele year old still considered the red head as a friend and agreed to join her at the valentine's day cookie decorating errand even if he didn't understand the holiday.

Not wanting to go with just Rose through before the second year met with the red head, he would quickly write a short owl in a ripped piece of parchment for his best friend; Logan Baird around two days before the day asking if she would like to join them.
Logan,

I'm going to this cookie decorating errand in the great hall in two days. Please meet me there! You know how much I don't understand valentine's day so please don't let me suffer alone...

Your idiot best friend,

Henry K.
After sending the piece of parchment to his friend and hoping that she would go to while also possibly forgetting both girls knew each other already from their first duel. However the twelve year old didn't think much about it since when they met it was during a duel, so there shouldn't be any hard feelings between them.

The second year was basing that on his own first duel against gryffindor's. Well he did win and Amara and him exchanged some banter still after the duel, the boy found no tension existed between him and the gryffindor; Alec Mason in fact he remembered receiving an amazing leather jacket with an santa stitch for himself and his cat from the boy.

Not to mention that all three them seem to have has an rough duel during the second stage so Henry thought and probably hoped that no tension would exist between the two tweens.

The day of the errand has arrived and Henry agreed to meet with Rose Moon at the front of the great hall still hoping that Logan would join them.

Loki; his feline companion was with him and recognized Rose first. Jogging up to the girl and giving an short meow asking to be petted before Henry would wave a bit to her as he spoke " Hey," after a few minutes the twelve year old would looked into the hall before speaking " I'm guessing we're going in then?"

Looking around again for an sign of Logan before the boy would enter the great hall with Rose and immediately be hit with an strong smell of cookies and frosting.

From there the twelve year old would take a seat across from Rose while Loki sat next to him on the seat. The boy would pull six heart cookies in front of him already knowing who he would give his cookies to.

1. Henry Llewellyn: an rather close friend who is cool - his cookie would have an outline of blue around the heart and the center would be a green color.

2. Alexa Mackenzie: an close friend with an awesome love for creatures and definitely an amazing person - her cookie would have an orange outline around the heart with an small drawing of the face of an rat (because she owns an rat) in a pink color.

3. Logan Baird: best friend and an amazing person - her cookie will have an type of yellow with an orange outline around the heart and the inside will have two wands crossed in brown or blue.

4. Rose Moon: close friend, kind and caring person - her cookie will have an pattern of red and pink and once that dries an light and simple outline of a cat's mouth and eyes.

5. Cash Ironwoods: friend and wicked sense of honour plus intelligence - their cookie has a outline of green with an snake curled up in dark green and sliver frosting in the center.

6. Robyn Finley: librarian, pretty cool for an professor and definitely helpful - the cookie has an outline of brown frosting and an book also in brown frosting in the center.

Starting work on the first cookie before the boy would eye his friend worry an smile slowly growing on his lips as he spoke " so how have you been Rose?"

It was the day before Valentines Day, a holiday revolving around love, specifically romantic love. Hearts and sappy poems were floating in the air, and though the castle wasn't as decorated as heavily as Christmas, the decorations were sure not sparse. Love just seemed to be in the air. Even though the school only housed a few adults, pre-teens, and teens, the cheeseyness was nothing short of obvious. Rose wasn't sure yet if she was going to do something with Eyre, her boyfriend and close friend, but she had a feeling something absolutely wonderful was going to happen.

Biscuits. No, they were not cookies- they were biscuits. The people here in the UK called it a biscuit, and not a cookie as Americans like her mother did. Being raised by her, when her mother or her grandmother pulled fresh baked goods out of the oven, it was never announced that "The biscuits are ready!" It was always announced that "The cookies are ready!" They were not cookies here. Here, in Scotland, at Hogwarts, they were called cookies. I mean- biscuits. That's what everyone called them anyway, and Rose didn't want to embarrass herself in front of Henry, who was oh-so posh and English.

Anyway, Rose was done throwing herself a pity party about her fight with her mother and her mother's fiance, and was now determined to live her Hogwarts life to its fullest. Well, on her better days she was. Sometimes she was still on edge or anxious, but on the good days she was letting a little loose. All this to say, she had heard about the co- biscuit decorating errand and had definitely wanted to do it. But she hadn't wanted to do it alone, though, so she had invited one of her good friends as well as her piano teacher and future step-brother to do it with her. Henry Knight. They had smoothed over the awkwardness between them at their parents being engaged, and they were still as good friends as before.

Okay- Rose had really really really tried to leave Chaska in Gryffindor Tower. The silver cat was approaching nine months old at the end of February, meaning her silky fur was all grown in by now, making her look like an elegant, gracious princess. She was gorgeous, and she sure knew it. Every time Rose had tried to shut the door of her dorm, even nudging her with her foot, Chaska had either slipped out of the door or miraculously appeared on the other side, and had bolted out of Gryffindor Tower after Rose started to be serious and stopped treating it like a game- she didn't want to be late! For some reason, Chaska had seemed to know where they were going.

All this to say, Rose was slightly suspicious that Chaska was magical.

Rose had started approaching the Great Hall for the cook- the biscuit errand, scanning the gathered people for Henry, who she would be doing the errand with. She wasn't very tall for her age, and so she rose up on her toes to search for him in between all of the people. Chaska, who had been lingering at her feet, scrambled up her leg and her side, putting her hind legs on Rose's shoulder and planting her front paws right on her head, forcing it down a little bit. "Wh- Chaska, what are you-" But before she could even finish the sentence, Chaska made her way back down Rose's leg and darting away, turning to make sure Rose was following her. "Did you find them, silly kitty?" she murmured, following the silver cat as she bounded away through the people going into the Great Hall, spying Henry and Loki. Chaska approached the two, and both cats would greet the opposite humans in a similar way- asking to be pet as a greeting. Rose smiled at the ginger cat, leaning over to rub him on his neck with one hand before looking back up at Henry, deeming him okay with a glance. Chaska also rubbed her cheek against the older cat's side affectionately.

"Hi," Rose answered Henry with a smile. "Good to see you." She nodded at his question, and they both headed into the Great Hall. Rose took in her surroundings, just so that she could be comfortable and not surprised by anything that happened. It looked mostly like how Hogwarts as well as events most of the time looked like, with several small groups of people. Some chaos here and there, some magic scattered around, but mostly just people decorating heart-shaped biscuits. Rose wasn't sure who she would give her cookies to yet, as she had forgotten how much she got. She had some ideas, but wasn't sure the actual people yet.

Getting her... biscuits and making her way to a table fairly near the entrance, which unbeknownst to Rose, would be very convenient to somebody else who would be joining the two second-years as well. She put the cookies down on the table right across from Henry, watching as Loki sat very politely next to Henry. Chaska, however, had always been a little less dignified than her feline friend, and instead chose to sit with her back paws on Rose's lap and her front paws in front of the cookies, her whiskers twitching as she sniffed the cookie- the biscuits.

"Silly kitty," she said softly, picking her pet up by her midsection and placing the cat beside Rose's leg. Chaska seemed to understand and didn't protest being replaced, but still started inching closer toward the biscuits when Rose wasn't paying too close of attention to them.

