Happy Birthday, Paige!
Greeting @Paige Chase at the Ravenclaw Table
There was still less than half of the usual students in the Great Hall that Sunday morning for breakfast. Most of the students enjoyed their weekends quite leisurely there at the castle and took their time but Simon was on a mission that particular morning.
He had everything ready and upon entering the large area he looked toward the Ravenclaw table to see her there. Not worrying about whether he would embarrass himself (because he truly didn't care) he walked right over to it, placing the small box wrapped in pretty paper before her. "Happy Birthday, Paige!" Simon smiled to her.
Then, pulling at something behind his back, he revealed that he brought his guitar with him from his dormitory and he sat down next to her at the Ravenclaw table. Already having ensured that it was tuned, he began to strum at the strings as he sang to her. "Happiest Birthday....to you," he began, in the same tune of Happy Birthday but making it a little slower and just changing the words only slightly. He smiled.
"Happiest Birthday...to you. Happiest Birthday, dearest Paige Chase, Happiest Birthday....to you." He finished it out with some additional notes at the end just to try and make such a short song sound more elaborate. "Go on then, open it," he said of his gift.

Happy Birthday, Paige!
Paige had a great mourning so far. She woke up. She got some new books from her fellow Ravenclaws. She got a new set of strings and craft supplies. She got a new sketchbook. She got some fluffy socks. She was eating an omelet for her breakfast. Things were going absolutely great. Earlier, she woke up to someone yanking open the curtains. Paige attempted to throw her pillow at them before she realized it was her birthday. Yes, she actually forgot.
She pulled out the outfit her mom sent her. A royal blue blouse with white skinny jeans. The jeans had a silver lining to them and Paige thought they were rather pretty. She wore some of her newest crafted bracelets on her wrists. She wore blue converse that still need to be broken through a bit more. She was just eating peacefully in the great hall when to her surprise, one of her most closest friends, @Simon Kincaid , walked up to her. He wished her a happy birthday and placed a gift in front of her. As she reached to open it, Simon swung around a guitar and started singing his own version of ' happy birthday '.
She pulled out a beautiful necklace. She gasped. "Simon, thank you! I love it!" She hugged him and then held it out. "Help me put it on?"

"Of course," he said, smiling because she did seem to actually like it. He took the necklace from her and moved behind her. So her hair didn't get caught up, he brushed some of it off her shoulder, touching her neck just slightly and most likely gave her a chill. Simon wasn't one to realize it, as again it was just one of the normal things in his life, but his body temperature was always less than that of those around him. His doctors had picked up on it, but always figured that maybe it was due to something like low thyroid or fighting off an infection.Cold touch with @Paige Chase
"I thought it suited you well. There were some that I saw that had the Ravenclaw emblem but that just represents Ravenclaw as a whole, you know? This is the sparkling blue pendent behind that can represent all of what Paige Chase is, and the eagle to signify that you're also a Ravenclaw. Kind of to say it's just part of what makes you wonderful."
Did that sound sappy? He didn't mean for it to sound sappy.
He did the clasp and then took her shoulders, helping to turn her around to face him so he could see it on her. "I might be a little biased but I think it looks absolutely fantastic on you," he smiled.
