Story line idea Gia has met a bunch of students so far, but she hasn't really met anyone that she really, really feels close to. I am looking for one or two other first years to become a really tight knit group along with her, and a group that will last throughout their years at Hogwarts.

The Abandoned Classroom Saga

Unofficially popularised by Selim Faust, the abandoned classrooms have become a preferred hub for congregating for many of Hogwart’s student-driven societies. They’ve also served as quiet enclaves for the studious, as well as hideouts for the dubiously intended.

One such room has become the place of solace for a particular student of interest.

When one enters this specific classroom, they are greeted by scents that correspond to whatever season it is at the moment. Currently, the season is Spring. The open windows on the left wall welcome the cries of new life as Hummingbirds take to the skies once again. The fresh tastes of blossoming peonies and roots pushing through the earth fill the atmosphere with a sense of rebirth. Life has survived the winter, and now it is time to move on past the hardship and start to grow once more.

This giddy sense of spring fever does not seem to have taken on full effect in the room itself, however. Stacked and arranged in orderly columns along the right wall are tables and chairs, cleared out to leave a vacant space in the middle of the room. The rest seems to match the designs of most of the other classes, fit with walls, ceiling, and floorboard composed mostly of wood and stone. A long blackboard spans the entire front wall, riddled with scratch marks from age, and a few curious dents. The back wall seems to have endured its share of punishment, many of the tiles darkened from wear caused by friction, impact, or outright replacement. On the teacher’s table at the front left corner of the classroom, a small flowerpot rests nearest to the window. Blooming from the soil within is an alluring black colored rose, an insignia of this room’s most frequent patron.

Although supposedly ‘abandoned’, the state of the classroom seems to suggest that it is well taken care of by whoever is using it.

Unexpected Injury

Valentine has a black eye. He’s trying his best to hide the enormous bruise. In fact, he’s been hiding a lot of things lately.

Confront him in the common room as he’s hopelessly trying to use ice cubes to make the internal bleeding stop. There’s also something else that’s off about the way he walks and winces when he turns his body a certain way.

Question him about his injuries or offer some help. And if you’re up to it, try to get to the bottom of what he’s been up to.

Lion’s Den

Your character takes advantage of the facilities offered by the abandoned classrooms to find a quiet or private place to conduct their affairs. By pure chance, your character stumbles across the classroom outlined in the above description. It is unusual to find a classroom that is so well maintained.

However, minutes after settling down to enjoy whatever you were about to do in this splendid venue you’ve found, someone enters the classroom uninvited. Whether or not you know this blonde, spectacled boy, you are certainly about to now.

Most people are comfortable with sharing public space. But whether or not you plan to set aside some of your slice of paradise for this first year, you soon find that he’s trying to get you to leave the room!

Look! A Shooting Star!

A wayward tennis ball soars across the courtyard like a comet. Seconds before this, you hear a noise that sounds like a window shattering. Looking up to where you suspect you saw the ball coming from, you observe with fascination as broken window pieces rise and merge back together through the use of the Reparo Spell. Whoever it is that broke the window is evidently trying to cover up their tracks.

PLOT. A dark academic, Valencia has picked up an interest in architecture. Considering how old the Hogwarts castle is, and it's such intricate design revolving around medieval gothic style, Valencia cannot help herself but try and explore far beyond the simple hallways she must walk every day. This particular thread would have her wandering around the castle (outside or in, we can discuss whatever fits best) with a camera trying to capture certain places, though unexpectedly it stops working. Your character will come across Valencia who seems visibly distressed. How they react is up to you.

Had your kid attended a muggle primary school in London when they were young? Had them tried to hide their wizard nature or even wasn’t aware of it? Anyways, it’s possible that your kid had seen a weird girl in the corridors of the school — unable to use a cellphone properly, unable to answer when others mentioned high tech, unable to know the famous actors and actresses — but indeed, she had a pretty remarkable face for you to remember. Maybe you walked up to her and bullied her. Maybe you offered a helping hand at her. Maybe you even considered her as a new friend, and had learnt her name — Lindsey — by chance. This girl was terrible good at maths and science, and maybe you kid disliked it. Or maybe your kid had decided to be her bestie no matter what. After years of friendship / rivalry, the acquaintanceship came to an end. You, or Lindsey, took off for Hogwarts first. It would definitely be surprising for both of you to see each other again at this magical school. Maybe your kid decided to offer a hand just like before, but Lindsey was too stressed to accept your offer, and turned you down harshly. Or maybe your kid decided to continue bully her as she seemed sad these days. But anyways, this relationship had turned into a weird one — definitely weirder when you two were both wizards rather than muggles.