She looked up at Henry before taking a tube of icing into her hand and starting to outline a shape of what she was going to do for her first cookie (biscuit!), still unsure of who was going to get what quite yet. "I'm doing okay, thanks. I was a little off for a couple weeks there, but I'm doing a lot better now." Hah- a couple weeks? A couple months was more accurate, to be honest. A couple months was really how long she was doing not so 'okay,' and even some days now. "How about you?" she asked him in return, looking for any clues of him not being alright.

"Thanks for coming with me. I didn't wanna do it alone, and I appreciate you coming with me," Rose finished with a smile. She really did mean it, and inside, she worried that she had pulled him into something he didn't wanna do, which, if it was true, would make her feel like an awful friend. "It's sweet of you."

Cookies

Logan had not planned on doing much the day before Valentine's Day. The brunette's main plan had originally been to sit in her dorm reading the whole day while eating the tin of partially burnt cookies her aunt had sent her, so when she had gotten the message from Henry that he wanted her to go and decorate cookies with him, she was rather surprised. Instead of being a good friend and responding to him though, she instead decided to just show up. He had mentioned cookies, of course she was going to go to show up.

"Come on Sherlock," Logan called out to the energetic cat as she walked out of the Hufflepuff common room. Luckily, it was not a long walk to the Great Hall from the Hufflepuff common room, but Logan still enjoyed the walk. Her small Egyptian Mau trotted along beside her, currently wearing a little deerstalker hat that matched Sherlock Holmes', Logan on the other hand had gone with a pink sweater and a pair of ripped jeans. Being February, it was still rather nippy in the old castle, but Logan enjoyed it greatly. She loved the cooler weather, as she felt like she was freer than in summer. There was a skip in Logan's step as she walked down the corridors towards the Great Hall.

The girl took the time to think of what the cookies were going to look like. She already knew that she was going to give some of the cookies to Henry and maybe the other half to Elsian, but maybe she would give them to someone else, as she hadn't talk to Henry at all that year. Logan had decided that one one the cookies was going to be green and silver checkered, another have green and silver circles. The other cookies she was not so sure about yet. Maybe she would do a stripped cookie of the house colors, although she wasn't quite sure about that yet. Logan even thought about making a pink speckled cookie, seeing as the cookies were for Valentine's Day, so at least one of them was going to need to have a little bit of pink on it.

"I wonder how many people are actually going to be decorating cookies?" Logan stated as she looked down at Sherlock, who for once was staying close to her instead of running off. They had made it to the Great Hall in record time, as Logan grinned and skipped in. Her green eyes peered across the large room, skimming over other students before they landed on her best friend. She noticed that he was not by himself either, Rose Moon stood with him as well. Logan didn't mind that Rose was their as well though, it gave the girl an excuse to chat with someone she normally didn't speak to. It also gave Logan the idea of who the other cookies were going to go to, Rose had been a wonderful dueling opponent in the first round of duels. Luckily the two did not have any hard feelings against each other.

Trotting over to the pair, Logan flung her arms around Henry. "Isn't it a wonderful day?" the Hufflepuff questioned with a grin on her face. The girl had probably eaten a half dozen cookies that morning, so it wasn't a surprise that she was rather hyper. "So, how are the both of you?" she questioned with a grin still on her face as she backed away from the boy. Sherlock meanwhile had gone over to sniff at the other two cats, his hat still present on his head. The cat had already been friends with Loki, but the other cat was a complete mystery to him.

Henry haven't noticed Rose until Loki went running in a direction not to meet Rose Moon but instead her Cat; Chaska. Loki would lightly and quite playfully bat at the younger felines head for around three times before taking a few steps past Chaska and toward Rose where the feline then meow once as if to ask the red head to pet him however the cat still didn't purr or show any sign off affection.

Henry would waved and after a friendly greeting, the twelve year old would find himself in the great hall with six cookies... biscuits actually in front of him and across from Rose. Loki however would notice that Chaska was inching closer to the biscuits so the feline decided to part take in the mischief as the orange cat jumped onto the table and picked up a soft biscuit a few feet away from the two tweens before walking toward Chaska and dropping it at the younger cat's paws.

Loki would retake his seat on the bench next to Henry as the boy spoke " really Loki?" The feline would looked into his owner's eyes letting his own amber eyes grow wide and sparkle almost as the cat gave a single meow before going back to watching the two pre teens decorating their cookies... I mean biscuits.

"I'm sorry about Loki, I didn't know he'll do that," Henry spoke turning back toward Rose and mentioning how Loki gave Chaska a cookie actually a biscuit. As conversation started, the twelve year old would pull forward his first valentine's day biscuit a bit and start the decorating as the boy use the frosting and drew a rather neat blue line around the edges of the cookie for the outline.

Henry would nod toward Rose and for a brief moment wonder what was wrong with the girl or what was possibly on her mind. The second year wanted to ask and help the girl but didn't know if he should since they were in a rather public area and Henry didn't want Rose to feel pressured or embarrassed by him asking but the twelve year old still wanted to him his friend so what to do next was haunting him.

A small part of him thought that Rose might have been stressing or still coming to terms with what happened during the end of the Christmas holiday. Henry still couldn't stop thinking about it which often led him to be distracted during his classes yet he still had a average of Outstanding for his classes so there's was that. However while Henry wasn't bother or didn't care as to speak by his father's recent engagement probably because the man was rather distinct to Henry and his siblings since their mother died in the werewolf attack so Henry didn't really see the man as his father especially since he barley knew anything about his father and growing up the man was hardly ever there after the attack.

Anyway the twelve year old would find the words after a moment and waited for Rose to finish before momentarily stopping his decorating and looking up at Rose as he spoke, "Are you okay now Rose? If you ever want or need to talk just know that you can always talk to me, I'll always be here for Rose-" a smile across his face before the bot felt his face grew hot and he let a few strands of hair fall over his eyed as he rather quickly stumbled over frosting the center of the cookie with green and smoothing out the green as he spoke " or if you ever need someone to take your mind off everything just send a owl."

The second year thought awkwardness was on the rise as he looked back toward his cookie no biscuit. The twelve year old knew that in America they called a biscuit a cookie which was odd to the boy since in England and he was pretty sure in most parts of Europe they called the small, soft sweet is a biscuit which growing up calling it that made sense to the twelve year old. While a harder and mostly flat sweet is known as a cookie which again just made sense or fit like a puzzle piece toward Henry having grown up with that and hardly hearing anything else. The same goes for chips and crisps names between America and England England along with most parts of Europe was really confusing toward the twelve year old... having grow up with calling what Americans called Chips; Crisps and what Americans referred to as fries; Chips. The American names for the two was just pure confusing just like how they called Futball; soccer in American which really wacked his brain no matter the boy still was curious why they had different words and why Americans had different words for things than in England and other parts of Europe.

" I'm fine, I guess. The past few weeks and even month has been a bit mental and my anxiety hasn't been helping it but I'm fine," Henry spoke not wanting to worry Rose as he kept his words short and sweet deciding not to tell her everything about how he was feeling.

