As the boy named Eden had seemed to prefer continuing to address others aside from Isaac himself, Isaac continued to ignore him in turn. The very subtle threat about smelling blood - presumably aimed at Percival - caused the corner of his lips to twitch upward, however.
It only after Eden had left their company that Isaac shifted his attention back to the Japanese Hufflepuff. "Yes...you understand the purpose of the club that has sponsored this event, not the event itself," he replied with unkind amusement seeping into his tone. "You presume a great deal, it seems. Regardless of culture, wealth, status, or class, however...is it not considered ill manners to make assumptions, particularly of a generalized group, as opposed to giving the benefit of the doubt to the idea that something might be attributed to a single individual and nothing more?"
The insult so boldly spoken by the Hufflepuff caused yellow eyes to widen slightly before Isaac threw back his head and laughed. It was a full-bodied sound, deep and vibrant, but it was no more pleasant than his smile had been. Nevertheless, it was brief, and though he continued to grin while Kazuo continued, he didn't speak until the other boy had finished.
"Oh no...I assure you, this has nothing to do with being a Westerner," Isaac chuckled. "Give me half a day and I could likely find you just as many Easterners with the same view. However, wealth and status are not factors that we, as purebloods, can simply ignore, either. Nor are they traits that may be dismissed when comparing the relative worth of a mudblood to one of our ilk."
Yellow eyes glittered as they met reddish-brown. "As for being a twat...no. You're right." His grin broadened wider than ever. "That has nothing to do with being a pureblood either. I simply enjoy it."
Neither he nor the Hufflepuff boy spoke up when Miller announced his retreat. There didn't seem much at all to say. Well...nothing that wouldn't a offend a hundred different people in a thousand different ways, anyway, and Isaac didn't feel up to dealing with that drama just then. He was just contemplating going to get a new drink when his gaze fell upon Percival once more.
"'A meager...thing'?" he repeated, looking as though he were trying very hard to hold back a fresh torrent of amusement. "You're going to have to come up with better insults than that if you want to get anywhere in high-class society, dear boy. Who have you been attempting to offend all these years? Your infant sister?" He shook his head pityingly, still trying not to laugh.
Then, catching the comment and question to the Japanese pureblood, Isaac resumed his wry smile.
"I believe his claim is that he isn't defending mudbloods but that he's saying we're a disgrace to our own kind by contrast," Isaac tried to supply. He glanced to the Hufflepuff for support. "Unless I...misunderstood...?"

Kara looked back behind her at Cassie who was keeping her from walking forwards.
"Please don't...Do not mind me I uh - I mean her. Do not mind her, love" Cassie was quickly getting quite flustered and nervous as they were talking "Katherine is my friend. As weird as this sound, our friendship is based on quick banter and harmless insult"
Kara listened, and now she felt like a dumbass. She shouldn't have let her temper go off so quickly and easily, so she sighed, drooping her head down now looking at the ground.
"Sorry Cassie..." She sounded like a little kid apologizing to their mother for breaking something in the kitchen like a plate or any other fragile thing you could think a toddler could get their hands on.
As she was talking, Kara looked up again and suddenly saw her green eyed lover's face flushed with a deep red and pink shade, which made Kara raise an eyebrow curiously.
"Are you alright Cassie?" Kara was actually concerned now, as this one was quite sudden.
"Sorry about that," They had said, smiling nervously while trying to avert their gaze.
"Sorry, why should you be sorry, it was my temper!" She said, thinking that they were talking about the outburst with the powerful looking girl.
"By that I mean I called you 'love'. I - I do not know what come over me. I should have asked you if you okay with it or not and also for Katherine uncalled behavior" They kept rambling on, and it made Kara smile softly and look at them lovingly.
"Don't you work yourself up about it, like I said before, it was my temper that spurred me off, not you, so just forget about it."
After Cassie had pulled themselves they continued on.
"Shall we continue our dance or is it the moment already ruined by Katherine?"
"No, actually..." Kara now saw this as a good chance to do it, become official, "follow me, I actually got something for you."
Kara pulled Cassie along to the table where they were both sitting originally, and Kara was about to do the most embarrassing thing she's probably ever done in her life. Grabbing the roses and placing the box of candy onto the table, Kara got on one knee right in front of a bunch of (most likely) purebloods, which made her really nervous, but aye, might as well. Already started so she might as well finish the job.
"Cassie, these past years at Hogwarts have been really crazy, and it was quite difficult to get through, but luckily, people like you are in my life to help me every step of the way, so... Cassandra Ironwoods, would you do me the honor of loving me back and letting us both become official?

