HELP! Setting #2
@Kayden Lind
Ashley's arms were growing weak from holding up the boy as they went as fast as they could through numerous, darkened halls and past concerned staff and students. When they got to the hospital wing, Ashley sighed in relief. Her shirt was damp with sweat and clung uncomfortably to her back and neck. Her hair was a mangled mess, and her glasses were asscue. But she had done it. The boy was here, he was safe. Ashley stood in the doorway, panting, with the boys arm slung across her shoulder. He was almost unconscious,. His bright blue eyes were slowly closing, and his face, once riddled with pain, now showed little emotion. Ashley looked at him. He had to make it. He had to. She looked at the clock. It was three in the afternoon. It felt later. Ashley needed to get a house-elf. Quickly.
"Hey. Hey! Stay with me, okay? We're gonna get you help. Okay?" Ashley said to the boy, her voice thick and raspy. Ashley carefully sat the boy down in a chair and re-wrapped the soaked sweater around his torso. "I'll be right back," she told him, trying to smile. Even if he wasn't fully conscious, she didn't want to seem worried or stressed about his horrible injury. She had to remain calm.

HELP! Setting #2
Kayden was out cold. The last thing he heard was "I'll be right back."
He smiled at that. He woke up in the middle of the afternoon, and he saw a bunch of house elves, working on him with certain herbs, healing his wounds.
A sudden shot of pain shut out through his gut, and he looked down. His shirt had been ripped off, and a collection of green leaves were resting on his wounds, seeping into the deep gash that botched his chest.
The pain shot again, more intense this time. Kayden thrashed in his chair, letting out a yell of pain. It hurt bad. He looked down again and saw the face of the girl who carried him. The worst pain yet, excruciating, shot through him, and her face was the last thing he saw before passing out.
He had a weird dream that he was kissing a house-elf when he woke up, and a grandmotherly house-elf was giving him a slobbery wet kiss on his forehead. She broke away and smiled. She sat down and looked at him.
"You have bad wound, sir. But we fix it a little bit. Remedia work sir. We wait for healer to come help you, sir."
Kayden smiled as she walked away. He looked around. The girl who helped him was sitting in a hospital chair next to him.
Kayden noticed for the first time her striking features, even though she was sopping wet. Kayden was too, now that he thought about it.
"Thank you." He muttered his voice still raspy.

HELP! Setting #2
@Kayden Lind
Ashley sat back in a chair, closing her eyes behind her glasses, while the house elf she had fetched fixed up the boy's wound, ripping open his shirt and slathering his chest with some kind of medicine. She was exhausted, and felt that she could go to sleep right there, in her muddy clothes sitting in the Hospital Wing. She had managed to find the house elf just in time, before he bleeded out. When she had gotten back to the chair where she had left the boy, he had looked as if he was in unimaginable pain. Just as she was closing her eyes wearily, a tinny voice sounded, "You have bad wound, sir. But we fix it little bit. It still hurt lots for some time. We did our best sir."
Ashley jumped up, her wet hair thumping her back. He was awake? He was! The boy opened his bright blue eyes wearily and looked at Ashley.
"Thank you," he said. Ashley felt a wide grin spread across her face.
"You're alive!" she exclaimed, laughing. She didn't know why. Of course he was alive, or he wouldn't be talking, for heaven's sake! Ashley took her damp hair out of it's tight ponytail and let it fall over her face. Much better. It didn't hurt that way.
Suddenly, Ashley realized that she didn't even know his name. "I'm Ashley, or Ash, by the way. We never got around to introductions. Does that," she pointed to his bandaged wound, wincing in sympathy, "Still hurt?"