When the twelve year old heard Rose speak, the second year just finished his friend valentine's day biscuit as he placed it at the top of his workspace to dry before placing his second one in front of himself.

The twelve year old would look at Rose and smiled as he spoke " no worries mate, I'm glad you invited me Rose this is actually pretty fun," the boy still didn't know what valentine's day was truly about and was still a idiot with love but he was glad that he joined Rose and invited Logan to even through he hadn't seen his best friend yet... however Henry was thankful that Rose thought of him and invited him, the girl truly was a good friend whole he spoke " your just a great friend, Rose."

Turning back toward his biscuits; now starting on the second one as he carefully made a neat orange line around the edges of the heart.

The boy would just begin work on the face of the rat in the center of the rat in pink frosting when he felt someone flung their arms around him and heard a familiar voice.

Placing down the frosting, the twelve year old would turn a bit on the bench and give his best friend a side hug while he jokely spoke " yeah sure wonderful if you think people snogging and flower petals littered around the corridors beautiful," the boy figured that Logan would know about his rather odd preferences toward Valentine's day while Henry never told Rose about how the day was confusing toward him so he didn't expect her to understand his comment. Not to mention kissing in England and most parts of Europe is know as snogging.

Pulling Logan down on the bench playfully still hugging her while he remembered that Christmas holiday and her love of cookies/biscuits while he jokely spoke " will this amount of biscuits satisfy your obsession of them, Robin?" After another moment Henry would let go of his friend before remembering that he didn't tell Rose that he invited Logan at least he told the red head earlier that he told Logan about their parent's engagement.

" I almost forgot but I invited Logan, I hope you don't mind Rose but-" Henry spoke as he took a pause and eyed his best friend a bit before speaking " I didn't get a response back so I didn't know if she was coming or not," laughing a bit as he lightly and playfully elbowed her before turning back to Rose as he spoke " you already know each other right? Uh from the duel even through that really doesn't count, does it?"

Going back toward his cookie as he drew a face of a rat in pink frosting on the cookie. Once done the boy place it next to his first cookie and took his third as his eyes lingered on their cats causing a smile when he noticed Sherlock's hat which almost reminded him of Loki's leather jacket which sadly the cat wasn't wearing.

" That's a adorable hat on Sherlock," Henry spoke while Loki happily jogged toward Sherlock and rubbed against the cat before leaning a bit against him as the orange feline rubbed his head on Sherlock. Loki then took a seat position and watched the interaction that would start to happen between Chaska and Sherlock as Loki lightly batted at Chaska's head before going back to sitting.

Rose would see Loki steal a cookie from a few feet away from where they were sitting, and would laugh a little. "Aw, they're sweethearts, Henry. Our cats are falling in love," she joked. "Hey," she said as Chaska jumped up onto the table to try to eat the cookie. The silver cat's head swiveled around to look at Rose. "No... biscuits for cats. You know that, silly." Chaska ducked her head sadly, as if to say, "But it's Valentines Day!" Rose sighed, giving in. "Okay, fine. You can eat the cookie. But it's not my fault if you have a sugar crash later." Chaska turned back to the cookie.

She laughed brightly- Gosh, she loved that cat. "No, it's no problem. Don't worry about it, they would probably just have stolen ours anyway."

Rose's heart warmed as Henry reassured her that he was there for her. She appreciated that. Really, she did. "Yeah, I'm good now. But thank you. If I ever need you, I'll tell you." Or maybe she wouldn't. Rose didn't want to ever inconvenience anyone, and especially because Henry was suffering with his anxiety lately, Rose didn't want to be the one that increased that anxiety. She didn't want to put more responsibilities or worry onto Henry. He already had enough on his plate. But then Rose felt guilty because what she had told him had been a bold-faced lie. Rose decided in her head that if she just low-key needed him, she wouldn't tell him. If she really really really needed him, she would. Then she would be true to her word as well as not being a needy burden on him.

Rose nodded as he told her how he was doing himself. She did worry about him because of that. Was any of it her fault? Or their parents' fault? "Yeah, I get that." Rose tried to make eye contact with him, then, communicating how serious she was about this. "You know, if you ever need me, I'm here for you, too. Always."

Rose started decorating her first cookie, precision in her movements. She had actually planned out what they were going to look like in her journal this morning, a diagram fresh in her head. She visualized it as she started making a border of white around the very first co- ugh. The very first biscuit.
The first cookie-biscuit would be for the one and only Eyre Reeves, her boyfriend. She didn't want to go too sappy, so Rose designed it to be red with an outline of white and a gold silhouette of a lion in the middle. She thought Eyre might like that. It would have red, white, and gold heart-shaped sprinkles over it.

The second cookie was for her friend Aldor Humbleglow, and it had a yellow base with a silver dragon tail off to the side, looking like the dragon was just exiting the cookie. She would have a border of silver icing around the edge of the cookie.

Cookie number three would be a little more complicated, as Rose was trying to challenge herself and her cookie-decorating skills. She would try to make this cookie look like it was a green and white plaid. Hopefully she would end up getting the pattern correct and didn't get confused. Maybe designing it beforehand would help. This cookie would be going to Henry Knight, who was one of her very good friends. She thought the more complicated pattern was fitting for him.

Anyway, the fourth cookie would be a little less dignified, decorated with red and blue marble as a background (which Rose wasn't sure how she was going to do), with a beater's bat and a broom in the middle. At least she hoped it would look like that and not just a pair of blobs. It would have a border of candy around the outside, and would also sport a wide variation of sprinkles throughout the cookie. She hoped it would light up the day of her friend Scarlett Aden.

The fifth cookie was going to her classmate Aly Salinger as a continued thank you for her helping Rose with the Slug-Vomiting spell. Aly had been so patient and kind, and Rose was decorating the cookie for her with blue and gold stripes, and some white sprinkles on it.

The sixth and final cookie was a take on an ice cream cone, with a top half that was pink and dotted with rainbow sprinkles. The bottom half would be decorated in away that looked like the cone of the ice cream, and was going to be a tan color with darker brown crosses over it. She had been particularly proud of this design and her creativity, but wasn't sure who she was going to give it to. Well, since Logan had shown up, maybe she would give it to Logan, then.
WC describing cookies: 419
But Rose actually didn't know Logan was coming until Logan walked in and half-tackled Henry, talking about what a wonderful day it was. She was right. Rose smirked at Henry's comment. "Hey, that's tomorrow, silly. You can be as boring as you want today."

Henry said he hoped she didn't mind and then mentioned her first duel ever, which had been just as embarrassing as her most recent duel. She had lost both of them miserably. It wasn't Logan's fault she sucked at dueling, though, so Rose didn't blame her. Rose was more mad at Lucia than she was at Logan. Actually, she was more mad at herself than she was really mad at either of the Hufflepuffs. Lucia and Rose had actually gotten into a fight recently. She wasn't really mad at Logan at all, truly. Logan had just been dueling like she was supposed to, and she had been friendly and sweet towards Rose since then. Plus, Logan was Henry's best friend, and Rose didn't want anything to happen to Henry. She knew spending time with Logan made Henry happy because they were such good friends, and if Henry respected Logan, Rose could, too. But Rose could still remember being on fire, and seeing Eyre in flames, and they were both sickening thoughts. It wasn't Logan's fault, though. It was all so complicated, and it probably wasn't worth being bitter over.