hex code: #475c5fInteracting with @Jackson ValentineStill dressed in her school uniform, Juniper Yu must have looked very out of place, although her presence went unnoticed by most partygoers due to the fact that she was lingering near the entrance, too afraid to step in any further. Clearly, she hadn't planned on attending, but the music and the sound of chatter and laughter had piqued her curiosity as she walked past. After all, the P.U.R.E. ball was all anyone could talk about for the past week or so, and she had only wanted to step in for a moment to take a look, see for herself what the fuss was about.
Sorry for the wait!
───────────────────────────
And she was not disappointed. The ballroom looked like something straight out of a fairytale. A student was sitting at the piano, playing music far too beautiful to be treated as background noise. Elaborate vases with candles and roses sat on top of tables with actual tablecloths set up around the room, and people dressed in their best clothes stood talking and dancing around the Ballroom. Juniper stood at the door, mouth open in awe and brown eyes wide as she took in the scene.
Her trance was broken quickly enough, and she became acutely aware of her appearance. Juniper looked down at her school robes and sighed, suddenly wishing that she, too, was wearing a pretty dress and could dance the night away. (Well, until 7pm.) Juniper watched the couples dance with longing, smiling almost wistfully at the sight. At least some people were having fun... sigh. With a resigned shake of her head, she turned to leave, only to see another student headed the same way she was.
Startled at the sight of a face covered by silver, Juniper let out a shriek and leapt backwards, flinging her arms out in front of her defensively. "Gahhh!" she yelped, nearly knocking over a table. Stumbling over her own feet, she gripped the edge of said table in an attempt to steady herself. Her cheeks flushed with embarrassment. "What the-" Cautiously, Juniper leaned in to look at the boy closely and visibly relaxed when she realised that it was only a mask. With a sigh of relief, she released the table from her grip and straightened up, holding a hand over her racing heart. "Dude," she grumbled, "what on Earth are you doing?"

After the green eyes explained to Kara that the foundation of Cash and Katherine friendship are a quick banter and playful insult, it seems Kara understand it. There was no angry remark from the short brown haired girl. She sighed, dropping her head down, looking at the ground. She uttered her apology.
Cash need to strained their ears to hear what Kara said because her head still down. "Do not worry about it, valé (okay)?"They stated to Kara. When the green eyes face flushed, Kara inquired them if Cash was okay. The purple hair let out a nervous smile. Too nervous to said a word. Cash then said that they were sorry and Kara thought it was her temper.
Cash never know when they become an awkward mess if Kara was in front of them. Thanks Merlin it seems Kara was fine with the pet name that Cash uttered early on. Their green eyes darted from one person to another. Cash noticed that Michael already gone from the premises. With his absence, that put the Beater in charge for the P.U.R.E club.
Then Cash recognize those curly hair boyAlec Mason from a mile also the snarky boyWyatt Starkey that also hang around Alec. Cash raise an eyebrow of what they saw. For a brief moment, the Second year panic a little. Alec is or was Cash fiancé (though the green eyes not sure if it still valid up until this point).
And they are on a date with Kara whom did not know that Cash already betrothed to another pureblood kid because both of their parents (Ironwoods's and Masons') think it is a good idea. Cash tried to focused into their surrounding to avoid the unnecessary panic attack that they feel want to come out. Subtly, Cash took a deep breath and exhale it to calm their nerves.
The green eyes was so lost in their own thought that they did nor realize Kara had dragged them toward the table where both of the serpents originally seated. Cash notice on the table there are a bouquet of roses and a box next to it. Kara then done something unexpected. She got on one knee in front of the young socialite.
Cash eyes go wide. "What are you doing, Kara?!"They whispered-yell in panicky manner but it seems Kara did not heard them. "Cassie, these past years at Hogwarts have been really crazy. And it was quite difficult to get through. But luckily, people like you are in my life to help me every step of the way. So... Cassandra Ironwoods, would you do me the honor of loving me back and letting us both become official?"Kara questioned them.
Cash green eyes darted around the room. Seeing if anybody notice what Kara doing. Cash took a deep breath and reach out both of their hand to help Kara stand. Cash did not like when all eyes on them and to be put on spotlight. Once Kara stand up in front of them, Cash dropped both of the serpent hands gently.
The green eyes let a small chuckle when Kara said past experience at Hogwarts have been crazy and difficult to get through. Cash share the same sentiment. The purple hair open and close their mouth. To stunned to even said a word. After a moment, they composed themselves. Cash feel like they about to say their vow to Kara.
"You were there when all my reality came crashing down. You know some of my family secret and you still sticked with me through that craziness. For that I am so grateful that I bumped into you that day,"Cash smiled at the fond memories. "Mind you, I am a hard person to love because I do not know how. I promise, I will learn it for you"Cash continued.
"And beside, it would be rude of me to turned you down. So yes, Kara, I will be honor to loving you back and become official with you"They smiled so widely their cheeks hurt. Cash never feel this kind of warmth before and to say the least it is kind of overwhelming for them.
Cash then hug Kara and whispered in her ear, "Thank you for choosing so bravely to love me"They kissed Kara cheek and pulled her for a hug again with happy tears pooling in their eyes.
OOC Note - For all of you who happened to see what's going on with Cash and Kara, feel free to interact with them (meaning you have a free reign to tease Cash whether you know them or not).

