The Outfit
Cold wind swept over Ashley, tousling her long red hair and chilling her to the bones. It was the end of January, which had felt like a long month for Ashley. Not in a good way, but in a stressful way. The past weeks had seemed like an endless cycle of school and homework and sleeping and school then homework then sleeping over and over again. Ashley didn't talk to enough people. She didn't like to. Her way of interacting with the world was through books. She was an introvert, and a stubborn one at that. Which had never bothered her before now.
Ashley sighed. Dusk was approaching quickly, and from her seated position on the ground, she could see the clouds begin to turn pink and orange from the setting sun.
Ashley sighed again. I should probably get back.
She stood, brushing off her jeans and straightening her glasses. Everything had grown still. The wind had stopped, the birds no longer chirped. A sense of uncertainty washed over her. Eeriness.
Quickly, Ashley gathered her stuff. It's nothing, probably, she thought. I'm too paranoid.
Ashley walk-ran back over to Hogwarts. She was definitely too paranoid.
She looked over her shoulder. Nothing was there. And that's when Ashley slammed right into someone. Hard. Really hard.
"Gah!" She screamed.

The First Encounter PV Finished
It was nearing dusk, and Jennifer was finishing up her evening tea. She decided to take it outside, where no one was there to bother her. She wore a white shirt, a thin green coat, and black jeans with black boots. She had her hair in a side braid, laying on her shoulder. She headed out, the tea still warm. The house elves were great at making tea. Anyway, Jenny headed out to be alone. Where she could mope about muggle borns and muggles and all of that, alone. She closed her eyes, and took a deep breath. In that moment of peace, something slammed into her. Jenny's tea want flying, splattering her perfect, clean, white shirt. "Hey! Watch it!!! THATS HOT! URGH. Everything I'm wearing has lasted for a long while now. And you see how new they look? That's because I'm careful unlike you!" Jenny threw up her arms. She peered at the girl, seeing red. "Boy, you must not be a pure blood. If you were, you would know who I am. Jennifer King. And you just ruined my evening. Thanks alot. Can't you just look where you're going?!" Jenny looked at the tea on her shirt. It was quite hot.

"Boy, you must not be a pure blood. If you were, you would know who I am. Jennifer King. And you just ruined my evening. Thanks a lot. Can't you just look where you're going?!"
Ashley glared at the girl. Jennifer King, or whatever her name was. She had long, dark hair that was carefully twisted into a side-braid, and her once pristine clothes were splattered with hot tea. Ashley felt her annoyance growing. She knew she shouldn't say anything. She knew it. But something in her just . . . snapped. She couldn't help it.
"Okay," Ashley said, her voice high and harsh with anger, "Let's get something straight here. One. Yeah, I ran into you. But guess what? You also ran into me. And it was you, not me, who was carrying a cup of hot tea outside when it's dark outside. And two," Ashley couldn't stop. She was ranting, she knew it, "No, I'm not a snotty, stuck-up pureblood. So no, I don't know who the Kings are, just like basically everyone else in the world. Also, how can tea on your shirt ruin an evening? Like, really."
Ashley's chest was rising and falling quickly with hot, breaths. She knew that not all purebloods were stuck up, but this one was. Ashley hadn't met many people at Hogwarts who instantly rubbed her the wrong way. But Jennifer King . . . definitely, well, irked her. She was just so full of herself.
The dusk was quickly turning into night. The stars began to come out, sprinkling the dark sky with pinpricks of light. Ashley crossed her arms, her thin green hoodie doing little to keep out the evening chill. The girls didn't move.

"Technically, it's not dark yet! It's only nearing dawn. And excuse you, but I like to drink tea outside." Jenny held out the cup that still had some tea. "And I was only closing my eyes for 2 seconds to take a breath. And I stopped walking. So I didn't run into you, or even walk into you." Jenny scoffed. "It ruins my routine and streak of not messing up. I've done everything perfectly until you rudely ran into me!" Jennifer stomped. "My mother will be so upset with me for not keeping my things perfectly clean. And this thin coat? This awesome silky coat? Made by my grandmother from the finest silk. I just got it."