But Rose at least wished that Henry would have told her he invited Logan to come as well. She felt a little pang of doubt that he didn't really enjoy her company anyway and he wanted to have Logan come to relieve some of that. That wasn't a very nice feeling. Rose knew Henry would probably never tell her outright that he didn't like her, so this almost seemed like a subtle way to imply it. Or maybe he wanted her and Logan to be friends and stay on good terms. Maybe he thought that Rose had some kind of bias towards Logan. Rose was not one to hold a grudge, especially since Logan had been friendly towards her since then. Rose sure hoped it wasn't either of those worries, because she didn't want to be that weird friend nobody wanted around, and didn't want Henry to think she was immature either.

All this to say, her and Logan were on good terms and Rose was going to keep it that way. Rose came out of her thoughts. "No, I don't mind at all," she told him truthfully with a smile. She kind of wished Henry hadn't brought the duel up. She knew it was just a sport, but it made her feel like an absolute failure. "We have some classes together, but I don't think we've met officially, no." Rose smiled at Logan courteously. "It's nice to meet you. I'm Rose and this is Chaska," she said, motioning to the graceful cat who had perked up at the smell of a new person as well as a new cat. Chaska climbed over the trays of cookies, trying not to get her precious paws in the frosting, so she could go greet the spotted cat that had joined them. He was wearing a hat, and Henry refered to him as Sherlock. "Oh, his name is Sherlock? That is absolutely adorable. The hat is fitting." Rose wished she could have been as creative as Sherlock or Loki, but she had been looking for names when she had saved up enough money to get a cat and decided that if she would choose between the four or five names when she got to the Magical Menagerie to buy her cat. Chaska was a goddess of the stars, and Rose thought that was a cool twist on her own last name. Plus, Chaska's silver fur made her look like a star anyway.

Chaska was usually very friendly with other pets, so it came to no surprise to Rose as the Silver Siberian held out her nose to sniff the new cat in a friendly matter, her whiskers twitching with curiosity. "She's friendly, don't worry," Rose reassured Logan. Some pets were really unpredictable and could get agressive at any moment, but as Rose had observed her over the time they had spent together, she had learned that Chaska probably just thought of herself as too good for any of that. She was normally gentle and down to earth, but she could get naughty and needy, and she was definitely the queen of drama. She wouldn't ever hurt anything unless it was threatening her or those she loved. Rose wasn't sure Chaska knew how to fight, either, but maybe she would prove her wrong one day.

Once Chaska had greeted Sherlock, she would then greet Logan, walking over to the Hufflepuff and sniffing her before deciding that she belonged in a lap and that Logan's was satisfactory enough. Or maybe she just wanted physical affection. The fluffy cat climbed down onto the bench and then stood in Logan's lap, looking up at Logan expectantly, meowing loudly. That was another thing about Chaska. She was very vocal, and sometimes Rose had entire conversations with the cat about their days. Of course, Rose couldn't really understand what Chaska really meant and made up both sides of the conversation.

Rose sighed. "Oh, I'm sorry. She's a diva of a cat, and you can just pick her up or tell her to get off if you don't want her there," she said bashfully.

Logan asked them how they were, and though Henry didn't respond, Rose said, "I'm doing alright, thanks. How are you?"

Logan grinned at Henry and laughed slightly. "Rose is correct, you can be as boring as you want today. Plus, people snog in the hallway no matter what time of year it is, the flower petals are just a little something to make everything look pretty. If they annoyed you this much, I will make sure to find a Slytherin to cover your bed in them." Logan flopped onto the bench beside Henry as he dragged her down. The Hufflepuff girl was in an especially good mood when he mentioned the biscuits.

"I have more in my dorm room if they are not, so ha," she stated as she smiled over at Rose. Logan had slightly wished Henry had mentioned Rose being there beforehand, as she wasn't sure how much resentment the girl held with her after their first duel, but Logan was going to act like nothing was wrong anyway. The Hufflepuff's face lit up at the sight of the long haired cat. Logan's first cat, Einstein, had been long haired, and she kind of missed it.

"We do know each other from the duel, but I doubt that counts as actually knowing someone. It is wonderful to meet you, Rose and Chaska. I am Logan and this is in fact Sherlock. My aunt loves to buy hats for him," Logan glanced over at the cat and grinned at the sight of the two cats getting along. Sherlock never really interacted with cats other than Loki, so it was nice for him to have another cat to interact with.

Logan watched as the cats interacted with each other and laughed as Chaska came over and sat in her lap, slowly she ran her hand down the cats back, feeling her soft fur. Sherlock, apparently jealous, trotted over and climbed into Rose's lap instead, wanting just as much attention as the other cat was getting. "Oh, it is fine. But, if Sherlock gets too needy, just pick him up and move him. He gets jealous sometimes."

Slowly, Logan pulled six of the biscuits over to her to start decorating, since she actually had the biscuits in front of her, she was able to better think of the designs. "I am great, thank you for asking Rose, since someone else doesn't seem to care." Logan glanced over at Henry with a smile on her face, as she was talking about him. "I have eaten about a half dozen biscuits since I got the tin my aunt sent me earlier." She loved the slightly burnt biscuits. Slowly running her hand down Chaska's back again, she started decorating the first of her biscuits.
Logan decided that she was going to decorate the biscuits for Henry first. She already knew exactly what she was going to decorate his with, so it was going to be easier. She started off by covering the first biscuit in a cream icing, although the icing was lumpy in some spots. She covered all of her other biscuits in the same icing, liking the color of it. She had to wait for the others to dry, but it seemed like the first already had. She took the green and silver icing and slowly made as straight of lines as possible going horizontally across the biscuit. With this icing, she had to make sure she moved the icing before it dried. Slowly she drew vertical lines through the green and silver icing, alternating between going up or down so there as a strange smudged design across the biscuit. She decided she wasn't going to do anything else with that biscuit.

The Hufflepuff moved onto the next biscuit, deciding she was going to stick with the green and silver colors. She made sure the icing was in a spot where the others were able to reach the icing if they were going to use the same colors. This biscuit was simpler than the others. She slowly made open centered circles around the biscuit. The circles ranged in size, some leading off of the biscuit and others being fully showing. She made about eight different sized green circles before shifting to the silver and only making seven. Some of these circles overlapped with the green ones, but she found that they still looked nice, as long as the icing didn't smudge and mix with each other.

The final biscuit for Henry, was not as hard as the first two. This biscuits was only green and silver checkered, although none of the lives ended up straight and had somehow managed to get silver icing in the green. She wasn't sure how she managed to make that happen, although it was clear what the design of the biscuit was supposed to be.

Logan finally moved onto the last of the biscuits, the ones she had decided were going to go to Rose. The first biscuit, she made almost the exact same as the first biscuit she decorated for Henry, although she made the stripes red and gold. The lines were still horizontal on this biscuit. Although she managed to make the lines smoother on this biscuit. Although the biscuits looked the exact same, Logan preferred the gold and red over the green and silver.