Okay, so as some of you might be aware, Lindsey and her family were escorted to York to live with her great grandfather last November. The Duke Springhall, her great grandfather, started to learn the names of his great grandchildren’s friends. To his disappointment, those names were not good enough in his mind for a noble young member of a noble family. So he decided to introduce you — your family had been in touch and were good allies with the Springhall family for ages. Anyways, you and Lindsey were introduced, and was meant to be best allies. However Lindsey never wished to accept it. She hated the Duke and the whole strict pureblood world. Maybe your kid disliked her as well for her love of the muggle world. Or maybe your kid wanted to be her friend as they decided it was their reponsibility, but was cruelly rejected by Lindsey. But Lindsey’s great grandfather and your family urged you two to get along with each other well. So maybe you two seemed like friends in front of them, but actually get into a fight when being alone. All in all, I’d like this relationship to end up as a very complicated one, and we would see which side would win — family, or our own wishes.

Your RPG storyline idea Reducio Alec has been a mess since getting home from winter break, the poor kid has no idea what he's doing anymore, and no idea for how to deal with what he's going through. Not being taught ways to properly express his emotions and issues results in.. Well, creative ways of handling them. Looking for your Hogwarts student to have the best time of their lives? Be happy, never have terrible dorm mates? Well, that's really unrealistic. Welcome to Hogwarts. I'm looking for a long-term relationship to be established with and after this thread, preferably with someone Alec hasn't met via a thread yet. Dynamic of the characters and relationships being set on personalities and how they clash together. I have an idea set down for this and a basis and plot for how I want the thread to go, but I would love to talk ooc about possibilities for what happens with the characters and talk through more details before anything is established.
My own usual wc: 500-600 words. Would love to find someone who would match me for word count.

Your RPG storyline idea: I've been having a lot of fun writing antagonistic threads lately, so I'm looking for more people for Dee to dislike/who dislike her! Maybe your character thinks she's arrogant? (Granted, she is.) Maybe they make a negative comment about Muggles or Muggle-borns. Maybe your character has seen her first duel (which went terribly) and makes a remark about why she's even Captain. Maybe Dee makes an unkind remark about them failing at something. Would be open to making someone cry (though likely not on purpose). If your character is genuinely a jerk to her/someone else, she'll enjoy trying to make them crack. The possibilities are endless, I'm just looking for some snark and being able to explore Dee's... less than nice sides.

Maybe something changed since they last talked, your character had a growth spurt or their voice changed? Maybe they tease her for something and she gets first offended then flustered? Maybe they do something she admires them for. Open for a lot here. Would likely not be a super long thread because I expect her to run off when she doesn't know how to respond, but if there's interest on both sides, we could continue in a follow-up thread.

Your RPG storyline idea: So, Dee has a rather uncomfortable relationship with her paternal grandparents, aka they kicked her dad out, made her parents move across the country, and never acknowledged Dee's existence before she entered Hogwarts. Her grandparents are a very sore topic for her, especially since they started sending her occasional letters implying that her parents have not been truthful about what happened. Want to poke a hornet's nest? I'm looking for someone to either somehow figure out her grandparents' name (we can talk about how it comes up) and recognise it, or just put the pieces together about who her family is from hearing her vaguely talk about her parents' story. Warning: She is not going to take it well. Would require someone well-versed in pureblood politics and gossip who is willing to stick their nose where it isn't wanted.

Your RPG storyline idea : Well, Calypso doesn't have any enemies, or even people she mildly dislikes. I figure that is a bit unrealistic, and I want to add a layer of tension to her story with some animosity, or at least annoyance. I wouldn't say I'm looking for an archenemy, but...I essentially am. Cal isn't a disliking or judging person, and she usually attempts at friendship before anything else. She also has a firm insistence on civility. Due to this, I think your character would have to be pretty different than her, or some freak circumstance to occur for dislike to kindle. Maybe they just strike each other with a bad feeling? I dunno, but writing a fighting (not physical fighting) piece could be really fun, so think about it.

Elzabeth has been trying her hardest to keep up her grades all year, so the first time she gets a P in one of her classes, she breaks down in the corridors in a fit of rage. Let's just say getting a P would be the cherry on top of her horrible Sunday. Unfortunately this means that whoever decides to confront her (out of sympathy or annoyance, you decide ) gets to meet a nasty side of Elzabeth. I'm looking for drama, something exciting, maybe even a relationship (good for bad) that will last her a while.
