Michael yawned as he sat up. Christmas was a couple days ago and he was still getting used to the near-empty castle. He quickly got dressed and bundled up with his winter clothes. He had new gloves from his sisters, leather ones. He hummed as he grabbed his bag, it was tearing up being so overused, and packed only one book, 'Muggles and the art of the snowman'.

Michael grabbed a apple from the great hall, what he usually ate in the mornings, and walked outside. He smiled at the snow that was softly coming down. He walked to a clear place, the snow almost a couple feet there, as no student had bothered it. "Perfect" he whispered as he uncovered a bench nearby and proped his book up, so he could see it as he built.

About an Hour later, he was covered in snow and frowning in near defect. He had tried to pile the snow like the book said, but it just broke apart and fell everywhere. He bite his lip, looking at the sad thing that was his makeshift snowman. It was about two feet tall and was more of a triangle than a shape made of three circles.

He needed help, and bad.

For a girl named Frost, you would think she would be able to handle the cold relatively well. Winter, while beautiful, was a little too cold for a dainty girl like her, especially at Hogwarts.

Layers of warm clothes hugged her as she made her way to the Grounds to properly enjoy the snowfall. The landscape looked to be a picturesque 'White Christmas', the only color peeking through the white those of clothes students wore. Her breath fogged as the prefect walked, the soft crunch of snow beneath her feet.

She had come across a boy, a few years younger than her by the looks of it. He had been looking defeated, covered in snow, and staring at a small snow... shape. Near him was a bench with a book leaning on it, as if he were checking it periodically and building as he went.

"Um, excuse me," Frost would gently tap on his shoulder, a warm smile on her face. "Would you like some help?" Based on the title of the book he had been referencing, she could tell that this small triangular snow thing was his attempt. Perhaps this was his first time doing it alone? "Not that I think this is bad, of course," the redhead gestured at it, "But I do think that it is more fun and easier to build with someone else." She smiled at him, offering her help. Though she was no snowman expert, Frost could make a fairly decent and adorable snowman.

Michael jumped when he felt her touch, and turned to look up at the girl. He could tell she was older than him, but by how much he wasn't sure. "Umm Yeah, Yeah" he said as his cheeks flushed from the embarrassment of not being able to do a simple muggle thing.

He brushed the snow off himself as he moved and got the book, flipping a couple pages, "I was trying to follow the book, but the snow just keeps breaking apart before i can get it all together" he said, reading over the first page again.

Okay, so just need to roll up the first part. .. And then He signed as he tried to figure out if they really meant roll it up, as he tried earlier and nearly fell head first into the snow. He looked up at the girl, "Do you know who to build a snowman? It's harder than it looks." He said, he looked over her, wrapped up in many layers.

For a second, he was lost in the fact she was cold, as it showed how different they were, as he liked the weather, as it made him finally feel something other than too hot. "Are you okay? Do you want my coat, it might be a little small but it's warm"