The next biscuit, Logan made like the second biscuit for Henry. It wasn't hard, although she only made seven red circles on this biscuit, most of which where rather small circles. The Hufflepuff slightly regretted making the circles so small, but it was too late at that point. She moved on to making the gold circles and made seven of these circles. There was a little variation in the size of these circles, but they were still rather small. She decided to move onto the last biscuit though.

The brunette didn't want to make this biscuit checkered like the last one for Henry, so Logan gently set the gold and red icing back in the center of the table as she grabbed two different shades of pink icing. Logan had no idea what she was going to do to make this biscuit look good, as she wasn't the most creative person, but she knew it was going to be pink. The girl grinned as she thought of making the biscuit look splattered. Slowly, she started to make the small filled circles across the biscuit, alternating between the different colors of pink. She attempted to make it seem as random as possible, although some sections seemed to look like they were made on purpose. Logan only continued, not caring as she still thought the biscuit would look good. It didn't take long for Logan to finish this biscuit, or any of them for that matter, as she wasn't going to spend a long time on decorating the biscuits if they were only going to be eaten.

Loki seemed rather preoccupied with sitting next to the two tweens and watching the decorating besides the fact that the feline took another cookie for Chaska as Henry looked up from finishing his third cookie with a smile toward Rose as he spoke " their getting in the spirit of valentine's," a smile grew on his lips while the twelve year old watched Rose talk to her cat about eating biscuits or cookies depending on how one called them. Henry decide not to scorn Loki over it since he was still training the cat whom was pretty smart and was picking up on most tricks just not all of them not yet at least.

Their conversation was slowly fading before Logan got that at least in Henry's opinion as the boy rolled his eyes slightly in a jokely manner as the two girls replied to his comment before opening his mouth to reply to Rose only to find that Logan beat him to it. The twelve year old would side Logan a bit before giving an smile as he replied to her "no one said I was annoyed by them, just rather not spread them aimlessly through the corridors to impressed someone," the boy then added with a laugh " not that I have anyone to impress to begin with."

The twelve year old would then jokely lean on Logan as he mostly spoke to her as a joke " since either of us have anyone we fancy, want to sit around with me tomorrow eating chocolates robin?" Not his favorite food but he did enjoy sweets every now and then as he jokely mentioned his best friend not having a love life before shaking back a few strands of hair as he spoke " and if you can find a slytherin boy brave enough to go into the snape dorm then I'll give you a whole box of chocolate frogs," The comment was directed toward Logan mostly since she mentioned it and the Snape dormitory was one of the mischievous forms there was not to mention it tended to be filled with either bullies or a lunatic which he referred to as Selim who had a odd habit or two at least in the boy's opinion. So Henry doubted his best friend could get a Snape boy to do it and so he didn't think the probability of another slytherin entering the dorm was that high either.

As the two girls properly met each other as well as their cats, Henry went back to decorating his now fourth cookie which at times he found it hard to see the lines and sometimes has to squint to apply the frosting not that anything struck the twelve year old as odd the second year moved past it and seeing as nothing was too noticeable knew that the others wouldn't have noticed either.

The boy just started on his fifth when Loki noticed that the other cats were climbing into laps and almost demanding attention. The orange feline didn't care for affection that much so he just laid down the table and watched the display occasionally giving a slight meow as if to say "what's the big deal of receiving affection from humans?" The feline eventually laid on it back still watching the two before giving another slight meow toward the two cats as if to say "I'm a god, a cat god! Wait no a all mighty awesome cat god! Yes, I like that sound..."

Henry would eye his cat while Loki somehow wander off before returning with another cookie and dropping it in Sherlock just like he did for Chaska a few minutes ago. The orange feline would retake his seat only this time the cat would sit straight up and almost puff out his chest as if he was proud on what he did.

Henry would look away from his cat still working on his fifth cookie, as he noticed that the lines weren't even but not bringing them up when he heard Logan's voice before wrapping his arms around the girl and saying mostly as a joke, " I care, just I didn't care for asking there's a difference," a smile broke out on the boy's lips before letting go of his best friend and continuing mostly as a joke, " so you came to restock your biscuit supply then?"

The twelve year old acted different depending who he was around. Mostly the second year was quiet quiet and rarely ever joke around but when he was went someone he was close to or knew for a while such as Logan then the boy tended to smile more and even start to joke around which explains why he sometimes acted differently when around Logan and Rose.

After returning toward his cookie still finding it hard to see the frosting lines at times but shaking it off as the twelve year old spoke toward Rose, " so are you and Eyre doing anything tomorrow, Rose?" Barely turning, the boy would eye Logan and barely open his mouth as he mouthed toward his best friend, "Eyre is Rose's boyfriend."

Turning back to face Rose while giving the red head a slight smile before slowly bringing the frosting bag up and continuing working on his fifth heart shape cookie or biscuit as the twelve year old couldn't get over the fact that at certain points he couldn't really see the line and had to squint at moments to recognize the line but didn't pay attention to the fact and just shook it off not giving it another thought.

As the second year didn't put any attention or made a big deal over it, no one else could have noticed it either however the twelve year old would think about doing a seventh one. For Alec Mason, the gryffindor was his opponent or one of them in his first duel but either held anything against the other at least Henry didn't think so.

Anyway the twelve year old remembered receiving a leather jacket with a santa sitch for both him and his orange feline; Loki during the secret Santa errand. So the twelve year old thought about repaying the gryffindor by giving him a cookie from this errand although it wasn't much so perhaps the second year word should give him something else as well? Perhaps a knitted hat or something or maybe some other type of candy? Or maybe nothing... mostly since Henry didn't know how he would even decorate a cookie for Alec... maybe with a red frosting outline with gold frosting smoothed out in the middle then a few sprinkles on top? That could work but the second year was still having second thoughts on the matter...

Bringing himself back to reality, the twelve year old would place his fifth cookie or biscuit in the like of cookies before placing the sixth in front of him and getting started on the last still with a smile on his face as he looked up on the three cats now at the table which in Henry's mind were all so adorable before looking from his best friend to the red hair of his close friend and future step sister glad that they were all having a good time.

The twelve year old then remembered their second stage duels, his duel happened at the same time as Logan's. So the boy could see glimpses of hers but missed Rose's only stopping by the room for a few minutes before heading back to training for his own the next day however he had a feeling theirs didn't go that good either. The boy fell unconscious during the end of his so he couldn't watch the end of Logan's or help his third year partner in theirs, sort of obvious both still going on to what might have happened during the duels not to menton also Rose's but wasn't sure if he should mention the second stage duels or not...
The first cookie was for Henry Llewellyn whom is a ravenclaw and a close friend so it would have a rather thin blue outline around the heart shape cookie then the center would be covered and also smoothed out a bit with green frosting. The cookie design was simple but it looked good besides maybe the blue line was a bit too thin at points and the green frosting as a but lumpy at one part or another.