"Ash." He laid back.Nice name. He was loopy, and he wasn't sure if it was from general fatigue or from the medicine, but it stank either way. He tried to sit up, but couldn't.
He realized he hadn't introduced himself.
"I'm Kayden. Kayden Lind." He looked outside. It was still raining, but the lightning seemed to have cleared up a bit. He grabbed his side."Does that still hurt?"
"Yeah, but I'm sure it will clear up soon, or at least I hope so."
He cleared his throat and looked over at her.
"Hey, uh thank you, for what you did. I don't think I would be here if it wasn't for you. I guess I owe you my life."
He fingered with the sheets of his bed. Then took a deep breath. It would be hard to explain to people, a large gash that runs across one's chest is not exactly easily explainable. It was a horrible feeling, being constricted to a bed. He knew that he would be better at some point, but it felt like a feeling of claustrophobia mixed with sleep paralysis.
He looked over at her. "Is there anything I can do to make it up to you?" He said looking at her blood-stained clothes, a wet mop of hair, and cracked glasses.
She had done him a great favor, one that he wasn't sure he'd be able to make up.

HELP! Setting #2
@Kayden Lind
"Is there anything I can do to make it up to you?" Kayden said. Ashley looked up in surprise and laughed, smiling at him. He was starting to look better. Hid eyes seemed more alive. She didn't know why she laughed. It wasn't a funny thing that had just happened. Kayden had almost died just an hour before. That was serious. Definitely not laugh worthy. But something in her just . . . was tired of always being serious. She needed to laugh sometimes, just like everyone else. What could Kayden do to make it up to her? She couldn't think of anything, really. It was reward enough that she had managed to get him here alive.
"Actually," she said, cocking her head, smiling slightly, "There are a couple things. Very little things, really. Hardly any trouble at all, I promise." Ashley paused and held up a finger. "Okay. One; I don't know exactly how you managed to rip your chest open, but I would really love it if you didn't do that again, especially in the middle of a storm. That's the first thing you can do to make it up to me. Two; I want you to rest and take it easy at least until a healer comes to completely fix your chest. That injury is very serious. And that's all."
Ashley reached up to straighten her ruined glasses and wind her disgusting hair into a messy bun. The Hospital Wing was dead quiet, deserted. The house elf had disappeared. Ashley looked at the clock hanging on the wall. It was almost ten o'clock at night. The sky was dark and silent.
Slowly, Ashly stood up from the chair next to Kayden's bed. "Well. I should probably be, um, getting back soon," she said, gesturing to the clock. She hesitated for a second. "Is there anything else you need?"

He smiled, then laughed a bit. He could appreciate someone who could be sarcastic at a moment like this. It pained him to sit up, but he did. It was nice having someone here at a time like this. Though he wouldn't admit it, it was intimidating being in the hospital wing alone. Well, there was a house-elf, but that didn't count. She sat in the chair, staring at him, making sure he didn't attempt to get about of his bed. It was nice having someone there, but it still scared him slightly to have someone staring at him. It was fine though.
She stood up.
"Well. I should probably be, um, getting back soon, Is there anything else you need?"
Kayden sighed. "Not really." He then rethought this as she began to leave.
"I mean- a little company wouldn't hurt. It kinda sucks just sitting here you know?"
He heard the sound of rain begin to patter once again on the castle, this time growing louder.
"I think I could get the house elves to bring us something warm. I think the old one likes me."

HELP! Setting #2
@Kayden Lind
Ashley smiled at the house elf comment. "Well, maybe I could stay for a little while. I'm just going to run back to the dorms back really quickly and change. I can bring some stuff back for us, too." It would be really unpleasant to stay in the Hospital Wing alone during a storm. The least Ashley could do was stay with Kayden for a while. What else did she have to do, anyway?
Ashley hastily rushed out of the Hospital Wing and up the stairs to Ravenclaw. She quickly shed her disgusting clothes and threw on a clean pair of black jeans and a Ravenclaw hoodie, and brushed her damp red hair until all the knots were out that were going to come out. On the way out, she grabbed a couple of chocolate frogs and a few books (why did anyone go anywhere without books, anyway?). She spotted a t-shirt that was way to big for her. It was her dad's, but it was old and soft and she liked to wear it sometimes, to remind herself of him. She grabbed the t-shirt as well, thinking that Kayden might not want to wear his blood-stained shirt anymore. After shoving her feet into a pair of black boots, she made her way back through the quiet halls to the Hospital Wing, feeling somewhat less dirty than she had before.
She opened the door into the silent Hospital Wing. "Hey, I'm back," Ashley said, making her way over to the bed and dumping everything she had brought onto the chair she had been sitting on.