Jenny didn't like the attitude of this girl. "Maybe you need to be in my position to understand." She tossed the remainder of the hot tea onto the girl's shirt, splattering steaming tea on the girl. Jenny laughed. "Now do you get it?" She crossed her arms. This girl clearly was stupid and needed to be taught some manners. Jenny didn't mind teaching rude people lessons, which is why she threw the tea at her. It would be a plus if it got in her hair.

Ashley gasped. Jennifer was worse than she'd thought. The girl had the nerve to pour hot tea all over Ashley's shirt! On purpose!
Ashley fumed. Her shirt was sopping wet . . . and the germs! Ew! Jennifer had poured tea on her from a cup that she had put her mouth on!
"Oh my god!" Ashley shrieked. "I'm contaminated!"
Ashley ripped her sweatshirt off. She shivered in her t-shirt, but it was better than having Jennifer's disgusting spit all over her. Ashley shuddered. She stared at Jennifer with a loathing glare that she rarely had the opportunity to use.
"I can't believe you just did that! I wouldn't basme your mother for being angry at you! How the poor woman can even survive is a mystery to me!"
Ashley was really shivering now. It was cold outside. But she wasn't backing down. Not from Jennifer. Smiling, Ashley looked at her wet hoodie lying on the ground. She bent down and picked up the hoodie, rolling it through the dirty on the ground. The end result was quite disgusting. The wet clothing had accumulated pine needles and other bits of who knows what as well as dirt.
Slowly, Ashley stood up and walked over to Jennifer, filthy hoodie in hand. Before she could stop herself, convince herself to not do something so immature, Ashley wiped the dirty hoodie all over Jennifer. She wasn't sure if it would be worth it. But it was too late to turn back.

Jenny stopped at the harmful words. "My mother is quite proud of me. She survived because I DID EVERYTHING SHE ASKED." She missed Salazar, the snake who visited her garden everyday. Then the girl did something gross. She rubbed her filthy jacket on Jenny! Jenny covered her mouth with her hands before making a sound similar to the sound Salaza made when someone threw rocks at him. She grabbed the jacket from the girl, rolled it some more, and placed it on the girl's head, then pulled down a bit on each side. "Filthy Jerk!" Jenny yelled.

She kicked the dirt on the ground. "Urgh! I will never forget you! EVER!" She yelled some more. She was covered in filth! Filth. "I will remember you as ... as... MUDDY!" It wasn't the most creative, but it was all she could think of. She hated this girl. She was disgusting, rude, and a disgrace. Jenny spat at the ground before the girls feet, which made her horrified later as she recalled the memory. She turned around, and began to walk away. She wiggled her fingers to the girl. "Ta, Ta, MUDDY." She smirked and sashayed back to the castle, ready for a shower.

Jennifer had wiped the dirty hoodie on her! Ashley didn't know what to say. Her insults (I will remember you as ... as... MUDDY!) didn't bother Ashley, but to spit at her feet??!! That was just disgusting. Revolting. Gag-worthy.
Ashley stuck her tongue out at the girl's back as she huffily walked away. "Well, I'll remember you as, uh, nothing! Because remembering you is so not worth my time!" Ashley yelled, stomping away as well, scowling fiercely.
At the moment, it had seemed like a decent insult. But later, as she was combing through her long red hair, wet from her hot shower, she realized how ridiculous she had sounded. Because remembering you is so not worth my time? It sounded like something from a cheesy TV drama show script. Ugh. Ashley winced and wondered what the chances of running into Jennifer is the hallways were. Slim, she hoped. Heaven knows what else they would do to each other if given the chance. Ashley looked at the dingy hoodie sitting in the trash can. It was possible the must disgusting thing she had ever seen. She couldn't believe that it had been wiped on her body. Ashley shuddered as she got dressed in clean jeans and a Ravenclaw sweater. She had made an enemy. She had never had an enemy before. There were people she didn't her along with, sure, but not like Jennifer. Whatever, Ashley thought. Forget her. But she knew she wouldn't. Because if there was one thing Ashley was good at, it was holding a grudge.
