History/Background Story:
Maverick Anwyll was born in Glasgow, Scotland in a small hospital on the 3rd of March, 2009. He was born to Vivian and John Anwyll. He grew up as an only child in a small house with his parents. His father had to travel relatively often due to work so he had always been closer to his mother. He had a basic knowledge of the wizarding world due to his mother being a witch. He had read many of his mother's old books and always hoped he would be able to use magic and see all the things he had read about. While he was an only child, he had a few very close friends that he had always considered to be family.
He would often spend his time exploring the nature areas around home by himself and with his friends. Maverick was homeschooled from an early age which was the main reason why he didn't have a large friend group, but a few loyal ones which he always considered to be better than nothing. His mother had always been extremely protective of him which did sometimes strain his relationship with her, but they always made up.
He first showed signs of magical talent when he was around ten years old. Maverick had been out exploring and while climbing a tree ended up stepping on a weak branch. This branch ended up breaking off and falling underneath him with young Maverick quickly following. Before he hit the ground though, he found himself floating a few inches off the ground before landing gently. This led to him excitedly running home to tell his mother.
Maverick eventually got his letter and found his way to Hogwarts where he was sorted into Ravenclaw.
Looks and Personality:
Maverick has dark black, messy hair that often covers and hides his eyes. His eyes are dark chocolate brown but also sometimes appear to be more hazel depending on the light. He is relatively pale and while short sometimes appears taller due to his thin frame and lanky appearance. He has a number of scars across his body and can often be found with cuts and bruises due to his clumsy nature. When smiling, which is sometimes rare, one can see that his eyes crinkle up. His face and ears also turn pink relatively easily due to his pale skin. He also has somewhat thick eyebrows that tend to make him look sort of frustrated or upset.
Maverick can often be a very confusing individual at times. He can come off as relatively cold and distant due to his appearance and nature but is really very sweet and friendly once you get to know him. He is also somewhat of a goofball sometimes and enjoys a good joke from time to time. He can be very affectionate to the people he cares about but can be a nightmare if you mess with someone he cares about.
He enjoys spending time exploring the outdoors and reading pretty much whatever he can find. He enjoys learning whatever and whenever he can. While he does enjoy spending time with people, he tends to go quiet and becomes anxious around people he doesn't really know and in big groups of people. He is also extremely clumsy and has injured himself more than once due to this.