HELP! Setting #2
It was night. Jenny had started to brush her hair out of its braid.
"Do you guys know Kayden Lind?"
Jenny stopped, already starting to panic.
"Rumor has it he had blood all over 'im."
"I heard he broke all of his bones."
" I heard he's dead but the professors aren't telling anyone."
Jenny let a sob escape her mouth. These rumors were wrong- especially the last one. But all rumors started from somewhere. Which meant her kind of sort of boyfriend was hurt. She grabbed a hoodie and rushed to the hospital wing. Not reading this would be the first time anyone saw her with her hair down.
"Kayden?" She ran in, tears streaming down. "Kayden? Kayden? Oh, there you are! I heard so many rumors I was so scared! Are you okay?"
She was crying as she sat down besides the bed.
Slowly she turned and saw Ashley.
"Hello, Muddy. Did you do this? I swear! Why are you here with him!" It was no secret they hated each other. But Kayden didn't know that. The two girls hated each other's guts. They were sworn enemies for life. Jenny lay a hand on Kayden's. As if she was protecting him.

HELP! Setting #2
Kayden was in conversation with Ashley for a while, enjoying her company. They had a lot in common, their passion for writing and reading, among other things. She was also pretty. But currently, that was beside the point.
He rested his head back and felt a wave of fatigue wash over him. It was going to be a long, painful night as his wounds healed. All of the sudden there was a banging on the door. Kayden jumped slightly, and he looked around to see who was there. C'min he muttered. The door burst open, and Jennifer walked in. Kayden smiled. Another person he liked.
"Hey Jeni-"
He was cut off. For some reason, she was really angry at him. Or... Ashley? Either way, she was mad.
"Hello, Muddy. Did you do this? I swear! Why are you here with him!"
Kayden felt himself get angry at this.
Not at Ashley, but Jennifer.
"Hey, don't call her that! She saved my butt! I'm a half-blood too ya know!"
She grabbed his hand, but he ripped it away.
"What are you doing here?"
He said the last bit quieter, as he realized it was the middle of the night.
The temperature of the room seemed to be boiling with anger, as he tried to judge Ashley's reaction.

HELP! Setting #2
@Kayden Lind | @Jennifer King
Ashley slowly stood King. Oh, no. Oh, god. Jennifer was . . . here. And she was Kayden's . . . girlfriend? Ashley didn't know how she should feel about this. Any of this. She liked Kayden. She really did.
"Hello, Muddy. Did you do this? I swear! Why are you here with him!"
Ashley's blood heated, her hands forming tight fists. But before she could respond, Kayden did. And he didn't sound . . . thrilled. "Hey, don't call her that! She saved my butt! I'm a half-blood too ya know!" He yanked his hand out of Jennifer's. "What are you doing here?"
Okay, something wasn't right here. Why wasn't Kayden happy to see Jenny? They obviously had a history. Ashley walked over to the other girl. Ashley and Jennifer did not get along well. At all. It was even safe to say that Jennifer King was Ashley's least favorite person. Or at least in the top three.
"You have no right to storm in here and accuse me of gashing Kayden's chest open! Why would I even do that? I found him like this and carried him back here. But you obviously aren't going to listen to me, so why not listen to Kayden, huh? He said it too. And don't call me Muddy. Like, seriously. You're asking for it." Ashley finally stopped ranting and took a breath, gathering her long red hair over her shoulder and glaring at Jenny. She had been told that her glare could be deadly. Ashley still couldn't believe it. Out of all the people she could have run into . . . she ran into Jenny. But Ashley shouldn't be here now that Jenny was. It didn't seem right.
Ashley handed the oversized t-shirt she had brought to Kayden. "Here. In case you need it. And . . . if you want me to, I can go. Now that Jenny's here. I totally get it, really." Ashley tried to smile. Why was she so worked up about this?
