Interacting With/In the Proximity Of: @Marshal Mozor @Elena Jangleton
Location: In the snow some distance from the train.
There was a whirl of movement as Rafael coolly assessed the commotion outside, followed by the sudden interjection of Evelynn when she stepped up and seized control of the situation. Subsequently, the locks clicked into place and there was a brief moment of tense anticipation; their safety remained a questionable prospect. A fight was happening, that much Valentine could tell. Conflict had a way of making itself known to people who often engaged in it. As the five of them stood together unscathed in the room, it was then that he noticed that there was one member of their party who hadn’t been as unharmed as he might have thought. Jacob Harman had been dealt a staggering blow. The weapon of choice? A boomerang (?) that had somehow curved its way into their room, sailed over most of their heads and struck the poor boy in his face. The object was lying on the floor of the compartment, tempting anyone in the room to pick it up. But even then, it seemed that the pace of the action was starting to slow down.
Perhaps he had thought too soon. Without warning, an explosion went off somewhere at the front of the car, and the earthquake he had sensed seconds ago was upon them with a vengeance. He was next to the window, so he grabbed what he could. It was good that he had the sense to stick his wand back in his pocket, as he would certainly have dropped it if he was flailing around while trying to maintain his balance. Instead, his free hand darted for the black rose on the counter; his insignia of his growth as an individual, his little imaginary friend. It too was shoved into his pocket, perhaps a foolish choice at the time as he would shortly find out.
In an instant, he was weightless. All living things were equal in flight, with the exception of cats. The few senses he could muster detected flashes of white from the snow reflecting the glare of the sun as the ground beneath his feet parted from him. But this wasn’t from within the train cabin. No amount of dexterity would prevent him from skidding several times along the ground as he was flung out of the train, ripping bright red tears in his skin. He decelerated from train speed to zero over the course of several seconds, the only thing protecting him from deeper cuts were the long sleeves of his Gryffindor robes, now torn and shredded, leaving him more entangled than unharmed.
He didn’t know what it was that triggered the next series of movements, likely an instinctual fight or flight response to the loud roaring of the train’s wheel mere inches from him as he tumbled. Somehow, he knew to steer away from the treacherous tracks that would certainly crush him beneath the weight of the colossal locomotive.
Crack.
There was an incessant ringing in his ears. It was a few moments before he even began to move from his landing spot. The first breath he took was like the gift of life itself, after getting over the shock of his injuries. The sound of bones and flesh giving way beside him was something that would remain etched in his mind for eternity. But it wasn’t he who had been pinned under the weight of the train as it passed over. Leaning upon his elbows with a suppressed cry of pain, the first year’s disoriented vision focused at last on the broken form of Marshal Mozor just a few feet away, whose lower body seemed to lie partially in the wake of the train's tumble, pieces of broken bone sticking out amid his mangled flesh.
“. . . Hey. . .” he found himself muttering as he leaned onto the balls of his feet. He could feel the abrasions on his knees and elbows, stinging areas of raw flesh. The fabric on top of each affected area had been cleanly ripped off, along with the patch of skin that should have been there. Still, a burning fervor for survival kept him moving.
“Hey!” he repeated with more strength and certainty. “Are you alive?!”
As he lurched forward, he felt the blood flowing to his feet once again. He could still move. Good. This also meant that his cuts began to throb even more profusely as his body began to pump adrenaline through his system, crimson pooling under him. First things were first, he had to take care of the bleeding. He had a muggle first aid kit in his bag, but it was on the train. Instead, he began tearing off bits of his mutilated sleeves and wrapped them tightly around the joints where the abrasions were deeper. Gingerly pulling his wand from his pocket, he conjured an unusually forceful Lumos spell. After a few seconds of intense focus and overwhelming concentration, the tip of his wand began to overheat, producing a flickering white flame. It was a little innovation he had learned after Professor Vernatis warned them of the heat-generating properties of the Wand Lighting Charm. With a potent enough flame, he placed his wand against his bandaged joints. Teeth clenched, eyes wide, Valentine seared the more grievous of his wounds shut, his growl of pain almost seeming like it would shake the very ground he was standing on. It wasn’t a permanent solution and it certainly wasn’t proper medical aid, but this kept him together, if barely, and would keep him from bleeding out until he could figure out what to do. Mozor would likely see him then, standing in the aftermath of his self-cauterization.
