About Time
Ok, as much as he liked Jennifer, those names were kind of cringe. Everyones were kind of cringe.
"Look we can just agree to remain unnamed. A group isn't a group because it has a name."
The sprawling countryside continued to scroll, and he realized they were nearing the end of the trip.
He looked around at the group.
"Look, when we get to Hogwarts things are going to be different. It's gonna be scary, we are all going to be at the bottom of the totem pole. So despite some of us disliking each other, it's important that we make sure to have each other's backs."
He continued to notice the hating looks that kept going the group. Then there was Eleanor, who was kind of just there, acting innocent.
He was sad that at some point this would have to end, but he was sure he would see them again at Hogwarts at some point. He looked to Rhea, who still looked murderous and stressed, then to Eleanor, who was still staring at the chocolate frog.
Then there was Jenny. Not much more he could say about that.
He was glad he had met these people, and he is sad it's ending.

About Time
"Tech doesn't work around magic? Weird! Maybe because it does some kinda disturbance or something. I wonder if phones have like, exploded or something because of magic exposure" Eleanor couldn't help but giggle at the word muggle, Rhea's comment reminded her of her own parents, especially her dad. She reached for her locket and carresed the golden material. She hoped the compass worked in Hogwarts since it had helped her many times before.
Elena liked the idea of a name, although something Kayden said didn't really sit right with her. The brunette looked up from the locket and showed disagreement with a slight frown Kayden's way "You know, forcing people to be friends with you doesn't really make you friends. It's not a 'whether you like it or not' thing, y'know? I mean, they made a truce and probably don't consider themselves as friends yet but it's a start, y'know?" She said, gesturing to the two other girls, this slight momwnt of seriousness being slight at Rhea's idea, making Elena stifle some laugher "That's so mean of them! Also the name is pretty funny but not sure if it'll do" She perked up at Jennifer's idea and tilted her head "Hmm..The Group, huh..Sounds pretty exclusive but.." She squinted her already narrow eyes and looked seriously focused, oblivious to whatever Kayden was saying. Naming was a thing explorers did all the time, like naming discovered islands or treasures. They needed something cool, something they had in common? Well, they went to Hogwarts, they were all going to be witches and wizards..What was something about Hogwarts that they all had in common? Badger, Lion, Snake, Raven. What else, what else?
"Savages? Nope, sounds mean..Hmm. Maybe something related to the houses or something with four..Four houses, four of us.." She began to mutter to herself. A snap of her fingers and a grin put it all to an end "That's it! Quadriheximals!" She quickly set to explaining "There's four houses, the word Quadri is a synonym of the number four which represents the number of people here and the Houses and the hex comes from hexes, as in the magic stuff!"

About Time
The Quadriheximals? Rhea contemplated that for a moment. It was... well, she could appreciate the mathematical reasoning behind it, and of course the magic part. Honestly, it was kind of ridiculous sounding, though.
Well, isn't that fitting for this group? A little voice in Rhea's head piped up. She crushed it like a spider with her mental thumb.
But she didn't want to hurt Eleanor's feelings. The little enthusiastic girl seemed so excited about the idea. Who was she to veto it? It's for Elena, Rhea convinced herself. I am not denying her this purely for her benefit. Not because I think it's a cool name. Which it isn't isn't. Isn't. Isn't isn't isn't isn't isn't isn't isn't.
Also, Elena had laughed at the name Rhea had suggested, and had actually spoken up about believing that you can't force people to be friends. As it happened, Rhea was beginning to experience an increasing fondness for the girl. She was like a little puppy with a wagging tail and an eagerness for new experiences that Rhea found herself wanting to provide.
"I like it," Rhea said decisively. "Quadriheximals. Heh, clever."
Unfortunately, the train ride was nearing an end. Rhea stood to retrieve her suitcase from above her head, unlatching it carefully to retrieve her robes. They were black, sweeping, and somehow elegant, and Rhea found herself looking forward to putting them on. She slipped them over her shoulders. The edge of the cloth accidentally-on-purpose whipped Jennifer across the face.
"My bad," Rhea said quickly, realizing what a petty move that had been. She then addressed Kayden.
"Oh, and I agree with..." She took a moment to think of a nickname for Eleanor (besides Elena, of course). "... Lenny. You can't make people be friends if they don't want to be. Stop forcing it. We're the Quadriheximals, the most dysfunctional rag-tag group of friends there ever was." With that, she jumped down from the seat she had been standing on to reach her case, grinning broadly.
"So. Now what?" she asked.

About Time
The train rumbled down the tracks, nearing its destination. Kaydens mouth fell open in as he caught a short glimpse of a tower in the castle.
He looked around at them.
"Whatever we're called, I hope to see you all again at some point."
He would miss them all exponentially, especially Jennifer. He would miss Eleanor's contagious perkiness, even though it could be annoying at times.
He would even miss Rhea's angry disposition.
Probably.
The countryside seemed to grow to an end, and they reached the train station. He stood up and grabbed his suitcase.
"Nice meeting all of you."
He cast a fleeting glance at Jennifer and gave her a quick smile.
He then looked at Eleanor.
"Look if you ever need any knowledge on magical stuff, you can contact me by owl."
He looked at Rhea
"Don't kill anyone. Please."
He grabbed his trunk and walked out onto the station.
"Wow." He muttered.
It was beautiful. The castle, the grounds, the giant lake he would have to cross, it was wonderful.
He picked up his suitcase and headed off towards his new life.