The second cookie had a orange outline around the heart shape that was almost too thick at points. However in the center of the cookie was a simple outline of a face of a rat in a rather light pink type of frosting, the details of the rat are two little eyes, a little dot for the nose, a small line for the mouth, and a few whiskers on the side which this cookie is for Alexa Mackenzie who owns a rat and is in hufflepuff to explain the design and color for the cookie.

The third cookie has two outlined around the heart shape and seem to be around even for for. The line closest to the edges of the cookie is in yellow frosting then the next line next to it around the heart shape cookie was in orange frosting with the middle having two rather short lines crossed that are meant to be weird looking wands done in brown frosting this cookie is for Logan Baird whom is a dueler explains the crossed wands and also a hufflepuff to explain the frosting color choice.

The fourth cookie would have a crisscross pattern of red and a dark type of pink frosting covering the whole cookie. After the frosting dries then in a orange frosting two little eye stilts almost would be placed at the top center of the cookie below that a little triangle nose then a small mouth to represent a cat face. That cookie was for one Rose Moon who owed a cat and was in gryffindor two of the main inspirations for the cookies design.

The fifth cookie has again a rather thing outline around the cookie that at points wasn't really even in dark green frosting. Then in the center of the cookie is a snake curled up in green frosting with eyes done in sliver frosting for Cash Ironwoods a slytherin friend.

The sixth cookie has a rather thick and maybe even a bit lumpy outline of the cookie in brown frosting alone with a thin layer of the brown frosting smoothed out in the center. Once that dries then in black frosting words that appeared a bit uneven in black frosting would read; everyone has a story. That cookie was for Robyn Finely the librarian at Hogwarts which explains why the cookie looks like a book.

Rose laughed at Logan's next comment. "She makes a good point. People do that stuff even when it's not Valentine's Day. Plus, flower petals are everywhere in't spring anyway." She smiled slyly, and looked up from where she was concentrating on her cookie to glance at him. He would see mischief in her eyes. "That is a fabulous idea, I'll tell one of the Slytherin boys I know." She wouldn't really, of course. She didn't know any Slytherin boys too well, but she definitely knew one or two. Her sarcastic tone emphasized that she didn't really mean it, and she didn't think Logan had really meant it either, though it had been a little hard to tell since Rose didn't really know her that well at all. More likely than not, Henry would not go to bed one night only to find that his bed was covered in a thick layer of flower petals for him to clean up before he could go to sleep, but the joke was the part that had actually contributed to the conversation. Well, at least if it did happen, he wouldn't know which one of the girls it was or if it even was them.

Henry asked Logan about spending time together the next day, and Rose didn't want to intrude, but her curiosity got the best of her. He had told her a while ago about him having a girlfriend by the name of Miranda Everest. They had gone trick-or-treating together, but now he was saying there was nobody he fancied. "October was a long time ago, but I thought you said then you had a girlfriend. Did something happen with Miranda? Miranda Everest, right?" She would probably embarrass him or look like a really bad friend not being caught up with his love life. Maybe they had a falling out? Maybe one of them got a new romantic partner? What if their possible breakup had really really hurt Henry and Rose didn't know? What if Rose hadn't been there for him? Of course, it was likely they had just parted as unlikely friends, but Rose's mind only jumped to the extremes when she asked about what had happened.

Logan probably knew what had happened. Rose realized that with a little pang of guilt, though neither of them would be able to see it on her expression. Logan probably knew.

The thought that him and Logan had crushes on each other did spark in her mind for just a moment as he invited her to spend Valentine's Day with him. Very cliche. But Rose was pretty sure that they didn't see each other in that way and were just best friends, not interested romantically. At least, Rose thought. It would be especially awkward if Rose was totally unaware that they were dating. But of course, she knew they weren't and were just best friends. She definitely did digress.

"It's good to meet you, too, Logan. And Sherlock," Rose replied with a smile. She liked Logan already. She was sarcastic and yet sweet, much like Rose herself. Rose found herself comparing the two girls at the table. They both had adorable and needy cats. They were in different houses, yes, but Rose didn't think they were that much different personality-wise. Well, at least on the outside. They were both having fun currently, but Rose could sometimes act very different, especially around people she knew really well. Their biggest difference would have to be either their skill in dueling or their luck in dueling, which Rose wasn't sure whether was more present in either of them. They were both really good friends with Henry Knight, even though Logan was classified as his best friend when he mentioned her and Rose was a couple steps below, known as one of his close friends. At least she was up there, though.

Was Rose jealous of Logan Baird? No. She just seemed so happy and comfortable, and Rose's presence hadn't seemed to have phased her in the slightest. Rose wondered if she had even known Rose was going to be there when she accepted Henry's invitation, or if she had been just as in the dark as Rose had.

Okay, so maybe Rose was a little jealous of how happy and carefree she seemed, while Rose was watching her actions as to not make a bad impression.

"So why did you pick the name Sherlock?" Rose asked, curious about Logan and also intending to keep moving the conversation along. She glanced up at Logan from her biscuit decorating. "It's a very unique name. I don't think I've met a cat before with his name. Did you read the books or watch any of the movies?" She meant on Sherlock Holmes when she said that, but maybe she should have clarified. She didn't know Logan's blood status, so she wasn't sure if Logan had ever even heard of Sherlock Holmes, the books, or Sherlock Holmes, the movies. They were muggle things, and if Logan wasn't familiar with muggle things or muggle culture, she could definitely have never even heard of Sherlock Holmes before. Or she could be very familiar with Sherlock Holmes, and that was exactly why she chose the name. Maybe she just picked the name because she thought it was really cool. Rose hadn't watched any of the movies or read any of the books herself but she had definitely heard about them and thought it was a very cool concept.

Sherlock (the cat, not the fictional character) apparently wanted in on the physical affection as well as Chaska, and Rose chuckled with a big smile, feeling like she was chosen specially. He could have sat in any other lap but hers, but he had chosen her. Rose. She was worthy. Rose started to pet him, careful not to move his hat from his head, saying to him, "You're handsome, huh, boy?"

Rose smirked at Logan's comment that she had eaten six biscuits already, before even coming here. Rose usually wouldn't do something like that. She would space out the eating of any of the treats or sweets she had, so that she could savor them as long as possible. Even when she was eating them, she sucked on some sweets in her mouth for a long time. Her siblings were the exact opposite and didn't take long at all to eat their desserts. Rose would often have a secret stash where she would keep all her candy, eating just a little bit every night. She was the kind of person who spent a lot of time making the best out of whatever she had. It could be anything, anything at all. She wasn't going to waste a single bit of it, but instead use it to her advantage and use whatever it was for the best. She always saved the best food for last on her plate, and had even saved up one-time use things for special occasions (or, sometimes special occasions weren't super special, they were just when she felt like using them). It could be anything, really. Candy, supplies, light, electronics, even time. Rose never wanted to waste a single second of time doing something that wouldn't help her or wasn't fun. She liked to think she had her priorities straight in that way. It just happened to be candy and sweets in this instance.