He was thinking about the other members of his train compartment. Although he had only known Evelynn for the duration of the train ride, he found himself involuntarily worrying about her safety. Unexpectedly, his concern was further extended to Rafael D’spacito, the boy who had attacked him at the Fall Ball. After his phenomenal dance with Lydia Cooper that night, Valentine felt oddly obligated to ensure that her love interest was returned to Hogwarts in one piece. Yet, it was something more than just that. Little would the Quidditch Captain know, but Valentine considered his fire to be oddly endearing. Besides, one’s sharpness is determined by the quality of their rivals, right?
Almost immediately, this inward concern turned to rage as he pointed an accusatory tone at the boy whose ankle had been reduced to powdered bone and disfigured flesh.
“What the hell is happening?!” he exclaimed as if Marshall would know better than he did.

Katrina could almost hear Petal’s pleading everyone’s pleading, just to give over her wand. Katrina blocked out the imagined voices the best she could, but the damage was done. Later, when things calmed, she would continue to hear pleading in her head. What if she’d just gone along? Could they have avoided the future accidents from even happening. Would everyone have followed suit? Given over their wands, gotten out majority unscathed? But mussing about the past never was a healthy thing.
Katrina was just tall enough that she could reach up and punch the cowboy in nose. She knew she wasn’t strong, but the hit landed. The cowboy didn’t expect her to fight back. He expected her to docilely hand her wand over. She wasn’t giving up that easy.
The retaliation was a slap. Katrina saw it coming in the nick of time. Katrina ducked down, glancing up to see the hand brush where her head had been. That would have hurt. Katrina stood back up, moving side to side some, readying her next move. She might actually be able to do some damage.
WHAM!
From behind, someone would get a punch in Katrina’s jaw. She would let out an involuntary yelp and clutch her jaw with her hand. Pain ricocheted throughout her head. Katrina didn’t even have the time to look at her new aggressor when another head smacked with her own. She felt the taste of copper well up in her mouth as well as a headache spurring. She slightly nauseous and not quite as determined as before. Between dueling and the other events she’d partook in, she’d never actually participated in a real hand to hand fight. It hurt a lot more than she’d expected.
Katrina heard a cacophony of spells from behind her, she ducked down, making herself as small of a target as she could. She kept her eyes on the cowboys, hoping to dodge any attacks, occasionally looking back to make sure none of the spells hit her. Fire. Light. Colors. Magic. Then, out of nowhere, a huge ball of the brightest light, and Katrina looked right at it. She covered her eyes for a few seconds, trying to keep the damage as little as possible, but it was too late. As she let her hand down, there was a round shape covering the center of her vision that wouldn’t go away. Shapes seemed blurry and her eyes welled up with tears, not of pain, but reactionary.
Katrina returned to her feet after a few moments, still looking (or trying to look) at the cowboys. Her entire head was a spiral of pain. She saw one of the cowboys mutter something in the corner of her eye. Then the most wretched noise screamed through the caboose. The sound of metal twisting against it’s will, glass shattering, an explosion of sorts that physically hurt Katrina’s ears to hear and caused her to shudder. The floor started moving, shaking back and forth, as if someone were trying to pry it off from the rest of the train. Katrina lost her balance several times. The cowboys were trying to crash the caboose.
“EVERYBODY HOLD ON!”
Katrina dodged a suitcase that came dangerously close to her midsection. Looking back, she didn’t have much recollection of the train car rolling. It was as if her mind blocked out some of the trauma, similar to the Blossomball. She did recall not finding anything to grab onto despite her semi-helpful scream. Being hit by other students, the wall, the ceiling, the floor, hitting her head on something, again. There was a ringing in her ears as noise seemed to pause. Or perhaps that was the head trauma, she couldn’t be sure.
Katrina snapped into protecting mode the instant her ears stopped ringing.
“WE ALL NEED TO GET OUT OF THE TRAINCAR. STAY IN PAIRS,” Katrina’s declaration would likely be lost to the noise, but at least she tried.
She was still blinded by the bright light, she could only really see out of the corners of her vision. What she could see was terrifying. Despite her suggestions, again, she did the opposite. She could survive the train car collapsing, or at least, she figured she could. But other people certainly couldn’t. She needed to get those people out of one of the traincar.
Katrina’s plan was to get everyone out of the train car. Attend to any wounds. Maybe find a way to get trunks out and hope they had some kind of food and make a homestead. At the latest, everyone would notice that the caboose was gone by the time they got to school. Professors would likely come on brooms, then they could one by one be taken to the school. They only had to survive for a few hours. It was easy. They just needed to not kill each other in the meantime.
She would attempt to find a sort of exit. If she were to find one, she would start calling out. “If you can see me, come to me, get out through here. If you can hear me, come to the sound of my voice. Stay in pairs. Leave any personal belongings, except for maybe pets. We need to hurry!” As she would stay by the exit (Assuming she found one) she would give people whatever help she could, a leg up, a hand of support.

