Amelia's Speech: Yellow
It was nearly Christmas and it was snowing! It really couldn't get any better than this. Hogwarts looked absolutely breathtaking in winter, not that it wasn't always breathtaking but the added bonus of snow just made it look absolutely ethereal. The Hogwarts grounds were completely covered in a blanket of white snow and snow was still falling from the sky, which had turned a misty grey color. Amelia woke up today with one thought in mind: She was going to build a snowman. She didn't care if she had to do it alone, it was happening.

It was the afternoon now and Amelia had wrapped herself in the warmest clothes she could find in her trunk before heading out towards the Grounds. Snow was falling heavily now, particles of snow finding it's way onto Amelia's hair, her cheeks and nose turning a rosy red color as a result from the cold wind blowing against her face. She wrapped her Hufflepuff scarf tighter around herself to keep in as much body heat as she could, she stopped walking once she found a nice patch of snow that was untouched by anyone. She started to gather as much snow as she could with her gloved hands and was rolling it into a big ball for the bottom half of the snowman.

"Alright, it's time to build this snowman," she said to herself, "woah, maybe I could even make this snowman alive. There's bound to be a charm for that, I'd be quite disappointed if there wasn't. Maybe I'll even give it a name!" Amelia continued rambling away to herself as she continued to roll the snow up into a circle for the bottom of the snowman. Maybe someone would come and help her build this snowman.

****Woosh!****
"Gosh its cold." Paige had just opened the window. She was still in her lounge clothes. She noticed a bird on the ledge of the window. "Hello, your trying to cover up?" The bird looked at her. "I know. It's cold." Paige could see her breath. "You think I should go out?" The bird ruffled it's feathers. "Your right. I need to bundle up first" She closed the window. She pulled on navy blue pants, a shirt and sweater, and a coat.

She put on earmuffs and grabbed gloves. She pulled on boots and swung a scarf around her neck. She ran downstairs. She ran outside. She dodged multiple snowballs from students having snowball fights. She waved here and there, but no one came over. They just waved and let her carry on. She walked with her boots sinking in the snow. She saw a girl making a snowman alone. It looked hard. Paige figured that she wouldn't mind some help. Paige walked up to the girl and waved. "Hey, I'm Paige Chase. Need some help?" Paige gestured to the snow. "Team work makes the dream work." Paige knelt down and started smoothing the snow the girl had rolled.

Amelia was so determined to make the best snowman she had ever created that she hardly noticed a girl walk up to her. She jumped slightly when she heard a voice and turned around swiftly, "Oh, hi!" she smiled at the girl, "You scared me, didn't notice you coming there." she straightened up slightly. When the girl mentioned helping her build the snowman, she glanced down at the one ball she had managed to roll, "You know, it would probably be best if you helped or I'd probably be here all afternoon trying to get this done."

Paige had started smoothing out the ball she had rolled a couple of minutes ago while Amelia was busy talking, "I'll start with the next ball," she said, bending down to roll a slightly smaller ball for the middle section of the snowman.
The young witch realized she hadn't even introduced herself yet, hastily she said, "I'm Amelia Faye, by the way. It's nice to meet you, Paige."

While Amelia was busy rolling out the second ball, she asked a rather silly question, "Do you have any idea if there's a charm that exists to make this snowman come alive? Cause that'd be pretty cool." she laughed, "You probably think that's stupid but I beg to differ."

Paige shrugged. "I really wish there was. And I've read almost every book there is. Except the restricted section. I've always wondered what books they keep there. But I doubt how to make a snowman alive is dangerous. Or is it..." Paige laughed and shook her head. She continued smoothing the snow. Sigh. Boy, she really wondered what was in that section. But she shook the thought.

"Hey, I just realized something. How come people always make a snowman? Like, why not a snowwoman? Because it's harder to say, or to make? " Paige wondered if they could make a girl without it getting ruined. What would they use for the hair? Vines? Sticks? They could use small sticks for the eyelashes. Eh. She could already tell that snowmen were easier and they hadn't even decided to make a girl.

Paige would than search around for some rocks. And some arms. "What should we do for the nose?" She looked around and found a long oval shaped rock. Yet it was smooth. She held it out. "Do you think he'll look to much like Pinocchio? Wait, you do know that movie, right? If you don't that you never had a childhood." She added threats part with a joking tone. She felt her pocket and pulled out a candy cane. She stuck it between the latter of the mouth. It looked like he was eating a candy cane. "How about that?"

Amelia had finished rolling and smoothing out her ball before setting it on top of the snowman. She started smoothing down the snow of the 3 balls to make sure that the snowman was perfectly smooth. "The restricted section? I heard they keep really dark magic in there. But I doubt that making a snowman walk and talk is considered the dark arts," Amelia laughed, finishing off her action of smoothing down the snowman. They had made quite a lot of improvement in such a sort amount of time, the snowman now had 3 neatly rolled balls, all a different size. She stood back temporarily to admire their work before replying to Paige.

"True, why is it called a snowman? Could it not be a snowperson?"
she agreed, "Although, that doesn't sound quite right. Snowman sounds better." she added as an afterthought. Paige had gone off to find something to put as it's nose and arms, "Yes I do know Pinocchio," she said, "Since I didn't think to bring a carrot out with me today, and I don't know how to do a summoning charm, I think the rock will have to do for it's nose."

She laughed when Paige had put her candy cane into the snowman, it looked like it was eating the candy cane. "That's perfect!" Amelia nodded in agreement, "Here, this'll make it better." she took her scarf off, ignoring the freezing temperature and the fact that she'd definitely need that scarf later on and she wrapped it around the snowman.

"There! Now it's wearing a scarf, I hope you don't mind that it's Hufflepuff."
Amelia said, she wasn't sure whether Paige was a Hufflepuff or not. "Other than that, it's perfect! I think we did a great job, what do you think?"
