So she was second year. That actually made perfect sense, and had Evelynn elected to take a moment to think about it, she might have come to that conclusion, herself. Although she'd been a little more preoccupied with dodging wayward spells during the last SWAG game, the spell work that she had seen of Beckett hadn't displayed anything unobtainably advanced as she had spied from a few of the older students. And of course, while she carried herself with a mature air, she appeared to be not so much older than herself. Plus, she really hadn't noticed any friendships as strong as the bond that Beckett and D'Spacito seemed to have so quickly formed that were any more than a year apart.
That was hardly what kept her mind occupied in that moment, however. Rather, it was the reminder that this girl was a full year ahead of herself and had insight into the magic and lessons that would be coming the following year. Excitement fluttered like a moth to a flame and with it Evelynn sat just a little straighter. Unfortunately, she'd gone and asked a couple of questions in tandem and so the opportunity wouldn't quite present itself to dig any deeper into this curiosity before the girl obliged her previous ones.
"There's a ballet club?" Evelynn echoed under her breath a moment later, head tilting just slightly with her bemusement.
Had she simply missed that during her perusal of the club options at the beginning of the year? She couldn't recall having seen that one before. The notion was, admittedly, rather intriguing. Although back home she would sooner forsake dance on point for the dance astride her mount, Hogwarts precluded her from pursuing any equestrian sports. And given that her mother was always nagging her to maintain at least some form of a more directly physical activity, perhaps she could take that up again here…
"Well, I suppose the Quidditch Team could be considered a club of sorts," she replied, shrugging a brow. "I'm also one of the editors on the Headliner team. I'd like to be able to actually write for it someday, but for now I just make sure that none of my assigned writers have any glaring mistakes in what they've written. Then there's the Liberation Club. We really don't meet much, however, so I'm not sure that one really counts. Mn.." Her gaze flicked absently out towards a window as she pondered, trying to think if there was anything else she was missing. "Ah, and the Hogwarts' Host and Wondrous Tea Club," Evelynn added, turning her attention back to Beckett, slightly surprised that she had nearly forgotten the rather peculiar club.
"How have you found it — the ballet club, I mean — since joining?" she wondered, fishing to see what the club was actually like, if it was worth it, and if joining would even be a possible around her already hectic schedule.

@Evelynn Decipio
Ana bit her lip as the other girl disgested Ana's reply. While there wasn't anything about this girl that made Ana feel uncomfortable exactly, she still felt like it would be best to keep her guard up around her. This was one instance where Ana didn't have a instant and passionate like or dislike of people. She had a habit of making snap judgments about people, but usually, that worked out pretty well for the Gryffindor. Generally, within a few moments of talking to someone, she had a pretty good gauge as to whether or not this was someone she wanted anything more to do with, whether this was a friend or victim.
Decipio didn't seem to easily fit into either category. She wasn't someone Ana instantly clicked with, like Ruby or Rafa, but she also wasn't someone that Ana had instant and visceral loathing towards, like Aurelia or that teal streaked brat. While Ana was learning that life wasn't black and white and there was a vast in-between from a life long friend to a potential homicide victim and that that in-between was where most people feel, she still typically got a feel for people and what their relationship would be like in the first meeting. That made Ana feel mildly distrustful of her, but she wasn't sure if that was just an Ana thing or if there was a valid reason to feel that way. After all, other than Rafa's commentary on her, she seemed pleasant enough.
She nodded at Decipio's question about the ballet club. It was something that Ana had thought she might as well form since there wasn't one at Hogwarts. It was mostly due to the endless scolding she had received from her parents when they and her ballet teacher had discovered that she wasn't practicing near as often as they thought she ought. It was hardly her fault, since school and being a prefect had taken up quite a bit of time, but she had thought that if she had a group to practice with, she would definitely be at least a little more faithful about practicing.
She laughed slightly when the girl mentioned she was an editor. Ana had gathered that much, but it was nice to have confirmation. The brunette also arched an eyebrow at the mention of that odd tea club. She had seen flyers for it but had thought it rather not something that her parents would approve of her being publically involved with, and anyway, she was far too busy to be involved with whatever weirdness that was. She made a mental note to potentially inquire further about it at a later date since she really understood exactly nothing about it.
"It's alright, still getting off the ground a bit," Ana replied. She didn't particularly want to mention that she was one of the founders, since it was still unclear if the club would actually become anything worth mentioning, and she didn't particularly want to tie herself to it this early on. As she began to reply, she caught a glimpse of a clock behind the other girl. They had been speaking for far longer than Ana had realized.
"Bloody hell, is that the time?" she said, her posture straightening suddenly. "I'm terribly sorry to end this so abruptly, but I'd best be going. It was lovely speaking with you, Decipio! I do hope to see you around." Smiling slightly, she brushed off her hands on her skirt, nodded at the other girl, and briskly exited the room.

Evelynn had to smile with Beckett's response. Getting off the ground had invoked images of various lifts by amateur dancers, the partners each only just beginning to develop a trust for each other and the strength to perform the maneuvers. Given that this seemed to be an introductory and inclusive dance club, that only seemed appropriate.
"Well, I'm sure it will take off and you'll all find your stride soon enough," she mused encouragingly.
Before she could add much more to that sentiment, however, Beckett's attention flickered elsewhere for a moment. The source of that piqued attention was made clear almost immediately after. At her commentary, Evelynn likewise flicked her gaze around to seek the clock face. She quirked a brow. By Beckett's following surprise she might have thought they'd been lost to conversation for an eon. Really, it couldn't have been more than ten minutes or so, though. Perhaps she was simply being polite in finding an excuse to depart.
"No, not at all," Evelynn replied after turning forward again. With a polite smile, she waved off the other girl's apparent regret. "It was lovely to make your acquaintance properly as well. I'm quite sure this won't be the last time we speak. I hope you enjoy the rest of your day; and I wish you the best of luck with the club."
As Beckett took her leave, Evelynn's gaze trailed in her wake until she'd disappeared around the edge of the frame. It had been an awfully quick departure. More brisk than seemed polite, really. Perhaps the girl really did have somewhere else she needed to be? She couldn't be certain. Regardless, at least insofar as she could tell, that initial encounter had been pleasant enough, if not particularly memorable. The two didn't seem to have any sort of instant chemistry; but perhaps it would be enough to forge the foundation of a friendly relationship. Given how close Beckett seemed to be with D'Spacito, having a mutual ally could potentially be quite useful...
Lingering for only as long as it took to gather her belongings, Evelynn took one last visual sweep of the office before she, too, took her leave.