As soon as the light left her wand and the orb started to travel, Meenauh followed it hoping it would blind the aggressors enough to win them all time. Yes, a few more students could have been blinded by it. Worth the trade? As we've all found sooner — nothing was worth the trade.
A few steps forward and a sudden kaboom launched her senses backwards, halting her to a complete stop.
"Xailah!" her first thought was and it was exaggerated with all sorts of horrors in her head, she started to turn her head, but it was too late for anything. The floor went wild, the car started to roll, the trunks started to fall onto students and she had no option of what to hold on to. She dodged a few trunks and raised her wand:
"Immob-" she would start but the luggage was overwhelming and she only had to focus on dodging. A mild success. The train went round and round and it was no nursery rhyme. Meenauh stretched her hand towards the doorknob and pointed her wand to cast the gripping charm and... it completely got away from her. Everything from the wand movement to incantation. She growled loudly and flung the second hand towards the doorknob to stabilise herself during the rollercoaster ride. In the corner of her eyes she saw students falling off the compartments, sliding into each other in the most gore manner possible, hitting each other hard. In the total chaos (this is too weak of a word to describe it all) she couldn't see @Xailah Alptraum. Was she the closest to the explosion? Was she... alive?
The darkest thoughts were flying with the speed of light in her mind. She thought of parents, of her last words that she said to them. If they make it alive, the parents would know, how would they react? What would happen to the school? Will the trains be secure? The darkest of it all was that she actually said 'if' in her head instead of 'when'. A cold shiver went down her spine, accompanied by screaming of all the students around.
And then it stopped. The sounds were muffled for a while as if she was hit on the head. But as she didn't, it was only a special effect added to the moment the rolling stopped. She released the doorknob and fell to the bottom side of the train, which was lying on its side. Through the opposite window, she could see heaven skies. First thought tried to estimate the injuries of everyone. Then a strategy of how to help them. It seemed her mother's genes of a healer were activated and she needed to save them all. But the first rule was to call for help.
She'd hear a familiar voice trying to control the crowd, but the exact meaning of those avoided her perception. She was just lying and looking at the skies. She then pointed her wand towards the broken window and said: "Periculum!" — whether it was loud or a whisper, she wouldn't yet know. She wouldn't know where they crashed. But red sparks were always a signal. Help would come. There was no other variant in her dimension of variants.

The girl nodded silently as the lock clicked ensuring that no one would be able to barge in all willy-nilly without at least somewhat of a struggle. "We'll be alright now." She would tell the boy though judging from the sounds, shouts and thuds of whatever on earth was going on outside, Elena could tell they most certainly were not going to be alright. Whoever those odd-hat wearing people were, they seemed hellbent on exerting their will over this train and they had certainly done so in a very brutal manner. However, it seemed the Gryffindor had not yet quite grasped the fact that their situation was about to get a whole lot worse. Very much worse. At first, she just chalked it up to just normal noises that trains made having ridden the Express more times than she could count.
It was rolling. The train car was moving as it had been but this feeling was different. It was more unstable, more unshaky and not even a moment later, she found herself flung against the seat in a very violent manner hitting her head against the seat letting out a yelp of pain. "Yeouch!" The trunks came crashing down almost like raindrops as books, belongings and bags flew everywhere. Her immediate concern was Flutters watching with widened eyes as the cage hit the ground with a resounding thud which got a very angry hoot from the owl as it flapped it's wings in protest at the sudden turn of events. "Flutters! Hold on!" Elena cried crouching down to attempt to jiggle with the lock but that was quickly interuppted as their car toppled over onto the side, the glass shards flying everywhere as the window broke.
She barely paid attention to Marshal, her only concern was to get out of this accursed train car and to make sure her feathery companion was safe. A glance and immediatly, worry overtook her. In all the chaos, the lock had snapped open and the owl was gone. Where? Where was her pet? She looked around panickly as if hoping he would pop up on command. That was when all hell broke loose, as if their current predicament was not enough The girl felt herself teetering backwards as if freefalling and the momentum of the fall pushed her through the window, the jagged edges of the shattered window slicing into her skin as the girl screamed as she hit the snowy terrain, her torn Gryffindor robes stained with a bit of crimson that flowed from her cuts as the girl lay there groaning in pain barely aware of what was going on. "Help.."