@Cassandra Ironwoods
Kara's words were truly from the heart in those few moments, and her heart was racing like crazy. It seemed it was trying to win against someone like Usain Bolt or the Flash. Maybe she was going crazy for doing this, but it already happened, and there's no reversing it, unless she suddenly owned a time turner, but as of now, she was fine with it. However, Cassie didn't seem so excited, which made Kara doubt herself slightly, but when Cassie offered their hand and they entwined it with her own, helping Kara up, the warm feeling of compassion was still there, so Kara got her reassurance.
Cassie had opened their mouth, but no words came out. They seemed speechless from Kara's actions. She was always one to make things over dramatic and take them to the next level, unafraid of what people thought about of her.
"You were there when all my reality came crashing down. You know some of my family secrets and you still stuck with me through that craziness. For that I am so grateful that I bumped into you that day," Cassie smiled at the remembrance of the past, as Kara too remembered, letting out a small giggle. But it made her wonder, do they still have her hoodie? "Mind you, I am a hard person to love because I do not know how. I promise, I will learn it for you. And beside, it would be rude of me to turned you down. So yes, Kara, I will be honor to loving you back and become official with you"
Kara let her hands cup Cassie's as she held her head down, before looking up again with teary eyes. Kara was really touched, and this was one of the best moments of her life.
"Thank you Cassie, thank you." She laughed, trying to quickly rub her eyes with her forearm.
Both of the newly found couple were grinning like a bunch of idiots, and suddenly, Cassie gave Kara a kiss on the cheek, making her the one with a large blush, but before she could react, she was pulled into a hug, her face now on Cassie chest due to the height difference, which Kara didn't mind, not at all.
"Thank you for choosing so bravely to love me"
Kara pulled away from the hug, looking into Cassie eyes, which were now brimming with happy tears. She remembered it was actually the day after Valentine's Day.
"Oh please, it was my pleasure. I was the one who obviously made the first move anyways, even though I'm a little late since Valentine's was yesterday. But were aren't going to take notice of that now are we, darling~" With the nickname, she gave a humorous glint in her eyes and she smirked cockily.
OOC Note:
I agree with Cassie on this one. Anyone is given permission to interact with the two lil lovebirds. I'm sure it'll be fun. Kara will be overprotective however, so look out, or this lovebird may peck you!

Her question was a little ironic, given that she had attended the ball in her Slytherin robes.
Valentine wasn’t a very large boy. He was of unremarkable height, and he certainly didn’t have the impressive bulk of Rafael D’spacito. However, he had another way of carrying himself; through his choice of clothing and force of personality. Tightly fastened around the joints of his body, the sleek black jacket he wore accentuated the broadness of his shoulders and straightened out over any lack of muscle in his arms. With his Venetian mask, some might say that he resembled a certain Phantom from a stage play. People were often keen to see his aura of strength and thirst for challenge, even as he had it muted in his normal, resting state. They had good reason to be worried about him, even as he paid them no mind. Valentine was just passing through.
“Looking for my dance partner,” he remarked lightly, stopping in his tracks to take a broad glance across the dance floor. He’d probably missed the meaning of her question, because to him, his choice of dressing was perfectly natural. Besides, some people found the demon beneath the mask a bit too much to handle.

