Backdated thread to January 10th
It was a wonderful morning.
Ah.
Those words are never wrong when it comes to the mornings of Hogwarts, but today really was beautiful. Paige had put on leggings and a white shirt. Her hair was back in a braid. The morning was so beautiful she literally just put on the first clothes in the drawer. But it turned out in her favor. Her usual blue converts walked in the padded, wet morning grass. Kids were already out, playing frisbee, yelling, and just laying in blankets.
Yes. It was all lovely, and today Page managed to get out here alive. By alive she would mean not falling flat on her face in the hall and then dying of embarrassment.
She made her way to her tree. Well, it wasn't her tree exactly. But she called it that. She grabbed onto a low hanging branch and swung her self up. She sat there for a while, looking at the grounds of Hogwarts. It was almost magical, she would say. But then she would remind herself that was because it was magical.
She turned her gaze upward when she heard the tweeting of a very, very, very young bird. Actually, lots of tweeting.
Babies!!
She climbed higher, and higher, slipping, but never falling.

Daisy was just doing a little bit of exploring, as she was new to Hogwarts.
Her long black hair was tied in a ponytail, she had a blue and a purple hair clip in, she was focusing on any details that could help her not lose the way. She looked happy just by being outside.
As she was walking around and looking around, she noticed a girl climbing a tree.
She looked from a distance at first, but went carefully near the tree, being a bit curious.
While approaching the tree carefully, she looked up just to be sure how tall the tree was. Noticing it was a medium height she felt a little better, but not fully.
She was a bit scared that the girl would fall out the tree any moment, but she was looking up at the girl with amazement and a little fear. But she actually wanted to talk to the girl, feeling too shy to say anything she stayed quiet not only because of her being shy but also a little scared that she would break the concentration of the girl, if she even was concentrating.
She stood there, watching the girl climbing the tree.

Paige carefully peered at the nest. It was babies! They were so cute!! She wished she had her sketchbook. Their eyes were still closed, and they were... well not clean. They were just born! Where was the mama? Paige lived birds. But whoever wolves better. Anyway, she started noting what they looked like. White? Brown spots... that's all she could gather as of now. They were loud and hungry.
Paige slowly climbed down just in time for the mama to come. Paige was out of the way now. She went back to the lower branch and noticed a very pretty girl watching her. Paige smiled. "Hey!" She waved. The girl had black hair that was tied in a position ponytail. That was all that Paige really noticed from where she was, making her way down. "You ever climb a tree before? I just saw some new born birds, lots of them. So cute! The mama came, so I had to come down. So I'm not a threat." Paige swung her hanging legs as she talked.
"Wonderful morning, isn't it? I'm Paige, by the way. Paige Chase. Who might you be?" Paige was using all of her manners, sure to make her mother proud had her mother been here.

Daisy looked at Paige, a little scared but she tried to hide it.
"I have never climbed a tree before, because of the risk of falling down and breaking bones."
She sounded a little careful about the words she said, in her mind she was thinking of what she had to say, or if Paige would like her or would hate her.
She didn't want to make enemies right away, so she picked her words carefully in her thoughts. Even though it could always get bad by how she behaved, not everyone likes a shy girl that doesn't know how to make friends.
"My name is Daisy Kumi, I'm just exploring around the grounds a bit. It's nice to meet you Paige, and yes it is a nice morning."
Daisy slightly smiles to Paige her mom always told her to be nice to others, that way you make more friends than by acting mean. She never actually had any friends so she didn't want to mess it up.
Having friends is like a dream coming true for Daisy, just like learning new things. Being able to actually not being scared to talk to others would be even nicer, but it was a work in progress she was working on it.

Paige smiled. "This is the lowest branch, you won't break a bone. Unless you fall asleep and then get rudely awoken out of nowhere..." Paige trailed off with a slight smile at the memory. "Anyway, what I'm trying to say is, you've got to take risks. I used to be terrified of climbing trees. Get this: my first instance of magic was when I rudely awoke a sleeping stray cat. He started chasing me with the claws out. I had no idea how to climb trees, but seconds later, there I was. While the cat hissed and spit from the bottom, me and the tree had other of bonding time. I found it was quite nice. After that, I taught myself how to climb."
Paige smiled. " You wanna try? I'll help you! It's quite relaxing to read up here. There are plenty of branches to share." Paige pondered for a moment. " If you'd rather stay on the ground I could just come down to you. There are plenty of things to enjoy on nice mornings so it won't be a bother."
Paige looked at the girl. She seemed sweet, kind, and shy. Paige understood. She used to be super shy at the beginning of the year, but she met great friends along the way. Now Paige is outgoing, sarcastic, funny... and it felt great! Fun fact: when you smile at people, they notice you and smile back! That's what Paige learned earlier in the year. Now you can find Paige smiling a lot.