What had even happened? She had just been in the compartment one second and than the next, she was somehow falling through the air. Another sound caused her head to tilt to the side, her cheek pushing against the snowy surface as Elena watched from her stricken position as the train car they were in there just mere seconds over passed over the boy she had been with and the yell of warning caught in her throat. Was he dead? There was no way, a thing of that size falling on him, it would be a miracle if he could talk. "Flutters.." The Gryffindor groaned raising a hand to her arm and instantly flinched at the touch. The glass had cut deep apparently as her hands were stained red with blood, she needed to get up. Get help. Get moving. If the train didn't finish them, the cold climate would.
Another voice filtered in to her ears but the girl barely paid it any mind. Her wand, she needed it. It had fallen out when she had been thrown out, no way to call for help. The girl tried moving her arm and instantly regretted it, the pain shooting up her shoulder as the blood flowed more freely. That was not the only open wound, the girl was sure as she gave up trying to sit up. They needed to get out of here, all of them. She was either going to bleed out or frostbite would take care of the rest. "Someone..please.." She would muster up her energy to call out as best she could in despite of her injuries and the pain as another hand scrabbled around in the snow hoping to find her wand. It couldn't be far, hopefully, it hadn't been crushed to bits on the train tracks. That would be a very immense loss compared to this. That, and Flutters. Where was he? Was he hurt?

@Griseldis Edelhardt @Katrina Walker @Vladimir Athanatos
Opeila was whimpering, the grip in her hair mercilessly tightening.
Vladimir told her to give them her wand. "Vladimir, what have you done?", Opeila asked through gritted teeth, the pain and fear clearly audible in her voice. This all didn't make sense to the Slytherin. They knew Vlad and Vlad knew about the attack. But they beat Vlad down...
No one listened to Opeila shouting or silent pleading, Katrina attacked the cowboy who collected the wands, Gris the one that held Opeila but she hit Katrina instead.
And Opeila got to pay the price, only a second later she found herself pushed forward. Her scream cut off the moment her head was slammed against Katrina, making her believe for a moment, that her head broke open.
For a moment, the Slytherin's view was filled with bright white light. She blinked, a disbelieving expression on her face. It burned, her whole head felt like it was on fire. Blood streamed down the right side of her face, from somewhere under her hair.
Belated, Opeila gasped. Everything was sort of blurry now, not to mention that it seemed to be spinning in circle. The second year pressed her eyes shut again, the tug on her hair magnified the pain. She almost missed Vladimir shouting something about a girl being a pureblood. Was Katrina a pureblood? And what did it matter.
Thinking hurt...
People shouted spells, the train was filled with loud noises, all feeling like needles stinging into Opeila's brain. Stop it, just stop it please...
And then there was actual light. Bright, white light, blinding her and again magnifying the pain in her head- and suddenly she was free. Without the cowboy's grip on her hair, she was stumbling around blindly- did she just fall against something or did someone grab her? Opeila couldn't tell. Actually she didn't even realize that she had lost her balance until she fell on the floor, her head colliding with something hard once more.
The Slytherin curled up on the floor, scared that someone might stomp on her. She couldn't see, she had no idea where she was, who was around her, what the faint rumbling in the distance was, or what the smell was that filled the air. Something burned?
... Of course someone casted incendio, why was she even wondering?
Was the train burning? Didn't cars explode when they were on fire? She had to get out. Opeila tried to push herself off the ground. Where was she? Where was everyone? There were legs around her, many legs, there was smoke- and everything still seemed to spin in sickening speed.
Her hands were moving on the ground, looking for something to hold on to, to pull herself back on her feet.
But instead of something solid, she heard a voice cutting through the others.
"WE ALL NEED TO GET OUT OF THE TRAINCAR. STAY IN PAIRS" Pairs. Who was near?
“If you can see me, come to me, get out through here. If you can hear me, come to the sound of my voice. Stay in pairs. Leave any personal belongings, except for maybe pets. We need to hurry!” She could recognize the voice now. Katrina. Katrina was trying to bring order back into the train. Katrina, who had Opeila's head slammed into her face.
Get it back together, and get up. If Katrina was still standing, Opeila would. Someone near. Who was near? A blurry memory of Vladimir getting beat up in front of her... Opeila pulled her wand out of her sock, maybe she would need it. Was the fourth year still on the ground? If he was, Opeila couldn't leave him behind, not after he took a beating trying to defend her. "Vladimir?" Her voice sounded different. Unclear somehow.

What the actual hell was Valentino fish boy here doing? Was his neck sore? He turned his head slowly, which earned a slight eyebrow arch and was more comical to her than anything else. The fact she was approximately a foot taller didn't exactly help her to take him seriously. He shuffled, seeming to imitate the footwork of a duellist, but it reminded Ana more of a small child wearing shoes that were three sizes too large. Was she morally obligated not to fight a small child?
