Only the wind will hear pv Logan B. finished

When Logan had gone home for the holidays, she was sure she would want to go back to Hogwarts as soon as possible, but she found it rather strange that she barely thought of the school at all while she was a home. The young Hufflepuff was actually missing her brothers now that she was back at school.

The holidays had gone surprisingly well. For the first few days of break, Logan had mostly ignored her father and brothers, but after Henry and his family came for dinner on Christmas day, everything seemed to get better. Logan and her father came to a mutual agreement and started to get along better. After Christmas, she went to her Grandparents house in Cornwall. She was rather happy to see her grandparents, as it had been a while since she had seen her Grandmother and even longer since she had spoken to her grandfather, as they were not on the best of terms. Her uncle and cousin visited them there as well, which increased Logan's happiness. Overall, Logan's holidays ended wonderfully with a mutual agreement between her grandfather and father on when he should get married and she got to spend time with her best friend.

That is how Logan found herself walking towards the great lake with a book in her hand. Her grandmother wanted her to learn her family's native language, Norwegian, so she now had a book to learn the language. "Takk- Thank you," Logan said out loud as she listened to her boots crunch against the hard ground. She had come out here to practice, assuming no one was going to be out here. Glancing down, she smiled as Sherlock ran ahead of her to attempt to catch a stray snowflake falling from above. "Sherlock," she laughed as the cat meowed and took off running again. Still laughing, Logan looked back down at her book, a grin on her face.

Eyes closed and head against the bark of the tree, Henry took a rather deep breath as his thoughts consumed him and the twelve year old fell obvious to the world. As the sounds around him rustled in the wind before fading into the background making room for memories and thoughts that were as vivid in his mind's eye as if he had his eye's open and it was happening at that moment in time.

Facing away opposite from my father, I stood next to my older brother and stared to looked into his eyes. Worry filled my eyes something that I usually had because of my anxiety as he and father were in a yelling match about keeping secrets, engagements, and earning money on the side. My twin sister stormed out the minute we came back and I haven't seen her since that night... something's wrong with her but what... Arthur and father won't stop their screaming and I don't blame Art since father did lie to us but can't we forget and I leave to go live with Arthur? Loki would love that idea, I know it... but how will I face Rose back at Hogwarts... our parents are engaged.....

Henry kept his eyes closed and not paying attention to the world as his thoughts haunted him. Meanwhile Loki decided to wander around and spotted a familiar cat and owner duo, running up to Sherlock before friendly pawing him a bit and then going to following the cat.

Logan continued down the path, not really paying attention to anything other than her book. That is, until she noticed a familiar orange cat come running over to her and Sherlock. "Hello there Loki," Logan greeted the cat as she watched him run off with Sherlock. The Hufflepuff only smiled and laughed at the duo before looking around for the owner of the little orange cat.

Slightly in the distance, she could see the shape of someone leaning against a tree and immediately knew who it was. As quietly as possible, she walked over to the boy, although her boots did not do much to silence her footsteps. Once close enough, she looked down at her book and grinned as she snapped it closed as loudly as possible. "Sleeping outside in Scotland, in January has not been your smartest idea yet Charm." She stated with a grin on her face as she looked down at the boy, waiting for him to open his eyes.

The brunette hadn't seen or been in contact with her best friend since him and his family came over for Christmas. She hoped the rest of his break was as great as hers, but she knew that it probably wasn't the case. She still hoped he at least had a bit of fun the rest of it though.

Eye closed as the cold chill of the wind blew against his face as he took calm rather slow breaths and for a moment everything around the twelve year old was silent and only his thoughts were brooming in his head until a familiar voice came out of the silence.

Opening his eyes when he saw his best friend, Henry grinned a bit before pushing his hair back and moving a bit on the trunk to give her space before saying " I was mediating not sleeping thank you Robin," he then laughed a bit before noticing the book in her hand and smiling as he spoke " are you learning a new language Robin?"

The twelve year old knee a few languages including; french, Italian, Russian, and Arabic. That wasn't a lot compared to other pureblood's especially since he was also learning German to his father's request that was moving away from languages Henry leaned his head back against the tree before speaking " how was the rest of your break then?"

Looking out into the great lake while Loki wandered a few feet in front of them but mostly staying with Sherlock a smile appeared on the boy's face before he started fidgeting with his fingers before speaking " so how would you like to crash two weddings Robin."

"Meditating, sleeping, close enough." The Hufflepuff laughed as she sat down beside the Slytherin boy. A smile was on Logan's face as she held the book out to Henry. "Norwegian, my grandmother insists that I learn her home language as I don't know any other languages. At least it doesn't seem that hard to learn right now." Logan knew that it was hard to learn a new language, and being as busy as she was she was surprised on how fast she was learning some of it.

At the mention of her break, Logan grinned happily, bouncing in her spot almost. "It went wonderfully, Grandfather and Father came to an agreement, Artemis and I spent quite a bit of time talking about what we have missed since it has been two years since we last saw each other. It went very well. How was yours?" Logan was speaking extremely quickly with how excited she was. What she hadn't mentioned was that she had gotten his birthday present as well, something he wasn't going to be able to see until they got out of school, but she would tell him that on his birthday.