About Time
"Um, that's not a normal name... but sure, why not." She raised her eyebrows and looked out the window. They were getting closer now. She was excited, she had been waiting for this for years and years. She looked to see Kayden with his mouth wide open at the beautiful castle coming into view. She smiled. When Rhea hit her in the face with her cloak Jenny glared then shook her head and sighed. Whatever. Nothing could ruin her happiness as they got closer.
She pulled out her luggage to pull her cloak on and sit down once more. You could hear students outside the compartment laughing and too excited to stay seated. The train pulled to a stop and Kayden was the first to say his goodbyes.
He left and Jenny sat there. "Well, I know we are bound to see each other again, because fate likes to play mean tricks." She turned to... Lenny, as Rhea called her. "You're quite funny, I think I like you. Don't tell anyone. Good luck and see you soon." She turned to Rhea. "And you, I like your attitude. I really can't say I like you, but I know we won't be able to avoid each other. Bye." She grabbed her luggage and headed out with a huge smile.

About Time
Eleanor couldn't help but beam at the fact that her name idea was accepted. It felt nice to get her rather strange skills accepted by other people "It's settled then, we're the Quadriheximals!" She declared with a grin. She was very much looking forward to hanging out with them now! Their meeting reached an end as the train started reaching the station, something that kind of made her a bit sad. She wanted the train ride to last just a bit longer..But wait, they were going to the same magic school, she had nothing to worry about! She, like the others also begun to take her stuff. Sil would definately want her to stick around for the boat ride. She was really excited to see the castle up close
"Guys guys! Look at how big it is! I've only seen a few castles but this one's just..Woah!" She practically hopped up and down as she tried to look out the open window for a while "Whooo!" She laughed before pulling her head back into the compartment "I can't wait to get in there!"

The freckled brunette grinned at the other girl to show her approval "Lenny..I like it, Riri!" She redirected her grin at both Jennifer and Kayden's respective goodbye messages "Sure! Don't worry about your rep being tainted by me, Jens!" Her brows rose again and a smirk was back in place "My offer of those Spanish pickup lines are totally still up, you know?" She giggled slightly as she watched Jennifer's message to Rhea. It wasn't an 'I hate you' so it was good in her opinion
"You guys are all equally great and I'm super glad to have met you guys! I look forward to meeting you guys in school!" She wanted to lean forward for a hug but decided against it. She was going to say more but she could hear Sil calling her so she quickly headed to the compartment door, waving at them "See you all in Hogwarts!" With another smile and adjusting her glasses, Eleanor ran off to catch up with her sister

About Time
It had taken Rhea this long to realize that her breathing was no longer restricted or uneven, but something she no longer concentrated on. Of course, not that it had occurred to her, her inhale caught in her throat as she registered claustrophobia all over again. How irritating.
They were coming up on Hogwarts, and Rhea turned to look out the open window as the train gradually began to slow. The wind whipped her dark hair across her face, the choppy ends stinging slightly. But it didn't matter because the sights - the woods, the dark lake, the medieval looking castle in the distance, the beautiful sky - proved an adequate distraction. Her stomach dipped (not literally) like she was riding a rollercoaster.
Kayden stood up as the train approached the station. He addressed each of them respectively. "Obviously," she said coldly, as a response to his advice. "I'm not a murderer." But she offered him a small smile and a nod nonetheless. Who's to say what fighting would've sparked among the group if not for his calming presence?
Not that she was willing to be his friend. She still disliked him. He was arrogant, too convinced of his own... correctness. Like it was he who could save their relationships with each other.
Then Jennifer spoke directly to her, taking her by surprise. "... Thanks," Rhea replied automatically, but with more hesitation this time. "Er, I have certainly gained respect for you over the course of this experience. You are..." -she struggled saying this next part- "...cleverer than I am readily willing to admit. I think you'll get far in life. Not that I like you, either." She nodded, curtly, satisfied with this final interaction. Jennifer exited.
Finally, Rhea turned to Eleanor. Riri. Huh. Rhea had always thought her name was too short to have a nickname. "I hope to see you again some time," she said. "This train ride would have thoroughly lacked any joy or entertainment without your presence. Good luck - or good perseverance, I suppose, because luck isn't real - with everything. Thanks for our group name, by the way. I am grateful that we didn't end up with... with the one I suggested. Or worse, The Group." She shuddered. "Anyway, see you around, Lenny. Even if you are a bit annoying at times."
Rhea tightened the robe around her shoulders, grabbed her suitcases, stood up tall, and left the train. The girl inhaled the air, looking around. A rare broad smile expanded across her face as she surveyed her surroundings, preparing herself for the rest of her life surrounded by a universe of magic. She was here.
She was home.