Over the break, she'd spent a fair amount of time thinking about family and duty, which all boiled down to honor. Everything came down to that, it seemed. In any event, she'd resolved to endeavor to be more honorable, even if she wasn't totally clear on all that entailed. Still, fighting someone who was a foot shorter and two years behind her in magic seemed somewhat dishonorable. But then she was defending her best friend, wasn't she? If it solely been her they were speaking poorly off, she likely would have left it alone. People said what they would and with the exception of the rumors last term, she was able to ignore most of it. But it was Rafa they'd been talking about.
Evelynn's words earned an eye roll. Unless Evelynn had been stalking her (which in Ana's opinion was far more objectionable than a bit of violence here and there), the only instance of Ana being anything less than pleasant that Evelynn could have witnessed was her behavior at the Blossom Ball, which was arguably more impulsive than malicious. Certainly, she had done things to earn her reputation, but the majority of those had been relatively private. Well, other than fighting Scarlett in the hallway. In any event, Evelynn's words were proving Ana's point for her. She wouldn't dignify that with a response.
A person whose presence she had been utterly unaware of before that point then spoke. "Quick question - who are you and what makes you think your opinions are remotely relevant to this conversation?" Ana asked, her tone surprisingly polite considering how spectacularly rude her words were. She vaguely remembered him as a second-string player for the Quidditch team, which wasn't helpful, since he'd just mentioned that. Her expression softened slightly when he mentioned what had happened to his father over the summer. She of all people knew what losing a parent was like, and while Valentine and to some extent, Decipio, had earned her ire, this boy hadn't. There was a time when she would have made some comment about the subject that would likely be vastly inappropriate and hurtful. Instead, she merely shot him a glance that was full of less venom and turned her attention back to the people she was actually speaking to.
Rafa earned a skeptical glance when he said it wasn't worth it. He was probably right, but she didn't particularly appreciate him acting like he was the boss of her. He was her best friend and her Quidditch captain, but he was most definitely not the boss of her.
Her temper was somewhat beginning to simmer and then Valentine's odd behavior once more caught her attention. More accurately, his pitch-black rose. Her stomach turned as memories of fire and the cursed Blossom Ball came flooding back. While her anger had lessened slightly, the rose unnerved her far more than she let on. Outwardly, she was ready to decimate the designer fish boy and anyone else who spoke badly of her best friend. Inwardly, panic was building.
She scoffed at his threat to teach her manners. Her manners were perfectly lovely for people she considered worth them. She didn't care how good he was at the three spells he knew as a first-year, the situation was far too humorous for her to actually be willing to cast anything. Ana laughed at Evelynn's words and her wand lowered slightly. It was utterly absurd for her to attack a delusional designer fish boy. More dishonorable than not, which meant it was likely something she ought not to do.
Evelynn's words earned an eyebrow arch from her. Who said Ana disdained violence? Ana was a tremendous supporter of violence in most forms. It was brutish, to be sure, but it was her preferred method of settling arguments. Not that she settled most arguments with violence (although she wished she could), but it was a great deal more straightforward than words.
Evelynn would have done well to remember that her warning to Jackson didn't apply only to him. Ana was a year ahead of Evelynn. While Evelynn would likely be a more troublesome combatant than fish boy, Ana still knew an entire year's more spells. Still, the tension seemed to have somewhat passed and Ana's wand began to twirl from one finger to another. She wasn't going to put it away, if for no other reason than Evelynn had told her to. She glanced skeptically at Evelynn's prefect badge. As someone who had been a first-year prefect, she knew the badge wasn't some magical shield that made everyone do one's bidding. Still, it was yet another reason Ana should probably avoid fighting Evelynn unless absolutely necessary.
Wrinkling her nose distastefully, she was prepared to depart when something caught her eye over the fish boy's shoulder. Rafa's comment about Jaz earned a half-smile. The deranged cat was likely either napping angelically or had tried to plunder and pillage everything in sight, and to be honest, Ana hadn't the faintest idea which. Touching Rafa's shoulder slightly to get him to stop, she turned back to get a better look. She couldn't tell what, but it was movement that was definitely not the normal farms and hills rushing by on the way to Hogwarts. "Wait a moment, what was..." she said, her demeanor changed again. Rafa seemed to notice something was wrong and his wand was out. Ana's own suddenly stopped twirling and was at the ready. When she maintained a mask of outward calm and composure, her mind was racing and the panic that had been spurred by Valentine's rose was threatening to drown her. Not in a way that any would notice unless they were focused on her, which she doubted anyone was at that moment.