Anyway, she had a stash of candy, even now, here, at Hogwarts. She didn't think anyone knew where it was, but if any of them peeked behind the scarlet blankets hanging over the side of her bed, they would see a box under the four-poster that held candy inside, waiting to be eaten at the right time. Rose was spreading it out over a longer period of time. It wasn't like she had a schedule or anything. No, she didn't have a schedule for eating different candies at certain times. But she just spaced them out in her head in a way that made sense. She would eat around this much candy each night. It didn't really make sense to Rose why she would eat six biscuits already, unless they were little biscuits. So maybe they were more different than Rose thought, Rose being more analytical and organized while Logan was a little more carefree.

Henry probably needed a carefree person like Logan in his life. Being so anxious, his thoughts could probably get him down sometimes, but Logan was the kind of person to make you feel better after a really long day. And Henry would be the one to let Logan dream, but bring her back to Earth sometimes. She understood why they were such good friends and why they had stuck together for so long throughout their lives. It made sense why they were friends. It made sense why they were best friends, too.

Rose scrunched her nose at Henry teasingly, twisting his words just a little bit to add a little more humor to the conversation. "So it's not like you don't care, you just... don't care. You know, that weirdly sounds like not caring to me." Rose then picked up the icing again, continuing to decorate her biscuits while petting Sherlock with the other hand. It was a little difficult to multitask petting Sherlock with her left hand while using her right hand, which was her dominant hand, to decorate the biscuits in front of her.

Rose had always been right-handed, and she didn't know anyone that had told her they were left-handed. She had probably met plenty of left-handed people but she hadn't talked about it with anyone, she didn't think. Well, nobody of significance. Some of her classmates in muggle school had bragged or complained about being left-handed, which she thought was a little obnoxious, but Rose could live through it.

Anyway, she was actually doing better than she thought at absentmindedly petting the spotted cat in her lap and decorating the biscuits in front of her with only one hand. The most difficult part was that some of the tubes were harder to squeeze out of and were really meant for two hands, but Rose could do it. She was actually just a little bit proud of herself that she was multitasking like she was, which was a different feeling to have as Rose most of the time put herself down in her thoughts. She never thought of herself as doing anything particularly good, or taking pride in anything that she was doing. Not even getting good marks on schoolwork- that was just an expectation she had to meet. But she hadn't had any expectations for this and she doubted a whole lot of other people would even try this, let alone actually do well at it.

Chaska eventually climbed out of Logan's lap and back onto the table, sitting on her back legs and surveying what was happening. As a cat, Chaska didn't know what they were doing. All she knew was that those biscuits probably tasted good with all the colorful stuff the humans had put on there. Like, real good. Hopefully that was right. Rose hadn't tried the biscuits yet, but she knew some biscuits like this could be really bad and just taste like chemicals. Same with vanilla cake or icing. These biscuits might be sizing up to look pretty good, but Rose didn't know if they really would taste good or if they would taste like they were bought cheap from a store. Rose didn't think so. Honestly, any of the food she had tasted at Hogwarts so far had either met her standards or blown the roof off of them. It would definitely surprise the Gryffindor girl if these cookies were so bad she didn't want to eat them. And Rose had low standards for food, too! Even if she didn't like something, she would eat it anyway because you can't waste food. She knew these heart-shaped biscuits would be just as good as the other food at Hogwarts, no matter who had made them.

Rose blushed when Henry asked her if her and Eyre were doing anything for Valentine's Day. The redhead shook her head bashfully. "Probably nothing too notable or special, but you never know."

Logan grinned at Henry and playfully stuck her tongue out at him, "I will find someone to put flower petals on your bed. It may take a while, but I will find someone." Logan doubted she would actually put flower petals all over Henry's bed, but if she managed to find someone to do it, she would. At the mention of chocolates and not fancying anyone, the Hufflepuff laughed. She listened to Rose mention the flower petals in spring and grinned even more, oh she was going to have so much fun with this.

"I can hang out with you until tomorrow night, then I actually do have plans," she informed the boy without giving away to many details. She didn't really want the boy to know that she had signed up for the Valentines dinner, although she didn't have a reason to not tell him.

The brunette glanced over at Rose as she started to ask about Sherlock's name, it made Logan happy that Rose held no bad feelings after their dueling loss. "My mother used to read the Sherlock Holmes stories when I was younger. When I was going to get a cat, he was attempting to crawl out of the pen to play with something. He is rather curious, so I thought Sherlock fit him well." Logan couldn't remember the last time she actually explained to someone the reasoning of her cat's name, but it reminded her of her mother and how curious the little cat was.

Logan glanced at Sherlock with a laugh as Loki gave him a biscuit, now her cat was going to be on a sugar high for the rest of the day. She didn't really care though, as most of it was going to be spent in her dorm anyway. Sherlock was distracted with Rose though, even when Chaska got out of Logan's lap, he continued to sit in Rose's, purring happily.

The Hufflepuff was not expecting Henry to wrap his arm around her shoulder and she laughed as he mentioned not caring to ask how she was doing. She continued to laugh at the mention of restocking her biscuit supply. "Yes actually, if I run out I will be grumpy," Logan didn't want to ask her aunt to send her more biscuits, as she had only sent them a few days before and she would get in trouble for eating all of them so quickly.

While Henry and Rose spoke a bit about Eyre Reeves, Logan started to wonder about the last weekend of February. It was two weeks away, but Logan wondered if she was going to be watching Loki. She spent the time that Henry and Rose were talking to word her question without giving away too much information, as she wasn't sure if Rose knew about Henry's problem. "How is everything with the furry problem Henry?" Logan glanced at Loki as she said it, hoping maybe Rose would assume she was talking about the cat as Loki could be a problem some days.

I'm sorry for the late response
Henry started work on his fourth cookies as he heard Rose and Logan speak with a slight eye roll as the two girls seem to be gaining up on him before he showed a grin on his face and he spoke" can a guy just not like public acts of affection," while his words sounded like a joke and the second year added a laugh to the end of his sentence there was a part of him actually that meant what he said. Kind of, since the twelve year old didn't care for public acts of affection but there was a small part of him that never understood why people did them or there purpose having for the most part grew up in a household were public acts of affection rarely was used.

Finishing up the decorating on his fourth cookie as he set it in the line next to the others when he heard Rose comment on putting flower petals on his bed which sounded like a joke before hearing Logan's in which the boy cracked a smile as he spoke"when you do find someone Robin, let me know and I'll give you a whole box of sweets from honeydukes," with a smile toward his best friend as he was more than certain that neither would be able to convince someone to enter the Snape dormitory to scatter flower petals on his bed. And the second year was even more certain that a Snape boy wouldn't do it either mainly since he couldn't imagine someone as odd and suspiciously interesting like Selim Faust or someone as cruel and rude as Wyatt Starkey would do it. On the other hand other was still a change Logan could pull it off if she got one of the first years; Michael Miller, Lio Reed, Mathias Pride, or Edward Beckett to do it then that the boy believed since the first years seemed innocent and not either idiot's or bullies yet.

Moving on to his fifth cookie again squinting at times to be able to see and correctly decorate the heart shape cookie but not making a big deal or really paying attention to it the boy moved on as the conversation continued.