Though Isaac had secured most of his attention, being the only one actually speaking in any significant amount - albeit in an irritatingly snide way - he couldn’t help but to look at Percival when the older boy seemed to fixate on the perceived defense of the muggleborn. His eyes narrowed in contemplation, considering how to respond.
Isaac’s voice cut through his thoughts, once again diverting his attention and he couldn’t help but to roll his eyes at the way the fourth year continued to talk down to them. He had the very impolite urge to light Isaac on fire. Instead, he merely graced the older boy with a completely insincere smile. “Given that the invitation to this ball did not convey the purpose and given that the host of said ball did not offer up more than the most basic of greetings, much less an explanation to his guests as to his intended purpose before fleeing, one can only presume his intentions. I would happily entertain an explanation however I am not yet capable of reading minds so unfortunately am left to draw conclusions based solely on observation. My observations lead me to assume - Excuse me. Let me clarify my usage of the word before you decide to be even more trite. Assumptions must be made in order to form a proper theory. It is not ill manners to form assumptions based on observations. Especially if one is open to shifting one’s assumptions as more information presents itself. So. I assume that Miller hosted this ball in order to play at dinner and dancing with his friends. The shiny facade without all the complications that tend to come with those lovely balls put on by your parents. I also assume that he did not anticipate the responsibilities he would be faced with as the host. My assumptions may very well be wrong. If they are, I will happily correct myself. But you are not Miller and I am doubtful that you are someone he keeps confidence with so I am also doubtful that you are capable of confirming or correcting my assumptions.”
He paused then, considering his words once again before continuing. “You’re not wrong. There are always people who would choose shallow symbols of wealth and fleeting status over duty, no matter where you might be from. However my intention with the comparison was to question whether or not you Westerners have given up on duty altogether. Enlighten me, Isaac.” In a stunning show of disrespect that would likely be completely lost on the others, he called the older boy by his first name. “Did your parents teach you to be a bully?” Isaac’s admittance that he enjoyed picking on the others had set something off in Kazuo. A disdainful sneer crept across his lips and his tone became sickly, fakely sweet - almost singsong as he questioned the older boy. “Your tutors perhaps? Did they tell you that your blood makes you superior? And that by simply having been born into this world, you were gifted with the right to make others miserable with your shallow insults? Or do you enjoy tormenting those around you because you were once tormented? Maybe you feel weak? And this is all just a way to make you feel stronger? Or perhaps you are simply a sadist? How sad.”
With those words spoken Kazuo turned his attention back to Percival, the sneer he had directed at Isaac fading as he finally answered Percival’s questions. “I am a pureblood. And Isaac is correct, I wasn’t defending mudbloods so much as pointing out that it is the purebloods who are acting disgracefully. Well, some of you. But I wasn’t raised to believe that mudbloods and muggles, as you call them, are lesser than me simply because they were born without the ability to do magic, or born without the knowledge of the magical world easily available to them. Back home we have a saying that we apply to mudbloods. 鳶が鷹を産む。(Tobi ga taka wo umu) In English it is…” He paused, momentarily struggling with the translation. “Kites breeding a hawk. A gifted child born to common parents. We cannot choose the manner of our birth. Only what we do with the life we are given.” Words that came from his mother, words he couldn’t honestly say he fully understood the value of yet, but words he would share nonetheless. He didn’t know if Percival would understand what he was trying to convey but he hoped it would at least make the boy think.

INTERACTING WITH @Jack Burnett and @Paige Chase
Having come into the event a little bit after its start, Evelynn had not been privy to the rather scandalous events that had precipitated the escape of one Paige Chase. Her return, however, was unmistakable. There was movement in the hall, sure. The occasional dancing, mingling and promenade of the various attendants created something of a serene and consistent shifting of the ball's canvas. Chase, however, was anything but serene. Quite literally crashing back to the party, the sudden movement in Evelynn's peripherals had the prefect's attention snapping to its source just in time to see the girl sprawl out completely upon the ground in marvelously embarrassing fashion. And to add salt to her own wounds, she just sat there. Upon the ground. As though the last shred of her dignity had died with her will to rise.
But there wasn't really anything wrong with sitting on the floor. A social faux-pas it may be, but she wasn't technically committing any wrongs by doing so. Of course, Evelynn's curiosity into whatever drama the girl might have been experiencing only heightened as another familiar face came hurrying back into the room—that of Burnett—her name distressed upon his lips. Curiously, his approach was reined in, becoming almost cautious as one might approach a rabbit in the hopes of not scaring it off. She caught the shifting of his eyes as well, skirting around the room in search of something. Or perhaps someone? Until they caught her own gaze and held it. Her stomach hitched as though caught red-handed when he called out her name, although she did her best not to allow her surprise to show.
"What's going on?" She asked as soon as he'd requested her help, brows furrowing at his request for aid.
To say that she was surprised that he would have singled her out in request of help would have been an understatement. The two hadn't really shared any significant interaction since the previous year, and although that hadn't exactly been hostile per se, neither would she have thought to have left him with enough of an impression that he'd seek her assistance. He'd seemed to have adamantly detested her offer the last time. Unfortunately, no illuminating revelation would come for her request for clarity. Evidently, he didn't know what had happened.
Rather than address him, Evelynn approached the pair until she stood before the girl. Not a Gryffindor, she knew, and by her very petite frame, Evelynn could only assume she was a first year. Although realistically, she could have passed for even younger. The crimp of lips betrayed Evelynn's uncertainty in the situation, but she was determined to power through it, crouching down to sit upon her heels as forearms rested on her knees. Resting there, the prefect remained in silence for a moment, both to allow herself a moment to try to decide how best to approach this (she wasn't particularly practiced in consoling the despaired), and to provide the girl a moment to prepare herself to be engaged.
"Chase… was it?" Evelynn asked quietly with a slight tilt of her head. "I'm Decipio," she introduced herself, resolving to address the growing trend of her peers erroneously employing her first name against her preference by simply… omitting it. "One of the Gryffindor Prefects. You seemed to have taken quite the tumble just now.." she continued, acknowledging the obvious. As she did, gray eyes shifted from the girl's face to the rest of her, scanning her over to make note of the state of her dress, signs of injury, or anything else that might provide some indication as to what exactly had transpired. "Are you alright? You haven't hurt yourself, have you?"