Shouts in the hallway caused her to change her focus once more. What the bloody hell was happening out there? She heard shouts like cowboys in old Muggle movies and after a moment a disturbing thud like a head hitting a door. The screams were unnerving and reminded her far too much of far too many events. Her grip tightened on Rafa as she prepared to venture into the chaos outside and drag him with her. Evelynn had other ideas and attempted to lock them all in. "We can't just stay in here and leave everyone else -" she protested, cut off by more sounds. Why Ana was so intent on helping unidentified schoolmates when she had moments ago been prepared to fight people in the same category was anyone's guess. Still, she was.
It was a bad idea, to be sure. Evelynn's attempt to keep everyone inside gave her a moment to think and consider that a fourteen-year-old was likely not the best solution to an unknown threat. The failed spell earned a glance from Ana, but she bit back several hilarious comments. Now was most definitely not the time or place. "We need a plan before- she began again, only to be interrupted once more by a boomerang. Why the fuck was there a boomerang? A small squeak of surprise exited Ana's lips as she ducked out of the way.
"We need a plan, now," Ana declared tersely, any pretenses of big words and flowing speech abandoned. "We need to-aaah!" She was interrupted yet again, this time by the train itself shifting. Not shifting in the way it was backward or forward supposed to, turning like a dog rolling on the floor. Ana's grip on Rafa's arm released in surprise and she went tumbling through the open door with a startled scream.
The far too familiar taste of blood filled her mouth as she landed. Disoriented, she straightened up slightly. The train was on its side, there was fire, people were bleeding. This was suboptimal.
Flashes of running through a forest interrupted her as she shifted and tried to think. The two events blurred together. In one, she had been frantically looking for her wand. She had that now, but she had wanted her wand so that she could get her broom. Her broom! If she could find that, she could fly out a window and see what the everloving fuck was going on from above. She always thought best on her broom. Right about then, she was thanking every deity she could think of that her broom always traveled with her. While her luggage hadn't been in the compartment she'd just tumbled out of, it had been in the car and was likely somewhere in the mess that had injured people.
"Raf, you and Decipio and the rest alright?" she called, her voice stupidly raw from screaming unnecessarily. To be perfectly honest, she couldn't remember the names of either of the two other boys in the compartment. She must have bumped her head or something when she fell, because, at the moment, her brain was a mishmash of spectacularly colorful curse words in five different languages. Still dizzy and disorientated, she began to frantically dig through the piles, desperate for her familiar silvery broom. As she shuffled and dug, it occurred to her that there were other people in the aisle.
"What just happened?" she forcefully demanded of no one in particular, glancing from one person to the next, faces blurred together. More importantly, where was her broom? She dug frantically. If she had any say about it, she would always rather be on her broom. She'd been flying in some form or another almost as long as she'd been walking, and right now in partiuclar seemed like a fantastic time for a different point of veiw.
Long story short, I survived

@Katrina Walker & @Everly CharltonHell promptly broke loose.
Spells, attacks, as the entire Gryffindor house and the individuals from outlier houses sprung into action. It seemed like Piérre had been one of the few pacifistic actors of the current disaster, and he had not only been completely foolish to think that he would end up unscarred from the pursuit but also any wiser as to what the purpose of this ordeal was. A bright camera-like flash suddenly pulsed, causing the young boy to gasp as the world became confusing, spotty mess of black, purple, white, and green. His eyes were trying to adjust and refocus on the world...
And that was when the explosion went off.
Unable to see, Piérre just barely noticed the suitcases falling and being hurled towards him. With a human-fall-flat style, his knees buckled in an almost inhuman fashion as he flattened himself just in time to watch the suitcase smash against the wall directly behind him.
Arching his back, using his stomach to reverse the momentum of his last movement and utilize his body to quickly scramble back to his feet again, Piérre was on his feet just in time to crack his head and slam himself against someone he couldn’t see (sorry Everly). With a cry, Piérre was helpless, tumbling in a maddening round and round fashion as the squealing iron and twisting steel wished to crunch inward and crush the children held therein. There was a moment where Piérre couldn’t tell which way was up and which was down, trapped in a limbo and centrifugal confusion as he fell head over heels and head over heels again.
Fire was directly behind him, the remnants of where the car he had come from was. Surely he cowboys must have been dead by now, or at least vanished by some way shape or form. Piérre felt like he was in a washing machine, or maybe a dryer, as adrenaline finally kicked up and decided to help the often weak boy. With a pair of bloodied hands, whose knuckles were raw and whose palms were marked with thin scars, Piérre wrapped his arms tightly around the only thing he could grab, before quickly tangling his gangly legs around it as well. Maybe it was pole, maybe it was a person. Piérre didn’t care. Figaro was... somewhere?