Glancing at where Henry was looking, Logan grinned at the sight of Sherlock and Loki. They seemed to get along so well, and that made Logan happy because Sherlock had someone to spend time with. She quickly turned to Henry though when he said about crashing two weddings. "Well my grandfather and father agreed that he had to be married within two years, but he could also choose who he wanted to marry so the wedding was off. What other wedding are we going to be crashing?" Logan questioned as she turned her body towards him with a frown on her face.

Henry playfully rolled his eyes and let out a laugh as his best friend compared meditating to sleeping before listening to her talk about learning a language; Norwegian. Which intrested the know it all boy that he spoke " that's bloody cool robin, is it hard? Brimley maybe once you learn, you can teach me Norwegian and I could teach you a language?" Before he started to count off his fingers as he spoke " I could teach you; French, Italian, German, or Arabic? French is probably the easiest in my opinion."

Then their conversation moved to winter break, a topic that Henry wasn't looking forward to as he looked back at Sherlock and Loki glad to see them playing together and getting along even through it seemed like Loki followed Sherlock and looked up to the cat. Anyway the boy was glad that both cats were getting along as he spoke " that's great robin, mine was okay I guess. Same thing as last year really."

Henry knew that he would need to tell Logan soon,
she was his best friend and he trusted her completely not to mention it seemed like the girl knew everything about him so it was only a matter of time until he told her and that she knew, so he took a deep breath before speaking.

"I'm glad you father gets a choice and everything worker out for you robin," Henry spoke and smiled toward his best friend before looking away and adding " over the last days of winter break, my father became engaged to his secret girlfriend whom he will be marrying during the summer holiday," leaning his head back on the tree as he looked out at the reflection shimmering on the great lake, the twelve year old continued " he's going to be marrying; Pearl Moon. Uh she's Rose Moon's mum, I think you two dueled before?" Giving his best friend a hint of a smile before glancing back at the lake.

Logan grinned at Henry as he spoke about maybe learning Norwegian after she was able to speak it. She thought that would be a good idea, as she didn't know any other languages and Henry knew many. He would get to learn something different and she would be able to impress her father. Continuing to grin, Logan flipped open her book to the introduction and pointed out different words. "It isn't too hard, many of the words are very similar to those in English. Man is mann, Apple is eple." She knew the harder words would be completely different, but for now everything was rather simple and she didn't have to change words to mean make them mean something completely different. "I teach you Norwegian and in return you have to teach me French. I think my family would approve of that."

Logan listened to Henry speak for a moment before holding her hand up in a stop motion. "Wait, when did your father get a secret girlfriend?" She questioned as she glanced over at her best friend with a bewildered look on her face. Maybe he had told her that in the past, she honestly couldn't remember, but who gets engaged without telling their children. Oh wait, her father also did that. "Never mind ignore that. So let me get this straight. Your father has had a secret girlfriend and over winter break he announced that he is marrying said secret girlfriend in the summer who also happens to be the mother of someone in our year and we have met before." The Hufflepuff was quiet for a moment after she recapped everything for herself as she thought about a solution. She quickly wrapped her arms around Henry in a tight hug as she started to speak again.

"It is okay Henry, you family can have both of my brothers and I will take you. Problem solved," she giggled as she held onto the boy tightly. Logan was slightly serious though, if the boy every needed anything he could come over whenever he needed, it wasn't like she was going to be going many places.

Henry watched her flip to a different page before pointing out words, making a mental note in his head to remember them as he silently mouth out the two words that Logan spoke in Norwegian. The boy would then nod a bit and with a half laugh before shaking his head back along Erik a few strands of hair before speaking "it's a deal then, excellente uh that meant excellent," smiling at his best friend before the topic changed to something the boy rather not discuss.

"I don't really know, probably at the beginning of second year maybe," Henry replied thinking how long was his father dating her but what really bugged him was now 'fatherly' he was being those her kids and all which was something he usually was not toward his own kids.

" yep, we met during the winter break which was awkward but also where they became engaged. Imagine how awkward classes will be between Rose and me now," Henry replied brushing back a few strands before feeling Logan hug him and he wrapped his arms around her also and hugged her back which brought him comfort.

Laughing a bit at the joke, which Henry thought about himself. Not returning home and staying with his Older brother or a friend over the summer holiday sounded like a dream come true as he spoke " I'll definitely keep that in mind, I know Anna would love that," slightly remembering the damage that his twin and her twin brothers caused during christmas dinner.

Logan grinned at Henry as she continued to hug him. "Don't let this get to you, it will only stress you out, but don't hide your feelings, it never ends will for anyone," She told the boy honestly. She could remember hiding her feelings after her mother passed away. It was fine for a bit until she finally exploded and became angry with everyone. Glancing out at the lake, Logan grinned as she watched Sherlock take off after something before running back and climbing a tree.

It was silent at the lake, other than the sound of the waves on the shore and the wind blowing through the trees. It reminded her of when she got the letter from her brothers in fall and Henry had come out to comfort her. She smiled at the memory and shifted some of her hair behind her ear as she looked up at Henry again. Slowly she pulled her fox necklace from around her neck and smiled down at it as she rolled it around in her hand. Quickly Logan looked back up at her best friend, making sure it didn't seem like she was ignoring him, as that was the last thing she would ever do.

"Anna would love to have my brothers there to cause trouble with. I feel like you father would probably send the boys back though," she said with a grin as she dropped her necklace back around her neck.