Paige smiled. " You wanna try? I'll help you! It's quite relaxing to read up here. There are plenty of branches to share." Paige pondered for a moment. " If you'd rather stay on the ground I could just come down to you. There are plenty of things to enjoy on nice mornings so it won't be a bother."
Paige looked at the girl. She seemed sweet, kind, and shy. Paige understood. She used to be super shy at the beginning of the year, but she met great friends along the way. Now Paige is outgoing, sarcastic, funny... and it felt great! Fun fact: when you smile at people, they notice you and smile back! That's what Paige learned earlier in the year. Now you can find Paige smiling a lot.

Daisy said sounding a little unsure about herself, she hoped it wasn't weird to say those word or tell someone she just met about things she experienced in the past.
"S-Sure I want to try it, just promise me I won't get hurt. I don't feel like breaking anything, just because I wanted to try new things."
Daisy was still a bit skeptical about not being able to break bones from up there, but she was slightly thinking about trusting Paige.
Just looking at Paige, somehow made her feel happy and safe but also a little afraid, she couldn't really discribe the feeling but she knew it wasn't really bad. Knowing Paige might become her friend, if she was being this nice.
But learning from the past without friends, Daisy learns to first learn about people's personality and intrests before becoming friends with them. It's easier said then done, like most things in life.

"I promise." Paige nodded. "I promise you will not get hurt. I am a natural at this... trust me." Paige smiled at the girl. She held out her hand for Daisy to take her hand. When Daisy did, she would pull the girl up who was around Paige's size, small. Both girls seemed to be fragile. But years of climbing and pulling your own body weight up makes you just a bit stronger. Paige was careful as not to harm Daisy. Paige moved out of the way on the branch so there was room. Paige would point to a lump in the tree. Just put one foot there, and kinda push yourself up- yeah." Paige smiled at Daisy. She loved this girl already. Paige climbed to the next branch that was only a foot higher than the lowest.
"Okay, now grab that little vine looking thing- and- yeah. Just use it to steady yourself. Put your other hand on the branch, and hoist yourself up to the branch. You can just sit there." Paige was watching with an eagle's eye and her reflexes ready if the girl might fall. Having quick reflexes would come in handy for things like this.

Maybe they would become friends? Or even best friends?
Having this on her mind made Daisy smile even more.

She looked at Paige, she liked Paige as a friend if they were going to be friends.
Daisy knew that time could only tell if they were going to be friends, now or in the future...or not at all. Not trying to get negative about this she thought about the feeling of having a friend.
She didn't seem to convince herself in getting rid of the thought to mess it all up, but then again this school wasn't like her normal school she used to go to. Maybe she would make a lot of friends here?
She looked around a bit, enjoying the view.
It wasn't something she was used to, as she never took time to actually enjoy anything at all.
But now she could start slightly over with new friends, new school.
"Uh... Is it okay if I want to know more about you?"
Daisy said sounding pretty unsure of herself, maybe she thought it was weird to ask things like this.

Paige smiled and nodded at the 'thank you'. "Anytime! Helping is what I love to do!" Paige held her head eye in mock pride but then burst out laughing. Suddenly, she couldn't stop. She just kept laughing. Finally, wiping the tears from her eyes, she turned at Daisy's question. "Pardon? Oh, yes, yes, of course! Um... I'm a Ravenclaw, duh, I love to read, I... love to draw, I'm OBSESSED with wolves. I named by pit bull Wolfe. Hmm..." Paige tapped her chin. What else could she tell her? There was much interesting about Paige... well, she was sarcastic. She was funny. She was kind. But those were obvious... right? Paige didn't know, but she knew that Daisy would in a sec.
"Get ready, this will be so surprising, I, Paige Chase, likes to climb trees. I know! This is surprising news!" Paige put on a silly formal face before she giggled. She continued until the giggle turned into a laugh, in till the laugh was making her stomach hurt and tears come to her eyes. Hopefully, Daisy was laughing with her. "I'm s-sorry! I'm just f-full of- of- laughter! Today!!" Paige gulped for breath. Why was she laughing so much? She was happy.

Daisy could actually have hit herself, hearing herself like that made her feel stupid. But on the other side why wouldn't she just stay herself and be the way she wants to be? Easier said than done, but she was going to try. Anything for friendship right? Unless it was someone really mean than it wasn't going to be anything for friendship, but it would be anything for not getting the person to hate her.