Where was Figaro?
Up to this point, the boy had not uttered a word, not a scream, not a gasp, not even a shout of surprise. There hadn’t been much that he could do, trapped in fire, metal, and fighting. All he could do was project his fear, that urge to fight, growing weaker as the boy’s mind began to slip, trying to rationalize the world around him. Someone was trying to hug him... was it the thing he was holding onto?
’I’m scared! Help! Help me!’
Hold on, Piérre! Just hold on! I’ve got you!
‘I... I can’t! I...’
Even as his grip finally loosened, the world around him grew quiet as he collapsed upon his stomach, breathing heavily. With nothing left to give, knees weak, arms heavy mom’s spaghetti... Piérre slowly gasped for breath as his head began to throb. The world around him was still spinning despite going still, his pupils visibly dilating and contracting against green iris at random; signature of a concussion. His ears rang, and he could hardly move, his muscles screaming in complaint, telling him to sit still. Don’t overdo yourself...
Figaro. Where’s Figaro?
He forced himself to his knees, shivering as his clothes, while long-sleeved, were not meant for the cold that was bristling into the now loosened caboose, turned on is side. Piérre was laying on the shattered remains of a compartment window, his bottom lip split, nose slowly bleeding, and a thin cut over his brow that had the ability to scar if left untreated. “Figaro?” Piérre croaked quietly, his voice cracked and muted as he looked about. “Buddy? Figgy...? Where are you?”
Silence.
“F-Figgy? C’mon... I’m... I’m scared. Figaro?”
His teeth were beginning to chatter. He saw blurs of silver, white, and black everywhere. He couldn’t tell where snow started and where train ended. He was barely holding on, his fragile constitution no meant for this roughhousing. He was in no state to find his kitten this way. He felt warm tears beside his slowly dripping blood; throat raw, Piérre inched upwards, using the walls of the car to get his footing. Where was everyone else?
There were a few people nearby. The Gryffindor prefect @Xailah Alptraum, another upper class student (@Meenauh Silmataurea), along with a few other students that Piérre didn’t recognize off the bat. There was the girl that maybe he ran into on accident (@Everly Charlton)... and a smoking hole which could be the way out.
He heard a call from a familiar voice... Kat! It was distorted and distant... but it was there? Piqued ears listened intently, trying to pinpoint the spot. Outside the car. Piérre would have to get out of the car.
He was a little scared, to be sure, to try and exit a smoking hole... was there another way out?
No other way but up. He would have to try to climb. Looking around at his fellows, the Britalian shivered from the cold and then asked quietly. “Can someone give me a boost?”
Regardless of if he was given help, Piérre would try to scramble up the tilted car from the inside, in order to climb through a window to be seen (pretty much trying to get on top of the tipped car). While climbing, he would call out with what remained of his voice, battered, bruised, torn up, and a worried hole in his heart for his currently missing kitten; ”K-K-K-Kat?! Anyone? Help! We’re... some of us are still trapped in here!”Action: Rubbing eyes to temper blindness, trying to exit through a window on top of the train to attract @Katrina Walker’s attention.Note: Figaro (Piérre’s Bengal Kitten) is missing! "Wingardium Leviosa!" Starlee shouted, aiming at one of the cowboys. However, the spell seemed to miss the man entirely, lifting up a nearby suitcase. Almost as quickly as it rose, the suitcase crashed back down on the ground, causing a loud noise that caused the first-year to wince back some. Of course, her charms work was never up to snuff, and the one time she felt it truly mattered, she wasn't able to pull through.
She felt the tiniest bit better that her compartment-mate seemed to have troubles too, as she just ended up knocking back some nearby suitcases. Starlee presumed that wasn't what the girl intended to do at least and that is certainly what she told herself. Her thoughts were interrupted by a bright light searing through the compartment. She had managed to close her eyes just in time to avoid the brunt of it, but it still caused her some confusion.
Again, she wasn't able to dwell on this for too long, as it was then that the explosion happened and the train toppled sideways. Starlee narrowly dodged a suitcase that was flung toward her. At least she had some evasion skills... But she wasn't able to hold on to... well... anything and ended up being tossed directly into her compartment mates back. "Oooff.. Ouch!!" she yelled as she collided with the older girl. The pain was immense, the most pain she had ever felt in her life. All that tumbling around in the compartment did a number on her and she was not feeling great in the slightest, her vision going a bit fuzzy around the edges.