"Do you have a date for valentine's day? Is it Elsian?" Henry teased his best friend while playfully nudging her in the side with a playfull smile on his face before turning back to his fifth cookie and continuing to decorate it as the conversation around him continued on.

However when he heard Rose's question involving Miranda Everest and him it took a while for the twelve year old to remember exactly who she was referring to. Things have changed kind of quickly for the second year since the start of the year and even through him and Miranda were close at the beginning that didn't mean they stayed that way but they didn't have a huge break up either. Henry figured that he spent less time around each other and fell a part so in January the next time that Henry saw her they broke up and the boy will admit that perhaps some words were exchanged in the form of yelling, Henry although wasn't phased by is mainly since he was a idiot when it came to love and had a crush on Alexa Mackenzie even if be doesn't currently know about it.

"Miranda and I spend less time around each other and grew a part so we broke up, nothing really," Henry spoke as he continued to work on his fifth cookie listening to the conversation around him as the two girls talked and the boy while working on his fifth cookie almost faded away from the scene and to his thoughts.

However were momentary stalled when Henry heard Rose talk about having plans with Eyre Reeves in which he must nodded toward before turning back to his fifth cookie as he listened to the two girls talk slowly fading back into his thoughts.

Miranda? It has been a while since we talked maybe I should find her and hangout with her but then again we haven't talked for a while and what if things are awkward between us or she doesn't want to see me again or she doesn't want to be friends or.. or.. maybe I should send a owl to Arthur to ask for help but what if he doesn't know or can't help or doesn't get back to me or what if the letter doesn't reach him or someone gets the letter and reads it! Maybe I should calm down, breath... in and out... this is suppose to be fun. It is fun, just relax and breath.

But how can somone relax when so many things could go wrong? When a moment that is filled with happiness turns into a moment covered in tears in a spit second? How can simone relax when danger lurks around every corner?

Distracted from his thoughts was Logan's story about how she came up with Sherlock's name and he smiled. It truly was a beautiful and amazing story, the second hear would take a pause in decorating his fifth cookie and turned to meet Logan's eyes as he spoke" that's a beautiful story and it's amazing where you got Sherlock's name from. I know we don't talk about your mum a lot Logan but you know if you ever want to talk about her then we always can," smiling a bit at the hufflepuff before turning back to his heart shape cookie and finishing up.

As the twelve year old finished his fifth cookie, the boy would place the cookie in the line next to his others before looking to pick up his sixth cookie to stay decorating his final and last cookie but a part of him was finally relaxed and having fun that he was enjoying decorating cookies with Rose Moon and Logan Baird. A part of him found that this was the most fun he had experienced in weeks maybe even months and if possible he didn't want this day... no this moment in time to end but the twelve year old figured it would end. All good things had to come to end a at some point right? The good times and moments in life soon need to end and become memories even if one doesn't want that happen necessary.

Henry placed his sixth cookie in front of himself and was ready to begin decorating it but got distracted by his best friend's voice so he placed down his icing for a moment to eye Logan and with a smile the second year old would speak" then I hope the-" pausing for a moment to continue this thought progress in French, " queen of cookies," pausing again only this time to finish the rest in English again, " doesn't run out of biscuits unless she already? Has she?" The second year would playfully eye his best friend with a grin on his face before breaking into a laugh for just a moment.

After finding control of himself and hiding his emotions the twelve year old would turned back to his sixth cookie and begun decorating the heart shape cookie or biscuit.

A part of the boy wanted to ask them about their second stage duels, mainly since the second year hadn't thought about his since when he woke up in the hospital wing after being hit unconscious and even then the twelve year old didn't necessary talked to anyone about it. Just mainly lay in the hospital wing bed and dwell over how he lost his second stage duel and let down his third year partner, team, house, and overall himself.

Around a week or perhaps two had past since that day and Henry still finds himself beating himself up about it so he figured perhaps he should talk about it with others. Not really sure how Logan's ended since their duels happened at the same time and for the end of both duels he wad unconscious, however as for Rose's duels Henry didn't go the other day of duels finding himself practicing and training that day for a duel that would become his first and only lost.

Not entirely sure how he should bring it up but seeing as conversation was quieting down around the group, Henry would glance at Loki as if to absorb the felines courage and bravely two qualities that the second year believe he lacked of when in reality he didn't before the boy wild glance back toward his heart shape biscuit and still decorate the sixth one as he spoke" second stage duels were a week ago, I don't think we haven't talk about them so how did you guys do," the twelve year old would then take a shaky but deep breath as thoughts filled his mind as he spoke" my partner; Astrea and I lost ares to ravenclaw," a part of his words felt painful to the second year as he spoke.

Yes we lost our duel against ravenclaw, because I couldn't land a spell or cast for that matter! Because my aim was terrible during the duel and the only thing I accomplished was getting myself knocked unconscious! That duel had to be almost too easy for the ravenclaw, they didn't need to dodge or put up with the after affects of being hit with spells! All they had to do was cast since their opponents were bloody awful! Santario was wrong, she should have let me leave the team. It would have save them the embarrassment and lost if I did... but no she wouldn't let me leave and now look I lost my second stage duel and brought slytherin further from winning the dueling cup!

Not only that I also Lee down my partner who this was new first duel and I let her down. I was no help to her, I couldn't provide aid or support because I was laying on my back knocked unconscious during the bloody duel which was entirely my fault! If only my spells worked and didn't backfire! If we had a clear cut strategy that could have ensured a win that I didn't mess up then perhaps we could have of won! Then perhaps we would have won but no we didn't instead I let down her, the team, the house, and myself... I'm a awful dueler...

"How is everything with the furry problem Henry?"

Henry was taken from his thoughts at the voice of his his best friend and nodded to her while meeting her eye to let her know that he understood.

Henry still haven't told Rose that he was a werewolf yet which is something that he should since their parents were engaged and the two will be living together during the summer that it would be kind of hard to hide but that time wasn't now since there were too many others around and one of Henry's fears was the whole school finding out.

Anyway so others wouldn't find out that he was a werewolf, he used the code word 'fury problem' when surrounded by others if he was talking about it with friends and before couldn't relate it to anything but now majority of times could pretend he was talking about his orange feline; Loki since the cat could he quite mischievous at times.

Henry would look over at Loki who was giving him a evil eye for using him to cover to his 'fury problem' and even gave a short meow before the twelve year old would meet Logan's eyes and speak" just like usual if you don't mind you'll be watching Loki for me that day since he can be a handful during it," Loki gave another short meow and to take out his frustration of being a cover up the orange feline would take a whack at Chaska head before sting back down.

Henry preferred Logan to take Loki during full moon nights since the boy didn't really trust to leave his cat alone in the Snape dormitory. Anyway the boy would turn back to finishing up his cookie when he would hear the following words from Rose Moon.

"So it's not like you don't care, you just... don't care. You know, that weirdly sounds like not caring to me."

Henry would grin a bit and eye his frosting bag with a idea in mind as a playfully grin spread on his face before he replied as a joke" I care, this is how much I care," the second year then took aim a bit and squeezed the frosting bag in his hand so brown frosting shot out at Rose and landed on her forehead and cheek.