Paige looked up as the prefect crouched down in front of her and would stay silent for a moment. Paige got ready to be talked too. Paige nodded at the question if she was Chase her not. The prefect would introduce herself by her last name, Paige would clearly assume. Paige gave the slightest smile when the prefect stated the obvious. "I can't say I'm alright. But I haven't hurt myself." Paige sighed. "I was probably being a bit dramatic too, it's just- huh. I was invited to the ball by a pure blood boy and I was really happy because I have never really been invited to anything. This night was supposed to be perfect. Than apparently he invited another pure blood boy and decided to ignore me. The other boy clearly found it amusing and I figured he was purposely doing it, maybe it was because I'm a muggle born! Or maybe no one can like me! Than I saw one of my most closest friends kissing a girl, and it totally caught me off guard which just blew it for me."
Paige hung her head. "Now I've ruined multiple people's nights. " She would look at the prefect before looking at Jack.

INTERACTING WITH @Paige Chase | MENTIONING @Jack Burnett
"That's good.." Evelynn commented quietly when Chase had denied any hurt.
When the quick roam of her gaze revealed no sign of injury, she followed it up with a subtle incline of her chin before returning to fix her sights on the girl, listening quietly to the rest. As she continued, Evelynn shifted her position for comfort, settling more firmly upon flattened feet elbows resting on her knees to resemble an asian squat. She could already tell she was in over her head. Two sentences in and this seemed like an adolescent drama worthy of Glee. Not at all something Evelynn would burden herself with under normal circumstances. Unfortunately for her, the wearing of that shiny little 'P' meant these circumstances were anything but usual and she would have to do her due diligence to serve her peers. Thus, with a slow rise and fall of her shoulders to accompany a deep and slow breath, she held her tongue and adopted a politely concerned expression.
"That hardly seems fair," came a rather unexpected interjection from the redhead when Chase had described the circumstances of her spurning. As it happened, the more the girl spoke, the less Evelynn had to act. The expression of crinkled judgment that she shot in the direction of the entrance where the drama had gone down very much reflected the distaste she felt that someone would deceive Chase in that manner. "Well.." Evelynn uttered, pulling a softened gaze back to the girl, "I very much doubt it has anything to do with your likeability.
"Take Burnett, for example," she continued, gesturing vaguely in his direction without retracting her attention. "He went chasing after you, and is standing here at your side, going so far as to call for my help to make sure you were okay. Would someone who thought you weren't likeable do that?" A rhetorical question, but one she would answer herself anyway, "of course not. And I can tell you from experience—" She went on, lips curling with the hint of an amused smirk. "—he's not the easiest one to get to like you. So you must be very likeable indeed."
Pausing for a moment, Evelynn tilted her head, eyes shifting between each of Chase's to better gauge her emotional state. "Here…Why don't we go have a seat, mn? I imagine the cold stone floor isn't the most comfortable." With that, Evelynn would push herself languidly to a stand. "Would you like a hand?" A palm would be kept open and extended towards Chase to take if she so desired. Evelynn wasn't exactly the strongest individual—or strong at all, really—but she was stable and well balanced and could serve as a point of anchor, at the very least, for the girl to pull herself up.
Whether or not the offer was taken, and whether or not Chase rose or chose to stay right where she was, Evelynn would pipe up again after a few moments. "I hope you know he was in the wrong. Why he did it really doesn't matter at all. He shouldn't have invited you if he had also invited someone else, especially without letting you know. That's a horribly humiliating thing to be put through. It's not at all an over-reaction, in my opinion, for you to be upset."