She laid there atop the pairs closed compartment door for quite a few minutes when the train finally stopped rolling. There weren't any thoughts going through her head at this moment, just confusion and pain. All she could think about was the ache in her body from tumbling all around the small hall of the train. She could hear yells to get people to leave the train, but she was too weak to move at this point.
It took her a few moments more to come to her senses and her first realization was that her owl friend was possibly still trapped in his cage, which was now below her since the train was flipped on its side. "My- My owl..." she exclaimed, ignoring the efforts from others to leave the train. She mustered what strength she could to get up, slide open the door, and clamber down into the compartment to find her owl. She would find him, and she would set him free.
Action: Looking for her owl in her compartment.

Well. At least the way was clear now. Which had... kind of been the goal. For a moment the door Xailah had opened, was not a door at all. It was a gate to hell- a portal to the planes of oblivion. It was supposed to open a path to the other cars, but it didn't. Obviously. The metamorph found herself standing in the throat of a great, metal, dragon. Only she didn't know it right then and there. She jiggled the handle- lifted it- cracked the door open just a hair. The train didn't like that. The train didn't want an easy means of escape so, it spat fire. And it screamed. Or was it something- someone- else that had screamed? Xailah hadn't known until that moment, that trains were capable of making such a noise. It was awful. She would be blown back- she, her cat, Meenauh, other students, and their cats... all would be thrown backwards. Luggage would fly, as would the train- the train would fly off the tracks.
Xailah cowered, shielding her face, and Schrödinger, from the fiery tongues that lapped out at them. The door that had triggered the whole thing, would act as a temporary shield- blocking most of flames and flying debris. Though it too, would eventually be blown away. Light enveloped the train car. Firelight? Or Meenauhs light? Both? The lioness held onto the large cat in her arms- she tried to. She really did. But Xailah had never been considered the strong sort- physically anyways. The door would hit her side, and the mass of grey, would slip away from the limbs that had entrapped him. Where he went from there, was a mystery in that moment. Xailah would find something else to take hold of- a metal beam, that framed the nearest compartment.
As all this happened, Xailah couldn't help but recall something from a previous train ride- the one over summer. She couldn't remember the specifics- not over all the screeching metal and flames- but she could remember that it had something to do with blowing a hole in the side of the train. Which lead to several short-lived inquiries on doors and windows. The things children talk about. Everything would begin to slow, as the worst would creep away. Xailah released the bar she had grasped onto, and slumped to the floor. Lungs deflated, resulting in a sigh- one that couldn't be heard. Not by the girl. She couldn't hear anything, except for an odd ringing, and the remnants of metallic screams. She couldn't even hear Meenauh, or the bold call to action from another Gryffindor. All she could hear, was the division bell.
Her head rolled from shoulder to shoulder. Dazed. She was dazed, and now she was trying to get her bearings back. Growing aware of the emptiness in her arms, she began to look around. The men were gone, as well as some students. She saw the blurred visage of a figure that she could only recognize as Meenauh. Thank goodness the girl was okay. Xailah continued to scan the crash. Schrödinger- where was he? Her hair twitched, the singed ends flexed and relaxed. Pupils pulled themselves into a dangerously, thin, line. The gold of her irises burned and bubbled with a new color- red. She blinked, trying to chase the color away. Using the weight of her arms, she would push herself up from the ground. She would search, and grab for anything grey, and fuzzy, that moved. What had happened, hadn't yet sunk in. She was more concerned about that damn cat.

Alan was not even sure what exactly happened next because if he would try to recall it, everything would blur together. All he knew was that everything went terrible wrong when the train exploded after S.C.A.R attacked their compartment. He was blinded by terrible light and the explosion made his ears ring. He was not sure if he got hurt because he was not actually able to feel the scratches caused by splinters that had flown around. Alan however knew one thing and that was that he had no idea where Tiger was, he could be anywhere; possibly hurt! "TIGER?" he would call out to his cat, lucky that he had spend enough time to train his cat to come to him upon being called. But the boy would search for the feline nonetheless, scared in what shape he might find him in. Aside from that he would also try to find the unconscious boy from the train, his name was Vlad if he remembered correctly and he had been trying to help Opeila. However Alan could barely see, white and black spots flimmering over his eyesight, like a veil draped over his eyes. "Is everyone okay?!" he would call out to the students, despite the ringing in his ears. He would hear many people as well as many soft and heavy impacts, making him worried about their current situation. He would try to focus his eyes on his surrounding, trying to focus as he felt the strain behind his eyes, he was at least able to make out some shapes as he used his hand to navigate through the wrecks of the train compartment. Once again he would call out to his cat, feeling a headache starting to throb behind his skull.
